After wait of more than 2 months RC2 is publicly released. I just received the email; from simplemachines forum. So i decided to share this with other SMF users in Xisto.I think most of the subscribers have got the email. I'm not charter member or any other contributing member in SMF forum so i got the public notification about this theme. But i heard that 2.0 charter release was made in last month. Maybe in September perhaps. Now that it is released i can make up a design mockup for new theme. I'm gonna buy new theme as soon as SMF 2.0 final hits the internet. So asking other SMF users, what are your plans ? Going to modify your forums ?

3-4 hours is too much time. Even WinME, Vista don't take that much time. And in my opinion it's always better to fresh install than upgrading. There remains many remain-ants of old OS when upgrade is done. I'm not aware how win7 behaves after upgrade. I'm planning for fresh install instead of upgrade.

Ads are important to survive on web. Almost all of the services which gives free services survive either by CPM ads or CPC ads from google. Without ads hardly people will manage hosting and domain costs. People have habit of complaining about ads, even if they get free services. I can understand the issue with flash ads and pop-up ads but leaving such ads aside rest of the ads are necessary for site to survive from commission. Even site like google survive on such ads.Now coming to google. Almost 90% or more revenue of google is based on ads and ad based services. If this is removed then google will be out of market in no time. Only income sources that will remain for them is google apps, app engine and some other commercial programs but those will not help google to survive.

I think you can ask for help from this guy. He's good at overclocking and will definitely guide you for that. Other than that you can ask for help at forums like tom's hardware & OC forums. You'll likely to get immediate help in such forums. I hope this helps, i know other forums as well but i think these two will solve your problem.

Both databases are different yet accepts same standard sql syntax. Only thing that is different about sqlite is that it is lightweight,flat file based database. Read more about SQLite here. MySQL is more of server and it is more suitable for scalable applications. Performance of mySQL in enterprise & scalable application is more and reliable than SQLite. SQLite is more suitable for desktop applications. SQLite is most of time used for graphical programs, desktop apps, app that wants to store and ship embedded database. If you're looking for SQLite as embedded database or portable database then you should check out HSQLdb, H2, Apache derby. If you like SQLite then you'll find these databases useful as well.

JL, notes as in ? You mean plugin like evernote ? Evernote is note taking application and similar to google notebook but with more features. It has free account feature as well. There is also quicknotes addon, if you want to take a look at that. Two others i found from google searches are diigo and internote. In my opinion, evernote is much better add-on and it's great way to organize notes as well. So i suggest you to check that out.

First thing is nobody can promise you about shortest time. But yes, you can start anyway. 1) Download XAMPP/Wamp server and properly install it. 2) Get a good books on PHP. 3) Or try some online PHP tutorials. They're faster than books. 4) Do experiment on your own. 5) Learn from other's code. Check sites like snipplr or google code search. 6) Pick dummy project and do it in PHP. These are some steps in my opinion to get you started with PHP. I hope these are some shortest and fasted but it depends how you look at them. Others will suggest you as well, wait for their comment. And unless you come up with problem nobody can post or help you with code. Nobody starts from full code directly.

If you're into anime/manga and cartoons then you should take a look at respective sites on google. Also forum usernames can be a good place to know about some cool domain names. You can check cartoonists sites like darkmotion,blender and list goes on. You'll get plenty of ideas from it and after getting list of names, cut down to something that you life. Else people will criticize almost any name. So choose from tons of names then sort them out as per availability and then decide what you like on your site. Japanese anime/manga names for animals,art can be source for good website name.

You can say opera and chrome are rival browsers. Many features from firefox are now going to be available on opera and chrome. Firebug was only available for firefox but now it will be there with some another name on opera. And same with chrome, they'll add many features like opera & firefox soon. Besides that chrome is going to be a OS frontend as per developer beta screenshots.Opera is commercial interest company while firefox is open source/collabrative company. So that way even opera gets to top, mozzila will not run for money. It'll survive in one way or the other.

