Parking And Selling Websites with SEDO?
mahesh2k replied to frozen.fish's topic in Online Advertising
SEDO is not bad choice for parking and there are some reward programs as well. I'm not sure about the ads and all but you can always add it to the page and see if it works on your domain name. Google punishes if the page has any redirect or pop-up or other malicious code else they have no issues with where the domain and site is parked. SEDO is reputable domain parking site. You can use it to earn from the parking you've done then you can sell it on their marketplace as well. -
Myspace's old version was for musicians and listeners. Musicians were used to get paid for each song people listen to. It was similar to mp3.com program but later they changed it into social network and from this is where it all started, then facebook came up with social network stuff. So in my opinion myspace used to be oldest social network along with mp3.com, not for all type of people but for music category atleast. One thing to note here is that facebook is not popular in europe, asia pacific there are some other social networks dominant over there.

When it comes to showing profile to public with username attached to domain name. both are hitting badly on privacy of people. Earlier facebook was private and profiles were not visible to search engines or were not attached to the domain name of facebook but now they are. still some people don't mind that and continue but let's see how long this privacy issue remains. Orkut is the only social network left that restricts people from viewing profile if they are not logged in.

Just wanted to update this thread about the currency exchange scams on internet. If you?re going to transfer your liberty reserve or alert pay cash in order to get bank check or western union then you need to know few things:-1. Unless the currency exchange person has reputation in some forum or system, better not exchange the money with him.2. Avoid currency exchange companies which are not certified with some escrow or have business for longer term.3. If any website is not having credibility and safety related instructions while transfer then avoid those companies.4. exchangezone.com is one site that offers safe exchange and if you follow rules as per their faq/ instruction then you can expect safe exchanges.5. there are some currencies strict pay, moneybookers, perfect money and stormpay which are not quite reliable and there is lot of hassle while transferring money ( as of 2010, not sure what will happen in future) so stick with alertpay, liberty reserve, paypal. 6. If the payment processors are not working for your country then you can use plimus, google checkout or 2checkout. (2checkout has lot of issues) or amazon WS money transfer.

CPALead based offers are quite cheating cause many times affiliate marketer offers something for free or gives free access to something but those offers are limited to some countries. and this is what happens with CPAlead most of time. If you take a look at the sites which are offering cpalead based offers are restricting their services to take offers of cpalead. For example, feedvault is the one which started to offer feed submission on that basis. But it didn't worked out that way and many people from around the world failed to get offers of CPALead and that way they got restricted to the services. And this is why i prefer not to have CPAlead offers.

Lol, i wonder how many fake processors shipped to branded desktop makers. hmm, like dell, HP and so on. If they get something like this then how come they'll manage it ? Newegg is reputed company when it comes to selling wonder how they didn't see through the distributor who is selling them those things. Chances could be delivery people made some plan or distributor sent the defective pieces. by the way, is it just newegg or any other online vendor got hit with it ?

