re: cartuneWhat's The Best 3d Animation Software? For free, Blender & G-max. Blender is a lot harder to learn than G-max, but I'm sure the people that create the incredible CGI I've seen from 3ds & Maya could do the same with Blender. I'm not a great CGI artist, but I'm getting better and created some pretty good stuff using Blender. I'd love to try Maya & 3ds, but the price! ouch! I'm not good enough yet to make good use of a 30day trial, so I gotta stick with the Free stuff for now. -reply by wayoutthr

Clients...Best Email Client For GmailLets take a look... Every mail client is with some advantages and disadvantages... 1. Outlook: Outlook is Microsoft product. All looks good with it but problems are slow synchro, too many bugs and biggest one --- ONLY ONE ACOUNT IS SUPPORTED. If you try to use other one. Its all mess or it crashes in few days.No compression support, Easy hacking support, shows your password and everything easily. Not free, comes with Office Suite or you can buy it separately. 2.Thunderbird: Everybodys favorite now a days. But some issue are unresolved. Many times it downloads only the unread messages NOT ALL (even you start it for the very first time). Not much secured but ok ok compression and multiple account support. Trendy and easy handling makes it lead. Addons support is the best feature you can have here also its FREE. 3. THE BAT: HERE COMES THE KING. Yes Bat is with multiple account support, PASSWORD SECURITY FOR EACH ACCOUNT SEPARATELY, HIGH compression, Message filtering, Attachment handler, downloads fast, Don't reveal you information openly, have search capabilities and other things to rely on. BUT ITS NOT FREE. There are two edition to buy-- HOME and PRO. Hope I helped Thank you. Have A Nice Day. -reply by Dr. Mrinal Buddekar

Dish Network - Scam Scam Scam! Do Not Trust Them!
iGuest replied to anwiii's topic in General Discussion
Dish will not tell you what your contract will cost you.Dish Network - Scam Scam Scam! Do Not Trust Them! I was going to sign up with Dish. The special price was going to add up to $690 for 2 years, a good chunk of change, not the top rung either, but was wary so I asked them what will my entire cost be for the 2 year contract? They went and asked and a few times he came back with evasive answers. I kept asking and finally he said they could raise the advertised rates at any time. So I said give me a range of how high it might go. No, was the final answer we cannot tell you what the real rates will be on the contract you are signing. So I did not sign. There is a lot of great programming on the web, and more all the time. On air digital converters give me 55 channels in LA. </p><p>No matter who you sign with, make sure you ask them what the entire contract will cost! Good luck. -reply by mike Culhane -
Want A Internet Radio Station For Free
iGuest replied to manyak's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Not freeWant A Internet Radio Station For FreeYou have to be liscensed to opperate a internet radio station at least in the USA. There are places like loudcity that will help you with that you pay them a monthly fee and theyare able to sub license you and they take care of your royalities. You can either send them a list of music played or you can use something like sam that supports .Pal scripts and it will send it to them actomatically. -reply by Jonathan -

runescape?Best Free Mmorpg Out ThereUhhh, haven't heard runescape thrown out there... Don't know anything about these other games... Runescape is a pretty good one because some of these you have to pay after like 30 days or something, on runescape you can go completely unpaid, no download. Most people think it's corny becuase they are too stupid to read the text at the begining and actually pay attention to what they're doing in the tutorial. Runescape is pretty much 3-d I would actually pay attention to the tutorial and give it a shot. -reply by runescape?

