McAfee Finds Lots Of World Cup Related Spyware As the world cup season draws to an end, many of us may have downloaded ample amounts of World Cup merchandise from the internet to show our support for our home nation. Some of us may've downloded themes for our computer which probably consisted a few wallpapers or even screensavers. Nothing wrong with that? Security firm McAffeeŽ says differently. It google searched, "world cup screensaver" followed by 736 popular footballers and recorded for each player how many dangerous sites came up when you typed that player's name in. Then they averaged each football team's results and ranked the countries' dangerousness. The company found however much more dangerous results for those who search for "screensavers" followed by a player's name. The first-page results for Lama from Angola gave a 45.5% chance of landing on a risky site. David Beckham only has a 30.0% chance. Overall, the company discovered that by searching any players' name followed by "screensaver" leaves you with a 10.43% chance of stumbling upon a risky site. As more information about the World Cup unveils and discloses itself, I will update this guide just for you. This is your comprehensive guide. Therefore if there is anything you would like to know, just PM me or reply and I will scour the web to see if I can find any information about it. Hopefully so far this guide already consists of a large amount of both common and uncommon knowledge for the beginner and more experienced fan. This guide is automatically property of Xisto.com and may only lawfully be plagiarised with either mine or Xisto staffs' permission. It may, however, be copied with due acknowledgements. An Outline Of The World Cup A World Cup is usually a general term for any sport being competed across the globe but in this sense the World Cup refers to the football tournament currently being played accross the world. As well as the World Cup, this tournament also has the following nicknames: Football World Cup Soccer World Cup The World Cup was started in 1930 by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) and has carried on every four years since that date, apart from the years 1942 and 1946 when World War II was taking place. Although it is said that the World Cup is held every four years, it is somewhat ongoing as the qualifying matches take place three years before the final rounds. After the qualifying rounds the "World Cup Finals" are played. This involves 32 teams playing in the host-country, which this year (2006) is Germany. The finals last for not much less/more than one month. The first matches are called the "Group Stages". The thirty-two teams are divided evenly into eight groups and in individual groups each team has the ability to play each other team in his group. Points are calculated based on how many wins/losses/draws each team had. The team with the top two number of points qualify for the second round. In the group stages 50% of all the teams that qualified get knocked out. In the second round and therefrom all the matches are knockouts, whereby two teams play each other and the loser gets knocked out of the competition. The winner goes through to the quarter final and then on to the semi-final if he wins that match etc etc. However if you lose the semi-final match, you get placed - with the other loser - to the 3rd place match, where it is decided which team comes third/fourth. In the event of a draw in one of these matches, the play goes into "Extra Time" where two short 15 minute halves are played in the hope that a goal will be scorec by one of the teams. If there is no goal scored then there are penalties where the team who scores the most penalities out of five goes through to the next round. Germany Info This year (2006) Germany are the host nations for the world cup. Within that country, twelve venues have been selected: Berlin - Olympiastadion - 74,176 Dortmund - FIFA World Cup Stadium, Dortmund - 67,000 Frankfurt - FIFA World Cup Stadium, Frankfurt - 48,132 Gelsenkirchen - FIFA World Cup Stadium, Gelsenkirchen - 53,804 Hamburg - FIFA World Cup Stadium, Hamburg - 51,055 Hanover aka Hannover - FIFA World Cup Stadium, Hanover - 44,652 Kaiserslautern - Fritz-Walter-Stadion - 43,450 Cologne aka Köln - FIFA World Cup Stadium, Cologne - 46,120 Leipzig - Zentralstadion - 44,199 Munich aka München - FIFA World Cup Stadium, Munich - 66,016 Nuremberg aka Nürnberg - Frankenstadion - 41,926 Stuttgart - Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion - 54,267 Key: ???? City Name - FIFA Stadium Name - Capacity Most of the above stadiums have been renamed by FIFA, ie the ones with FIFA's name in them. For instance FIFA World Cup Stadium, Hamburg was originally called the AOL Arena. It's obvious therefore that they have been renamed to remove advertising. Germany have hosted the "World Cup" before. The only year they have hosted is before is 1974 when they were called "West Germany" and they won the cup for the second year. Previous Hosts Germany have not always been the hosts for the "World Cup." Many other countries have had the opportunity including England. The 17 past hosts are as follows: 1930 - Uruguay 1934 - Italy 1938 - France 1942 - CANCELLED DUE TO WW2 1946 - CANCELLED DUE TO WW2 1950 - Brazil 1954 - Switzerland 1958 - Sweden 1962 - Chile 1966 - England 1970 - Mexico 1974 - West Germany - Now Germany 1978 - Argentina 1982 - Spain 1986 - Mexico 1990 - Italy 1994 - USA 1998 - France 2002 - South Korea & Japan Key: ???? Year - Host Country - Current Name Of Country (if changed) Through the course of the "World Cup" there have been a significant list of teams who have only won due to the fact that they are playing on their own turf. Such countries include: Argentina - 1978 - (1) England - 1966 - (0) France - 1998 - (0) Germany - 1974 - (2) Italy - 1934 - (2) Uruguay - 1930 - (1) Key: ???? Country - Years Won On Home Soil - Times Won Away Brazil, however are not only the ones who have won the "World Cup" the most times but every time they won it was in another country. Kudos to Brazil. Future Hosts FIFA doesn't decide many of the hosts of the "World Cup" in the future until it's neccessary, so at the moment I can only tell you the host for 2010 which is South Africa. All in all five countries wanted to hold the tournament. They were: Egypt Libya Morocco South Africa (winners) Tunisia Only just yesterday (7th July 2006), FIFA unveiled the official logo for this event. Here it is: There have been a couple of countries that have expressed an interest in the 2014 "World Cup". They are: Argentina/Chile Australia Brazil United States Brazil are by far the favourites to win the bid and the US have been interested in hosting this event since the year 2002, ever since their surprise win at the 1994 event. It was a shock because the US lacked a significant football (soccer) fan-base. England is interested in hosting the 2018 "World Cup". Bidding for this slot will close in 2010. Scores One of the advantages of belating this article is that the scores can be included . Here are all of them, right from the group stages to the final: Group Stages ???? GROUP A ???? GROUP B ???? Media And with all the festivities and celebrations the media have a fantastic opportunity to cash in and make money. There have been a number of "World Cup" official songs. Recent ones for England are as follows: 2006 - EMBRACE :: The World At Your Feet 2002 - ANT AND DEC :: We're On The Ball 1998 - ECHO AND THE BUNNYMAN, SPICE GIRLS + OTHERS :: How Does It Feel To Be? 1978 - ANDY CAMERON :: Ally's Tartan Army 1970 - Back Home Key: [tab] Year Officiated - ARTIST :: Song name I can't find many more. Please bare in mind that these are the official songs and that some unofficial songs have taken over. For instance the song Vindaloo by Fat Les overshadowed the 1998 official World Cup song by far. If you know any other official songs from other countries or from England, PM me or reply and I'll add them. Screensavers The web has also been a hotspot for free world cup merchandise. Many sites notorious for their spyware and malware products (ie funwebproducts.com ) have released products with substantial amounts of malicious software in them. Trap17 Flashback trap17 in past few years
electriic ink replied to MusicOnly's topic in Websites and Web Designing
The Xisto just used to be a website. Then Opa introduced a forum with webhosting as an addon and it became so popular that the trap became a dedicated free hosting site - or something like that. Xisto looked so different back them. If anybody knows, what was a slambook (scroll down to bottom)? -
IE7 certainly looks to be coming along. Look at this for small interface: Maybe I'll download it but the only thing that pulls me back are my 33 extensions and the fact that half of everything new in IE7 has been "borrowed" from its competitors. Firefox 1.6 will probably have something magically cool that will find its way onto Microsoft Windows IE7. Who cares anyway? It's only a browser...

