Well i don't know about others and their numbers with kontera. For me last one month is just fine, after so many useless months. i'm getting better numbers from kontera. last week especially earned me 2.7$. it's keyword game + lots of impressions. I'm using kontera on other revenue share blog sites as well, and that is what helping me add more number of impression and cents. Relying only on Xisto for impressions and clicks will get no money that is for sure and will take years for making 100$. Using it with it with other blogs(snipsly) and some other personal or site like that share kontera share will increase count slowly but much better than single source. I want Xisto to continue revenue share model. reason is affinity doesn't allow revenue share model same is the case with infolinks as of now. And we don't have to worry about opaque he's getting his cheques regularly, Xisto and asta is giving enough impression that kontera wants so all we have to do is worry about our revenue share. I prefer not to leave any earning source like that(i do think about it sometimes but i digress), putting all the efforts in ad-sense will hardly help. Even though kontera sucks if any site is having lot of impressions and giving me impression share then i'll not pass that at all,even if it's slow.

well i'm facing one more problem. i just removed wordpress and all the files. now "wp-content" is not getting deleted. whenver i delete it gets created once again. so i have no clue what i have to do in order to remove old folders. is it some sort of virus that creates "wp-content" over and over again ? i'm damn tired of checking settings of public_html and other folders to see if there is any hidden file that is doing something like that but there isn't any.

I'm not sure they mentioned it in their terms of service that they're not going to show money earned so far in stats. they've very retarded reason on their side about not showing stats after 6 month. they're not even like adsense to get busy with stats and mask it. they're just average online ad company. but they masked earning counter with really weird reason that makes me say that there is some problem with kontera.

well i have that folder already but there is no success when it comes to uploading files. new version wordpress have upload structure something like " uploads/year/month/" and we can set this or use upload directory directly. not sure if this works cause i tried this already. i'll try if it works, else will create support ticket this time.

One more i would like to mention here is Affinity which is better than kontera in many ways as it has more advertisers with it. I'm not sure how to get application approved with it. But if any small publisher gets application approved with it then let me know. I have not tried sending application for this site but will send it soon. By the way, if you're from US/UK then you can apply for the yahoo publisher network and MSN adcenter program as well. Other than that there was mention of plaxoads in other thread which i think is one more advertiser that allows adsense like contextual advertising on blog or website.

Some advertisers i have small success with is : chitika(10$ paypal payout), project wonderful, infolinks. Infolinks is like kontera but having less ads and keyword you can target. Perfect for new types of blogs. Adsense like mean you're thinking just about contextual ads ? in that case adonion and bidvertiser are two good option for you. I have list of advertiser with their types i'll digg it and check if that matches with adsense, will keep you updated.

Japanese cartoons are called as animes. If they're in paper format like comics then they're called as manga. not sure what koreans call anime or cartoon, most likely they have their own name for the word cartoon. i'll post if i found out anything about it.

We discussed this already in this thread. Your money with kontera is safe and they're calculating so there is nothing to worry about. You can still ask customer support and check how much you've earned so far. One of old trap members inquired about this and got reply from them. yes there is if you join twitter or any social network. there are different types of spammers. everyday some weight loss trainer from russia or india, US, canada joins me on twitter and send me loads of ads on @replies. Yes warrior forum is having load of scammers. they're selling some WSO for training like using wordpress, google analytics and google adwords for about 97$. some 10 page ebook reports that are just blog entries are sold for 7$. and there are no secrets in them but just word salad so be careful. and about digital point buyers, bl***y s***rs.. asking for 1.5$ for article of about 1000 words. wtf... the more you dig into those cheap black hat buyers more you'll be disappointed.

You can use the robots.txt generator for that. You can use " disallow" tag to prevent some folders from indexing. There some wordpress plugins if you wish to do that. But other CMS likely to have their own add-ons for editing or maintaing robots.txt file from within the CMS. To put it simply, It allows search engines robots to know which files to index and which to skip.

Seriously i think there needs to be upgrade for current forum version as suggested many times by sky- and ash. So that way there is likely to be a better upgraded ipb shoutbox as well. So this will solve some problems. i don;'t know why it is not being upgraded but i would like to know if we can atleast look into problem of pm and some other flood control issue. we can't go to PM area and can't view it as well. so this way we can't communicate with each other on forums. Let's hope admins/mods don't get angry if people start to create personal threads if their PM is disabled. who knows that could be the only option as of now. is there any spam control enabled for PM ? or its just broken ?

Fast reply is working for me. Profiles are also working fine here. Links from other profiles so far are working for me and there is no problem with that. Problem is with loading of Xisto sometimes. flood control sometimes jack up the forums when there is lot of traffic. I think this slows down sometime but usually i find flood control message atleast 2-3 times in hour. Also PM system is broken and i can't even get into viewing it. I do get popup when someone sends me PM but i can't reply or go to PM section. So there is something horribly wrong with the PM system. Any trap 17 admin have clue about PM ? it's broken for last few days.

