Saudi Arabia's King Fahd Died. 1th Monday,August 2005 .
Dragonfly replied to aminzzlink's topic in General Discussion
I too pay my respect to the late king of Saudi Arabia. If we see his personal record and history, he was the one who modernized today's Saudi Arabia and make one of the most prosperous Arab countries in the Arab world. He had also tried his best to harmonize radical Islam leaders and his country's political leader. Though shaky, he has always tried his best to come in terms with the United States, remember the Gulf War when US used its Air and land space for its troops to attack Iraq. In fact, Saudi Arabia acts as a balance of power in the Arab world which was closely nurtured by the King. Long Live the King! -
Trap17 Forum Board Version Upgraded!
Dragonfly replied to OpaQue's topic in Alerts, News & Announcements
I like the latest version of this board/forum. Simply because of the loading speed. Earlier it took me several minutes just to surf around the forum since loading time was much. Besides posting and reply, etc become much faster as well. Also the color combination is very friendly to eyes. Everything is clear and conspicous. Since my internet speed is a concern I would always recommend fast loading sites and forums. -
New Web Site Design. What ya think?
Dragonfly replied to dontmaimyourself's topic in Websites and Web Designing
If given a chance I would go for the first one. The second one though it looks wider in bigger resolutions, it will look too small in small screen resolution. The first - the current page is fixed if I'm not wrong and will display correctly in all types of resolutions, which is a concern, for many people are still using 800x600 pixels screen resolution. But if you increase percentage width to 100% it may well work but it will be looking funny in huge resolutions again. The second one design is too simple, I would rather go for the first one. But I feel in both the cases its too dark. I don't think users will feel like going to completely dark website. If background is dark, the fonts and others must be lighter, just for the visitors' eyes only. -
I was very excited when I got my account here. I was amazed how the registration worked perfectly. What I meant is that I've never done the way a site is being set up like we see in Xisto dot com. Once you receive the password and login id its that one has to set up the account by his own. Which is really impressive. Also I was very excited to upload the files to the server. It didn't take more than few hours to put my site online after I got the account. And there after, there's no looking back... the rest as they say is a History! blah, blah, blah

Google is a very professional company and Gmail also they cannot shut down this and that without giving enough time to users if they have to shut down. So this question doesn't arise. They use to give notice much in advance, besides I don't think they will take risk of losing so many users around the world, that will be losing their image. Its a billion dollar company now, giving out huge space isn't a problem for them.

Questions About Credits. Something weird.
Dragonfly replied to Se?or Maniac's topic in Web Hosting Support
I have never experienced such things because I always make sure that my credits are enough for me to stay uninterrupt for whichever period I won't be able to surf the net. My account is always in the safer side and even if some threads are deleted due to any events upto 10 credits deletion shouldn't efffect my whole account. Therefore i suggest that everyone should keep enough credits in case if any thread is removed or deleted where your posts and credits may actually reside. -
Yes, a gree with what the two loving members have said but not the way they've expressed. Its just that this guy might have thought since the hosting itself is free, may be he thought we could get sig for free, besides the forum is filled with 'sig for this and that username'. I had jokingly asked some members in the past when I saw their impressive sig if they can make one for me. I think its fair enough to say what he thinks and of course you guys do have the right to say what you want to say. May be he doesn't want to lose his credits and have asked for it for free. If you are zero at graphics sigs are such an ardous task, and for you guys you coud make it whichever way you want. Please often mind your language!

Very nice sig. I like all the colors and its combinations have awed me. I think however that the left right doesn't seem to look quite normal compare to the right eye of the man in the sig. It could be more uniform or similar. But the lip expression is excellent. I wish the picture reveals more of the man in the sig too. Its a gift from Johnny.... I'm still waiting for my own to come on my way. I rate the above sig 9/10... its almost 10/10..

200ths Post Sig! Sig for my 200th post.
Dragonfly replied to Kubi's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Congratulations on your double century (being from cricket loving country fifties, hundreds, and specially two hudred and three hundred usually come to my mind in terms of century a batsmen would have made) ! The sig however doesn't quite tell us what you intended. Those lights seem like something, light is coming out finally after your post reach double century or I don't know.. just a guess... :DI like the background and the word (i mean the font) Kubi matches with the background.... Keep up the journey and enjoy ! -
London Bombers Arrested! Link to news site
Dragonfly replied to Goosestaf's topic in General Discussion
Yes, intelligence set up is not that bad in any countries, especially in the western countries. But usually they come to know only after everything, almost everything has happened, it was difficult to convict before they eventually did it, this is the irony. However, whether they catch two, three bombers or not, now it seems that there are thousands of them prepared to do this kind of act as something holy and good for their soul. And arresting them brings relief to many of us, but the root may never be rooted out which I'm so much concern about. -
If you have installed or uploaded index.php and index.html as it is without cap-lock of any letters, if you type your site at the url locator, it will point to index.html not index.php, and there is absolutely no problem in keeping the two files together there. But if you want your site visitors to see index.php file, you must remove or rename index.html file. I'm using index.php as my index but whenever there is problem in php I just move index.php which I keep inside some other folder to show that something isn't working in my site, as a notice. You must check whether index.html file exist as it is and if possible EDIT the file and see the source code, copy and see how it appears at dreamweaver, you will come to know about it. All the best.

Kawaii sounds cute after reading your post here. However I couldn't figure out how it should be pronounced at all. Learning something, some other language, culture always fascinated me and I would make a point to know well, well the way to begin may be to know how to pronounce we as well. (well is used many times )I've visited the site and wonder how they like it to keep two scroller for one webpage a part from the normal scroller. The frontpage itself one has two scroll, that's quite inconvenient for any users, I supposed. And the site font looks funny viewing with firefox. They are just too small to read with many long posts. The question is not having enough space, even the menu has so much space left for font-size to be increased to some extend - readable. And the web templates look attractive for girls, but it may not be so for boys and men.

