  1. Ok, I'm excited and happy about this latest event. It appears that our friend Joe the Plumber has found out about Propostiton B in Missouri and has written about it in his blog! (you'll remember him from before Obama's election, he was picked up and practicly made a folk hero when he questioned Obama's policies) I am so glad the word is getting out there! When we poor near bankrupt dog breeders have to fight an organization like the Humane Society of the United States that have millions to contribute to promote this riduculous bill, we need all the help we can get!You can read his story here.http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/
  2. Thanks for the warning Opaque, and Buffalo Help for the very good explaination. Even with my limited knowledge, I could almost understand what he meant, he did a really good job of explaining it. As far as Xisto not being a high traffic site, in fact, it is a very high site compared to many the scammers hit. I keep ads on some of the most low traffic sites on the internet, the free ad places, and let me tell you, they are all gleaned by scammers. They are better at finding ads than real customers are without a doubt.
  3. What is it about human nature that makes us want what we can't have more than the things we can have? You need to get over this one. It's screwing up your life, interfering with your schooling and generally wrecking hell and havoc on your life. She has already told you that she is in a relationship with someone else. Your chances with her are between slim and non existant. Give it up and move on. It's not worth it.
  4. Oh anwiii, what a great answer! You are right on the money on this one!And I'm glad you came up with it. I sure couldn't have. I really don't get these so called cyber romances. Makes no sense to me at all. I can understand meeting new people and making friends on line, but romance????? Love/romance are developled from humans using their 5 senses. Site, sound, smell, feel, hear. Granted, you can hear the sound of voice on the phone, and see pictures, but it's just not enough to justify a serious relationship threw a computer without the use of all of one's senses. Maybe I'm just getting too old, but I think the world has gone nuts.
  5. Yes, you definatly need help.I don't know which question to ask. Why did you get a divorce from the first one if you still love him? Or why are you living with another guy if you still love your first one? Or maybe I should ask if you love the one your living with now, why are you messing around with the one you divorced? You could just toss a coin. Or do what somebody else sugested and forget both of them and start over.
  6. Oh it would be agony to work in a place where you werent' friends with the people around you! Work goes much smoother when people are friends and cooperate and help each other. Work is bad enough (that's why they call it work) but if your at odds with the people around you it's going to be 100 times worse.
  7. I have to agreee whole heartedly with mharrison, the greatest deal in the world on the very best web site won't do you a single bit of good if nowbody can find your site. And getting your site out there is the hardest thing in the world to do. Especially for the little guy who does not have a huge advertising budget. That where the bigger companies have a huge advantage.
  8. Hands on experience can be a value in it's self. If you are going to learn a trade or something of value, it might be a fair deal for you. Considering the price of school tutition to learn a new trade. It can be pretty steep in some cases. And then when you factor in the fact that there are some things they really can't teach you in school that you would learn from actually being in the business, it might just be the way to go. Of course, if you have to make a living to support yourself at the same time, that could sure be a problem!
  9. Harlot gave a good discription of what Pay Pal is and does. It is simply a safe way to transfer funds when buying/selling products or services from anywhere in the country. (or I suppose the world now.) It is simular to sending money with Western Union, but it is WAY more economical, Western Union's fees are pretty astronomical percentage wise compared to Pay Pals 3%. I saw recently Western Union had a "special" to send $50 anywere for only $5, in Pay Pal that same transaction would of cost you $1.50 any time. I really like Pay Pal, it has helped my business out immensly. I know when people are seriously interested and fully intend to purchase a pup if they will put a deposit down with Pay Pal. I don't have to put up with the waiting and wondering if the check really is in the mail.
  10. Thanks for the link, but I'm a bit leary of downloading anything right now. I did find this info but it wouldn't let me copy.Intel ® Celeron ® CPU 450@2.20 ghz3.00GB64 bit operating systemThings are not getting any better. I can't get my printer to work with the new computer, and now, horror of horrors, my software from my old camera will not install, and I use the program in it to edit my pictures. I tried to find some free softward for photo editing, and did find some, but I suck at figuring out how things work and I can't even find the cropping tool in it. And the software in my old computer brought up a program that would actually delete the pictures in my camera after I downloaded them, which I can't do from my camera.
  11. Welcome Idiomus! It's so cool that we have people here from all over the world, it's one of the things I really like about this forum. Since I seldom get off the farm it fun to at least read about what is going on around the planet.

