Thanks for the feedback, its good news it works fine in opera, thats everything pretty much tested.Looking at that link you showed, it does seem a nice idea to get rid of my tables and use the css / divs more throughout.Trouble is, I'm really not familiar with div's that much nor am I the most able css coder, I'll see what can be done though :PP.S. What is the difference between xhtml and standard html?
  2. Hi, I just finished setting up a new design for my site and got it successfully validated too yippee! Anyway I used css, along with a couple of embedded css lines for my pages (mainly in order to get them to validate! - darn background tag is not allowed! ) I'd appreciate it if you guys could tell me what you think of the design / text and link colour scheme, and anything else you reckon I could improve on... All pages are there, and now there is content on every page... yay! Also, if someone would be able to see what it looks like in opera browser, and maybe anyone with a mac on safari, thatd be great! It displays how I like it in firefox, and also looks fine in internet explorer, so comparisons to firefox (preferred) or internet explorer please http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Thanks James.

  4. Hi, sorry to just come in and ask for some help but here goes: I am designing the cover for publication of a series of brass music. I have designed the main cover, taken the photo and edited the entire thing myself, I have attached a small jpeg (A.jpg) to help anyone visualise the context of the design..!! Now, I have already had a go and tried to do this myself but anything I tried looked rubbish so i'm certain the trap community can do 20 times better. My trombone teacher, who I'm doing it for, would like a bass clef in the logo design. for those of you who don't know what this is the squiggly thing shown in the logo is a treble clef and this is an image of a bass clef: A quick search on google can retrieve thousands of these. What I need doing is the treble clef either replaced with a similar colour, design bass clef or if you can fit a bass clef neatly on the logo that would also be fine. Preferably the same colour as the stuff on there already... IF YOU ARE HAPPY TO TRY THIS FOR ME PLEASE PM ME AND I WILL EMAIL YOU THE PHOTOSHOP OR OTHER FILE TYPE(S) IF I CAN THAT YOU WOULD LIKE!! The Photoshop Files I have are CS2 and I can save as previous versions. It is in layers, NOT flattened, although the treble clef / circular logo is one entire part of it. Clone stamping or just brushing things out would be fine! please do not copy or reproduce these elsewhere. As this is my work and its to be published it means a lot! (plus I'm not getting paid for it so y'no don't wanna get ripped off!!!!!!!) thanks very much, any help appreciated! James.

That stuff looks really niceIn regard to the length of the storage life, the technical details on the site claim a 50-year archive life.That would be more than enough to be able to simply migrate the data onto another storage device, which by then would be much larger.The new technologies look good
  6. Ah yes! a good point... you are right that meteorites contain traces of water, in fact most do as an ice formation. This is what forms the tail that you can see behind the comets; but as you rightly worded it space is not a complete vacuum, another things is that this is not liquid state "water". good point, but not what I was looking for. Unfortunately as it is I have to say you may be right its without air, although I'm not sure as plenty of dictionary definitions say things like but luckily for me, space without air is what I was going on all along anyway, I just worded it wrong.   7. That is extremely scary, not that theyd want or would put the effort into hijacking "normal" people's computers but still... This could easily get turned around by hackers I reckon... I will be looking out for more news: has anyone visited https://www.cryptonym.com/ in the past whilst it was working, I followed it from a link on the one about the third key from here! It appears that they have been shut down! all you get is a message on their home page and every other page does not exist... interesting, itd be nice to know what happened to them!

WOW!: 2000, thats1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23....all the way to 2300+hurts to think about :| that is certainly a lot and it doesn't really hit you until you write out the entire list to 200 how many that actually was.Do you happn to know if he was hospitalised by this as you would lose so much energy from this I doubt he'd be able to walk after for weeks! :PMy standard number is about 15-20 I can do, i get little exercise at all and don't train, although I was into rock climbing a year or so ago... and was pretty good at one stage, I think thats where it came from. If you wanna get strong legs / arms and just generally get a little bit of exercise withought doing boring stuff like running a few kms on a treadmill or spendiing hours in the gym, rock climing is the way to go. If you have a friend to challenge with and pick difficult routes that are hard for both of you its the best!anyway... I reckon if I trained for a bit I could get to 50 but I'd be seriously slowing down at the end. The 15-20 I can do it fairly casually without breaking much of a sweat at all!!oh and I can barely do press-ups! a friend of mine is the opposite way round to me, he can do two pull-ups and struggles much on number 3, but he can do 40 pressups with reasonable effort.I think it just depends how you train / just generally use your muscles. Rock climbing promotes pullup style strength and you don't really use pressup skills...

