I'll be the first to stand up for Bush. You have to examine his tactics to fully understand what he's doing. Almost everyone has said that the war is bad and it should end. I think Bush would agree with the part that war should end. If you watch what he is doing, he is TRYING to end the war. He doesn't just keep sending troops into Iraq to die! He figures the more people helping, the faster the job will get done. I would have to agree. The reason he is in Iraq is to help them. Would you rather have 3,000 dead Americans or a whole entire country in chaos? I'll take 3,000 dead over a possible 100,000. Also, people are thinking, why are we involved in Iraq problems? They aren't our problems. I would say that is true. But look at everyone else, they all have their own problems, whether it be poverty or government. America is arguably the strongest country there is, so it is partly our responsibility to help. We can't just lie around everyday goofing off. And my last argument. If you don't like Bush, then why did you reelect him? He was voted by Americans to get the chance to run for president and Americans voted him in. The man knows what's best for the long run. I believe he will go down as one of our better presidents. My fellow Americans, I ask you to look beyond the word "nuclear proliferation" and see who George Bush really is. Sorry if I offended anyone, I'm just trying to tell what I think.

I agree with rvalkass, charities are very important. When some people give there money to charities, they expect to see an instant result, thinking that the guy taking the money will say, "Your feeding 1 poor child in Africa for 10 years." But, not everything can go to things like this. They have to maybe use it to pay for shipping charges or other small things. Most charities don't just give their money they receive to one child, but rather a community. They help everyone out a little, but not enough to go through life. They do a lot of behind the scenes work. Charities alone can't solve the world's problems. Science and research requires time and money. We would never find a cure for cancer if we were just examining pictures. We need equipment and money to fund these things. Eventually it will pay off, or so I am lead to believe.

I agree and disagree. SOME people lose weight because they want to look pretty, but I don't think most people fit under that category. I would say that most people do it because they want to live longer, avoid illnesses, and be overall healthier. The people that do it to look pretty, they have the wrong view on it. It's good that they are losing weight, but if they are doing it for looks, then they have the wrong mindset. But yes, people like other people for who they are.

I Am No More Addicted To... internet and pc
husker replied to MusicOnly's topic in General Discussion
That's great! I'm on the computer around 2 hours on weekends, 1 hour on weekdays. I'm not a big guitar player myself, but I do like to play for fun. It sounds like you found your passion in life. I don't know how you can stop being on the computer, it seems like an impossible feat . It's amazing the things Youtube can accomplish lol. Hopefully you will be successful in playing guitar and join a good band. Rock on!! -
Happy St. Patrick's Day indeed! I don't support drinking since I'm only 15, but have fun ! Be careful!

You have definitely found the right place! I have been hosted here for almost a year and it has never let me down. We are very friendly here at Xisto (hence the 3 replies in 30 minutes) and you'll meet a lot of great people. Just make sure you read the rules!
-
Welcome! Sounds like a cool job, but I personally don't like Myspace. Do you have any hobbies? I'm guessing that you are good with webdesign and things like that. Have fun here at Xisto and read the rules!

Welcome pumblechook. You came to the right place to get your web hosting! I'm been here for almost a year and Xisto hasn't let me down. I can answer some basic questions, but I'm not very good with the advanced technical stuff. I would recommend talking to an admin or a mod for the best help. Have fun around here and read the rules!

Welcome and goodbye LonniE. I hope you don't mean cya later as a permanent thing, because we hate to see members leave. So what are some of your hobbies? Are you here for posting? Have fun here at Xisto and read the Xisto Readme!

This seem like a rather vague topic.I hope to read the first book in Eragon and Sabriel. Hopefully I like both so I can read more in the series.

