Remove the bevel on the sig. If you want, you can give it a drop shadow, and save it as a transparent .png file, but like Michael said, the bevel pretty much killed the sig.Make the text another color (maybe light brown?). The black is kinda hard to see against a dark brown background. The pop out effect is kinda lost in this sig. Right now, it looks like you just smacked the render on. Try a little blending at the bottom.

My First Sig My first attempt at making a sig
snlildude87 replied to rvalkass's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Needs blending, and lowered opacity on the text. Are you using brushes? If not, go to deviantart.com and download some. Or just read Johnny's tutorial in the tutorials section. -
It's a unique sig. The only thing I don't like is that you killed the pop out effect when you lowered the opacity on the orb. When saving, use the maximum quality (12). Anything lower will look like your monitor is defected, and that's bad.

Yeah, PHP is really easy to learn. It took me no more than a week after learning some basic functions to code my site.If you don't know something, I love how you can just google "php [function name", and Google will bring you to the php.net site immediately.

Second Sig Hopefully a bit better this time
snlildude87 replied to rvalkass's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I'd definately make the background green in this case. Making master chief red would look really weird, and making the background red looks like no effort was put in the sig to create flow.Overall, just pick a color and stick with it throughout the whole sig. If you're good, you can do multi coloring (which is just multiple layer of brushing and a different color on each layer), and your sig will look even better. -
My bad. If your credits go below 0, then it is suspended, and you need to have 4 or more credits to unsuspend it. That's where I got confused.

Is There Any Other Way To Get Credits? other than posting
snlildude87 replied to waterfoul's topic in Web Hosting Support
Ask OpaQue. He might be willing to work out something for you if you have a hectic schedule. -
Why get extra credits? You need credits to keep your web hosting account alive. If your credits drop below 4, then your account will be suspended, and if it drops below -30, then your account will be terminated, and all your files will be deleted. We have to implement this because what would a web hosting forum be useful for if our members left after getting approved for web hosting? This community would die due to lack of content, so all your accounts would die as well.

HmmZ by far. Everything just flows better in his sig. :-/

You can do this yourself. In File Manager, change the permission of whatever directory/folder or file to 777, and you're set to go!

A Little Rusty But Ok Sig

Monochromatic. It's also a little on the dark side. :-/ -
Yes. In your .htaccess file located at the root of your site (inside www or public_html but not in any directory higher or lower than that), append this code to it: redirect 301 / http://blukirby.trap17.com/message.html In message.html located at the root, put up a nice little message that says you moved, and put up a nice large link to your new site. My mistake was not doing this sooner because I thought this method wouldn't work, so my daily unique visitors went from 5000 to 1000. If you have two different layouts for both sites, you can just redirect everyone to your new site: redirect 301 / http://seigikan.net/ This way, search engines will modify their databases to include your new URL. Good luck!

I know you. You're the guy who had a lot of money in the old army system game...the same guy who made me rich in the old game. ^_^Well, welcome back, and have fun posting.

Nice job, dude! The only thing I'd change for this one is to take the scan lines so that it goes below and not over the render. Here's your tag to prove your victory: [url=http://forums.xisto.com/topic/28897-sig-of-the-week-10-voting/;

First "real" Sig using the gimp
snlildude87 replied to ZeroHawk's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Not bad for a first sig. Some things I'd do...add a border like sangdukseo said, blend in the render a bit, and make the render match the background's colors. -
Hmm, I can't really give you specific help because I have no idea what template you are trying to use. Give us the direct URL of your template (where did you get it), and I'll try to do the rest for you.

Bandwidth Overusage Sudden surge in bandwidth usage

Go to your cPanel, click on Manage Redirects, and redirect everything to a page saying that you shut down your site temporarily because you used too much bandwidth. -
Sig Of The Week #8 -- Winner Avalon
snlildude87 replied to snlildude87's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Nah. Your sigs are good, but you just need to read more tutorials. Sooner or later, you'll get the tab.