Wish i could do that with my memories. I want to erase a large portion of memories as they have no use to me. Maybe some lesson or two but i don't want the remaining data associated with it.I have so many memories that i want to erase but more i hate them stronger they remain on my brain. Our mind is like magnet in this case it attracts top priority level for good and bad things so if we hate something extremely. Then it will remain in mind for quite some time. I don't know if you've one through works of danniel dannet and steven pinker but read them if you want to know human mind and human behavior.

I don't have the win7 with right now. But when i get it how to enable it ? I mean how to enable the classic theme. Assume i have same version like you, how will you tell me to enable classic theme for win7? Let me know.

I'm not english but i'm familiar with the word usage. I know there are many ways on with which bloggers are using it. I said not to use that in view that if you plan to go with professional way in blog/site then such words don't look good with blog/site. Ofcourse, this is long term thinking and may not be right or right at this place.

Junkie is not good for technology related site and blog. Though it's all about content when it comes to site but i think sometimes name matters as well. Some name are more famous not because of content but because of their name. So unless you've plan or somthing don't use "junk" name.

Let me tell you scenario in my country. If the earning of person is under 1,90,000/- per year then if that person creates company or sells services or anything doesn't requires registration unless the investment and profit goes above this level. If it goes above this by even 1 bucks then that person needs to open registration and other tax things. Also if you are renting space and starting business then even if your earning is below the tax-free amount then you'll still be charged for taxes from localized taxes. This is how stuff works for company startup in my country. So most of time companies in india if totally created using internet services then they save a lot of money. Unless they spread their wings too wide they're not even required to register for copyright and tax/localized taxes etc.

Hannah, yahoo and google have their own datacenters. And by datacenter you can see it carries twenty times computers/servers compared to xisto. If you want to check such world class datacenters then check out softlayer site. You're underestimating yahoo and google. To tell you that datacenter like simplenet is owned by yahoo, this explains what their server capability is.

Not only this movie but there are many other movies like "lighthouse" and one is on bird is released. I think it is featured on blenders showcase page. I can see the potential in this software but those who work alone needs more info that what more softwares need to be used with blender in order to design a movie or simple presentation.

I'm in process of learning visual basic .NET. And i have installed sharpdevelop on my computer. Unfortunately i can't install VB.net express edition as i'am not allowed on my computer. So sharpdevelop is the only tool for me.With MSDN & some of the tutorials on the net are more focused towards visual studio interface and usage, many times i feel lost with the path of learning languge. Now don't suggest me google searches and all, as i have done that before making this thread here. I need more of tutorials written for command line programs for VB and GUI as well it's just that it should be more generalized instead of focusing on visual studio.Any suggestion for website & tutorials ? (Please remember that i have sharpdevelop and not Visual studio express).

Yes, blender is good software and it is free available for windows, macintosh and linux. There are many other freewares available as well. Alice3D is one to look for. Maya is perfect software for 3D but it is paid and learning curve is steep.

But if i'm not wrong windows classic look is removed from Win7. Am i right about this ? Can you check it if you've win7 running ? Let me know about it.

I don't remember how much i earned so far and how much got deducted and besides that i don't go with the counter by xisto so have to check billing area for how much earned in this period. But good to see mycents back in action. Now start posting question threads guys, it's about time writing big answer posts.

graphics.h is borland specific library. It is not at all standard library. So your search for standard library ends. You need to find 3rd party libraries. Some of the libraries you can use SDL and openGL. You can even check the libraries used by game developers for graphics. You can check this page for graphics library. You'll find some of the libraries used in game development might help you with graphical program development. But most of the time, you'll get your work done with either OpenGL or SDL library. Check google for opengl and sdl library tutorial. You'll get plenty of results. If you want to program platform specific graphics programs then MSDN is the place to ask for windows graphics program.

In that case it looks like more of battery management of OS is gone wild. Most likely battery management corrupted. Which OS you're using ? Vista or Win7 ? Just let me know, i'll try and dig if i find something about it.
