  1. I think some do and some don't. For example, dogs and cats probably do because they are pretty smart (compared to most household animals). A pet ant or frog, for example, probably don't dream because their mind is incapable of doing it. I don't know a lot about science so my idea is very unlikely, but that's just what came to mind what I saw the question. No need to publish my brilliant idea

    Hello All

Welcome Mago! Now that's a good, detailed introduction. Personally I'm not into anime or runescape, but maybe we have something else in common. Nice to have you here at Xisto, and, like everyone else said, read the rules!
  3. I'm going to Florida this summer with my family. I think we are stopping by Universal and places around there. It should be tons of fun. Can't wait until I'm out of school!
  4. Welcome to the dark side of the forum

  5. Well that's a sweet deal for him, since he's making $10,000 a pitch (that is if he throws 100 pitches in 28 games, which is unlikely). He's going to be nowhere near what he was. "The Rocket" won't fit him considering his fastball will barely reach 90 if it does indeed. I'm beginning to wonder how much money the Yankees have. They never run out!! If he wanted a championship, why wouldn't he go to a winning team like the Red Soxs or the Braves, not a team that is under .500 like the Yankees?
  6. Computers are huge is the world today. Everyone will have a computer soon because you simply won't be able to live without one! I think that computers may even be able to replace teachers at schools. We may even get the chance to vote from our computers at home one day. But there will always be hackers that will always create problems. Nothing will be perfected because someone will always find a way to foil the idea. Computer will grow in importance and popularity still. I just hope that they don't get so powerful that they could destroy us. It's scary to think about what computers will be able to do in the not to distant future.
  7. That definitely has a lot of truth to it, but it's not all from Saddam. Iraq as a nation is in chaos, but then again, they are in chaos mainly because of Saddam. It's sad but I think it's what we have to do.BTW do you think the guy will buy him?

    Hey

Welcome cyp2nv! Xisto is a great site for hosting and talk in general. Looks like you've already made yourself comfortable and posted some stuff. Have fun here at Xisto and read the rules. If you have any questions, you can ask the moderators and admins (or me if you are really desperate )
  9. I just saw it. It was pretty good, and yes Justinx14, there were quite a few corny parts. Overall it wasn't bad. Toby did a good job of playing "imo Spiderman" or so it seemed to me. It was rather long to my surprise, about 2 and 1/2 hours. The camera on some scenes made me dizzy, but that was probably because I was thinking about the cameras and not what was happening in the movie. The ending was great in a sad way. The movie in general was sadder than the first two. I would recommend seeing it, and I would give it 3 out of 4 stars (although the reviews have given it 1.5 and other bad ratings).I didn't get a Spiderman cup SM
  10. The thing that smokers don't realize is how much they and the smoke smells. They are so used to it that they don't even realize how nasty it is. And once you start, it's nearly impossible to stop. People that are like 40 or so grew up seeing ads that encouraged them to smoke, so it's not totally the smokers fault. Luckily they banned these ads. People back then didn't realize the consequence of smoking. Why people do it today, I don't know. You almost want to ask them why they are wasting their life. No good comes out of smoking. The main reason I suppose is just to be "cool". What's said is that we have tons of things that encourage kids not to smoke, yet they still do. The government is cracking down on smoking, but don't think that it will be banned totally in the near future sad to say.
  11. It's interesting to think about it. When one person smokes and the exhale all of that smoke, they are affecting everyone around them. So if the smoker is around more than 1 person, he would be hurting the others more than himself IMO. So if the smokers can smoke off on their own with few people around, they won't be affecting everyone else as much. In general, the smokers seem to be more at risk because they smoke so often and it's hard, even after they stop if they did, to get back to normal.
  12. Those are pretty interesting and I have heard of very few of those. People must be bored to do things like that. There are funny to laugh at though. It's amazing how simple things can trick many people. I don't now how anyone can fall for these, they are all too unrealistic.By the way SM, I hope you aren't getting any ideas from these pranks.
  13. I agree with Tetraca. All dreams are good. Dreaming is a good way to escape from the world and think about things that may be good or bad. Maybe you need to clear your mind before you sleep. You have to look at the positive sides of dreams, because there is always a good and bad. For example, when you were dreaming of something really great, you enjoyed yourself while dreaming. Then you woke up and realized it would never happen. Or maybe you have a bad dream. Then you wake up and realized it didn't happen and are glad. See what I mean? You have to focus on the positives and not let dreaming interfere with your life. Dreaming is just a way for your brain to bring out your feelings of embarrassment or joy. As you go about in life, try not to think about the negatives so you won't fear them in your dream. That's what dreams feed off of. Your fear. For example, I think we have all dreamed about going to school with no clothes on of failing a test. In real life, you have probably thought of that too, but you just push it aside because you know it won't happen.Hopefully that helps and I didn't confuse you too much.

