This is such an interesting topic It's really difficult to write something like this.Well,Tao is a rather slim person, with a wide hip (though). She has short, black-brown hair. (and she always has it cut short). She is very quiet if she doesn't you know you well. But she talks quite a lot otherwise. She is more confident than the majority of Thai people althoughshe is absolutely not confident in comparison to people in the country in which is is stydying. Because she does law at the university, some people stereotype her as "lawyers". Ah well, after all, perhaps she does fight for her rights.

Haha you're right!! UEFA, not EUFA. I haven't notice that typo until now. wonder if everyone else did... haha Anyway, i'm back on this board as my Liverpool team is still in the competition...hurray. Before posting my preview for the semis, i have something for you----------------------------------------------------------------Football fans are generally a superstitious lot, but Liverpool's Champions League win over Juventus has sent tea-leaf readers into overdrive. After the euphoria of victory and the prospect of an all-English semi-final with Chelsea had passed, fans noticed that omens and fate seemed to be on their side. After a 21-year gap, Europe's premier trophy could be Liverpool's once more. After all, the signs are there, and not just in the world of football. Rugby results, royal weddings, global events - can it all be just a coincidence? Have Your Say on 606Are the omens good for Liverpool? The late 1970s and early '80s was an era of unprecedented dominance in European football by English clubs, with Liverpool leading the way. For six years in a row, the old European Cup was won by English teams, with Liverpool doing it three times. Hamburg ended that winning streak in 1983, before Liverpool claimed their fourth win in 1984. Sales of souvenir tea-towels rocketed across the land in 1977 as the nation celebrated the Queen's Silver Jubilee. And Liverpool had their own silver celebrations, claiming their first European Cup with a 3-1 win over Borussia Moenchengladbach in the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. A year later, the news headlines were made by the death of Pope John Paul. In the world of sport, Wales celebrated as the rugby team secured a memorable Grand Slam triumph, and Kenny Dalglish's goal was enough to beat Bruges at Wembley as Liverpool retained the trophy. Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa held the trophy for the next three years, and in 1981, it was Liverpool's turn again. While the back pages were dominated by their memorable 1-0 win over Real Madrid in Paris, the front pages were divided between coverage of two weddings - one of Prince Charles, and the other of Ken and Deirdre Barlow in Coronation Street. Fast forward to 2005 and a flick through the papers would reveal... Wales as Grand Slam champions, Prince Charles newly wed and Ken and Deirdre back together. OK, so it is probably just coincidence, but there is one significant omen. Rafael Benitez's first season in charge has had its fair share of ups and downs, but Liverpool fans' confidence must be sky-high after their impressive win over Juventus, and fate would suggest they have good reason to feel happy. Every time Juventus have played an English club in the old European Cup or Champions League, one of the teams has gone on to reach the final. In 1973 Juventus beat Derby in the semi-finals, before losing to Ajax in the final. Their triumph over Liverpool in the 1985 final was rendered meaningless by the horrors of Heysel, but in 1997, 1998 and 1999, they came up against Manchester United. Twice the Turin club triumphed, only to go on and lose in the final, and in 1999 United claimed a memorable victory in Turin on their way to winning the trophy. Juventus saw off Newcastle on their way to the 2003 final, where they lost out to Italian rivals AC Milan, and in 2005 their English jinx continued with Liverpool. And just in case runaway Premiership leaders Chelsea feel this is all rather presumptuous of a Liverpool victory, they can take heart from an omen that favours them. In 1955, the year they won their only league title, there was a General Election - also won by the Blues of the Conservative Party. That was also the last time Newcastle won the FA Cup. On Sunday, Newcastle play Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final in Cardiff. If they manage to win that, you have to wonder if some things really are written in the stars. HISTORY REPEATING? 1978: Pope dies, Wales win Grand Slam, Liverpool win European Cup1981: Prince Charles marries, Liverpool win European Cup2005: Pope dies, Wales win Grand Slam, Prince Charles marries, Liverpool reach Champions League semis

Fifa 2005 is nowhere near as good as Pro Evo 4 (the series is known as Winning Eleven in Asia). Okay, Fifa may offer slightly better graphic (arguably), and have license for teams and players, but the main feature of a football game is gameplay, not other fancy stuff (though they add to the feeling nicely). And in the gameplay, Pro Evo 4 wins by a mile and a half. How can you say there's any fluidity in FIFA 2005? The Game clearly lacks any real pace of real football. The one-touch feature is nice....very nice, but nothing else goes well enough with it. In modern football pressing is a useful tool, but that's almost unexecutable in FIFA 2005.

