Vanila is my latest favorite. There are some other forum softwares similar to vanila in functionality but i like vanila. It can be made to look like facebook and in fact it seriously looks good. I did tried to work with mybb and punbb. I found it a bit cluttered interface. I think fluxxbb is way better than punbb on that point. Mybb is cross between phpbb and smf. There are some other non-php forum softwares, yet to try them on xisto hosting.

Amazon has one site called mechanical turk. This site is available for all the people in world unlike paypal restricted website. You can complete offers that applies to your country or if the owner is ready to get input from people around the world. You can also get the money as gift card or directly to your bank account. Both these are fine considering you want to get cash or earn money in bank. Some people even sell their gift cards and earn their commission on the card. Another alternative is massworkers. this has less offers compared to the other offers on mciroworkers or mechanical turk. The pay is also at high point which is very annoying. I don't think there is any point in using that service though as it pays very less. You can try if you're pakistani or philipines user because conversion rate for you guys is much higher. Just one suggestion- if paypal isn't available then ask for alertpay. Myeasytask - is similar to microworkers and there are some good jobs and the pay there. Some say that it is very easy and you can get payout in week. So it depends on your work and how you get the jobs. If you luck is good then surely you'll get some better jobs. Else you'll take more time to reach payouts. It also pays via paypal and the alertpay system. Hope these three helps you to earn some micro funds for you. :-)

I never found any lag or problems with yahoo server. In fact it has much better spam killer than google. Google often lets spam comes to inbox. This is not the case with yahoo. So i think it is not that bad. Google on the other hand is more intrusive in terms of privacy and ads if you ask me. Coming back to new feature of yahoo. I think they're also allowing open id features for their users. Now users of stackoverflow can use yahoo id to login to system. Google and facebook users can use their login to get yahoo services like mail or answers. This looks like good feature to me.

Opaque abandoned this forum and is now looks like desert. He did this intentionally or not is beyond my thinking capability. Basically he reduced the mycents earning capability to get rid of members and he never made posts for last 8 months or so. He talks about office and other busy stuff all the time when we contact him but you can atleast take 1 minute for the forum if your sole work involves hosting, web design business. He never sorted out slow mycent issue on this forum and so this was quite intentional to boot members out of the network. Now he can get newbies to post on this forum all day with that low amount and can earn from the content on this forum in autoblog/forum style. The site which you linked is not into marketing but more of into spamming. Such sites sends sms to mobile which often are under do-not-disturb registry. So basically by getting phone numbers via internet and then spamming them with your ads or so-called marketing is not at all effective marketing. Google analytics is getting more devilish and is fetching data from publishers website and based on that filtering the google search. For this reason i'm switching from google analytics to reinvigorate. This analytics is similar to google analytics and their freebie plan also gives you much better stats than google analytics. You can also get heatmap - links where people are clicking. This type of data is much accessible from analytics like this than google. I'm moving away from services like google because they're getting too much data about our server, hosted files and interaction by using such scripts. I'm not going to give my data so openly to search engine like that. Anything is better than evil google analytics, me thinks. So far these are the tested analytics which perform much better than google analytics for me. Public pagerank is fake and still people follow it. Being an open ranking system makes it easy for people to manipulate it. Think about it, why google will equate it with real algorithm change ? They'll not do that at any cost. So you can safely avoid it. Google changed their algorithm recently and nw it';s hard to rank for some long tail keywords so in my opinion it is better to target other search engines. You get basically garbage results or google manipulated results for your query. I mean some queries gives you google books or groupon links, which is useless. You should try to find the data and the information related to the trustrank which is hidden part of the algorithm and your earning is dependent on that. Because better trustrank higher the earning and hence the more clicks and views. You should concentrate on social media traffic now because in 2-3 months even trustrank will change and people will need to get used to it. They're also making google a more personalized search and for that you need to adopt as well. This will change your approach and so earnings will reflect to that as well. Concentrate more on your site and then worry about SEO. Try to be more independent of SEO and so you'll be able to get more traffic from other sources than google.

Okay, i'm going to add few points which may or may not be welcomed by people who think other way around. I'm going to point out why this method is not good for some sites and what to do to get more shares. Addthis and sharethis make more calls to external sites and this increases your loading time. Loading time is very important these days in terms of SEO. Though bot crawling may be easy but end user experience will likely to cause some trouble for speed. If you're using these buttons on product review sites or sales pages then these buttons are leaks because they're driving users away from your product. This is the reason most of the profit driven sites avoid usage of social media buttons. To use it only on non-sales pages or non-product pages, you can use wordpress plugin (assuming you're using wordpress) that lets you enable social media buttons on per post basis.

