  1. Haha. I like this topic.I have it too. 'hungry anger' is what i call it.Anyway, I can normally control it though but I must acccept I get moody when I'm too hungry....and I can't usually concentrate on work when I'm hungry either.Well, I think one good solutions is a bite of chocolate!
  2. OK... i agreed that England hasn't been playing well for the last three matches or so but still qualify because they are in one of the easiest group possible - Austria? Northern Ireland? Wales? i mean, come on, just looking at the teams and i couldn't see any teams challenge England and Poland for the first two spots. But... they managed to give the fans a bit of a worry. why?1. Eriksson appeared to "experimenting" his side in a qualifying matches (4-5-1 anyone? playing Rooney out of position and shifting players around as Mr. Beckham wanted to play in the center)2. Mr. Beckham has been poor! No need to say more.3. Why on earth Eriksson got rid of David James so late is beyond me.4. Eriksson couldn't lift players' confidence after bad performance. (because too many of his private stories that he couldn't even concentrate on his job)5. Underestimate Wales and Northern Ireland? Maybe. So at the end they qualified not by beating Austria but by watching the dutch beating the Czech on Sky Sports. Did they deserve it? No. They are just lucky to be in this group and the results elsewhere went their way.I think England now have to do 4 things before the World Cup in germany.1. Go back to 4-4-2 permanently with Becks on the right, if he's not happy then put Wright-Phillips there.2. Get everyone fit especially Rooney, A.Cole and Gary Neville. They are just irreplaceable.3. Call in Scott Parker as he is the only person who can sufficiently cover Lampard or Gerrard if they are injured.4. Be more optimistic and adventurous . They are too afraid of losing at the moment....attacking Austria with 5-6 men behind ball was not good enough
  3. OK that clears things up for me a bit. So if you already have a lot of credit (30 days+) then your posts are less valued? I guess it's a good way to make people post regularly rather piling up spare credit. I have had problems with credit earlier during the holiday because it's more difficult to connect online and the internet speed i used at home is extremely slow. Therefore, i did try accumulating credits so that i don't ave to post often when it's not as convenience to do so. And yes, i failed to sustain credits during the summer coz i couldn't reach 45-60 days target. So i may now only keep it around 3-7 days and maybe my posts will count for more? Thanks for the explanation.
  4. Yes, they do pay. I was paid before but it wasn't that much. It was only around 60-70 dollars. Google is a big company and i don't think would cheat.Hope that helps.
  5. I thought i was about the only person who posts about football (soccer) here. My favourite team is Liverpool for many reasons.1. They are the first team i watched when i was five years old.2. They were dominating the game at that time.3. They still are the most successful team in England - 18 league titles and 5 Eurpean cup.4. Their players behaviour both on/off the pitch are relatively good. No allerged rape or late night bust ups or anything like that.5. Their academy produced a lot of good/great players - eg. McManaman, Owen, Gerrard, Caragher though not recently.6. Their fighting spirit is normally high - recently shown in Istunbul against Milan. My favourite players are Steven Gerrard, Steve McManaman, Michael Owen, Jamie Redknapp and Fernando Morientes
  6. Charlton v Tottenham Charlton boss Alan Curbishley knows his best 11 players and they are playing well, creating lots of chances and looking good defensively. Tottenham have made a decent start but I think it could have been better. They haven't got the distraction of Europe and the manager needs to settle on his best team and stick with it for a while. If he upsets one or two players then tough. Verdict: Charlton 2-1 Fulham v Man Utd The Blackburn loss was such a low ebb for Man Utd. They aren't firing on all cylinders but they are due a performance soon, regardless of their injuries. Fulham will have to push forward a little bit at home and I feel that will leave them just a little bit open. Verdict: 0-2 Portsmouth v Newcastle Newcastle have got a new-found confidence. They are still not there though and missing injured players. They've got a lot to do but have had a couple of steps in the right direction. Portsmouth are starting to look a bit of a shambles. The manager has had the dreaded vote of confidence and Fratton Park's not the fortress it has been in the last couple of seasons. Verdict: 1-2 Man City v Everton We should still be at church when this starts shouldn't we? I believe Everton will end their barren run a la Sunderland. There's nothing worse than playing at home when you're losing, so it should take a little pressure off them being away for this one. It looks like City's luck has deserted them. They