My girlfriend, D, is moving. She's going to be moving to a small town around two hours away, and we'll be meeting up on the weekends. This is going to be rough on our relationship, I can already tell, but I know we can get through this. I'm seeking advice and some tips on how to keep long distance relationships good. We both have school during the weekdays. What can I do to keep the relationship good? I can see how seeing each other once a week can cause a lot of stress and tension in our relationship, but there have to be good ways to prevent it? We'll be talking to each other via phone or computer every day, and we're both great communicators and explain how we're feeling without problems. That should help a lot as to not getting in fights.. but what else can we do?

I live in Texas, and her parents won't allow her to move in with me, I've already asked. It's pretty hard to be moving your junior year, especially.But yeah, in less than two years time she will be moving out of her parent's house and in with me, or so we have planned.

My girlfriend is moving in around a month. She's going to some hick town around two hours away, and her parents won't give her any other choice. Her mom is going to be staying here, working a night job, and then my girlfriend and her STEPdad are going to be down in some tiny little town where he's going to teach. My girlfriend's older sister and uncle both live with the mom, and they won't allow her to stay there. They're so tunnel visioned and won't listen to what she has to say, and it makes me want to knock some sense into them. They're so ignorant when it comes to their daughter's feelings, and it's really effecting her life. Her birthday was two days ago, and her parents forgot about it. They didn't wish her a happy birthday until the next day, and didn't think it would matter to her if it were a day late or not. Her parents piss me off so much, they need to realize they're messing with their daughter's life, she's going to be a junior in a brand new highschool in some new school at only has 150 attending. She's going to have to leave pretty much her entire life behind, and then at that, it's going to hurt our relationship, because I'll only be able to drive out and see her on weekends. Stupid parents, they need to learn something about parenting.

Cheating.. blah. Anyone who cheats on their partner is a horrible person. I can't understand why someone would do it, it's just ridiculous. If you want to be with another partner, that's dishonest and distrustful. Cheating needs to stop, people don't understand the negative effects until it's too late.

Haha, this made me chuckle a bit. Reminds me of Dodgeball the movie, you know the pants he wore? Haha. I can see this happening in the future though.. When I'm old and senile that will be the hip fad that all the kids are doing.

Alright, I'm meeting my girlfriend's father this Sunday. His attitude towards me is already very negative, according to my girlfriend. He is around 280 pounds, 6'7", and he used to box professionally. I'm fairly intimidated by him, and I haven't met him yet. Could someone give me some suggestions on how to act around him to reduce the hostility and show him that I'm a good person?

I need help with some PHP, once again. What I'm wanting to do is add something to an external database from a remote site. Say we are using the script farsiscript posted (here), and there's an added feature where it saves the information to a database, and it's on a different server. I want people to be on my site, enter the variables, and have the information submitted without knowing anything about the external site. Also, would there be a way of confirming whether the information was submitted, or if there was an error? Like if the result said "Thank you!" would there be a way of displaying "success" on my page? Or the same thing with an error. I've tried using fopen and some other tags to do this, but I've had no success. Help would be appreciated!

The Xisto server does not support SSL. To get SSL, you're probably going to need to go out and buy it. However, I may be wrong, if so, someone please correct me.

I found this out the other day . I have a myspace, and I use myspace because it's useful. I've found a bunch of old friends that I lost contact with because I moved. It's easy to use once you get the hang of it, and I think the main reason I like it is because I can find people who are on pretty much any time of the day. Now if you're going out and meeting with a sex predator, shame on you. You shouldn't meet with anyone that you've met online, because chances are that half the things the person said are lies.

It's not a bad book at all, it's actually pretty good, and fairly short at that. I read it a few years ago and it would be really easy to just go ahead and read the book. I remember my incoming freshman year I had to read three books, and they were all extremely long and boring, so be happy . Sparknotes won't work after a while.. you're probably going to have to write essays and such, and sparknotes don't have that much detail.

I don't think they mean Ramones and The Clash, but more recent stuff.. I'm into oldschool type punk , like Ramones, The Clash, Circle Jerks, etc, and not too much of the newer stuff.. some ska here and there too.

Hmm, sounds like you've been ready a few too many Isaac Asimov books. I really doubt that robots will ever be a serious danger. Of course there may be a couple of fatalities do to a rogue person doing serious modification of a robot or something, but the machines we have now cause deaths anyway. We're still in the beginning development of robots and such machines, so we will see what happens in the future. They will most likely be wired with rules and such (read that in an Asimov book..) to prevent injury.

BOAW, I would suggest getting more affiliates, and join some topsites. Add more content to your website, and make it easier for users to navigate. I was slightly confused at times as to where I was. You won't be able to have a large amount of people visiting your site unless you provide them with dynamic content, and update often. Add some jokes, pictures, and such to make it more interesting, and go out and find affiliates. Join link exchange programs, Xisto has one, if you haven't joined that yet.

My vote goes to Avalon. I like the smoothness, and the swirls in the background.. It's the most visually appealing.