Amen to those two! Why it seems like we walk towards the tornado, I have no clue. Anyways, I think it's good that you are expressing what is bothering you. First off, I'm sure it relieves you stress and secondly, some of them are rather funny. I lot of things bother me, but I choose other ways to express them (like speaking). I could create a long list of stupid people people that I find annoying, but to me, it's a waster (and too much effort ). I'd rather just tell my family or friends about them. So I think it's great that you say these things. It sounds like those are experiences that you have run into. Here's my list: -People that ask questions that everyone else knows the answer but them. -When people think they are the only ones that understand something and then brag that they are super smart. -Teachers that wipe down sick student's desks. -People that can't take a hint! -And people who are too stupid to get a joke that others find hilarious. They ruin it and say things like "I don't get it." ARGH!

Welcome spitix! I feel bad that no one has welcomed you yet! Usually someone does it within a couple of hours. So what are some of your hobbies? We always like to hear your interests here at Xisto. So are you here for hosting? Welcome to Xisto and make sure you read the rules!

Welcome andybebad! So who's your friend that's hosted here? I just might know him. I live in Colorado, so I guess we both have to deal with snow. There are quite a few programmers here like you so you should fit right in. I play a little bit of guitar, but I have a Fender . Have fun around here and read the rules!

Robots don't need any rights. It's not like they can vote and make their own laws. It's a machine! That would be like giving the computer rights. "Anyone would turns off the computer by holding in the power button will be sentenced to one month in jail." It just doesn't make sense(but if it does make sense to someone, feel free to try to make it a law). Robots can't think or make decisions and do some crucial things people can do. They can't really apply their knowledge to anything or analyze and understand what the data they know means. If they can do more than just be programmed information, then we may possible need laws, but there is no need currently. Plus, robots haven't even become a large part of our society yet. It's too early to be discussing questions about robots. But it's not a bad idea that may be taken into consideration at some point during the Earth's existence.

Welcome Nick! When people call me a nerd, I take it as a compliment , so I guess we are kind of similar. I don't know what my IQ is but I'm sure it's higher than yours . Just kidding. Looks like your into politics. Personally I'm going for Obama, but I can't vote (I'm 15). Make sure you read the rules if you haven't already and have fun!

Welcome Matt! Another coding person, it seems like I've ran into a lot of those here, although I am not one myself. So why do you always wear the black hat? Just to be secretive? Metal is ok, I prefer rock. Anyways, welcome to Xisto and enjoy your stay!

Well it looks like you seem happier with this place now. You will learn that you first couple posts will be heavily criticized by admins and moderators. They want to make sure that you understand the rules early and don't make mistakes later. Believe it or not, even I have been warned before (it was my first or second post). As you get more posts and talk to the moderators and admins more, you'll realize that they are very nice people(ok, maybe I'm sucking up a little bit ). They seem to be a little bit looser with what you post because they develop a trust in you. Now I'm not a moderator, but that's just what I've seen happen with me and others. So have fun here and obey the rules!

Hey Icewolf! Like everyone else said, your English is fine(maybe even better than mine, and I'm American )AC/DC is probably my favorite band, so I'd have to say you have a great taste in music. Never heard of Depeche Mode but I'm sure they are good. Have fun around here and read the rules if you haven't already!

Well I'm late to reply to a late introduction. Two wrongs make a right? Anyways, welcome to Xisto. I know I've seen other members on here from Indonesia, so you might want to see if you can find them. I live in the US, so I have no clue what Indonesia is like. Welcome to Xisto and make sure you read the rules if you haven't already. Have fun!

Not necessarily. I think you are being a bit of a pessimist here. In 30 years, a lot can happen technology wise. I'm sure we will create some kind of technology to stop it if it does hit. The odds are unlikely, but I'm sure a meteor will hit sometime, whether it be 2036 or 20036, but there is no need to worry.

I collect baseball, basketball, and football cards. Not as big of a collector as I used to be, but I still enjoying getting more cards. I've organized them in so many different ways (team, name, year, etc.) that they are now a mess! It's still fun to look back at them. It gave me a good hobby when I was about 10.