Paypal Allows Indian Users To Withdraw To Local Banks
mahesh2k replied to The Simpleton's topic in General Discussion
@Nitin I think you're unaware of the fact that paypal not only stopped the personal payments from india but from indonesia, philipines and some other asian countries because of this scamming. Besides there are still some people who are into scamming by asking for personal payments. Paypal not only enforced this to india but to many other asian countries. I think you missed the big point here or maybe you didn't tried to pay money via paypal during the ban period. Paypal stopped all indian personal and premium transactions on 1st feb and after huge queries and business loss they had to open premium transactions and payments within and from India. And now finally they opened for almost every transaction except personal payments. And yes taking middle man or escrow is the one way to protect any buyer or seller in online transactions. -
This thread is about avoiding some scammers if you’re working online either part time or full time. I’ll explain how you can protect yourself while selling or getting some freelance work or simply some selling of your stuff. Protecting from scammers while selling domains, sites and design etc stuff: Before you give any service like domain, site or design, content you need to find the escrow service that can help you solve the issue if any arises during the deal. escrow? There are many meanings of escrow term; i’ll stick with meaning that we’re dealing with here. Escrow person or company will be one who middle person is making sure that deal is transparent and there is no panic and cheating on either side. Escrow service takes fee from both side and they ensure success of the deal. Sites like flippa, elance and other freelancing or selling sites ask you to always communicate on channel they provide. So stick with that, if buyer or seller asks you to use MSN/Skype then avoid it and stick to channel that freelance or escrow site provides. Any deal you do outside this window will break you down and you’ll get into scam. It’s better to spend money on escrow and middleman taxes than getting scammed by those buyers. Of course if you’re selling illegal or unworthy product you’ll choose short and fast road and your chances of getting scammed are more. If you’re seller then make sure that you use escrow service, and only transfer site or service when get upfront payment or with acceptance of escrow agreement. 1. If you’re buyer then make sure that you get your service as per the deal. Don’t be jerk and ask for more than what you posted in requirements, if you want to add something more to service f*—g pay for it. And if the service provider, designer is not working as per your requirement then make sure you clear that to escrow service about this. Always keep the channel of escrow on your side as it saves many legal hassles. 2. Don’t go by the stars or testimonials of the service or person on the freelancing or selling/buying site. Any known person can misguide you and turn you down in way you can’t assume. Keep yourself open to any possibility and always demand for transparency. 3. Ask question to seller before you make purchase or have project requirement. More questions you get answered before the deal it’s better for you. 4. Never accept the offer of chatting or skype for the deal. Always go by the route of site where you’re making the deal. If the site is not offering escrow service then you need to pay for the service from outside, this costs a little but saves getting scammed. 5. Host your files on site which take fee from you for sale and that way you can protect yourself from those scam buyers. Protecting from PayPal scam:- 1. Don’t use PayPal as buy or purchase medium of digital item product. This is because many people will download your product and then ask for a refund which many times paypal gives back to buyer as it protect more buyers than sellers. 2. If your product costs more than 20$ then better to go for the shopping cart software like cc revenue or other payment gateway solutions. 3. Avoid 7-day or 30-day refund like sales pitch because this will backfire you than help you on sales. 4. If your product is downloaded and used as torrent seed/file share by warez person then make sure you make list of those people who refund you money and post your product on forums/torrent. Take the IP address from the file sharing network and then file abuse report to them also ask them to give details of the person who uploaded stuff to their network (rapid-share and mega-upload can give you with request) and by getting those details you can trace the person and then open issue in PayPal help and file abuse against that person to get your money back. 5. If your file from network is got hacked and used on warez then sorry, you’re out of luck with refunds. You can only get your revenge by taking their files down. Remember with IP address you can chase them to some extent for money but not always. 6. Don’t accept offer of personal payment or even give anyone personal payment. Let them pay some tax for paypal. Rules are rules why break for one and complain when someone breaks your rule? Protecting yourself from buyers/sellers in content sales: If you’re purchasing articles, PLR, blog posting, forum posting or commenting jobs then make sure you use medium where you deal is monitored. With posting of jobs in digital forum, SEO-chat etc. you can’t guarantee about the people who are doing jobs for you. When you buy article/plr stuff which is custom then make sure you input that content into copyscape or other duplicate content finder service that will allow you to check the stuff. If there is grammar or copy mistake then ask the seller to correct it. If not correct and content found to be scraper then report it to site about it. I’ve lot more to share and i’ve taken care of some general advice here and there are no outgoing links cause we can’t edit post here later so i want to make it general advice than advice related to some site.

It was started as intention of podcast but later it becomes 8 hour- 12 hours radio with some of my friends from different timezones broadcasting when they come online. In one week we achieved 7 full days of complete radio broadcast. That was fun, music jokes and making fun of group. Ah anyways that was about radio. If i plan to broadcast podcast this time, i'll radioblogtalk.com as that site is perfect for text chat and broadcast calls as well. -
Paypal Allows Indian Users To Withdraw To Local Banks

@Spyda I've gone through your post and i have to say your last statement was very offensive. I'm also from india, opaque(shri) owner of Xisto is also from india. Do you think we also deserve to get banned from paypal just because others are scamming ? We never scammed and though there are many indians who scam but is it right to ban whole country for this ? I hope you understand that india is the biggest technological solution provider and there are many services to-and-from india. Scams from india are actually 1% of what money goes-and-comes online from india. It is completely unfair to say that paypal should ban whole country for the scam of few people. Besides you got scammed because you didn't take help of escrow system. Escrow system helps prevents fraud while selling sites/domain etc. Are you unaware of that if you sell on flippa ? By the way, more than 30% top sellers on flippa are indians. So guess, who will get into loss if paypal is banned for india. Besides if you ask me personally, scamming from site flipping is more from Netherlands, china, indonesia as per the records of many site flipping networks. These people take advantage of escrow system not applied to their country and they easily get away with law as escrow and law there is very defensive for their citizens instead of international relations. To end this short post, i would like to tell you that i got scammed from my fellow countrymens while selling one theme and now last week again for article writing job. So scamming and losing money is part of online working. I found few techniques to deal with these type of people. I'll create thread to let you know how to deal with any type of transaction scams be the scammer from any country. -