Wordpress has plugin that makes this process easy to follow. Wordpress themes may interfere between plugin code and the other calls. You need to make sure that plugin is updated regularly in order to see if it works. For me it worked on some themes whereas other themes simply refused to play with it. Anyway, nice tutorial for those who have small sites or flat file cms sites. The method in this tutorial is good for HTML or simple sites and not for CMS. For CMS you need to modify some of the theme code or the core code of the CMS. There are some plugins to do this for major CMS. If you're playing with warez/copyrighted content then your adsense account is few steps away from deletion. Adsense team keeps eye on every keyword on page and they delete adsense accounts from those pages. Ask opaque how many times some buzzwords trigger in his adsense email when team mails him for the words on his sites or forum pages. Some vulgar words related to female body or male body trigger adsense alarm and they keep eye on your account.If they see it coming from forum then simply lower the ecpm value and hence earning goes down. See ? if it comes from blogs then they simply warn publisher or delete account. They don't care if it is from youtube or someone else. If it violates rules, they remove the account. Another thing is about linking to copyrighted content. If you like to distribute someone's content which is copyrighted and is hosted by pirates and distributed then by linking to pirated content, you become one of them. So there is no way out. It's similar to buying illegal tickets for movies. Hope you get the analogy. Sharing affiliate ids on single sites and then using black hat techniques to make sales is surefire way of getting ban from networks like commision junction, clickbank and some others. So you're in risk when you create site with your friends. It's not revenue sharing model you guys are working on but more of few black hattters spamming or violating copyrights to make sales. As for being social, there are ways which don't violate DMCA or someone's copyright laws in any country and still make money. Just because others are doing it doesn't mean that you should do it with excuse of money. By going above this you cross boundary of black hat people and now move into area of piracy and illegal activity. Good luck making money via this method, no matter how long you make it.

Second, there are tons of advertisers who like such sites but there are tons of issues to get traffic rolling. You need to literally spam facebook and twitter to get visitors and if not then black hat SEO to get traffic from search engine. In short you end up being darker than black hat guy for manipulating things like this. If you think everything is fair in money and whatever, then you should open yourself up to pay few money to host your such content on protected sites where DMCA can't touch you. In that condition it's possible to make money, else many hosts take down such sites everyday due to legal or DMCA issues. Risk is about getting hosting account deleted, dinged by google index and few other anti-spam blocking your site. are you up for the risk ?

Facebook page and widget can be used to get traffic to your website. Widget allows you to place sidebar placeholder where users can like or unlike your website. They can also like your individual blog posts using that widget. As for facebook page, it can be used as landing page to bring traffic from your page to blog. Your blog posts can be syndicated on facebook where traffic can click on link and land on your blog. Basically this is what people are doing when they're adding widgets and landing pages. Facebook is constantly changing the way you write FBML and other markup on their pages, so take a look at it before creating your own. Content (feed) syndication from facebook to your blog helps get some traffic and it works if you want clear answer for this. As for what to add, i'm not into your niche so i can't help you with that. YOu have to do the research and see what works and what doesn't for your own niche and website. It works this way, if it works carry on else try something else till it works. You need to spend time on your site if you want money. There is no compromise whatsoever if there is money involved in it. If you miss the site manipulation, you miss the money. It again takes time to get back into business while you're out. I don't know which sites are there for your niche so it's upto you to do that. You can instead pay someone to make backlinks or send some forum traffic by posting links in forums, you need to outsource your work while not working online. That will also help. Less search engine dependency you'll have and google can't ignore site which is independent of their boosting. So in such case social media websites help get more human votes and traffic to site and later make it authority. Mind you, this will take longer time than you planned. This is not push button theory that is going to be overnight success or 1-2 week hard work but consistent work for year or even more. Amazon/ebay took decades to establish that authority. Second question, which social media site ? Oh yeah, this one is not so simple. You need to assess the traffic and topic of your site. Which site is useful for your topic ? i mean twitter and facebook will help 25% of social media efforts because they're generic and not dependent on any one topic or you can say restricted to one topic. Do you know any social media site which is focused on medical topic ? or forums which also qualify for few pecentage of social media traffic in your niche ? if so, use them. I'm more interested in mixing multiple sites in this theory. Not sure what are those sites in your niche. But do concentrate on facebook and twitter at the start. Later you can expand it for other social media sites or forums. I do think of your strategy of facebook and twitter being good, you just need to get things done quickly. Just make sure you put your stuff slowly into them to avoid spamming, but that aside get your presence for profile as quickly as possible. If you're targeting newbies in your niche, then it's better to open some social channel on your site asking them for contribution. This is much better strategy but will require more efforts from your site.