Creating New Process Under Alternate Credentials (createprocessasuser)
iGuest replied to tansqrx's topic in Programming
Executable WrapperCreating New Process Under Alternate Credentials (createprocessasuser)I have a problem relating to the same type of issue but in my case I have created a Visual Basic .NET 2008 executable that when I run it I can successfully allow a normal domain user who is logged in to his/her desktop interactively to run a program with elevated domain privileges. I know this is working because if I just run the executable as a user I get an access denied error but running the executable wrapper it works fine. Now the problem I am having is when I push this new program from our Network Access Control (NAC) device so the logged on user can self-remeidate the problem without involving an Administrator and maintain network access it fails with an Access Denied error. I have determined that the NAC is using the Task Scheduler service to start a new task which is running under the NT AuthoritySystem account. I know this because I added debugging code to the wrapper application to determine the currently logged on user right before it hits the lines of code that start the remediation executable under the elevated privileges. This code is returning NT AuthoritySystem and that seems correct since the Task Scheduler service runs under this account. It appears to be failing when it tries to access the executable file to run that was copied into a directory that is created on the fly during program execution. I also have the file permissions set to Everyone Full Control on the executable file and still get an Access Denied. I thought NT AuthoritySystem should have Full access to every file by default but am now at wits end trying to figure out the Access Denied error. Also in my situation I am running the application interactive because the logged in user needs to provide some simple input while the elevated program is running. -reply by Shawn B -
What Is The Best Emailer That You Have Ever Seen? Mine is Gmail =P
iGuest replied to AskAndrewD's topic in General Discussion
I perfer hotmailWhat Is The Best Emailer That You Have Ever Seen?I love HOTMAIL! I'm forced to use google for school and just don't care for it. Things I dislike about gmail:-format, hotmail has really cool themes and just looking at the page is nice-spam, I RARELY get spam on hotmail, with gmail I get them constantly-grouping, maybe it's just me, but sometimes I prefer not to have all my emails grouped together. For example I may want to just respond on one issue to a single person (when multiple people are copied), but I just haven't figured out how to do that yet, I prefer all emails separate!I don't know why hotmail gets such a bad reputation, I love it. -
Age Of Empires The Conquerers On Hamachi Unable to join game
iGuest replied to PB_jelly22's topic in Science and Technology
Hamachi and AgesAge Of Empires The Conquerers On Hamachi You don't have to downgrade hamachi. Its as simple as this, In XP go to control panel, Then Network Connections, Then at the top you should see the menu bar, Click on advanced, Click advanced settings. Then simply move hamachi to the top of that list. The problem is that ages gives you the IP of the highest priority network device. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Here is how you do it in vista, Cheers. This will not help people with the unable to join game problem. The to soultions ( unproven to me) that I found were to change your computer name to something with 5 normal characters, and upgrade DX9. -reply by SlyNine Fix to many Ages and Hamachi problemsAge Of Empires The Conquerers On Hamachi This probably wont help Jelly22, But it may help many with Hamachi and Ages 2. Ok, I found a solution with hamachi and age of empires 2. AFTER 2 YEARS!! PS If this doesn't work use Hamachi 1.0.1.1, and be careful with Linksys WRT54GS Version 6 routers. This router is the reason I couldn't figure out the problem for 2 years. If anyone has any idea why I'd be happy to know. -reply by SlyNine -

I have a dell studio 15, and I love it. It's my first computer, so I don't really know of any other laptops to compare it to, so I don't really know if my opinion is valid. The only problem that I have had with it so far is the touch sensitive media keys-occasionally they don't work, or it goes on and all of a sudden blasts up the volume if you are listening to music. But it usually only happens when you start it up, for the first few minutes, and then its find again.

Noob has problemsHow To Assign A Virtual Domain Name To Your Localhost.I have run through your very well written process. Doing so crashes apache. I am using xampp 1.7 on ubuntu hardy 8.1 The only difference is that httpd.Conf in my version has a "include httpd-vhosts.Conf file line. If I put the virtual name code there I get 403 code forbidden. Does not matter if I change or block permissions. Is there somewhere else on httpd.Conf that I can change permissions. The only line I see is already set for all. Just learning so if it is obvious please be kind. -reply by Todd

Telemarketing Calls, How Do You Stop Them!?!
iGuest replied to birudagmawi's topic in General Discussion
The Canadian DO NOT CALL list is an absolute farce. Is does nothing to prevent local businesses from calling you at home. Hell, I even had Bell Canada call me 3 times in oneweek to solicit more services to me, despite the fact they send me adverts in my bills, nevermind the millions they spend on advertising. When I told them NEVER to call me again to sell me their crap, they told me it would take 4-6 weeks to take me off their call list. When I informed them that I had a broken back and would sue the snot out of them for harrassment, that 4-6 weeks became immediate. One point I wish to make is, the FCC and the CRTC should be at the FOREFRONT of preventing these types of calls. And I don't mean these stupid and often useless do not call lists, I mean put an end to them immediately. Both organisations know the amount of fraud that takes place over the phone as well and yet all they do is issue warnings. Typical government bullcrap. They talk a mean game but when it comes down to it, they have no guts to actually DO something about it. I dunno, maybe the do not call legislation has some teeth in the US but in Canada, it's as big a joke as the idiots that run our country. -
