You don't need HD, it's just extra I believe. Don't let stores trick you into spending more money than you have to. The probably are saying, "In order to maximize your gaming experience, buy this HD TV." But I believe you don't need HD to run the PS3

World Series 2007 - Mlb And Barry Bonds WHO YA GOT?????
husker replied to mr ? impressive's topic in General Discussion
Are we talking about the 66-96 Chicago Cubs team that was in last place in the national league last year? The Cubs have no chance. Kerry Wood will never be as good as he used to, his age has got the best of him. Twins can't make it either, pitching wins championships. I'm going to take a risk here and go with Dodgers and Toronto, with Toronto winning in 6 games. Why? No clue, just thought they looked impressive last year compared to their previous years. How can you say this when it's PROVEN that steroids do help you hit better. I found a link on ESPN about a year ago that estimated that the number of home runs Barry Bonds actually hit should be about 650. He's a good hitter, I'll agree with that. He went from 34 home runs in 1999 to 73 two years later, when he was 37. Nornal baseball players don't reach the tip of their career when they are 37 and don't hit 39 more home runs than they did two years ago. Everyone knows he takes steroids, he's even tested positive on tests! I hate hearing about this fake and I hope Bud Selig finally kicks him out. It's obvious that the only reason he is playing is to reach the home run title, why else would you play when you are 45? And please don't tell me it's for "the love of the game." I don't even understand why the Giants are still signing him either. The steroids are slowly killing his body, as you can see by his multiple injures. If he does set the record this year, I will NOT be happy at all. -
It's Britney Spears, anything can happen. "Crazy" is the only word that comes close to summing her up. I lost interest in her a long time ago. Let her be herself.

I usually don't rate posts and rarely rate people. I never look for posts with a 5-star rating because sometimes people just rate is 5 stars because it's "fun". I only look at topics based on their title, so I don't bother with the rating system. But thanks for adding it admins.

Welcome Darron! I hope you keep your word and become a valuable member here. I'm don't plan to be much of a traveler myself, but I am only 15. Don't know a whole lot about Thailand, I did a project on it in the 6th grade (I live in the US by the way). Anyways, read the rules and post good, quality things!By the way, I like the comic on your site

Homework Site A P2P Homework site/program?
husker replied to BooZker's topic in Science and Technology
That's certainly an interesting idea, but I have to object being the good person that I am. If you did this, students would learn nothing besides how to download a file. When the need to get a job, they won't understand a lot of things and be confused. I think you have to do the homework yourself. First off, you would need a fairly large database of essays and papers etc(now I'm taking your side). I would recommend giving credits to people who contribute too. Some essays might have certain specific requirements too. For example, an essay on Martin Luther King Jr. requires 1000+ words, three metaphors, and ten quotes. You would almost need a bunch of sub-catergories in order to fulfill all of the needs. It would take a lot of work, but with a lot of help, you could do it. Teachers might get mad however and search the essay on Google and discovered that the kid cheated, so you would have to hide that up. Your site might eventually be taken down by teachers because they disapprove of it(I don't think they have to power to take it down but who knows). Anyways, best of luck to your site, although I would rather do my homework myself and I won't help you. -
No offense, but you snow means nothing to me . Out here in Colorado (where is snows quite a bit, not a whole lot), I have seen snow on the ground since December 20!! We have had like 6 feet total from all of the snows. It's one of the largest Colorado has ever had. Anyways, it's nice to see that other people are getting some snow. Maybe you stole some of it from us

That sounds rather negative to me I don't have one favorite quotes. There are certain quotes for certain feeling, but these are probably my favorites:"Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.""A ship in the harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for."Half of the failures in life come from pulling one's horse when he is leaping.""With great power comes great responsibility." (who said Spider Man isn't educational?)

Anna Nicole Smith's Collapses And Dies At 39 Read and Discuss
husker replied to BordaForx's topic in General Discussion
It could be suicide or I think it could be due to her body. She is so skinny her body may not have had enough food to get her going. But this is very similiar to suicide I suppose. I feel sorry for her, but I think she should have tried to keep her body together and teached her kids better (because he kid commited suicide I believe). Sad story, she will be missed by all (especially the men ) -

I'm not very good with girlfriends but I'm guessing flowers are fine. Every girl seems to like flowers. For Valentines Day, why not get her some chocolates? Those are just some basic ideas, good luck!

Wow, that really is tough. First off, I'll start with your parents. Your parents want you to succeed as you probably know. They know what you are capable of and have high expectations. Every parent does it. No matter what happens, they will still be proud of you. Even if they don't show, they still are and will always be. If you don't get this project done that you are working on and aren't allowed to graduate, you should let them know that you tried incredibly hard and it's not your fault. You might even want to tell your professor that your partners and doing nothing and are providing no help. They respect you as a leader probably because they trust you and know that you are smart (which is good). The problem is, they think you are capable of doing this by yourself. An extreme action you could take is say, "I'm not going to work on this anymore, you two finish it." This will scare them and if they are smart, they will start helping. But this is drastic because they may not do anything and put you in a big hole. Just try to aim for the highest and imagine graduating and your family embracing you. Let that motivate you. Sorry if this didn't help at all. I will be honest with you, this is a really tough situation and you might even want to see someone about it. Even better, take your group to some kind of counselor and work it out together. Best of luck to you, it looks like you will need it.

It's great to see that you moved on. You can't be judged by just 1 your group does. For example, if the Colts lose today but Peyton Manning threw for 400 yards and 4 touchdowns, it's not his fault. No one is going to blame him. In fact, people will appreciate what he did. This is similar to your situation. Just because your friends messed up doesn't mean it has to ruin you. Good luck finding band members. You may even want to consider talking to the members of your group that messed up. Tell them that they should be working harder (say it in a nice way). Here's another example (football again, sorry). If Peyton Manning has a horrible game and throws 4 interceptions, he won't be kicked off the team. As long as he performs well consistenly, the team will understand. You might want to give you band members another chance, but maybe not in a big gig. And also, make sure you choose a nice guitar

It's hard to miss you now that you've came back! You've been on a posting rampage (but not spam). It's great to have you back, sometimes members leave and I just totally forget about them. Nice to know that you will get your hosting back. It took me awhile to get to 30 credits. I like the new forum a lot also. Have fun and if you forgot the rules read them again!

Should Languages Be Required For College Programs? Debate it here
husker replied to BordaForx's topic in General Discussion
Back when jlhaslip was in high school, I think that would be the dark ages. Anyways, I think a foreign language should only be required in high school. And if you fail that test, then that probably means you slacked off and you should learn it again. Languages can get you a lot of different places and life and it's good to know a lot of them. If someone wants to take them in college, then I think that's their choice. Everyone should know a little of some language, it might help them some day. Things in the world connect in weird ways, and a foreign language may become very valuable, but it's up to the person to decide if they want to study it in college. -
Wow, I think I'm going to like this a lot! Good work Opaque! Thanks a lot!