A Few Things phpbb question as well as .zip question

After searching google, I found this code] creates a zip file and prepares it for download. It you tweak it a bit I'm sure you can make it so that it stores the file and doesn't prepare it for download: if(ini_get('zlib.output_compression')) { ini_set('zlib.output_compression', 'Off'); } // Security checks if( $archiveName == "" ) { echo "<html><title>Public Photo Directory - Download </title><body><BR><B>ERROR linenums:0'><?php/** * Class to dynamically create a zip file (archive) * * @author Rochak Chauhan */class createZip { public $compressedData = array(); public $centralDirectory = array(); // central directory public $endOfCentralDirectory = "\x50\x4b\x05\x06\x00\x00\x00\x00"; //end of Central directory record public $oldOffset = 0; /** * Function to create the directory where the file(s) will be unzipped * * @param $directoryName string * */ public function addDirectory($directoryName) { $directoryName = str_replace("\\", "/", $directoryName); $feedArrayRow = "\x50\x4b\x03\x04"; $feedArrayRow .= "\x0a\x00"; $feedArrayRow .= "\x00\x00"; $feedArrayRow .= "\x00\x00"; $feedArrayRow .= "\x00\x00\x00\x00"; $feedArrayRow .= pack("V",0); $feedArrayRow .= pack("V",0); $feedArrayRow .= pack("V",0); $feedArrayRow .= pack("v", strlen($directoryName) ); $feedArrayRow .= pack("v", 0 ); $feedArrayRow .= $directoryName; $feedArrayRow .= pack("V",0); $feedArrayRow .= pack("V",0); $feedArrayRow .= pack("V",0); $this -> compressedData[] = $feedArrayRow; $newOffset = strlen(implode("", $this->compressedData)); $addCentralRecord = "\x50\x4b\x01\x02"; $addCentralRecord .="\x00\x00"; $addCentralRecord .="\x0a\x00"; $addCentralRecord .="\x00\x00"; $addCentralRecord .="\x00\x00"; $addCentralRecord .="\x00\x00\x00\x00"; $addCentralRecord .= pack("V",0); $addCentralRecord .= pack("V",0); $addCentralRecord .= pack("V",0); $addCentralRecord .= pack("v", strlen($directoryName) ); $addCentralRecord .= pack("v", 0 ); $addCentralRecord .= pack("v", 0 ); $addCentralRecord .= pack("v", 0 ); $addCentralRecord .= pack("v", 0 ); $ext = "\x00\x00\x10\x00"; $ext = "\xff\xff\xff\xff"; $addCentralRecord .= pack("V", 16 ); $addCentralRecord .= pack("V", $this -> oldOffset ); $this -> oldOffset = $newOffset; $addCentralRecord .= $directoryName; $this -> centralDirectory[] = $addCentralRecord; } /** * Function to add file(s) to the specified directory in the archive * * @param $directoryName string * */ public function addFile($data, $directoryName) { $directoryName = str_replace("\\", "/", $directoryName); $feedArrayRow = "\x50\x4b\x03\x04"; $feedArrayRow .= "\x14\x00"; $feedArrayRow .= "\x00\x00"; $feedArrayRow .= "\x08\x00"; $feedArrayRow .= "\x00\x00\x00\x00"; $uncompressedLength = strlen($data); $compression = crc32($data); $gzCompressedData = gzcompress($data); $gzCompressedData = substr( substr($gzCompressedData, 0, strlen($gzCompressedData) - 4), 2); $compressedLength = strlen($gzCompressedData); $feedArrayRow .= pack("V",$compression); $feedArrayRow .= pack("V",$compressedLength); $feedArrayRow .= pack("V",$uncompressedLength); $feedArrayRow .= pack("v", strlen($directoryName) ); $feedArrayRow .= pack("v", 0 ); $feedArrayRow .= $directoryName; $feedArrayRow .= $gzCompressedData; $feedArrayRow .= pack("V",$compression); $feedArrayRow .= pack("V",$compressedLength); $feedArrayRow .= pack("V",$uncompressedLength); $this -> compressedData[] = $feedArrayRow; $newOffset = strlen(implode("", $this->compressedData)); $addCentralRecord = "\x50\x4b\x01\x02"; $addCentralRecord .="\x00\x00"; $addCentralRecord .="\x14\x00"; $addCentralRecord .="\x00\x00"; $addCentralRecord .="\x08\x00"; $addCentralRecord .="\x00\x00\x00\x00"; $addCentralRecord .= pack("V",$compression); $addCentralRecord .= pack("V",$compressedLength); $addCentralRecord .