    Dab Here

Oh cool somebody with a sense of humor, I like that. But gosh amighty, another computer person? I suppose it would be too much to hope for another dog breeder to pop in here, but hey, can we at least get a couple farmers???? I feel so all alone.... Don't mind me Dab, welcome to Xisto!
  13. Finally had to replace my old HP computer. I got a reconditioned emachine. I am not real crazy about it right now. It's supposed to have a lot more memory than my old one but I am really worried about one thing that it seems to have a problem with is my Zuma game. It plays, but the balls quiver so badly I can't focus my eyes well enough to shoot at them. It gets especially bad when I hit a blow up ball or the pointer comes on, it's really jerky and almost impossible to follow. And since I haven't even started to load up all my software, I am really afraid when I get everthing else in it and have even less memory it will get worse. So, what is everyones take on the emachine as a computer, and is there anything I can do to fix my game? Or should I take this stupid thing back?I did get windows 7 though, which I was wanting to try. It's driving me crazy, can't find anything, but eventually I will figure it out. Though it will probably take many swear words to do so.
  14. That's funny, because before I found Knowledgsutra all my friends were recomending GoDaddy web hosting and domain name registration. I have mine with Network Solutions and so the possible buy out of GoDaddy won't affect me, but if I had my domain name registered with them I'd sure be worried about it. Newly bought out companies seem to always get new owners that the first thing they want to do is jack up the prices, I guess to hurry up and get that investment paying off as quickly as possible.
  15. It has been an extremely hectic and crazy week or 2 here. Between the fight against proposition B and my computer dying I haven't had a chance to even think about visiting here. And when I finally did try this morning, since the death of my computer also took my favorites list with it, I just about didn't get back in here. All I could remember to type in was Xisto, so I am glad that redirect is still working. But it landed me on some weird page that took forever to load, then I had to figure out how to get to the forums from there, but anyway, I did finally manage. I don't have a clue how I am going to keep up hosting credits and still have time to campaigne against prop B. Have to have that web site, but then again, if prop b passes, I will no longer need a web site as I will no longer be raising dogs. Really between a rock and a hard place.
  16. That would certainly be one way to introduce yourself, but hey, there's more to life than computers. Not all of us even like computers. How about some information about general location, hobbies, and of course, most important of all....your pets! I would way rather talk about dogs than computers. I'd sure have a lot more to say that way.
  17. For your sake I hope it works! What a creep. I just don't get humans sometimes. It's amazing the kind of freak personalities manafest themselves when they can hide behind a computer screen and don't have much fear of being found out. Obviously, you are old enough for this (seeing particular body parts) that it was just creepy to you, but not particularly shocking, but imagine if it had been a young child that had recieved the pictures! So much garbage out there! If I had kids I don't think I'd even let them near my computer. They would be way far better off if they were just outside playing with the dogs.
  18. Well Adell, your countries police force doens't have a monopoly on stupidity by any means. I saw a news blurp a couple days ago that had me stomping furiously mad. There was an old man, 65 years old, suffering from pancreatic cancer. He had somehow injured himself, and the paramedics had been called out to treat him. They treated his injury and left, saying he did not need to go to the hospital. The police came and tried to forcable take him to the hospital, the old man said he was just tired and was going to go to bed, he got up off the couch, his hands down at his sides, you could plainly see he was unarmed, and no danger, but the cops started yelling at him to do as they told him to and stop resisting and then they tazered him. While the poor old man was thrashing in agony on the floor you could hear the stupid cop yelling at him to stop resisting, and they tazered that poor man 3 TIMES!!! While he was laying on the floor in horrible pain, the whole time telling him not to resist. I never saw anything so blatantly stupid and cruel in my life! The old man was obviously sick and ill to start with, and though the cops said he was being beligerent and was drunk, HE WAS IN HIS OWN HOME! A person has the right to be drunk and beligerant in their home if they want to. Let me tell you, if cops ever tried that on my old man in our house, you best believe there would be one seriously battered cop carried out of here! Probably in baggies. Those cops should be off the forse and in jail! The old man is sueing, and I hope and pray he wins. That sort of treatment should never be tollerated in our society. It is a flagerant abuse of our rights to be safe and secure in our homes.