That's funny... but also quite sad. this language is so hard to read. (Admittedly i am only 21 and i play computer games, online games quite a lot, but i didn't have a clue about this languages until a month ago.) I saw people talking but couldn't understand anything, and one day i found a page in Microsoft website explaining all this thing. (Not that i browse through microsoft web site on regular basis, i found that page posted on another site containing funny stuff.) Oh well, thanks microsoft for a change. (btw, sometimes i use this language to piss people off on some Thai webboards, they must be thinking wtf i'm on about.)

The Sims 2 Nightlife! 2nd expansion pack for Sims 2
Peaktao replied to cragllo's topic in Computer Gaming
That'd be nice, wouldn't it? -
Ok today the second leg starts. Bad news for Liverpool is that Gerrard is out injured, so the hard task in turin is now even harder ;-( I hope that Benitez will come up with a right tactic (even though there not many fit players left in the team). And i just hope that the "european" Liverpool, as oppose to "domestic" liverpool will turn up. Last saturday showed that we can lose to anyone (we were pretty much outplayed by Man City!). Hope Alonso can do some magic though he's no where near fully fit. As for other ties, chelsea and Milan are pretty much through, i can't see Inter or Bayern turning the tie around, especially Inter who seems to need a miracle.... and a fit Adriano! Lyon and PSV tie is pretty much in balance...i can see this one going to extra time (i.e. 1-1 after 90 mins). Lyon will find it hard to score, but they will probably score some time due to their attacking ability. Finger crossed for the Reds... hope we can pull off something good tomorrow night. ;-)

Formula One Motor Racing :: Do You Follow It? I love F1
Peaktao replied to theRealSheep's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, it became a lot more interesting, but you have to admit that the success that renault and Toyota are enjoying came with the new car regulations. I'm not complaining though! But it's interesting to see that all the "big" teams such as Ferrari, Williams, Mclaren & possibly BAR are not doing that well at all. Well, it's still early to tell and i, for one, won't be writing Ferrari off just yet. Their new cars looked competitive enough in the last race although they surprisingly failed in reliability which has been the strongest point of Ferrari for years.I do think the Ferrari will bounce back rather strongly in the next race at San marino (if that's right). They've been particularly good there.enjoy the remaining of the season, maybe we have some new situations to discuss again ;-) -
Hmmm... this is not easy to help. I must admit that it's easier to get bored talking on the phone coz i do get bored too. i don't know really.... maybe talk about what she is interested in. (yeah, you'd better find out what she likes, don't like) talk about yourself a bit but not too much as it may appear to be that you're self-obsessed. Any cool experience may impress her too.

A Highly Controversial Topic: The Death Penalty.
Peaktao replied to UnheroicHero's topic in General Discussion
well, we have to see first what purposes the death penalty serves;1. deterence?2. punishment according to desert? (according to what people deserve)3. rehabilitation? (one of the main aims of punishment)1. Talking about deterrence...the concept itself is controversial. People don't agree whether deterence effect actually exists. Some people say harsh punishment would prevent crimes because criminals would be scared of the sentence. Hence death sentence is a good way of preventing crimes. Nevertheless, this is not necessarily true. Murderer do not think about what penalty they would get when they commit murder. Many people kill because of impulse. It's an instant decision. Some countries give death sentence to those selling a large amount of heroin. To be fair, most of those people have been in business for such a longgg time...that they could not stop when it becomes the law that they will get a death sentence. They are dealing with millions and millions of dollars. Would they suddenly give up their business just because the government imposes death sentence if they are ever caught. IF the answer is no (they will take the risk and probably spend a little money on hi-tech methods preventing them from being caught or even bribery)...then death sentence has no deterence effect. 2. punishment according to what people deserve. This is probably the most convincing argument for death sentence. Still question arises as to who would be able to judge what people deserve? Some people might even argue that only the God can decide. 3. Rehabilitation is one of the main goals of punishment. This doesn't seem to apply to capital punishment though because if people get death sentence already, they cannot be rehabilitated. So I think the only argument which can probably justify the capital punishment is desert. Still that itself can be questioned. -
Just wonder how do you use music player on your webpage with the options to play/paused/ stop/ forward etc.Not an urgent request, just asking to see the possibility of adding something new to a website.

I really liked Shaolin soccer. It was a good movie. I laughed my sock off. Shaolin is also a name of a temple, isn't it? And they practice martial art at that temple which became well-known in Asia. That's what i thought it was anyway.Back to your question about favourite player, I like the goalie partly because i'm a goalkeeper myself!

yeah...it's kind of bugging me a bit too. Often i see it low, and try to post more, but it hardly goes up! I realise though that this is the best wa to keep us in check. But maybe they should increase the credit we gain by posting one character. To be honest, it becomes harder and harder to find a topic to reply to... :-(just a thought.