= pack("V",$uncompressedLength); $addCentralRecord .= pack("v", strlen($directoryName) ); $addCentralRecord .= pack("v", 0 ); $addCentralRecord .= pack("v", 0 ); $addCentralRecord .= pack("v", 0 ); $addCentralRecord .= pack("v", 0 ); $addCentralRecord .= pack("V", 32 ); $addCentralRecord .= pack("V", $this -> oldOffset ); $this -> oldOffset = $newOffset; $addCentralRecord .= $directoryName; $this -> centralDirectory[] = $addCentralRecord; } /** * Fucntion to return the zip file * * @return zipfile (archive) */ public function getZippedfile() { $data = implode("", $this -> compressedData); $controlDirectory = implode("", $this -> centralDirectory); return $data. $controlDirectory. $this -> endOfCentralDirectory. pack("v", sizeof($this -> centralDirectory)). pack("v", sizeof($this -> centralDirectory)). pack("V", strlen($controlDirectory)). pack("V", strlen($data)). Website You got to check this out
electriic ink replied to Brandon Smith's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Your website looks nice and I really like the template overall. It has a lot of potential, by which I mean the shoutbox and the polls could be placed in different areas to make the site really accessible for your readers; as well as a few other minor things. The shoutbox and the poll would look a lot better if they were placed along the left and right hand side of the page and if they matched the colour scheme of your site. For instance the shoutbox is blue. None of the other features on your site are blue so perhaps it could have a green/black look to it which you could easily do using CSS (if freewebs let you do that). Also, the shoutbox is just there on it's own with a massive black gap to the right of it. That may be an ideal place to put the poll, a small introduction to the game or a Regsiter Now! box. However, regardless of how you decide to format or customise in the shoutbox, you should definately decrease the size of it because it's taking up a large amount of screen height. With that, the ads and the header you can't see any useful content once the page has loaded so you end up scrolling frantically down just to read anything. Thirdly, you only have one navigation item which you could improve upon. You have a shoutbox, a forum, polls which you could all put on the navigation bar. The site immediately looks bare and empty with just the one item there. Additionally, you could divide your homepage up and create many new pages out of that. The homepage looks long and who likes reading extensively in today's busy world? Finally, another petty thing is that you have 10 digits on your hits bar at the bottom. A site's got to stay around a long time before it gets a billion hits. Maybe it would be better to take off a few of the zeros in front so it looks you have more hits than you really do. Which looks more on first glimse? ????[/tab]????????????1298 hits ???? OR.... ????????????[tab]0000001298 hits -
Microsoft have decided to come up with a new image format to add to the common JPGs, GIFs and PNGs of today. It is to be called Windows Media Photo format or WMP for short. It is said to "Surpass the limitations of existing file formats" and here is what it'll offer: Numerous colour formats for printing and displaying High-quality lossy or even lossless compression Really efficient decoding for numerous resolutions ????[/tab][tab]For more features, visit https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg463400.aspx Presumeably, the JPEG2000 format or JP2 was designed as an update for the now popular JPEG format but it didn't succeed. But maybe if WMPs become an important part of Windows Vista, the format may become popular. [hr=shade] More Information: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg463400.aspx [/hr]