Its clean and looks good, I can see it working.One small suggestion is to change the red title banner, I say this because it kinda make it look like one of those slightly "untrustworthy" sites that was done quick to reel people in!... maybe try a tint that changes from left to right or not just a square edged title bar!I don't mind if you keep it as it is though! its nice.good job

  13. Please do elaborate, i'm afraid I do not see your logic. I would argue there is little difference between the two situations you mentioned, in fact they are almost one and the same. Generally a slow and painful death is what could be considered going through life unhappy to the mind of someone contemplating suicide. most of you talk about life being the preicious thing it is seen to be, and it appears that you cannot grasp why anyone would want to end such a wonderful gift, but take a look from another perspective: this is gonna be difficult to explain, so please bear with me as it may not come out as I intend; the main question is, "what is life" is it something going on somewhere on one tiny place in a vast expanse that goes on for infinity or until the end of time. where, like mini beings we cover a small place, where we wander around doing whatever we see fit. We can see little going on around us, it is our little planet and we are the most important...?! life in the scheme of things is the same as death. whilst someone living may take their life, someone inevitably has died of natural causes in the grand scheme of things around the same time. Time just keeps going on and whatever happens to us really does not make one tiniest bit of difference, only it seems, to us. What I'm trying to say here is that life comes with death only with a space of time in between. when there is life there is going to be death. what really is 30 years cut short to ONE of those ants that are scurrying around on th planet that would have otherwise lived to 80, in the span of time, or endlessness. We don't know if there is a time, if there is a constant cycle of everything. We merely came up with "time" to get around the fact that it goes on forever, not just forever, but forever that keeps getting larger and never stops. I was going to just delete this post, as it seems I cannot expain it myself how I meant at all really, But I have decided to leave it as it may be interesting to someone. Please bear in mind it is not finished and doesn't appear to make much sense. try detaching yourself from what we see all the time and work out what everything is, or how it got there.! - that may give you a different outlook on things...

I reckon you (and maybe her too) might regret it slightly if you don't send anything.A card would be a nice thing to do, plus, don't worry about her taking it too hard as everyone sends cards, not just on valentines day.All I could recommend is that you don't put anything too personal in it, just something kind, but not intrusive.Just make sure whatever goes in it is appropriate, then it may make you two just better friends. (which is a good thing right!!?)

I've had cellos for about 10 years now, granted theyre not the same size as violins, but theyre similar!here is some stuff that should help you:when you store the bow - store it untightened so all the hairs aren't stretched tight.keep it in a case, you'd probably find that keeping the bow in the case too is a good idea.The case should keep out mites dust etc.every once in a while wipe the dust / rosin (stuff that goes on the bow) off with a duster to keep it niceAND FINALLY, AN IMPORTANT THING:If you will be storing it / living in a fairly hot, dry area or even if its mildly warm is an extremely good idea to by a DEHUMIDIFIER for the violin (you can get them in almost any string music shop.Basically this is a little spongy thing in some rubbery casing that you soak in water and it gradually releases water mositure over time so the violin / cello does not dry up and crack!!! just sit this in your case along with the violin and bow!And don't worry too much about it, most have survived over 100 years unless new ofc, so theyll just keep on going!hoped this helped

  18. Amen, brother! It all comes back to the different beliefs that just don't get along, hell this entire thread goes back to that.... Nature will win. It is the driving force of everything. sooner or later man and woman will be wiped out, stray comet, floods, hell even the earth imploding. Either we kill us or nature does. Its inevitable. And so nature will win, it will far outlast us and anything else that feels it may be "better". Just leave it and get along.

I think the general consencus is that WOW is an amazing, epic and extremely fun game (to most people) - I think this is mostly due to the other people around the game - not just computer controlled characters.You could play for years It is ridiculously addictive. I used to play it so damn much. I have been sober from it for bout 3 months as well, I reckon I played it over the course of a year or two... the time just passed - didn't see it go!Trouble is, once you've played it it makes all other games you've played seem boring or just so linear, that makes you just want to go and sign up for another taster...! I think I was lucky. I managed to squeeze in so much playing in so much of a non-important time (surrounded by important stuff) like right before my gcse's - still got 8A* and 2A grades;I played it so much, it wasn't fun anymore, yet I still needed to play. The only reason I managed to get off it is It just got boring. - oh and the game is endless - so many places. It is epic in its own right.My friend who started playing, I told him, make sure you don't get addicted. he said "no chance" i'll only be playing it for 20 or so mins each night. Now hes totally into it, so I can say - told you so! It does seem to be screwing him over too.So yeah. Go for it, if you can control yourself!!!! Its harder than it looks

  21. ffanatics that sounds like a cool gizmo, would you mind linking to any software like that that would let me do it please? I searched for wifi sniffer in google but couldn't find any software... maybe its a hardware device? I would say the same as everyone else on the issue - not wrong as long as you don't download huge files. e.g. taking on msn or casually browsing non-image intensive sites, checking email is fine... You often find unencrypted ones at airports that are for your use that are perfectly acceptable to do whatever you want with them, provided you comply with their rules - often a terms and conditions appears that you have to agree to use it

  23. i love COD2 have it for xbox 360, and I completed all the achievements. Basically it didn't take that long, I completed the game twice, once on normal and then on veteran all the way through Some levels were very tricky on veteran, especially when you get a checkpoint and you have to do it exactly right to get out of wherever you got it! It did not take "too" long overall, and most were fun too. one or two levels were frustrating though. stick with it! I shall add your gamertag later if you want to play! BushFluff is mine btw
  24. its a current account - goes to anyone over 16! This is not the same as a credit card. It is a debit card, that works wherever a visa credit card is accepted, but with no interest charged or no risk of going overdrawn... its great!
  25. LOL! very amusing. Might be worth starting an account with Lloyds TSB then, their interest is the highest of all the under 18/19 accounts from other banks by a mile! I'm still waiting for my pin number so I can use it :E looks nice in my wallet though