I prefer to use "hahaha" (more if funnier). To me "lol" didn't give me the feeling that i am laughing or someone is laughing anyway. Same applies to those "lmao", "rolf" etc. to me i feel that if some one really laugh.... the sounds of the laugh (which is "haha") should be a natural sound for me to hear, not "oh i'm laughing out loud". That's my view.

lol... nice way to respond... ;-)

This time of the year again when the 2 blues meet on the Thames. After a controversial loss last year, the dark blue Oxford crew will be looking for a revenge. And the bookies have them as a favourite to complete a revenge after they weighed in heavier than the light blue Cambridge counterparts. As my girlfriend is an oxford student, we'll be supporting Oxford. But the new thing about this Boat race is that it's not on BBC for the first time this year. ITV took over broadcasting and they already reckoned that the rating won't be as high as last year.Usually heavier crew have advantages, so we'll se if Oxford can win it this year.

I'd love to buy both as i love gaming. But if i am to pick one (because of my budget allowance), i'll probably be PS3. Heard that it's far more powerful than X-box 2. Also I currently prefer games on PS2 to games on X-box. i'm more used to to the PS joystick too.But it's true that game developer may not develope games on PS3 if it's not profitable.

I agree there. Either i don't really get it or it just doesn't scare me.

As horror is my favourite type of films, wonder if you have some favourites. (I'll use this to see if i miss any must-see horrors so that i can catch up on them ;-) )My favourites are: (not in order)- The Ring (Japanese version, scary as hell)- The Others (love the atmosphere it creates)- Sixth Sense (Everyone's favourite, i guess. Clever)- Blair Witch Project (super scary as i thought it was real. Wouldn't camp in a wood for months after watching it)- Ju-on (Korean original which inspired "The Grudge", the boy was freaking me out)

Although i generally enjoy watching teen flicks, i don't normally admit it. :-PMy favourites have got to be American pie 1,2. (Don't know about the last one as i haven't got a chance to see it yet). Oh.. i also like "Losers" quite a lot if that's what it's called. (The one with Jason Biggs and Mina Survari and "Teenage Dirtbag").Well, now i'm just over teenage age group, so i haven't been to that many teen flicks as before. My girlfriend is not really a big fan of it...so..

Has anyone played JD: Americam Farmer? Want to know what it like. Any good? I played the trial, but it was too short to decide. I like SIm Farm a lot, so i might get this if it's any good.

The draw for this year quarter-final have been drawn. My team, Liverpool, faced a tough task in playing against Juventus from Italy. Juve has been doing very well in the Champions League this year, coming out top of their group in the group stage and beat Real Madrid in the second round in an extra time in the second leg. Their defensive record really stood up as they only conceded 3 goals in matches, only one against the Galacticos at Bernabue. We also have to play first leg at home so not conceding goal at home is a must coz we'll definitely find it difficult to score in Turin. Being the second least favourite to win the cup, i can only hope we get some luck. The other British team, chelsea also faced a tough task in facing the german outfit, Bayern Munich, the conquerer of Arsenal. But Chelsea is very different from Arsenal. they re "more continental". And although i hate Jose mourinho, I think they will emerge victorious over the two legs. the winner of this tie will play us or Juve in the semi-final.Lyon vs PSV is said to be the meeting between the two underdogs of the tournament. Mind you though that Lyon is in a very impressive form. Their front line found goals from anywhere. It'll be interesting to see whether the disciplined PSV side will be tough nut to crack. But i see Lyon win easily. The last is probably the most significant, the Milan derby. AC Milan vs Inter. Both legs will be played at Sansiro because both team share the Stadium, so the away goal rule is kind of dodgy here. When two italian teams meet in europe, I don't particualrly keen to watch. Usually the score line is 0-0 or 1-0. on my prediction, AC milan will eventually make it to the final, with Chelsea a hot favourite from the other side of the tie. However, as a Liverpool fan, i 'm really looking forward to see my team back as the best of europe again.Any views?

I really feel for you. So just a couple of short poems. Hope they cheer you up.Success is failure turned inside out.The silver tint of the clouds of doubts. And you never can tell how close you are....Maybe near when it seems afar.So ...stick to the fight, when you are hardest hit. It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.#####A worm can roll a stone.A bee can sting a bear.A fly can fly around Versailles cos flies don't care.A sparrow in a hat..can make a happy home.It you wanna do something, just try and make it happen.