Php And Disabling Html Tags how can i do this?
electriic ink replied to shadowx's topic in Programming
The topics aren't stored as html pages but in databases as rvalkass mentioned. The links to html pages that you see on the D2-Latest Topics Mod at the bottom and everywhere else are all virtual and are formed, somehow, using apache. To prove that they aren't proper pages but virtual, visit the URL below: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/37546-php-and-disabling-html-tags-how-can-i-do-this/ [hr=shade].[/hr] As for trying to stop people utilising html, try this code: <? $post = str_replace ('<', '<', $post); $post = str_replace ('>', '>', $post); ?> And for making new lines in the textbox turn into <br /> <? $post = nl2br ($post); ?> To make it so that the break tag appears in HTML format rather than XHTML format, add the following code afterwards: <? $post = str_replace ('<br />', '<br>', $post); ?> $post being whatever the variable containing the post's data is and < and > are the ASCII codes for < and > so they won't render as html. -
The site looks very well done and professional ... except from the beginning. There isn't any point in my opinion of having the Loading.. sign. I can see it's loading by looking at the progress meter in the status bar. All it does is degrade the quality and professionality of your site. As well as that it increases load times and makes your site unusable until it's fully loaded. It's especially annoying on dial-up. But as you said, you'll removed that so that's good And unfortunately I can't review any more because of temporary Gateway Timeout errors....

In order to have a last edited date on your footer page, you need to ensure that php is running through it (by renaming the file from XXX.html to XXX.php). Then add the following: $timestamp = filectime($filename); echo '<p>Page Last Updated ' . date ('l jS F Y (G linenums:0'><?php $filename = 'index.php'; $timestamp = filectime($filename);echo '<p>Page Last Updated ' . date ('l jS F Y (G:i:s)', $timestamp) . '</p>'; ?> It will produce something like: ????[/tab][tab]Page Last Updated Saturday 20th May 2006 (13:33:47) You can edit the format of the date by changing the part in blue to the letters you want shown at http://de2.php.net/manual/de/function.date.php As for the shoutbox, there are many free available online such as my shoutbox or alternatively you can create your own using the tutorial from Xisto: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/83999-create-your-own-shout-box-all-you-need-is-just-php/

Well apparently, after some researching, there are a bunch of these domains out there. To name a few: Suchmaschine Optimierung Partner Upgrade My Wife Sex TGP Note however that all these websites belong to the same ip address (72.14.207.99) and therefore it's probably just a single server ripping google. Attempts like these are usually to achieve page rank 10. Another possibility could be that google themselves bought the IP address so it could expand. Now seeing as no-one the domain is active but nobody is paying for the hosting, there's a gap and google had just happened to have grown into the free space.

3d44.com - A Google Twin? Recently I had just discovered 3d44.com, a seemingly exact clone of the popular search engine google. Many clones of the site, have a reasoning behind them. Take for instance 466453.com: If you look at the buttons on the keypad below: The numbers clearly make up the letters G - O - O - G - L - E. But with 3d44.com you can a combination of: C C C -OR D D D -OR E E E ????[/tab] PLUS.... C -OR D -OR E [tab] PLUS.... C -OR D -OR E Which clearly doesn't resemble google. So where does the mysterious masquerader come from? I don't know and there is absolutely no mention of it on google.com.