Not true point on traffic, ahsan. If this update is going to put us on page 2-3 or 4 then that's equal to traffic from the secondary search engines. It's going to be hard in either case. You can invest in your site to get visitors but google will allow users to filter sites irrespective of that. In such cases you are going to get less traffic anyway. I hope you know about that google addon ? That is going to help many people to filter bad sites (as per them), many black hat owners are starting gigs on microworkers to block the competitor sites. isn't this mayhem ? So your results from pakistan google will now be similar to weird results on google US. I don't think You and I follow black hat stuff. But more of gray hat stuff, because we're not spamming with automated tools like xrummer and some other spamming software. We're not spammers and hence no black hat stuff involved in our off-page SEO. We are doing manual backlinks, which is close to natural linking anyway. Just because percentage of people still using google doesn't mean google is still giving good results. I can give you plenty of keywords that are on high CPC and carry the largest traffic on the web are now getting garbage result on SE. Most of the people who are tech savvy are switching back to some other search engines which gives results based on sorting of data from mutliple other search engines. My question is that quality of google search is distorted. You don't want to see map of restaurant for the poem query or amazon product which is totally irrelevant. Let me share one incident with you on this experiment. I know you can't do similar on yours but be creative anyway. I reviewed one US tv series in my own words and by now you know how cryptic my writing is sometimes here or anywhere. So that review got viral on tumblr and many users made fun of it because they were fan of that series and they made backlinks to my site saying 'what kind of review is this ?' or similar title etc. I didn't wrote that purposefully and my cryptic writing helped me here as well. Result ? more than 20 natural backlinks and reblogging traffic from tumbler. Now stuff is moved to wordpress.com and they're also giving me backlinks. Imagine, being controversial or stupid can help you sometimes, to get noticed by others. I never meant it for backlinks but for as experiment to see if my voice is heard on this noise of internet.

@ahsan, these short term profit sites like this are very much beneficial if you're going to pay for domain and hosting. You don't need to work on them forever but you can use the trickle of money to pay for the stuff. That's why they're there for users like us. I do manage to get decent sum from genuine article writing and other online solutions but being asian like you, it's hard to get money on the internet. So automated systems like CPA are worth to try which can help you pay bills for hosting and other online stuff, isn't ?@dimz, Sharecash does pay on time to their users and they're biggest CPA marketers on the block. You're missing the point. After new google update almost every site is affected. Try searching for creative keywords like 'phoenix haiku' and tell me what you get on results. A map for restaurant, address to some place and few other sites which pick up word phoenix but ignore 'haiku' which is the main keyword ? Not just content farm like eza but even your and my sites are affected. If you're not noticing this big change then there is something wrong on your part of observing SE. Think about it, all the keywords are showing some advertisers pages or results rather than valuable pages. This is seriously wrong move by google. I don't mind affiliate or product owner sites but they're showing sites of their adwords clients. This is not good, because that's like manipulation of search for profits when they claim value and no evil on other side. Matt cutts talks a lot of lies in his talks. You can debunk his talks in one minute. For example, he says copied content is penalized or syndicated content farms are going to get penalty. Now tell me why 'bird cages for sale' and 'metro advice' keywords are ranked by autoblogs ? I can give you 100 such sites which dominated google and are stealing content from other sites. What will you do tomorrow if any theif steals your content and rank ahead of you saying he's using your feed ?. Just because matt cutts is from google doesn't mean he's telling the truth. He's showing guidelines to put people on the line and to benefit their firm, he's not giving solutions now. I know myself included many people hear his advice but it's past now. I found advice of black hat seo people more interesting because they know how to crack google without getting penality (obviously if anyone makes mistake then they'll end up like JC Penny or other slapped sites).
