  1. the girls want to convince me now? i'm the one who did all the research. in fact, most women i talked to were drinking at the time. it's amazing how alcohol acts like truth serum. i have to say with all honesty that most women will admit they are bi right away if i can get them in a comfortable environment and ask or tell them. most WILL agree so there is no convincing me about actual facts because i already tested my theory. all women? naw. but most? yes. i say all women because it's fun to say hahaha what's interesting is that web designer doesn't agree that women are evil BUT sheepdog agrees that women ARE in fact evil. how is that backing eachother up? ;)ohhhh and as far as what nirv said about makup, i have to agree 100% because if i wanted to date a clown, i would go to the circus. i've dated 3 women in my whole life. they were all pretty long relationships. in fact, i don't regret a single one. they all taught me something different. the first one i dated liked to put foundation on. not just a little, a lot! i told her straight up. you plan on putting that stuff on, i ain't kissin' ya. i was serious. makup to me is a total turnoff. a dab here or a dab there i guess is ok but i still don't know why it's needed. it's part of our cultures and i don't even know why. it's just totally unnatural looking. especially with blue eye shadow or black lipstick. i mean what parts of the body do those colors even blend in to?!? no doubt that women who wear makup are insecure. that is just a given. if a women isn't wearing their makeup, they feel empty an not complete. what's the first thing they say when a surprise visitor comes to the door? "i don't even have any makup on! i look terrible". when i was living with my wife, i told her the same exact thing i told my first girlfriend when she would put excessive lipstick on because she knew i didn't like it and would try to kiss me. i told her "if you put that on, don't expect me to kiss you". it's as simple as that. i didn't intend to date or marry any clown and i made it clear that i prefer natural beauty. i don't even understand tattoos and piercings. what's up with destroying your bodies or even dying your hair. everything to make you look different.i used to get crap from my friends because they all wanted me to dress nicer. i would always wear jeans and a t-shirt and usually one of them had a hole in it. they wanted for me to date more and attract women. haha did i care? nope! i dressed naturally and comfortably and i knew that i didn't want to ever be fake in who i am in attracting someone that was wrong for me because i couldn't be myself. in fact, i never had a problem with women so i didn't know what they were getting at unless they were tired of seeing a hole in my clothes and and used the opposite sex as an excuse.seriously now. i just won the dr. phil wannabe award and i did see that dr. phil show a while back about women who were insecure and the things they would do to try to cover it up. but this was after i was starting the whole debate about women and their toe nails. also, somewhere on this thread, there is a topic about the psychology of colors so i also find it interesting the colors they choose to paint themselves with.but makup really is a whole different area that i was talking about originally. i was talking about toe nails and the part of the body that is usually covered up for nobody to notice anyway, but they still paint them because THEY know and it doesn't matter if anyone else knows. i wanted to point out the subtle signs of insecurities that women don't want guys to know about.i appreciate sheepdog in being honest about women being evil. i am sorta disappointed in the "hell no" comment about women being bi. i think she needs to really think about it and come back with a more realistic opinion. she's a woman in fact and knows better than a "hell no" comment. to be so direct and blunt and one sided tells something thought so it was an interesting response. web designer on the other hand, she had to google "bi" because she didn't know what it was haha. it's funny to me that she had to google it but what's even more interesting is that she responded before she even knew what it meant. so....please women....more objective responses please because i can notice the slightest things that others dont. iut's a gift so don't plan on fooling me anytime soon
  2. oh. colors impacts EVERYONE. that is just a fact. i believe in it 100% anyone who says colors don't affect them are lying to themselves. usually the same colors will have the same affect on everyone. there are exceptions to everything though just like different drugs sometimes affect people differently.when i was learning web design, it wasn't something i studied. colors and how they affect people so depending on what your site is about, a good web designer will always know which colors would be appropriate. some colors bring people down. some colors bring people up. believe it or not, in web designing, some colors will get people to buy your product at a higher percentage than if you used a different color. speaking of web design, there is also a psychology on ad placement as well. there is a psychology to EVERYTHING. to me, it's almost a science and very interesting.i remember when i went to jail because some cop was using excessive force on someone and got charged with a felony for pushing this cop away from someone he was injuring with ecessive force. a really sad situation to witness where a small town cop can get away with literally anything, but anyway, i went to jail. what color was the jail cells? PINK! everything was pink because pink is a calming color and believe it or not, the study for that one jailhouse proved that there was less violence when using that color. anyway, i find the psychology of colors to be VERY interesting and even the combination of colors and what they actually represent. the average person has no clue that colors can be very controlling when used properly.