Paypal Allows Indian Users To Withdraw To Local Banks
mahesh2k replied to The Simpleton's topic in General Discussion
I think you're unaware of cases of people who download stuff using paypal and ask for refund then paypal issues fund back to them and buyer is losing his product to some warez person. To verify this you can contact 100+ sellers from warrior forum who got cheated like this. Another case, many script selling sites (clone script), freelancers who are not signing any contract, escrow are cheating their buyers. Paypal holds huge list of such people. One more famous case of cheating in india is virtual credit card scams, go to digital point or some hyip/ptp forums and you'll find ton of indian members selling VCC and credit card numbers of others. No. Earlier paypal used to offer personal payment in gift and personal cash option which used to be tax free. that includes charity, donation etc type of funds. And there was no exchange rate and tax for that. I got donation payment 100% without tax from one of theme showcase site. Nope. With 5$ or 10$ and above varying amount daily with personal payments and donation people used to cheat paypal and this is not just restricted to india but all other countries as well. There was no case of black money as paypal is very strict with transfers and documentation. And most of the countries where black money goes are either banned in paypal or not yet fully functional. -
Paypal Allows Indian Users To Withdraw To Local Banks
mahesh2k replied to The Simpleton's topic in General Discussion
Paypal closed personal payments for two reasons. First it's deal with indian reserve bank and second scam from india are rising and people are using personal payments for making free money transfer. This is the reason they're removing personal payments from asia. After india other countries will face the similar situation of removing personal payments.By removing personal payment options, we didn't lose much here as we have to pay taxes for the services we use. Besides that i don't feel any wrong in their actions now cause i have seen how people are cheating using personal payments. Good to see that they started issuing withdrawals to bank. Now we can do some business online. :-) I thought opaque will get this information first as he's doing much more transactions than us. Anyway, thanks for posting the_simpleton. -
What Is The Best Way To Make Money Online?
mahesh2k replied to GamerGlitch's topic in Business Forum
That is quite low pay you're getting for per week. odesk skype receptionist should get salary in terms of hours and 90$ per week is very low salary in my opinion. Maybe you should reconsider the pay or there are some other good jobs at elance and guru.com.I know odesk is one good site when it comes to earning from home or doing legitimate jobs but still i think you should reconsider the amount you get from working for per week that you mentioned. -
Google Vs Facebook different translation methods
mahesh2k replied to phpphp's topic in General Discussion
Hmm, buzz is going well with social media people and facebook is getting down with their privacy policies. Showing profiles to search engine results is something turned many people off and now they're planning to take down their facebook account. in comparison to google buzz which is only allowing buzz within group of email contacts. Buzz is more safer than facebook as you don't get your buzz into search results. and that saves a lot of headache. recently many bloggers, removed their friends from facebook and only kept few on their account. this is due to privacy issue of facebook. so i think if google makes any changes to privacy controls and shows it or lets any anonymous search for people then it'll be as useless as facebook in terms of privacy in social network. too early to say anything about facebook vs buzz. Translator on google is much better than translator apps on facebook. bablefish app is there on FB, don't know how many people use it for that. -
Have to agree on the point of NOD32 being light and bit less on heuristics in comparison to other AV. But it does good job of detecting malware and rootkits. And it's worth it if you're going to pay for the anti-virus. Kaspersky AV is good but i found a bit resource hungry and annoying with those messages even after disabling in settings. So if going for paid then NOD32 is good and if you want to go with free software then komodo AV is good software.

I've multiple connections from ISP for use for family and work. I prefer unlimited data transfer plans instead of data usage plans. I don't mind 512mb connection with unlimited plans instead of those 2 MB with limited data bandwidth plans. more data transfer the better, speed hardly matters then. we pay here 10$ for 128kbps for unlimited data transfer. while more unlimited data plans start from 20$ onwards. 2mB plan is cheap but with limited bandwidth data account.

Well Oscommerce and Agora shopping cart have enough features for security and transactions. We can also connect with payment gateway solutions. They also have installation script inside cpanel that comes with your hosting package. I think oscommerce is perfect for your needs and you can even integrate it with any solution provider you want. If directpay or sagepay are your solution providers then they can allow you to integrate with oscommerce.

