Thanks for your replies.I don't think it's the problem with the country generally..as my friends try to access it from Thailand (not China or India)...And most of my friends in the country can see it.But now I think there's some evidence pointing to ISP , as those who can't access might be using the same network provider. Will definitely check...and let you know.. ....so saddd..

Thank you for the replies...Yes, the letters are Thai.Actually, I asked my other friend to check. She's trying to enter from Thailand. and She is using broadband. She can't go into my site either. (at the same time as she's entering, I entered as well..and it worked fine for me)So it would be great if someone knows what this is all about (just like Katiff was saying)

p.s. I'm entering from either UK or Denmark.

Hi,I have a website hosted by Xisto. Some of my friends have experience a problem of not being able to access my homepage. The message which appears is either 'the server is too busy' or " communication problem. Either the server is down or it is too busy"But the problem isssRight after my friend told me, I went to the website myself and it was working fine.So I told my friend to try again, and she still couldn't. So then I tried to send her other pages from my website, but she still couldn't enter....anyone please help me see what the problem actually is.Is it because my page is too big (much to load) or is it because Xisto is too busy (but why can I access it at the same time)...or is it just my friend? (although more than one of my friends have had the same problem.Note:1. we are in different countries.2. I'm using broadband and my friend is using dial-up.3. Maybe if you wanna try...go to...http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Let me know if you can enter it...and maybe tell me which country you are trying to access it from and whether you are using dial-up or broadband. Thanks a millionnn

I think we started by search engine (google), where we search for free web hosting. Then what we found from google is some web-host review. (sorry I can't remember which one it was)...where they review many webhosts. And it says that for Xisto, it's free but you have to be an active member of the forums. Also We looked at the fact that Xisto doesn't put ads in our website and that Xisto can offer a big space.So...that's why we've chosen Xisto.

When we do law, there is something debatable called 'deterrent effect'. It means punishment can help reduce crimes because it deters people from commiting crimes.Of course, this is a controversial issue and there is much debate about whether it exists. For example, when drunk driving is a crime. Sometimes when I go out with people who are already working (as they are in a choir with me), they would only take one wine/beer because 'I'll have to drive home'. So in a sense, for those people it does deter them. However, how do you know? Maybe those people are more concerned about their safety, than being caught of 'drunk driving'.Also there is a research showing the statistics in some states of the US that when they abolished death sentence, the rate of crimes decreases! So there seems to be no corresponse between harsh punishment and level of crimes. Another argument is that when people commit crimes, they don't really think about how much punishment they'll get if they get caught. For instance, a lot of people commit manslaughter (kill without intent) in a car accident because they are careless. They never thought of killing anyone...or the punishment of it. As for hardened criminals, they are going to commit crimes anyway, no matter what. For example, suicide bombers don't worry about punishment as they are going to die in the bomb anyway. So punishment doesn't prevent ALL crimes.

Where the heart is: it's a very old movie..but really nice.(Natalie Portman)

Who Are Your Personal Heros? well who are they?
Peaktao replied to spawn_syxx9's topic in General Discussion
Mine is not a hero, but heroine. Her name is Nan and she taught me English. She has been teaching English to thousands of students. (by normal live classes and VDO/DVD classes). What is great about this girl is that she got her degree in languages when she was 19. And it's a first class honour Then she and her friends set up this tutorial school, when she came up with a unique method of teaching. They compose songs to teach people. For example, in the song called 'small' , they put all the synonyms in there eg. small, petite, minute, miniature, tiny etc. They have grammar songs too.So those songs really help us memorise (although of course it might not be as good as learning in foreign countries, fo those who haven't got a chance to study English abroad, it's a really good idea)Anyway, she is sooo tiny but she is brave and fantastic. We just don't know where she gets all the energy from. She is just very powerful and superbly actibe in class. So I have become who I am because of her. -
Hey,I have been trying to submit my website to the search engine (google, and yahoo)through our sitemanager (in Cpanel). I did it once last month and again this month. But the site doesn't seem to appear. I also submit to google directly, still doesn't work. Someone told me it could take months. IS that truee??Are there some techniques to get it done more quickly? Or have I done anything wrong so my site hasn't been up there properly. Thanks for your advice.

Hey!Just wondering...which forums (sub-forums) in Xisto do you like the best?Which do you think is the most popular one? (which one do you go to read first after you log-in?)For me, I like Gaming, Real Life Experience, and school/college/work.Sometimes, I also read stuff in general talk and music/movie.
-
I do some music.I sing and play the clarinet and the violin (although it's not a normal violin).Anyway, I hardly play the clarinet and the violin these days...although in the past I played the clarinet for a band and so I played every day. Now I only managed to sing in a choir every week, which is going well, and I have been with this choir for almost 4 years. It's fab.I hope I'll manage to do more music. My nw hobby now seems to be creating/updating my website. (which is a great fun too).