  3. hahaha! you know what that sounded like? i had a flashback of the movie "the hangover" where the guy was talking about being a sole wolf pack and his wolf pack grew by one. it was actually one of the funniest movies i've ever seen. this is off topic, but anyone who hasn't seen that movie HAS to go out and watch it! the comedy never stops in that movie with VERY good acting. anyway, i will respond to sheepdog later. i am too tired. been up all night again... but i wouldn't believe the "hell no" statement about being bi. a lot of women like to cover up certain things. it's one of those characteristics that actually makes them evil remember. they are very good manipulators at heart to get their way
  4. i agree with you to a point. in fact, here in the united states we are in fact allowed to carry guns as long as they are visable. ccw permits are harder to get though depending on the county you live in. i think anyone who buys a gun though should be required to take a training course. it's a deadly weapon and too many people own guns that don't know how to use them. it's like handing over a license to drive to someone that doesn't know how to drive. also, why would anyone want the right to match fire power with fire power. that gets even more dangerous for those who don't know how to use a weapon properly or protect it from someone stealing it or even a child finding it. also, chances are likely that someone that is assaulting you doesn't have an oozie. the only people really affected by not being able to protect themselves properly are felons. they aren't even allowed to own a hand gun even if they only wrote a bad check for over $500. that is considered a felony. the person doesn't even have to be dangerous if society dictates that they give up rights from owning a hand gun or voting, etc if they commited a very mild criminal act which could have only been done out of survival puposes to put food on a families plate. so i really do believe everyone should be able to protect themselves, with limits because not everyone is qualified to use a weapon and take the proper precautions to use AND own own safely and legally. legally meaning don't be shooting someone on your property just because you're paranoid. safey can include many things and i believe that everyone should go through a week training class and be certified which would include when the right time is when you can branish a weapon or even point it at someone without firing a bullet. now if i am taking things literally where a person should have a right to match fire power with fire power, we might as well legalize grenades or even booby traps around our house with a warning sign in front. we aren't living in a dirty harry movie so most gun control laws don't even affect the average citizen. what's funny to me though is i used to go camping/hiking/fishing a lot in yellowstone national park. national parks have a law that you cannot carry any sort of gun in to a park. that's not the funny part. in yellowstone, there are a lot of bears including grizzlies which are actually growing in population and seen more and more by the tourists. well there was one incident where a big grizzly started coming in to a tent because it smelled food. the guy inside the tent shot and killed the bear. in this situation, this guy only got a slap on the wrist. if they would have found the gun sooner, he probably would have been arrested as the laws are strict in national parks to preserve nature, wildlife, and animals. but since it was a life or death situation and he was protecting his home(a tent or a car can be considered a home in some cases), he wasn't charged. so even the national gun control laws sorta contradict eachother. and btw, i used to go in that park with someone who would carry in a .45 mag religiously but never had to use it. although i've come across and seen many bears, they really will just leave you alone if you don't startle them or if you don't get too close if their young are around. in most states in the united states, there is a term called exculated force which means normally, you don't pull a gun out if an attacker isn't using a deadly weapon, but in most states, you are allowed to shoot someone who has just commited a felony...armed or unarmed. the laws to me just don't make any sense because a lot of them contradict themselves. that's why there is a term called mitigating circumstances where you are allowed to tell your story in from of a judge or jury since every circumstance is different. but then your life pretty much depends on a jury who was too stupid to get out of jury duty or 1 single judge and his own interpretation of the law as laws aren't very specific and can be understood many ways depending on the person you talk to. so as far as gun control laws, every judge will have their own interpretation as well as any jury. some people think that if you even own a gun, it should be illegal so the laws to me don't matter. what matters is the crap shoot you take to defend yourself in court if there was ever an instance where you had to use a gun to harm someone or some thing.
  5. i will tell you why. it's because they know i speak the truth. so if you ever want to hear some more truth about women, just let me know. i'm always here
  6. well in my opinion, nothing could beat seinfeld or friends. i'm just surprised 2 1/2 men isn't on your top three right now in production. that show never fails to make me laugh.i'm sorta out of it where t.v. is concerned though. i haven't had cable in a couple years no do i get local channels. it makes it hard for me to be objective in this thread. but really....2 and 1/2 men ranks up there with the best sitcoms ever and it's still in production. i don't know what i would do if i couldn't download the latest episode! so THAT is my favorite right now.friends and seinfeld were CLASSIC shows and i remember when friends came out, the played their theme song about once every 1/2 hour on a radio station called pirate radio in los angeles when they were first being broadcast. it turnded out to be one of the best classic rock stations EVER until it turned to talk radio. anyway, i LOVEd friends....but listening to that theme song every half hour got old really quick......but still a GREAT sitcom!