More section are always better. Reducing to small section and being zen and minimalistic goes nowhere. I've covered some of the lessons i have got from online scamming. Lol. I don't want to repeat all over again for that, so maybe this thread will give you some good read for this topic. Also be aware of WSO and digital point forums scams, some warrior forum members often charge 67$ or sofor some instructional manual or material which is usually free for all on internet. also there are some short tricks sold for price of about 37$or higher. avoid those type of products and save yourself from scam.

Ah, some people here are claiming for increasing section some are claiming for reduction. hmm, one thing is that increasing is always better than reducing some forums. why ? many pages are indexed by SE and are getting some traffic for it. how you know that they're not good for traffic ? unless opaque finds any forum with no traffic i don't see any valid reason for deleting any forums. maybe you can stick with new threads or recent threads if you want to. I'm also finding hard time these days for posting some replies to topics as there are very few topics to discuss.

Microworkers, mylot.com have jobs open for some ad clickers who are asked to click on google ads in return of say 10 cents to 5 cents. this way there are some chances of getting account deleted. also in such cases job poster collects our ip address and that way when he gets banned he returns this data by posting whining email and asking google to lift ban. For some publisher such trick worked for some time and now google staff managed to learn these tricks as well. So they're suing all those accounts who are either clicking on their own or asking users/friends to click on ads. On point of chinese clicking on adsense, adword user still needs to pay and adsense user gets paid as well. Squido lenses on chinese topics or etc earns lot of revenue share and chinese clicks are still valid for google adsense. they didn't lifted their offices or user targetting as of yet. once they lift it then adwords user and adsense user can't benefit from chinese user clicks, besides if google leaves china then govt is going to block google anyway so no adsense will be displayed when page requests are made from china.

It'll be abused with multiple accounts and account hacking or simply begging for mycents. I'm sure there are many who dont even bother to beg for it. There will be more abuse than there are benefits. Adbrite and bidvertiser are like adsense are poor performers and they've bidders as warez and porn site so expect porn ads on family site and their filter is damn poor so don't expect much filtered ad from adbrite.Porject wonderful allows advertisers to show their ads on your site on hour or day basis and for traffic count. so for us/uk traffic you'll get paid higher. chitika only pays for canada/us traffic so europe traffic is useless. kontera is king of all advertising system and people take more than 2 years to earn 100$ from them. they even have high quality stat system that counts earning after 6 months of overall earning, it beats adsense by miles. Many Xisto members become rich with kontera ads (ok enough rant). adclickmedia shows 300x250 ads and 480x60 ads perfectly, rate are lower with cpm and cpc but you're down with adsense anyway so pick this one up. Infolinks is like kontera but pays much better than kontera nad earning is high for infolinks. it also has better ads that don't distract users. it takes time to load those ads but are fair to display on site anyway. widgetbucks is shopping ad network that shows product on your site and if any person clicks on it then you'll get paid if that product has high bid. avoid this is you can as ads are damn damn slow. there are many similar networks in this way but sucks your bandwidth and pay very low.Ebay affiliate network, another option if you're from uk and us. so sign up and place small ads on your forum. You'll get good earning with affiliate ads. If you don't get signed up and or approved to any of the above mentioned ad network then sign up for squidoo and give them your paypal and start writing articles. You'll get paid if they get higher traffic on your articles which are hosted on their site. This is sure way of earning recurring money.And for the love of cheryl cole, don't click on any ads of your own or someone else adsense or adnetwork account, you'll only get disappointed if you do that for any intention. @Anwii, as install is new and there is no data uploaded to wordpress. i don't need backup as of now. I was just testing few plugins with test post and stumbled onto this image uploading issue. can't revert back to old installation as 2.9.1 had some security issues.@truefusion, edited php.ini in the root and pointed upload directory path to tmp folder. But still it is giving me some trouble. found many other wordpress user having the same issue but few got it resolved somehow but i can't get it solved. i made a ticket to xisto, just in case if they can help with that.

You're misunderstanding. Google does return money back to advertisers. I opened adwords campaign for client and that allowed me to bid on keyword. I got few hits and google detected those as bad clicks and for that got my money back. If you want to experiment this you can add invitation code that google is sending to analytics users these days. so you can get that code and paste it payment settings and get over 50$ of adwords for free. try bidding on keywords in adwords and then see if anyone makes invalid click you'll get your money back.

I have installed wordpress 2.9.2 for one of my site and it is giving me error "missing a temporary folder". This error is related to some php.ini and default settings in wordpress. Before creating support ticket i thought it's worth to ask if anyone knows how to solve this error in wordpress. I tried a lot of google searching and tried to fix this issue with the procedure explained in the tutorials but it is not working. I don;t know if i have to contact Xisto - Support for this. So trying to get this solved here as of now.. Opaque just one suggestion, if you can use code similar to stackoverflow.com then you can create new community with Xisto. And i think that will be something differnet than Xisto. i think it will even fetch more traffic that Xisto as that script is based on Q/A. Many sites are using similar scripts, original script is costly (from 95$ to more) but there must be clone script of this,so do check it out.

I have to agree with anwii on fresh start as you had backup so need to worry about it now. You can remove the installation on old subdomain. Then you can remove the current failed installation. Once you do that start with fresh installation.