If you want to put adsense or related contextual ad program then make sure you have lot of content on your site. content brings visitors and visitors brings cash. with adsense your visitors needs to click on them and those links need to be legitimate and not to game the system to earn money for you. If clicks are genuine then you'll earn some cash else you'll not. each click is verified and then credited to you. You can use project wonderful as alternative to adsense but you need to have targeted trafic in order to get advertisers for small amount of time. more the content and targeted visitors the better you'll earn. advertisers are there for both small and big publishers, you can choose either adsnese or kontera, infolinks, project wonderful, cmfads etc. Proejct wonderful and cmfads are less annoying and safe and you can earn small trickly each day with those ads. if there are none ads on your blog or site then i suggest using project wonderful or cmfads ads cause it's better to have them then having no ads. If you've more questions or doubts then fire up, some one from this forum will post answer to it for sure.

Are Keywords Really Higher Valued When On Top Of Page?
mahesh2k replied to Faceless Guy's topic in Search Engines
@k_nitin_r: I've to agree with you on that data entry for captcha cracking stuff. Sites like pixprofit and some russian sites are into this business giving asians these jobs. I asked about this to some of the professionals in searchenginewatch site. their view is that why google should take notice of what is inside the URL shortner ? Besides other than crawling, their time for finding out what URL is behind the shortner is totally wasted so there is not a slight chance of those short URL's taking into consideration. Analytics is another part and weighing them is another. Do you know there are some URL shortner business running around ? like adf.ly, ad.ly , linkbee etc. If google or any search engines starts to notice the links behind the shortner and starts to weigh them then those shortner service will be in boom for SEO. So it's quite easy to see that linkjuice is diluted while using URL shortner. URL shortners are ignored by SE's. -
I'm using NOD32 and it is working quite fine here on my computer. atleast it is not Norton to hog all of the resources and leaving no room for work. internet security of nod32 is also nice package. just wish they had good malware and spyware with them.

Are Keywords Really Higher Valued When On Top Of Page?
mahesh2k replied to Faceless Guy's topic in Search Engines
People create more than 100 or more backlinks and still are not getting sufficient results from google. Gaming google on backlinks was easy during 2007-2009 . but last algorithm update slapped badly to link marketers. So creating too many backlinks are not at all going to benefit. Link from higher PR site without spamming will be counted irrespective of dofollow or nofollow tag. Nofollow-tag's view was not very much clear by matt cutts but it's obvious that he'll not reveal much on videos or blog. relevant links and avoiding linking to spam site or spam link farms is way to get better results. Competitors black hat technique can be avoided as google understands them but we have control on what we link from our site so if we link to any spam or linkfarms then sure google will punish for sure. So too many links from site are under observation from google to check and are regularly placed inside sandbox. Create new blog and have lots of outgoing link, and you'll have sandbox from google. traffic with or without google is different issue. backlinks from any site is not going to help, higher the PR in this case helps more than backlinks from PR0 site. any backlink is not going to help in 2010. this is the reason many linkexchange membership sites are at price 147$ or so (for example 1waylinks, which filters blog with content in order to give 1 way link of higher PR 7 and Above). Google is more strong noticing black hat techniques of taking competitor down so there is no punishment there. But point is any random backlink is not counted, these easy-backlinks-dropping days are no more with google. Social networks are adding nofollow tag, for example digg and reddit on their mainpage. so we're not benefiting from that. But for traffic social networks are worthy. Profile links even though dofollow will less be considered by google, little experiment with angela's backlink builder program which features more than 20 social media profiles can show that since December it's not working well with social media profile backlinks. Forum profiles or thread backlinks are much better than social media profiles as those are still weighted. Also one thing to note here is many social netork profiles are adding URL shortner to the links posted on their network (for example, say twitter nofollow+urlshortner) this totally leaves chances of indexing even a name or url of site. Link-exchanges are not going to die but higher PR linking is weighed more now and we can easily experiment with low PR and google's response and see the result. Try searching for "terry kyle's 60 days experiment", this shows how search engines(google and others) respond to high PR and High traffic site's linking. -
Are Keywords Really Higher Valued When On Top Of Page?
mahesh2k replied to Faceless Guy's topic in Search Engines
Yes that is with most of the search engines unless that search engine is meta search engine. Besides Search engines do weight H1/H2/H3 tags. You can read more about it here. Other than that bold and italics for keywords can work as well but just don't overdo that. That was game of yesterday, today it is not as powerful as it is used to be, you can still weigh higher if you've less links. It's just that google is trying to figure out how to sort out the content and how people read on web. copied content, excessive backlinks, irrelevant backlinks and machine traffic is easily sorted by google. they're clever at what they do, just they're not consistent with it.