  7. i don't know about you, but i get the impression he graduated from bikers acadamy a while back but this was the first really big fall. he's a big guy like me and big guys fall HARD haha it's no fun....but it's a story with war wounds to show for it.
  8. oh. i am VERY objective. i also attract all types not just certain ones. it's called knowing people and mirroring my surroundings to be accepted by all types. it's the only way to truely get to know people or have them trust you enough to open up. yea, all women are evil. i never said there wasn't any good in them. but i will say this. women are more evil guys are women tend to be more secritive. they call it being mysterious or alluring and if they couldn't be that way then they would be boring. someone once stated that to me and i believe them. it goes further than that because it really means you don't really know how evil a woman can be and the rose with thorns comment describes every woman. they just know how to bite your head off and make it look pretty you wonder why men cater to women. it's not to be a gentleman. it's because we don't want to see the evil side. we are in fact afraid of you. most men wont admit that. it's so easy for women to show their innocence to get their way and had that evil until the right time....like a cat stalking it's prey. it really is evil when they don't get their way haha they are good at it but they don't want guys to know that or it would ruin their game plan. you have no intention of befriending someone that is bi? well, maybe not all women are bi, but most are and it comes from women being more open and honest about their emotions and therefore more able to be attracted to the same sex. i remember the first time some girl told me she was bi. i didn't really know her but i asked her why she was bi. i never understood it. this was when i was around 17 years old and 25 years ago when such things were normally hidden from the general public. so i started asking all these questions. i guess it sounded like an interegation, but it really wasn't. i really wanted to understand. well, all i remember is she got really offended and stopped talking to me haha. yea well, i was blunt back then too i guess but it wasn't to offend. over the years i became more understanding. it's one of the reasons i couldn't accept any christian religion in how i was brought up going to church every sunday because certain people and their actions or nature is frowned upon. BUT, i have also come to the understanding that most women are bi and attracted to the opposite sex. i'm not speaking out of my rear on this one because i have gotten the truth from women after insisting they weren't bi. hard nose cases that took time to uncover the real truth and the real emotional nature of women of being more open minded to their emotional needs. you are the very first person in 25 years to tell me that the reason women paint their toe nails is because they are organized. that is an absolute first so i will have to remember that. that's an interesting theory. in any case, i would like more comments from women on this thread so we get a better perspective and a more balanced conversation in here.
  9. that was a pretty good post and very good examples of different women. and yes, they are all evil. as i said before. women are evil. if people come close as to guessing why, then i will respond more specifically. until then, don't try to make women look like angels ;)never met a bi woman? i'll bet you met a lot more than you think. so since you wanted to respond. what makes you think that you aren't bi? you had a really elaborate answer for the "evil" in women but it was almost like you wanted to skip past the "bi" aspect in women. i wonder why...now i never said anything about makeup. don't get me started on that one. i was only talking about their little toe nails nobody sees. not even their own selves unless they walk without shoes and socks all day and night. i mean, makeup is just an obvious insecurity issue to me. there is no denying that but all i was saying was painting of the toe nails. it's not like guys judge girls depending on if they have their toes painted. we don't go asking the question, "do you have your toes painted?" and if you respond no, we don't consider you ugly. but it's a sign of insecurity that isn't needed. heck. it isn't even the part of the body that is even seen. so why do it??? women are better off painting their faces and looking like clowns to make them feel pretty and even THAT i don't understand.believe me WD- i have met all sorts in this world and traveled many places. i have. the women or guys that i have met are definately not limited as you think but that would be an easy assuption on your part so if you are speaking for all women right now since you are the only woman who responded, i would think you would be more objective in your answers rather than assume things that aren't true....or assuming anything for that matter :Pmandla- no, i am not going through any relationship distress as an objective to my post. in fact, all my friends, male and female know that i question women on these issues all the time. it's called research. and having fun understanding the opposite sex. with each point i make, there is a purpose to it which i have yet to explain in detail. maybe i will, maybe i wont. but i always like to hear the answers even if they are one sided in trying to protect their own gender from my comments.....like they are a bad thing or something. they all don't have to be necessarily bad but it's funny how people take it sometimesi remember stating to one girl one time that all women are evil. she didn't even hesitate to confirm it but added, "but all men are scum" and that is where i got that phrase from that all men are scum. i couldn't deny it so it just stuck with me
  10. i think it should only be illegal if he enjoyed it. did he?you know some people are just sick. there ARE certain laws about sexual behavior in each state believe it or not. even if there are no laws where he comes from. i think trying to penetrate a table with your penis is grounds for a psychological examination at the very LEAST so he should at least be arrested to find out if he's a danger to himself or other people.
