Yeah im with you, fantastico is great and saves lots of time and is pretty useful for testing programs out before usi9ng them, like im testing b2 evolution and Wordpress but cant decide which is better, wonder if the next feature for fantastico will be a rating scheme where it rates them or is that the purpose of these forums.

Wooo another SMF fan, also its just been added to fantastico so it probably will get installed here as its a mimic or something of fantastico, but SMF rocks. Maybe Xisto should switch over?

If you ever need someone to talk top the bot contact me, i love talking to bots and trying to teach them stuff, although if its very dumb keep it away and try some of the AIML files maybe they can brighten it up a little.

Neither are easyier than SMF (simplemachines.org) it has its own template system built into the admin panel, to get a really different theme you only need to edit 3 files and youve got something way different, there was even someone making a notice board theme where it had pins and messages like that, and there is a comic theme which i think is this http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?theme=5 and it is really different, and all the theme makers swear by its easyness. Try that.

Hey, Just started using my account for my main forums its taken a while to get them how i want them but now ive got everything working i will post a lot more here and the RV skin is way ebtter than the default after using it for a while. I have been happy and will be without this but the forum system im using SMF (simplemachines.org) has a spell checker that can be used if Aspell/Pspell are installed, and i was wondering if this coukld be added, its pretty useful and free, so this is my request. I was also told i could do it as a CGI application but dont have a clue even whats the latest version or that so i ask the guru's that run the host to consider this, please?Merry Xmas

Does it ever stop, my browser just cant stop loading pages, its a load of junk it keeps throwing out. what is is suppsoed to do. Plus no warning s in Firefox yet.

Doesnt do anything to my Firefox on Win 98 FE, just all says failed. Does anyone get anything that actually crashes or are we waiting of people to get online after crashing. I hate people that dont warn about these things they annoy me because youve often got ot start what you were dojng again.

Im interested in two different distro stated above, SuSE and RedHat, i understand SuSE is very easy to get into and use for general desktop use but ive heard that RedHat is more for servers. I already have seen the SuSE look and have not seen the RedHat, i dont want to move yet and dont want live cd's i really want to go the full way with Dual boot or on a seperate partition. Is Fedora what i should get, SuSE or Redhat or should i look more at debian. Theres a lot to choose from. Im really not sure and do they all work with that daul boot thing that comes with SuZE i forget the name but its blue. Any helpful hints?

Does anyone know how to make a time server like the ones you can use with programs to sync your computer, we have a server for the web at school and id love to be able to make one, i can google anything helpful and this sounds like a good idea, anyone have any clues, although i intend to use it at schoo, can you do it at Xisto in anyway?

Yeah ive tried learning perl before php and its awful to learn and php can do almost anything perl can do anyway. Ive never seen anything in perl that php cant do but im sure there is a limitation somewhere, anyone know of any?

I like the google ads idea and many people have been paid so its not a scam. But you dont get paid iny uor first month for some reason and they have the whole no bad clicking thing, man thats crap.

Everyone keeps posting the ad on .tk can be removed but how, i cant see an option a step by step tutorial would be nice.

Im gonna give FireFTP a try i like the idea of it, but chat zilla was nothing to shout about, filezilla i havent seen yet although ill give it a try, but i still like SmartFTP and net2ftp.com as my main Ftp uploaders.

I ahve to admit ive used SmartFTP for ages and loved it, its free although has a silly message at the start. it works great and ive never had any toruble with Smart fTP in my years of use with it. WS ftp was good but i love my Smart fTP the most. Just my 2 cents.

The best message board that support all of the above is SMF, there is no doubt in my mind that you will love it. Skinable is very easy only takes a little while. Moderation is great, infact its all round great, if you have a reason why not to sue it i would like to know and also the first release after the betas comes out soon, i will make a post when this happens but updates to it are easy and you would find it very easy to update from the release candidate to the real thing when needed, it has proven it is good now go try it. It also has 30 SSI so yuo can make your own portal out of it.

Ineternet Explorer is really bug filled, it gets hit by almost every horrible webmaster on the net, it can be hijacked, broke, spun, infact its a walkign disatser. Browsers like the best one Firefox are safe, they dont get hacked much and well are really just better coded. Firefox can also be themed, and it has tabs which allows more than one page open at once. Firefox is beautiful, you can get themes theres about 70 or something, plus we all love the spread firefox banners. Plus Firefox works slighly faster than IE ive noticed. IE is a piece of junk that should be put in the rycle bin to put it in Microsoftn terms. Opear is nice but Firefox just rules the browser kingdom. Just use Fireofx and well hide IE or soemthing.

I commonly use Frotnpage but i ahve used Dreamweaver, i also learn from HTML 4 for Dummies and a book i found in a locl shop. I wish i could learn more of it and devote more time to it. Maybe you can answer my question, why do some of my images put a big blue border riound them. Its kinda annoyting me.

I like Opera but love FF, FF is a lot easier to use and very fast, i love the tabbing style and mouse gestures work for me perfect without extensions, the only thing that doesnt work is Java. Cant get it to.