Apple Patents Music That Play According To Your Mood
electriic ink replied to amir691's topic in Science and Technology
The music track speeds up and down based on your mood? So that means that every so often it will sound like the singer's on helium and the other time really weird because the music will be played at 30% of the correct speed. Why would you want that? Another expensive yet pointless gizmo for everyone to buy and review in my opinion. But nonetheless if it does actually work then in could be what everybody uses ten years from now. Anyways I found the orginal article. It's here: http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=32008 [hr=shade].[/hr] EDIT: Doesn't the orginal article state that the music is programmed to adjust your mood, not that your mood controls the music. But you state: Which one is it? [hr=shade].[/hr] Well if it's the former one, not the latter then it will still be interesting to buy. It could well become a standard feature of the iPod. It seems more useful and it could help lots of people calm down on a very stressful day as well as a load of other good. May buy it myself in a couple of years time if it comes out by then. But does such an idea need to be patented? -
Little Question About Giving Credits
electriic ink replied to kylelnsn's topic in Web Hosting Support
Just a note if some of you are wondering about why you need to have 30 credits in order to start transferring. Well the reason is that credits are easier to acquire when you first register your account than when you have 10 or 30 and apply for hosting. With that in mind, as you can imagine, if there was no limit people would exploit this and register multiple accounts and obtain 5 or 10 credits on each and then when they have enough for hosting transfer all the credits to the master account and apply from there. The small 3% transfer fee is there to further discourage activities such as this. -
It could be the Trojan/Legmir-E. Information on removal can be found at the link below: https://www.sophos.com/en-us/search-results.aspx?search=trojlegmire&refine=7edf01e4de3c4c8791a56ba6ce685d09

The shoutbox works and it looks like everything's hosted on your site. (I'm "HHH" with the message "*__*" btw) so there's doesn't seem to be anything wrong from Xisto's side as it all works for me. Are you sure it's not your problem or many it was just a temporary downage.

Little Question About Giving Credits
electriic ink replied to kylelnsn's topic in Web Hosting Support
How many credits do you need to give away? As many as you and the person resolving your request feels is necessary for the job. Usually 5 to 10 is considered sufficient as you say. Remember however that a 3% commission fee will be taken off every 0.01 credits you transact. IE: In order to give the consumer 5 credits, you will need to send 5 x 103% credits or 5.15 -
What's wrong with table layouts? Some of the most popular sites use them, bbc, miniclip and all IPB-based forums. They can also be a great way to start designa successful layout: <!XHTML DOCTYPE AND WHATNOT> <html> <head> <title> Test Page </title> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-5"> </head> <body> <table align="center> <tr> <td> <img src="myheader.png" alt="Welcome To Test Page" /> </td> </tr> </table> <table> <tr> <td> <h2> Navigation </h2> <br> <br> <ul> <li> Home </li> <!-- Not to sure how to form <li> with xhtml. Is it <li /> TEXT or <li> TEXT </li>? --> <li> Games </li> <li> Bla </li> </ul> </td> <td> <h2> Content </h2> Lorem ipsum id est..... </td> </tr> </table> </body> </html> That code will produce the basis for a site with the navigation down the left hand side. If you add some small-sized images as backgrounds and as the header, you'll site will look nice and be quick-loading. As navigation is on the left hand side, you can have an infinite number of listings without producing annoying horizontal scrollbars. If you want you could just use premade templates from sites like css beauty.

Yeah, this is an example of the crap that's on the the Earth at the moment. I mean really, do you really think that the world will end because it's the 6th of June 06 on the Christian Calendar? Conversations like these are designed to scare five-year olds on April Fool's Day.... -
I used to use this tool. It's called Web Page Maker. It's not free but you download a trial copy of it for nothing and then pay the full $50 (Ł26) later on. I don't know any books however. I've found that if you google enough times you can find all the html/css you'll ever need to know online. Finally, please don't sign your name on the end of your posts.

I'm not very good with thinking up of good names but here are a few Invisionate Invision Thinking Forumise It's a nice idea but did you say that your site will install invision power board on the client's site, ie requiring them to give you their password so you can log-onto their cPanel and install invision for them? That will require a great deal a trust from the client and I'm not sure people will be happy giving a stranger their info. I also suggest that maybe you should expand the site so that you can use it to install any forum. Rating: 7/10 - Privacy wise people will be much happier having their forum hosting on someone elses server.