Very nice tutorial. I haven't thought of attempting to know about xml, but I must face the reality it's all happening all over. I cannot remain muted and take no actions to the changing web languages. In fact, one should know all these. Thanks for sharing it here. It must have taken much time for you to write down one by one detailly. However, its worth you get the credits and also you are being helpful to members.

How To Make A Sig Rotator for people with multiple sigs
Dragonfly replied to snlildude87's topic in General Discussion

Rapture? What is the rapture, explain/debate here
Dragonfly replied to wild20's topic in General Discussion
This is about faith and it depends from where you heard about rapture. If your Church or pastor isn't teaching you correctly you will never understand this rapture. And if we discuss it here, i don't think we will end up anywhere, because faith is something you can always question, the definition of faith itself is that to believe in something we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Therefore, instead of putting it across here, I suggest you search google using 'rapture christians faith' as the keyword. You will get many websites related to this and you will also come to know how different is the way different people understand and belief within Christian domain as well. -
Another London Bombing Similar to the bombings that killed 56
Dragonfly replied to canpolitics's topic in General Discussion
I cannot understand this madness and you know guys how proud they are! They(group who are responsible) immediately announce that they are responsible for the attack. Of course they are yet again affiliated with Al-Qaeda. Why don't they make demand first? Why attack innocent people. No god can justify this madness. How traumatize the people in London are! after the first attack. And what does it serve? Do they think that they will give in to what they demanded? And where is their demand. I was shocked when I woke up this morning as I picked up newspaper and couldn't believe why things keep repeating. It is also difficult for any security set up to protect civilians in this kind of attacks. They don't come in planes and visible vehicles, but they are human bombs ready to die anywhere any streets. Are they human being? Or just the instrument of devil? This madness must stop immediately. -
I'm struggling or stucked at phpBB 2.0.10 and see what has happen, in five months many updates have to be enforced. Its good that these guys are really working hard on those bugs, equally I have to follow their pace, but I'm not.. I just stuck in 2.0.10 and I don't have enthusiasm to update this time. Still my forum is working. I'm still observing what is going on.

Windows Shortcut Tips&tricks Windows shortcut TipsTricks
Dragonfly replied to sader's topic in Operating Systems
Nice tutorial but practically I wonder who would use all those shortcut commands, the interface of Windows is very userfriendly that one doens't have to struggle doing all those but still can use his/her system with ease. It rather reminds me the days of DOS which was rather more or less for professional users and boring internface. I wish not to go back to the past but to move forward.. -
Lg Electronics Smartphone It doesnt get sweeter than this..
Dragonfly replied to squall780's topic in Mobile Phones
Each day a better and improved phones keep coming out in the market. Today you may write about this Lucky Goldstar Mobile phone, but tomorrow if Nokia comes out again with another phone aiming to beat the LG phone that will be the talk of the town again, but there are too many players including Siemens, motorola, Samsung, phillips, BenQ, etc. Once I went on to praise one of the Samsung models and the next day Nokia came out with another great model. Now I just watch and see what is happening around me. I don't go for those nor envy about it, firstly I'm not going to buy them for they keep changing the best as time goes by! hehe. Secondly, I'm happy with what I possess right now. Thirdly, I could save money not keep changing the phone. -
Argh, Choose Please.. between 4 possible layouts -_-
Dragonfly replied to HmmZ's topic in Websites and Web Designing
None of them... just kidding. I would go for layout one simply because it is simple, fast loading and eyes-friendly meaning userfriendly. Even though many people have access to broadband but loading time of any website remains a big issue. Therefore, website must be simple and fast loading at first. However, one cannot compromise everything just because he wants fast loading site. Looks and desings also are important. In this case the first one would have won the race. Others contain much images and it took a while to open up the pages. The third one, I suppose this looks like msn dot com layout type - the kind of website I least liked, atleast according to my taste and flavour. The second choice will be the second layout but i wouldn't let the main background (content background) remain as black. It just don't match, but the overall layout is good, minor changes can be made easily, specially the color combinations. -
How To Install Winxp And Linux To The Same Compute a double boot
Dragonfly replied to guangdian's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for the tutorial but why do I need to install linux at this point when I actually can do virtually everthing using Linux, (this is in response to the one who said 'why one need windows when linux is already installed). Linux has not been a common man's operating system, its awed (I use this) interface doesn't look impressive at all. Besides like some members have said, I have to agree that some games and software programs do not work in Linux as well. -
Nice tutorial on the back button. Thanks for sharing, I think people start to hate keep hitting on the back button from the browser top page, but they want to hit where they just finished reading the content. So, this function is becoming more and more important. For favicon I just saved first as png file and then change the extension file as ico it works this way too. And like some have said without link also if we place it in public_html folder it still works. And xcitem dot com site cannot open. It says time out. I think the server is down for now. I'll see next time.

You are giving a stiff and healthy competition to saint michael which is good for members to enjoy seeing the competition hotting up. How about replacing the letters Johnny in the sig with Dragonfly? heheI like already angered dragon in this sig. Dragons are just looking good with those kind of reddish colors mixing with anything.

White Tiger Sig This is Sig #50 WOOHOOO :P
Dragonfly replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Really nice and excellent brush up. Saint Michael! I've been requesting you to make one sig for me. Since Japanese and Chinese scripts aren't familiar with me you put anything it just looks cool in my eyes. I used to think that to them even English letters may look interesting too. Sometime ago I showed one Chinese friend some Chinese character and he didn't really know what it meant. CHinese is interesting in that sense.BTW I'm drifting away from the topic. The scripts are nicely blended with the background, its just awesome..