What's The Worst Experience You Had In Your Life?
Peaktao replied to FiReStOrM's topic in General Discussion
Ahh..how sweet, Caveman.I don't really particularly has one...coz..I tend to forget bad things which happened after a while...But as a whole, I think my life was at its worst when I was in primary school.I was in this school which praises 'beautiful and rich girls with posh family names'. School teachers loved them very much.(well, I was in all-girl school). So any normal girls like me never had any chance of doing anything...and sometimes even got looked down on. (although I'm from an average family) I remember all those girls coming to school every day with new toys/school bags etc. ...and saying 'I'm so rich' etc. It was a horrible experience.Well, I 'm glad I left it early enough... my cousin who continued had so much problems afterwards as her friends went on drugs, then excluded her out of the group as she didn't go out and take drugs with them. -
er... possibly... but NO!! ;-)

I wouldn't say that France won it. I think England lost the game. 6 missed kicks and a point-blank drop goal at the last moment that should never be missed. well, england missed quite a few good players afer the world cup. And i think after the game against France the English will start to miss Johny Wilkinson quite a bit, don't they? Well... he'll be back in 7-8 weeks or so. but england will not be able to recover from this bad start. It's incredicble though to see they losing by two point in the first and b one in the second. Who wanna bet that they will draw the next game?I think Ireland will win it...maybe a grand slam maybe not. Wales has done pretty well also. ;-)

In some countries, there is a system of 'education outside the school'....where you only go to class on Sat (age doesn't matter there)..And you learn at home for the rest of the week. Then....you can take their exams..which would give you equivalent qualification (as if you have finished school). So instead of spending for example 3 year at highschool (or secondary school), you could finish it in a year and a half if you pass their exams. The pros of this would be that you can go to Uni, and...you won't be too old in comparison to other students (as you did high school in less time.)Of course, the cons would be that you would miss all the benefits you could get in school (like activities etc). Still, this would be useful if your school don't accept you back. Good luck

I'd quite like to try the game before buying it as it costs quite a lot for a student like me. Having said that, i really enjoyed playing Age of Empire I and II, so i can feel i'm gonna get this third one soon or later.Do you know where we can get a trial? I know PC gamer might have it soon but i now lived in Denmark and it's not easy to find the mag. Even if i can it probably cost sth like 7-8 quids anyway.Downloading is not really an option for me at the moment as my connetion is so slow...

Be My Sons Friend Or Die! omg gotta read this
Peaktao replied to renegade-designs's topic in General Discussion
Oh dear....I wouldn't know what to do if I were you.But to be fair, If the guy were your son, you would probably try to talk to the person who he got in trouble with...(although this mom was taking it a step too far, by calling your family every day.) Well, after all, looking at the bright side, you should be glad that at least someone wanna be your friend and someone cares about you that much -
Does Anyone Own A Business? Show me the money
Peaktao replied to byrdhouse's topic in Business Forum
Well, I don't own a business but my dad does.Basically, his company does 2 main things.1. they have seminar centre/holiday resort where they run a leadership and teamwork training every weekend. (many companies send their employees to attend the course.) My dad is a trainer himself as well. 2. Sub-contract: again to do with human resorces. If I were to run a business myself, I would wanna open a music school. -
Oh well... by now everyone knows the result. Patriot 24 - Eagles 21. As a Pats's fan, i think they are the first dynasty of the modern era. The game was close though and i was tensed when the Eagles broke into the lead with the first touchdown while Brady was playing quite badly (was it no 1st down for Pats in the first quarter or sth?). But again Brady bounced back and Branch was superb. Branch really deserves the MVP but i think Harrisson must be quite close with two interceptions and seven tackles.

Upgrade && Hosting Credits Down! surprising for me.....
Peaktao replied to nancmu's topic in Web Hosting Support
That happened to me too. The worst thing was that before the upgrade i filled up my credit to about 14-15 days!!! after the upgrade it's 2.XX... too bad really. -
Everyone here seems to agree that PES series is miles better than the FIFA series. I am definitely one of these people too. First, i concede that the graphic in FIFA is better. The footballers look more similar to the real-life counterparts. However that's not everything. The gameplay is what it counts in sport games. And PES is a lot better on this side. It is simply a lot more realistic. Trust me in FIFA 2005 I can't even kick the ball out of the sideline even if i want to. It simply pass the ball to the nearest player...though he was on the other side of the direction i press!!Beside the dynamic of the game is slower. Pressing which is becoming a big part in football game is virtually impossible in Fifa 2005.Oh well, i found the winner in PES.

Right... we all know that now trap 17 converted to hosting credit to see if the members have been active or not. Somehow, i still have some doubt about this system.Basically, about two days ago, i saw that i have about 10.xx days left for my account. So i posted something and at the end of that day i had over 14 days left. However, i asked for an upgrade yesterday (from package 1 to package 2), and updated my site. Only for me to see today that i only have about 2 days left!!! And i'll be away for a few days. So this really puzzled me.In short... i wanna know if...1) the rate of posting have to be more frequent if i have a bigger package?2) If the upgrade reset my whole credits and i have to start again?Thank you so much if you can make this clear.