were unlucky against Newcastle, Doncaster and Bolton and sometimes as players you think 'what's happening here?' Verdict: 1-2 Arsenal v Birmingham Arsenal were missing some players and had a good result against a young Ajax team in midweek. This is like a direct debit 2-0 - it looks guaranteed. Can Birmingham create a real threat to Arsenal at the back? I don't see it somehow. Verdict: 2-0 Liverpool v Chelsea I think like most of the games between these two, it'll be a draw. This time it might be 1-1 only because of a bit more familiarity. They aren't classic games because they tend to cancel each other out and I can't see, even with a change of personnel, that there will be a great deal of difference between the two teams. Verdict: 1-1 (with deep hope in my heart that Liverpool will win 1-0) ;-)
  7. HI... I've recently come to be interested in road cycling sport. I understand the team work behind cyling now and have enjoyed watching the Pro Tour so far this year. Now i 've just tried a cycling management team and it looks good. So i just wanted to know if anyone any tips for winning sprints, mountain stages and a long classic coz after a handful of races so far i have only manage to win one sprint. And the spring classics are my main target, so any tips on that is appreciated. Thanks
  8. I have not tried anything, apart from MSN (well, before that, about 10 years ago, there was ICQ). And I'm satisfied with it, so I'm gonna stick to MSN.But the advantage of ICQ is that you can send offline messages. So you can leave a message for someone who isn't even online. Then when he comes online, he'll get it.
  9. Haha..that's funny. Just imagine...someone here lives upstairs or something.
  10. Hey, Cheer up!!Sometimes life gets difficult. But that doesn't mean that you have lost your existence. Fight! You know you have it in yourself. Believe in yourself...and people will believe in you!Tomorrow is another day. Forget about things in the past, and do the best for now.You still have lotsss of support from this comunity and you are not alone.
  11. So this is like "Legal Aid"? Providing legal advice and assistance to poor people.I like the idea as I'm studying law myself and I can see how expensive legal cost can be. So this does not only help poor people, but also help the students to get to practice. Do the students not need, though, the special qualification in order to be able to present a case in court? (like barrister exams etc)
  12. I went to D'overbroeck's College in OXford. It's a private/independent college.I was (and I still am) away from home too and I lived with a host family. The tutors at school were very very good. Many graduated from OXford theselves. The class was also small, the mzximum of 8. This allowed us all to get full attention from the tutors and we got really close to each other. The tutors taught me so many things. I love them!
  13. Well, the English Premiereship has got underway again. Each team has its spending spree, some more, some less. The most expensive move is Essien from Lyon to Chelsea for 26 million pounds, but the most talked-about move is probably Michael Owen from Real Madrid to Newcastle for 17million. Although i really wanted to see him play for LIverpool again, the 17m price tag is too expensive for us.Now 6 matches had gone and we can see some kind of shape of this season already....Chelsea - just won 6 matches out of 6 from the start and now leading the league by 7 point! It seems like they are not gonna be caught soon, most probably until the end of the season as they haven't conceded a single goal yet!Other "big three" which are supposed to challenge Chelsea didn't really show their capabilities of doing so yet. Man Utd is the best out of the three so far as they are still unbeaten with 3 wins and 2 draws. And with Van der Saar in goal, their defence looked a lot better. (Without him, LIverpool would have beaten them last weekend)Arsenal, who sold theri captian, Patrick Viera, seemed to be less potent than they used to be. Fancy football as usual but they appeared to lack toughness and lethal edge without Thierry Henry at the moment.Liverpool, the European Champions, started the season early with Champions League qualification rounds. They are still unbeaten but their form is nt convincing at all. 4 games into the League and they have just scored 1 goal (from a freekick) although they controlled games most of the time. Departure of Milan Baros is a mistake?Last year fourth place, Everton, started the season as badly as they could ever expected. Lost to a spanish side in UCL quali, and now thrashed 5-1 by a Budapest side in Uefa Cup, with disappointing league start. The Merseyside Blue are looking for bottom-half finish?Other sides to watch this year are Charlton, Bolton and Spurs. Charlton had a 100% win record until they played the almightly London Blue last weekend. We will see how that defeat affect their runs.Any prediction for this season? Winner, UCL places, Eufa places and relegation?