    Hello

Welcome to Xisto! We would all love to know more about you! I'm husker (AKA evil corn) and I'm 15. Are you planning on getting hosted here? I've been hosted here for about a year and I love it! Everyone here is very kind and considerate. Have fun here at Xisto and read the rules!!
  15. I'm going with Spiderman also. There are some people that just don't like Pirates of the Caribbean. I love both of the movies personally. It seems that Spiderman has grab more movie goers because it was a famous comic. It's mainly fighting too, which people tend to like. I heard it didn't get good reviews, but I think it will still will grab the most money.Harry Potter will beat both of them as serverph said!
  16. I've heard this problem before. When he chose the door the first time, the odds were 1/3 that he was right. Then one of the wrong doors is revealed, and the probability would seemingly be 1/2. But I think for some reason you should go with the other door because the probability that door is right is really 1/2 and the other was just 1/3? I can't remember, it's something similar to that. It's very interesting to look at and try to understand.Edit: Nevermind my reasoning, rvalkass has it correct.
  17. Lol, that's funny. He must have had his mitt close to his head for the ball to bounce and hit his head. I haven't had that happen to me in my experiences of playing catch. Don't be too harsh on your brother, he may try to get the same thing to happen to you. Enjoy your birthday and send me some cake!
  18. This doesn't surprise me at all. Like reelkill said, exercise has been proven to make you happier. Most of the people in my math class (smart class) are involved in some type of sport it seems. This is good news, because I typically get a lot of exercise. Exercise is probably the best thing you can do for your body. If we all exercised, everyone would be smarter and happier!
  19. I liked to take the easy route. Just the typical sports-baseball, basketball, football. It's good to take risks though. If you didn't, you're life would be boring! There's nothing wrong with having fun doing extreme sports! It's good that hurting yourself doesn't keep you down either, because that means you have a true passion for it. I say enjoy yourself and don't worry about your addiction, just let it be!
  20. I liked COD 3, but it really isn't that different from COD 2. The main different is you can actually drive around cars and shoot people in them. There are different maps of course. The graphics are a lit better, but that's about it. Don't spend too much money on it.
  21. Spiderman 3 definitely, along with Shrek 3 and probably Harry Potter. Can't think of any other movies I have heard of that will be coming out lately, but those sound like they will be good.
  22. Lol, I love it. Great site SM. I recommend all who thinks they can take the evilness to visit this site, as it awesomeness of awesome. It's great to be evil Those must have been some big 2 minutes for you SM!
  23. I use it too and it works great. Just another reason why firefox rocks
  24. I think the texture plays a role too. I don't know very many people that find green, mushy guacamole very tasty. Yellow never seemed like an appetizing color to me. Maybe you think of some yellow food that tasted bad and that's why you don't eat it? I don't know. A bigger plate always makes me eat more because there is more food, and I feel like I shouldn't leave a lot left one the plate. It would certainly be an interesting topic to study.
  25. I don't think anyone likes the search being 4 or more letters. When they are 10 pages or so of posts, there's no need to read them all because they are probably about something general like, "What's your favorite color?" I like to read the recent posts on the bottom of the index page (or any other page). Since it's relatively new, there is usually very few posts already in the subject to read. There is about 20 posts per day so it shouldn't be overwhelming. Honestly, when posts are really really long, I tend not to read them and not to reply (due to laziness ). Try searching for a couple of minutes before you post, using words similar to the name of what your topic is just to make sure that it hasn't been posted. If you do duplicate a topic, the moderators aren't too harsh and you will probably get just a warning. Everyone has made mistakes on here, yes, even me!
