I have been using FL Studio for many years now and haven't had any problems with it. However, recently, I started having the problem of my music having a lot of buffer underruns on FL Studio when i play it. I don't understand why it all of a sudden has started happening bc it had never happened before. I am guessing that obviously something on my computer is robbing my cpu ram but I have no idea what. I checked my antivirus and antispyware programs and they seem to be doing the same as they have always done. I have avg free 2011 and spybot search and destroy and malwarebytes. I also have no messed with my sound drivers so I am baffled at why my FL Studio is all of a sudden having these buffer underruns. If anyone has any idea as to why this may be happening please let me know!

I used to play tetris a lot. The first thing I played tetris on was an old gameboy that didnt have color and took four batteries to run. It's hard to believe how much technology has changed since the 90s. Anyway that is the only thing I've ever played tetris on besides facebook of course. I prefer the gameboy just because of how the buttons are placed to play the game. I dont like having to use the arrow keys on a computer.

So I am turning my old desktop computer into a server. I am reinstalling an operating system on it and I read that fedora or ubuntu would probably be the best operating systems to use to run a server. Is this true or should I be trying to use something else? Also if it is true, which one is better fedora or ubuntu? Any advice would be great!

I have made a website and it has a simple comments feature on it so viewers can comment on my page. I have added a filter to filter out swear words but what is a way to stop people from spamming and ban them from the site for a period of time if they do spam my site. I do not require a login to view my site and was hoping to do this without forcing people to login. This may be more of a php question than mysql but I will have to use both to solve my problem i'm sure. Anyway, any advice would be much appreciated!

I have made some simple games in java but I have not tried to delve into really hard to make 3d games. I know a lot of my friends have used C++ to make games but I have never used C++ so I dont know whether it is the best language to use or not. I know C so I imagine C++ can't be too much different but like I said I just haven't tried it. Anyway, I hope this input helps some.

I still remember when I got need for speed 2. I loved that game in the late 90s. I fell in love with the McLaren F1 and that is still my dream car today. Anyway, afterwards I got need for speed 3 high stakes and this was also a good game when it came out. It beat the graphics of need for speed 2 by a long shot and added the hot pursuit cop part. After that I got need for speed high stakes which was an awesome game. Not only were the graphics better at the time but also there were many more features available. Next I got need for speed underground. This game also improved. The last game I got was need for speed underground 2 so I can't talk about any games after that. But back during the times I got the games when they first came out their graphics were always amazing at the time. I assume NFS games are still keeping up with the graphics of modern times as graphics have became insanely good now and keep improving. Hopefully when I graduate and get this degree I can get a high paying job and get back into buying expensive NFS games as soon as they come out!

I still remember when I got my first gaming system. It was a super nintendo that had donkey kong country on it. Later my neighbor got a computer and it had snake on it and we thought that was the coolest game ever. He also had a regular nintendo, a sega genesis, and of course finally eventually a playstation. It's hard to believe you can play snake on your cell phone now where as back then it was cool to have it on your computer. I am only 21 and I can't believe how much technology has changed since the late 90s and I can only imagine how much it will change in the future. Anyway I loved the game Gradius 3 on super nintendo. I wish they would remake some old like playstation games and give them better graphics because some of the old playstation and other games were awesome. I feel like a lot of games nowadays are fairly easy to beat and the game makers only focus on having amazing graphics.

I first played super mario kart on super nintendo. I used to love that game. I would love to play it right now if I could. I can hear the game music in my head haha. Anyway I can't afford to spend money on a new game console like a wi at the moment because i'm saving money in college and I wouldn't have time to play anyway. Did they make a mario kart for ps2? If they did then I would love to have that.

I am assuming you're playing this game on a PC and not a gaming system like a playstation or an xbox. Have you tried playing the cd on another PC besides your own PC? Maybe your disc drive on your PC is having a problem. Have you tried playing another CD on your PC? Just throwing some obvious basic troubleshooting steps out there. I have Fifa 2007 for my ps2. Unfortunately I have not played it much so I don't know much about it. I got it as a christmas present. Anyway hope I helped in some way and good luck beating your teacher

Does the logic plan include being able to use curl? I see under the logic pro plan that the logic pro plan includes many programs like php, perl, Curl etc... All I want to do is get information off of a website using the curl function in php for my website. Can I do this with the just basic logic plan? I was going to ask so I would know to save and buy the 6.66 plan instead of the 1.75 plan that may not do what I need it to do.

I just use youtube to post my instrumentals I make. I would be mad if somebody stole my instrumental without me knowing and unfortunately they can do that on youtube I understand the whole copyright issue and everything but as we all know there are two sides to the story. If I was a huge artist I wouldn't care as much about the money as knowing my music was getting out to peopl and people liked it. However, I just make music as a hobby and not as a career. If music was my career then I would be very mad if I was not making any money off of my songs.

I record my songs via a usb mic with sony acid pro. I then edit these files (do noise reduction etc) with adobe audition. I use FL Studio to put all my track pieces together. Anyway audacity is a good free program you can use just to edit your music and do simple things. I dont know how serious you are about what you're trying to do with your music. I didn't see anything on your post about where you were buying your parts from. I was going to ask where can you normally find the best deals on new computer parts. I know newegg.com has some good sales usually. I dont think it would make sense to buy off of ebay as the parts may be used and of worse quality but maybe ebay is a good idea? Anyway where would you suggest buying all of the parts? I have an old gateway from around the year 2000 and I am going to re-do the whole thing. I have never built a computer so hoping to learn a lot from this experience. I am also a computer science major so I need this experience more than others probably. Anyway post something about where to find good deals on parts if you can

Minus the physical part of cleaning a laptop and making sure it doesn't have dust, another thing that will improve speed is to make sure your laptop doesn't have spyware on it. Maybe you're laptop has been having problems because it needs spyware removed from it. I use avg free with malwarebytes with spybot search and destroy and spyware doesn't stand a chance on my laptop. Also if you're using firefox and are having internet loading problems check your addons. I had to disable the newest java on my addons and my internet loading problems have been fine since. I hope this helps you with your problems in some way!
