Hiding <div> Boxes With Javascript Javascript Help #1
FirefoxRocks replied to FirefoxRocks's topic in Programming
That is sort of what I'm looking for.Could you make it so that the box can slide in and out of the "Text Here" thing? That would make it look neat and attractive. If noone else comes up with another code, I will use what's there. -
I have noticed a lot of grammar mistakes in your post, which Blacklaser has pointed out.No I do not think Cynical is a big word.It is a tendency to correct things during teen years, as my mom says, "Teens think they have lots of power". Which I somewhat agree but...Anyways, I just turned 13 .

Dell Laptop Explodes - Leads To Major Recall
FirefoxRocks replied to Plenoptic's topic in General Discussion
It was just on the news this morning I saw it on TV as well I heard it on Q104 news. 4.1 million laptops recalled due to an overheating battery and risk of fire and explosion hazard. All laptops manufactured from April 2004 to May 2006 will need to be recalled for safety concerns. Haven't heard anything else, I'll edit if I do. -
This is my first help post in this Java/JavaScript section. Can someone write/find me a piece of code that will hide <div> boxes? Preferred stuff: There is a bar that has the subtitle of the <div> box contents. A button on the right side of the bar shows and hides the div box. Contents are in a box with a border and slides in and out of the bar smoothly and relatively quickly. Box MUST be customizable using CSS internal/external stylesheets. Any help would be appreciated. All codes will be tested and best code be selected.

You can IM offline buddies on Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger 8 and also AOL Instant Messaging.Method 1 and 3 on the website works. Method 4 is NOT compatible with Yahoo! Messenger 7 and 8. Method 2 doesn't load the correct window after entering the username. Thanks for the website.

Yahoo! Messenger 3.0 BETA??When it comes to IMing, I prefer (in order): Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk, Trillian, AIM, IM2.When it comes to VOIP, I like Skype. Skype has clear voice quality and can make calls to regular phones in Canada and USA for free until December 31, 2006.Everyone is different, download IM2 for maximum compatibility, Yahoo! Messenger + Windows Live Messenger for maximum functionality.

Pretty nice WAP. I think it will be too cluttered on a cell phone to read the data. By the way, I don't have a cell phone -
Help With Making My Sites Content Work On Opera Object and Embed Tag Help
FirefoxRocks replied to BooZker's topic in Software
Why can't law enforcement and government agency enter the site? Just wondering, I'm 13 so I didn't enter the site, probably wouldn't want to anyways, sounds shocking.Anyways, Opera is a tricky browser to deal with when creating web sites. Your best option is to use JavaScript when designing the pages with videos in it. -
Then again, this doesn't work.eBay has many risks including:- no bids- lowered feedback rating- buyer not sending the money- seller not sending the item- item gets broken, etc.The list can continue a little more.Even though this deals with eBooks, I doubt you can make a profit from this.BEWARE of given site.

Megaupload Reduced Their Download Limit Again! [resolved]
FirefoxRocks replied to DogEater008's topic in General Discussion
I don't recommend using Download services (file upload services). It feels uneasy to upload files to an unknown server that I don't know of.You can try to share files legally (with permission) on P2P networks. -

Dell Laptop Explodes - Leads To Major Recall
FirefoxRocks replied to Plenoptic's topic in General Discussion
Exploding laptops?I'm not buying a laptop for a while now. I have a Dell Dimension Desktop but currently not interested in laptop computers. They are portable and conveinient, but not a priority in my life as of now. -
So far a lot of browsers are not common targets for hijacking.Internet Explorer 6 and older are prime targets for attack.IE 7, Firefox, Netscape, Opera, Mozilla, Avant Browser, Maxthon, SeaMonkey and other less common browsers are not targets for attack, even though Internet Explorer 7 BETA is more common for a target.By the way, can you manually change your DNS server?

First of all, I never heard of Google Rank.If you are referring to PageRank, are you referring to the PageRank icon in the Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer/Google Toolbar for Firefox?Or is it that your site's PageRank isn't working? Please explain more.

It happens when I play Neopets and X-Kings too. I keep attacking/depositing but there is no gold/NP on there anymore :)Check for new information is set to Every 5 Minutes, I'll try Automatic option and see if that helps.Maybe I'll turn off disk caching. That will solve the problem greatly. Also, if you want to override cache reload, you can always press Shift+F5 to redownload the page.

I prefer ZipGenius over 7-Zip, WinZip and WinRAR. ZipGenius is better than WinZip and WinRAR because it is a combination of the both programs and it is freeware, not shareware for 45 or 30 days (even though the program is accessible after that). ZipGenius' interface is clean and simple, newbie friendly and easy to use. 7-Zip has a dull interface and very confusing to start out. I uninstalled it after a few hours. ZipGenius can be found on SnapFiles, Download.com and at its website. Give it a try and maybe you'll like it.

A little off-topic, but still related:Anyone find a Windows Vista Theme compatible with Windows 98/Windows 98 Second Edition? I'm looking for one currently but I can't seem to find any :DIf you find one, please let me know!

I prefer Mozilla Firefox and Opera over Internet Explorer. However, I still use Mozilla (SeaMonkey), Netscape, Avant Browser, and Maxthon. If you don't want to run Microsoft services in Internet Explorer, try using Maxthon or Avant Browser, they are much safer.Anyways, I use all browsers regularly, except Internet Exploder.

It didn't work on my computer. Neither the computer or hard drive sped up.To speed up you boot time, download TuneXP.Click on Ultra-Fast Boot and it will rearrange your Boot Files so it boots a few seconds faster. That worked for me.

Thunderbird, Gmail Problem cant download all my gmail messages in TB
FirefoxRocks replied to rldowling03's topic in Software
First of all, I don't recommend the use of Microsoft Outlook Express. Try disabling POP3 downloading on your GMail account and then try to download the emails. It will probably not work, so re-enable it about maybe a day later. Have you tried reconfiguring Mozilla Thunderbird? That might help a little, but I don't think it will be successful. Also, you could disable any proxy servers (if necessary), run Thunderbird in Safe Mode or uninstall Thunderbird (keep your current profile) and then just put the profile back. Make sure you have Thunderbird 1.5.0.5. If you don't, download it here. I have GMail (2 accounts) and Mozilla Thunderbird and it seems to be working fine (since version 1.5).