  11. i don't think your statistics are correct there. most windows versions come with the computer you bought which is 100% legal. upgrading is a different story but i don't know why you are so quick to brag that you are a crook
  12. just for you, i posted where this comment comes from and where it originated here.... anyway, what's funny is my wife used to come out smelling like a flower when she describes herself as a rose. just to hide her evilness. but she would also then say well she IS a rose. "i am a rose with thorns" haha sorry, but that is dangerous....
  13. back in the day....maybe 25 years ago, i was on the internet but the community sites where basically made up of bbs's or bulletin board systems. they consisted of men and women of all age groups and i had theories i started back in the day and they all revolved around women.i woud describe them many ways but 3 phrases always stuck to this day. they would be definitions of a woman that would always get them riled up, but at the same time, they would be things that would hold some truth to them(in my opinion). what are those three things?well, "women are evil" is one of them. although you can substitute evil for female dog. i just use evil as a substitute sometimes(which is still true) so my word doesn't get filtered. it's interesting because when i approach women on this and ask them, most of the time they will agree. not only that, they are proud of it!"all women are bi". now this gets some interesting responses. i have known women who will flat out agree. i have known some who will say that there is SOME truth to that, and there are some who flatly REFUSE that there is any truth to it or they aren't bi their own selves. but i don't stop there. i concentrate on those who don't admit being bi and investigate further only to know the REAL truth that most women find other women attractive and that they have had the thoughts of "what if" with other women. and sometime i hear these same women who could never admit to a man, talk amongst themselves to where i hear things like, "yea....i would do 'r" or something similar.lastly, i always loved when i can tell a woman that "women are insecure if they paint their toe nails". i got in a HUGE debate about this one a long time ago. but women refuse to admit it. they will will actually refuse to be insecure about anything while talking to a stranger so refusing that that are insecure because they paint their toe nails makes perfect sense to me. this phrase has a history and it started when i was reading about women and makeup and i started to spout off that women are insecure if they have to hide their natural beauty. i just took it a step further and was specific to toe nails because it's the part of the body that is usually always covered up.....but the WOMAN knows they are painted even if nobody else knows.SO! women who paint their toe nails are insecure, all women are bi, and women are evil. if i really want to get women riled up and talking, these are the three things i will bring up and in most cases, all those phrases are TRUE believe it or not and things that women just don't like to admit sometimes :PSO! what are your thoughts guys? what are your thoughts girls? don't be shy. all heat is on me for starting this thread so you have nothing to worry about by being honest :Pnow just so it doesn't look like i am targeting women, i will tell you that i do have a theory about men. "men are scum". wether you agree or disagree doesn't matter. they are and you really have to watch out. there is only one exception. me. i am an angel
  14. ok. i had to do a quick research on this because this whole theory on the agreement, cliff, suicide thing just seemed too unrealistic to me. so with my quick research, i did see on this web page that it's the same story as in this thread. HOWEVER, on most websites, the most probably explaination can be found on sites like this here.... in any case, i believe this thread is trying to exploit an old wives tale....but it's a good story non the less and in fact supports my arguement that women are evil!
  15. oh yea....i always use the wait and see strategy. i'm not one that needs the newest and latest if things are working fine for me. not only do i save time by not upgrading all the time, but i save money as well and if the upgrade has bugs, then all the better to wait it out. i know windows xp is almost outdated, but i wish i still had a copy so i didn't have to use vista that came with this laptop. it's funny looking at the market share for operating systems and seeing windows me on there. my dad had that installed when he bought his dell computer 10 years ago and that had to be the absolute worst windows operating system of it's day. two years ago, he had a tech come out and he put windows 2000 on there when xp would have been the perfect choice especially when the xp upgrade came through the mail FREE when he originally bought his computer. he's happy with his crappy os and his outdated computer that is slow and with less than 1 gig ram because he doesn't know any better. he's retired but still gets a very wealthy retirement income and could easily upgrade or buy a brand spanking new computer for half the price he originally paid for his dell with a faster processor and 4 gigs of ram.