  14. I'm playing a handful of games at the moment. I've just started playing Winning Eleven 9 on PS2, Collin McRae Rally, Cycling Manager 4, Impossible golf on my computer. I've also just bought Cashflow the E-game which is about getting out of Rat race in real life. I read about it in Rich Dad Poor Dad series a while ago and have decided to buy the game in software version. It's a shame i have to pay 10 bucks a month if i want to join the community and play it online with other people.
  15. My favourite game character is Toad from Mario series. Why Toad? I dont know. I just think he is the cutest mushroom in the world (haha). My girlfriend really likes Mario though, so when we play Mario cart, the two characters often faced each other....
  16. I like that you asked what's my favourite sport to watch/play/and for games as it is easier for me to answer.First, i like to play Football (soccer not american football) most. I like it because everyone plays it so it's not hard to find someone to play with. Also, you have to use quite a lot of skills in order to play properly. Using your feet to do something is definitely more difficult than using your hands, right? And that's more challenging for me. Also you have to be agile, fast, strength and have good stamina at the same time as only three substitues are allowed in a game. I also like to play many other sports, but my second favourite is badminton. I played badminton since i was around 6 and i am also quite good at it, playing for schools and universities. For watching, i like football most again as i like to play it. My favourite team is Liverpool as they were the first team i watched, and i was impressed by their play at that time. But i also like to watch Tennis, Basketball, American football, Cycling (i've just started watching cycling a year ago but i kind of like it). I even like to watch poker (if you count that as a sport). For games, i like football games and football managing games most. I also like american football games, snooker, cycling, basketball, golf anythign that i understand really.
  17. "Now I have no problem from 1&2, the thing that pisses me off is #3. 1 and 2 are not searching any one person without any probable cause or reasonable suspciion"I agree. Of coursee there is an utilitarian argument ie argument on policy groundthat if each of us sacrifices little of our satisfaction or privacy to reach the maximum happiness, it would be best. In other words, we each should sacrifice for the best of the society ie more drug abusers may be arrested. But I agree that students are entitled to expect certain level of privacy. And random serch without reasonable ground should not be allowed.
  18. "A 5km wide asteroid has been found orbiting around our Earth. Could this be a second moon?". Interesting! I have never heard about it and I cannot be certain about it until there's more proof. However, isn't the idea that 'there are two moons' cool?Like...if you look up into the sky and see 2 moons. IT'd be strange, wouldnt it.Ah well, this new moon might not be so big that we can see it as another moon. But just imagine...
  19. I don't really play games online but I think I enjoyed online chess.I also downloaded games to play rather than playing it online.I play some nintendo games which have been distribued free on the internet...like Super MArio, and Super MArio 3. hahaha...Sounds sooo outdated and childish, right? I enjoyed it though
  20. Hi,My website has been hosted by trap 17. So as a condition, I have to be an active member of the forum. That's fine usually. However, I've recently encountered a problem ie. I can't access Xisto website to post my comment. In other words, when I tried to enter into Xisto website, my screen showed a messge 'this page cannot be displayed'. It happened for quite a few times. And then, of course, my website has sometimes been suspended because of this.HAs anyone experienced the same proble? Maybe it's because I'm in Bangkok now for holiday . Usually when I'm in the UK, I have faced with no such problem. Thanks a lot for your advice! Notice from cmatcmextra: Moving from General Talk
  21. I don't usually drink. IT gives me headache.Anyway, I have heard medical information that Asian people usually have less digestive chemical required to digest alcohol. That's why Many Asians find it more difficult to enjoy drinking.
  22. I like pop music ....and I like listenning to songs from musicalsss. My favourite musicals include Cats, Les Miserable, and etc.Oh I also like Disney songs.
  23. I think it's when I have been with someone I love, or someone I feel good with including friends.I think it's good.....if...when I open my eyes in the morning those ones I love are with me....to give me morning hugs or kisses. I Think it's fantastic that before I sleep, I see them and when I wake up I see them again. (immediately)
  24. At first I thought this topic was wider than it actually is.(as in I thought you asked me to talk about anywhere on the web I like to go, but you actually mean forums)I don't think I'm an active member in other international forum. I mean, when I'm at uni in the UK, I read online news and post opinions. But that's a forum in Thai (not in English). I think I spend more time checking mails and chatting.
  25. my hobby is music. I listen a lot.I play the clarinet, the keyboard, the Thai violin, and I also sing. I'm not very keen on sports though.
