  1. Could you please a little bit more elaborate. I'm interested in using this script. where do I keep the images and also file path is not mentioned clearly. Please...
  2. Yes, thanks for the link. Very much like you I don't understand how it works. It looks very messy. However the news (weblog?) sound interesting. Something like this, 'Anti-Gmail bill introduces in....", Who holds Google share? I suppose they can improve the page. It looks very complicated since nothing is arranged properly...
  3. I'm using Yahoo messenger as well as MSN messenger. I do have advantage of using them as much as I have disadvantage. If someone pm me when I'm really busy its a problem. In this regard I like yahoo messenger. I keep my status invisible. Besides the edge of Y! messenger over msn one is its offline messages. This is truly convinient as I can always drop a line or two which I may have to compose an email if Yahooo messenger is not around...
  4. To be more precise Firefox doesn't call skin, its called theme. I'm using phoenicity 1.4.1. I like the look and feel of the buttons. As usual its fast and reliable. I keep changing between two themes - the other one is Qute latest version. Have you tried these two yet?
  5. I'm using the following tools for designing a webpage :- Macromedia DreamWeaver MX 2004- Macromedia Flash MX 2004 (very basic )- Adobe Photoshop 7- Davor's PHPeditor.
  6. Mahesh2k, The question you've put forward is not very clear. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ is a correct link provided mysite = the active freehosting account with Xisto.com. For linking the site, if you can tell us what kind of programme you are using for building your site. WHichever it is we need to know 1). which files you need to link. if it is in the same folder <a href="filename.htm>File Name </a> will link it. If they are inside follow the next explanation. 2). the files you are trying to link where are they? Are they inside the same folder as index or they are within another folder. If they are inside some folder, you will have to link <a href="somefolder/filename.htm>File which is inside some folder </a> 3). If you have done the above linking in your computer itself, you can use ftp client to upload. Or go to your cpanel at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ > File Manager > public_html > Upload files. But this will probably upload only files but not the folders if you have created one. Therefore the best way is to upload using ftp client. After you connected click public_html and when the folder (empty) open up just transfer (select all in the local site and drag it to the remote site) all your files including folders to the same location. It will configure by itself. If you need further help, please let me know..
  7. If there's no internet, my lifestyle would have definitely be very different. First of all I won't spend much time on computer (who wants to use computer without internet except for games - which is kid's stuffs? ). secondly, I won't bother what is php, asp, isp, forum, email, chat, etc. I'd be doing the same thing I've been doing but much more time I would have devoted to those, not sitting in front of the computer and looks very busy all the time.. lol
  8. I agree that Gmail have changed the way we look at email. However, there are some aspects Gmail hasn't fulfilled. Its pointless to have cluster (listless list) of email in our inbox. My only wish is that like Yahoo and others, it allows us to create folder where we can keep. (marking star and putting inside doesn't make the inbox cleaner either). It shouldn't be very complicated for them to allow us to create folders and once the concern mail is shifted to such folders - those mails shouldn't remain at the inbox either. Otherwise our Inboxes look like JUNKMAIL boxes... what do you say?
  9. spawn, it may be true in many advance countries. But in many countries specially developing countries phones do not come with mp3. In fact, polyphonic phones are considered something hi-fi. Many people still uses monotonic phones not because they want but that's what they can afford and its economical too. I feel that many companies will continue to make ringtones.
  10. Its hard to say which one is good. If money is not a problem I suggest you buy costly one, mostly they come good. I've been changing phones often just because I don't get the right kind of phone. For me money is an object so its hard to decide.
  11. I'm using three browsers. Internet explorer for security (certificates signed) related sites. Firefox for all types of browsing and Netscape from time to time just to have an experience. I would like to try OPERA though.
  12. I've tried to do the guideline you've mentioned above. But I can't see any difference. Comparing to the IE browser in my system Firefox is many a times faster. I should be satisfied with this...
  13. My hobbies include web designing whether I'm good at it or not, Listening to music, reading books, photography (which I've really not done any though). Lately like Amby said, I've also discovered that being on a forum has become part of my hobbies. However my real fear is that I may spam around while trying too hard. . I hope I do not fall there... forums are where I get support, it a new hobby too. thanks.
  14. I'm 26years plus 7months. I've been designing website since the past 3 years and I'm very much interested into it. It became one of my most favorite hobbies. Age doesn't really matter. I'm amazed at those below 15 also are doing well....
  15. I came to know Xisto through http://www.clickherefree.com/. Sometime ago I was hosted by one of the free hosting sites (which I found from the same site review) but that site went offline for the reason they couldn't explain to the members. I hope I'll be able to follow the rules and regulations well here and enjoy the benefits too.