  19. Gosh, you made my day, Prop B has me sweating blood, let me tell you! I sure hope the rest of the Missouri Voters are as smart as you are!But you actually kind of proved my point. If you don't like Obummer, it's because he's black. Makes you a racist. Never mind the fact that his total disrespect for our country and our values and our free society. You can't complain about him or your a racist. I got to thinking last night after I posted about your mentioning how he had to work so hard to get where he was. So, let me ask you, have you seen the stories about how as a child he had a paper route to make money for school? What about his flipping burgers at the local malt shop to pay for his high school books and supplys? Or about how he joined the military so he could get his college education with the GI bill? Haven't seen any of those have you? Because they didn't happen. So answer this. How could a kid who was abandoned by his dead beat, drunken bum of a sire, mother remmarried to another one that wasn't any better than the first, lived for a time on food stamps/welfare end up going to college at HARVARD????? Where did the money come from for his collage education? If it makes you feel any better, I didn't like Clinton either.
  20. I know! Blame President Bush!!!! Might as well, he gets blamed for everything else!I think the problem is very complex. Personally I think the big culpret are these stupid machines we park our rapidly expanding rear ends in front of for hours on end. I really never thought I would live to see the day that they had to start an advertising campaigne on TV encouraging children to GO OUT AND PLAY! What is up with that???? When I was a kid you couldn't keep kids in the house, we were outside every minute we could get out, playing games, riding bikes (or horses if you were country kids) and all and all getting tons of exercise. We had health classes in school that taught us about the basic food groups and how we should eat so many servings of each every day, I think they probably still do that. Education is key, and somewhere in there a little common sense might prevail, guidence from parents in food choises, having sit down home cooked balanced and healthy meals with the family might go a long way. I don't think fast food is popular because it's cheap. I can spend more money at McDonalds and still be hungry than I can if I go to a good resturant and have a good meal.
  21. I don't think I equate common sense the same way you do. Some of the things you mention involve advances in science and things we learn from those advances. For example, many years ago people thought the world was flat. After all, that is exactly what they did see when they looked, a flat expance as far as the eye could see. So back then it would of seemed to be common sense to accept the world as being flat. I think common sense is more about things we know and understand, things that cannot change, like being smart enough not to stick your finger in a light socket. Or being smart enough to see the big picture. To understand how things work, and how changing something may not have the desired effect you hoped for because by changing one thing, other things also changed, your basic cause and effect. Way too many people don't think problems all the way threw and end up making matters worse, to me that is what common sense is about.
  22. Hi back at ya K_niten_rSome years back we bought a Ford Aspire. 40 mpg and with the back seat completely removed I can fit in 7-9 small to medium pet taxi's, or believe it or not, 20 bags of dog food. (that's the 40 or 50lb bags, or half a ton.) I have to say, it was a fantastic car. We put almost 300,000 miles on it, and it is still running, but needs a new clutch. We just bought another one we liked it so well. And since Ford didn't take any government bail out money, I am even happier with our choise. I still haven't seen a Chevy Spark. Guess I need to include that one on my next research trip to AutoTrader.com
  23. Wow, somebody that actually tells us a whole bunch about themselves in their introduction! That's definatly different. And also very helpful in making replys too! We have a fair amount of things in common, in pet peeves I do like pink though, and frogs are fine too. I would have to an animal rights wacko's to my peeve list. The only computer game I play is Zuma, so maybe that's why I like frogs??? I'm really not much on computers. I definatly like Harry Potter, and any good sci fi book, as for TV, House is good, and I like Warehouse 13 and Eureka. Favorite actor would have to be Sam Elliot, from westerns, go figure with me being such a sci fi fan? Anyway, welcome and hope you enjoy it here, it is a great site.
  24. Hi Ya Scruppy!I like your little color changing jumping avatar. Reminds me of some kind of critter from Star Wars.
  25. Oh Man, I would love to see you in a pink tutu, but I'm afraid I just don't have the answers for you. I do find myself wondering a lot about very simular questions to what you have brought up. Humankind is very destructive, without a doubt. And downright mean too. Do you ever wonder why on earth people can be so hateful. They often go out of their way to do mean things to total strangers, and even friends and relatives. Take computer viruses for example. What possible fun/satisfaction/joy could you possible get out of ruining the contents of a total strangers computer? It's just beyond me.
