  1. I did not make this; however, I did help with the rendering and I am the big face smoking in the picture (it's a cigarette). EDIT: Sorry, I guess I should've posted this in the other>large/3D section!
  2. Well, for all of those old folks that remember me, I'm back to posting on trap. The last time I visited here was over a year ago (infact, the front page said it was March 2nd, 2008), and there have been a ton of changes! wow! Anyway, I'm a 19 year old college student at the University of Oklahoma. I'm majoring in electrical engineering and I'm from Fort Worth, Texas. I like running, working on cars, being with friends and family, sailing, and a plethora of other things. I used to be a moderator here, but after I had to get away from the computer for a while I was brought back down from moderator status. So who all remembers me?! And especially if you don't know me, post here because I like to make new friends.
  3. jlhaslip, thanks for the suggestions. I'll definitely look into them and post back on the possibilities I will find.Andres, the main reason I bought this car is because I found a good deal on it. My last car was a 3.8L engine. I'm mainly driving the car on the highway every weekend around roughly 350 miles. The mileage (somewhere around 27) is not too bad on the highway, and actually buying an air intake kit not only increases the horsepower, but the fuel economy too. I suppose I am like many other Americans and I'm very image driven. I want to be able to floor my gas pedal when I'm bored on an empty stretch of highway and feel myself being pushed back into my seat. I don't want to drive in a car that's boring for five hours a week. I would much rather be entertained and exhilarated the whole time.
  4. So I just bought a 1999 Chrysler Sebring, after my old car (1996 Buick Park Avenue) was totaled in a car accident. The Sebring has the V6 engine, but it is only a 2.5L, which makes it fairly wimpy. I want to increase the performance of the car, even if only slightly. I know two easy things are to get an air intake kit and get a new exhaust system. Should I get the cold air intake, ram air intake, or just replace my air filter with a k&n air filter? Are the offbrand products, which cost a lot less, of similar quality to the namebrand products? What products would you suggest that I try?
  5. Wow! I can't believe this topic is still active after 3+ years! Anyway, no problem to everyone who's said thanks.
  6. Just a few pictures I took in downtown Dallas, near the farmer's market. I take a wide variety of pictures, from football and other sport events to concerts, so I'll post some more interesting ones in the future. Obviously, if anyone wishes to use these, ask permission first, and give credit where it's due..
  7. Yay Xisto! i've been here quite a while, and this site is successful as any other!
  8. Awesome. The cPanel username will help with support a lot, and the insignia should bring more attention to the graphics crew and spam patrol.Good job Buff.

  11. Yeah, high altitude training is definitely something one would want to do, but not everyone has control of where they can train.I've heard of high altitude simulation tents, where it lowers the oxygen levels, and while sleeping, your body adapts itself to a higher level of altitude.
  12. Alright, if anyone on here is a competitive runner like myself, you know there are several different types of training for running. You have paavo, Lyriard based, many other styles, and mixes between each. Generally during the summer and winter, you want to build your mileage base for the next season. I've written a schedule for myself for the winter break, and one for females as well. Each day the runner should lift weights and keep their upper body in shape, toned, not building a lot of muscle. Boys Saturday - Dec. 23 - Long run 8-10 miles or 70 minutes group run Sunday - Dec. 24 - 6 miles or 50 minutes on your own Monday - Dec. 25 - Christmas OFF, or run your own recovery run Tuesday - Dec. 26 - 8 miles or 55 minutes on your own Wednesday - Dec. 27 - 8 mile or 55 minute fartlek, 3 minutes fast pace, two minutes recovery pace group run Thursday - Dec. 28 - eight miles or 55 minutes group run Friday - Dec. 29 - 8 miles, 2 mile warm up, 4 mile tempo (steady state, keep the same pace for four miles), two mile warm down on your own Repeat workout for next week, new years off/recovery run Girls Saturday - Dec. 23 - Long run 6-8 miles or 55 minutes group run Sunday - Dec. 24 - 5 miles or 40 minutes on your own Monday - Dec. 25 - Christmas OFF, or run your own recovery run Tuesday - Dec. 26 - 7 miles or 50 minutes on your own Wednesday - Dec. 27 - 7 mile or 50 minute fartlek, 3 minutes fast pace, two minutes recovery pace group run Thursday - Dec. 28 - 7 miles or 50 minutes group run Friday - Dec. 29 - 7 miles, 2 mile warm up, 3 mile tempo (steady state, keep the same pace for four miles), two mile warm down on your own Repeat workout for next week, new years off/recovery run This should build a runner's base up, and make longer runs less challenging. After break, start doing some intervals and do slowly put faster track workouts into the schedule. This should build a runner for track and help them become efficient from the 800-3200 meter runs.
  13. I'd say don't worry about it. Many, many people have skinny wrists - and 5'4 and 90 pounds is pretty skinny. I'd just say try not to be too self-conscious, because there's not a whole lot you can do. You can work out, and try to gain muscle, but wrists are generally proportional to the rest of the body, so you'd have to gain weight to increase the size of your wrists.
  14. Surprisingly, we have 20 people over 1000 posts o_o. Buffalo lives in.. Buffalo! That's waaay far away, and I'm pretty sure I won't be going to NY any time soon .Buffalo is never at his house anyway, I'm sure he could travel to each of us individually if he went out of his way a little on his business trips..
  15. As long as we all meet at my house.. of course! I'll even provide snacks and drinks . Although your suggestion is good in nature.. I doubt half of us would find the time or money. We're too busy moderating Trap, you know? :rolleyes:My car would break down after driving for five hours, and I'm not buying a plane ticket *cheap*. I doubt the meeting place would be within five hours.. and if it is, I might go.. haha.I live in the DFW area of Texas, if anyone cares to know..
  16. I would personally have it changed.. I know Xisto has a special meaning to opaque, and that it's earned a reputation on the internet for webhosting and forum posting, but honestly, I don't see it as too catchy. I don't have any suggestions for a domain name, but I could see a positive effect of changing the name. The domain name Xisto sounds like it's free hosting, or some cheap redirect.
  17. I've had the same problem tdktank59, it's most likely your ISP blocking the site, or some type of firewall. I can't think of what else it could be, because the domain responds properly for everyone else.
  18. Sunday morning I was out fixing my car (a bolt fell off of my water pump pulley, causing the belt that powers the water and power steering pump to stop) and I looked at my phone, thinking it had updated automatically. I had to be at work at 11, and it was 10:50. I closed my hood, ran inside, changed, and started to call my neighbor to see if I could get a ride, and then looked at my cable clock and saw that it was 9:50. I went outside and fixed my car, and got to work perfectly on time
  19. Happy birthday, and I'm going to guess jhaslip is 53 today.. just a wild guess.
  20. Motley Crue used to live in the apartment next to me. I was only like four years old so I don't remember it, but my parents tell me it was pretty cool.. =/
  21. My prayers will be with him. Be strong OpaQue, it's hard to see a friend like this.
  22. I've read both, they're good books. Can you believe Paolini was 17 when he started Eragon? I'm waiting for the third book as well.. can't wait until it's finished. You'll enjoy Eldest, it carries well throughout. If you like these, I'd suggest reading the Amber Chronicals as well, it's a ten book fantasy series. Great read.
