My vote goes to Johnny. I love the way, he's blended the render into the grunge background! though the blue on the render is just a tad brighter than the background. Still, it's blended in nicely!

Yeah, priginally, I had abit mroe stuff on it, but it didn't look simple enough so, I trimmed it down abit! Simple wallpapers are the same as minimalistic wallpapers, as seen on Deviant Art. I'm not a fan of having alot of detail, so, that's why I like doing minimalistic wallpapers! And Yeah I guess It could be called, putting on a brave face!

That's a great attempt at blending the brushed stuff with the render's flame or whatever that thing is!

It looks really really radical! LOL! You haven't done much blending between the strings and the background! IMO you really have to blend stuff in a sig, if you want a good result! But still it looks great!

The first one is just a tad choppy at one place, second one I think is great! it's awesome your second render! nice renders!

That's a really long tut! It wouldhelp alot more if you could add a few more images or screen shots of the result after each step!

You can use another render!!! ZOMG I spent 1 hr of my life rendering that hard picture from gears of war!! O_O!!!

They are way too simple for my liking! Maybe improve your font choice! hmmm.....coding seems to be quite well done, coding could be abit better! Nice job though! Though I like more colorful templates, so I wont be using them just yet!

That's actually quite good for a beginner in GIMP. Not much to say since I moved onto photoshop after a few days of GIMP! GIMP is hard to make anything awesome out of, BUT I have seen marvalous work from GIMP masters!! so....just read more tuts, get people who use GIMP, to give you some criticism!!