  16. it's a nice theory to use passwords that way, but you are only going on the assumption that hackers are using programs to hack. if someone was worried about a program attack to hack a password, then this would be a good way to protect ones self. unfortunately, in the real world, hackers can be people you know. now these aren't your typical hackers, but these are people that can get your passwords easily none the less and it happens more frequent than people realize or are willing to admit because they thought they can trust the ones they know. i'm not saying it would be easy to hack a password like that even if it's someone you know, but there really are better methods that use randomness to the equation. i don't suggest people to be lazy. all you are really suggesting is upgrading a pasword to include more words that your pets name or your girlfriends name. also, with the method of a passphrase gotten from the lyrics from a song can easily be figured out if someone you know knows your m.o. because obviously most likely it will be important lyrics to that person most likely.nirv- yes, just storing passwords on your computer is not safe. that is why you shoudl also have a password to log in, and a password to protect the passwords already saved on your computer. those you know are usually not smart enough to get them that way. and if you are ever gone for a day or more, it's important to hide your power cord so people can't even use the computer at all.now granted. on the internet, most people aren't going to get hacked. hackers don't randomly select people to hack. you are usually either targeted for some reason, or they use phishing sites to collect your passwords if someone is naive enough to log in from a website that looks the same as a website you are familiar with. also, there are programs that can collect information so you have to be carefull in what you save on your computer and don't download anything that you are unsure of. it's the same concept that you don't open emails from people you don't know. just don't do it!so aside from the phishing sites, most hackers already have you targeted as someone they want to hack and most likely it's either someone you know, or someone you know who has a friend who is a hacker.this thread doesn't really mean much to the experienced computer users because most experienced users already know how to protect themselves and yes, a passphase of 5-8 words is possibly good enough not to get hacked EVER. but i am not talking "possibly". i am talking about PROBABLY and speaking out for those who are not as experienced.if there are websites out there to guide people in choosing pass phrases, that is a red flag to me. and i wouldn't use those techniques. if you ARE going to impliment a pass phrase, use the one letter from each word technique with the capitol letters and the comma symbols but i don't recomend that either as there is no randomness to it. get used to not being lazy in choosing your passwords. the internet and computers are ever changing and growing and you don't just want to protect yourself from the current technology and techniques hackers use, but future technology and techniques.lyrics to a song? first thing i would do is to see if they have a myspace or similar account that has songs posted. then save all the lyrics of all the songs and then create a program that can check every possible combination of what was already posted in song format on their website. it's not that hard and people posting public suggestions in choosing pass phrases like that is making it easier for hackers because people will actually do this! that's just one technique i would use if i was a hacker and there are many more....anyway, i suggest again. use RANDOM letters and symbols. it's the absolute BEST way to protect yourselves! and don't use the same password for multiple accounts!
  17. well you don't really need to remember passwords if you save them on your pc or laptop. then you just have to worry about the people you know who has access to that computer but you can always protect your passwords with one main password. the combination of that with a password to log in to your computer should be enough security and if you are away on vacation and have someone house sit or something, you can always just hide the power cord.i don't think passwords to accounts should have any meaning to them or a certain order to them. passwords should be random characters that include upper and lower case and symbols. i don't agree with the couple posters who say that it's only the length of the password that matters and i certainly don't like phrase passwords at all. the words can be found in any dictionary and those are the easiest to hack. longer is better, yes.....but that's not the only way to protect.
  18. that's funny. is it true? i've been saying women are evil all along and people don't believe me. maybe this story will open their eyes hahai don'[t really get the comparison though about ladies first. the lady didn't jump per her agreement so now we open doors for them? haha that doesn't make sense. ;)all was brought up with "ladies first". my mom insisted on it so i do it to this day when the opportunity arises but i'll even hold doors open for guys too. what sucks though is when your holding the door open and other people are walking in or out, and the people never stop coming. when's the right time to shut the door? i feel like an idiot when i'm just standing there for 15 seconds like a doorman being treated like a door mat
  19. ouch i think you got a little lucky there soviet. glad you're still with us. you really need to be more carefull. that could have been your nephew like that or worse. well, at least i got to see a picture of you finally instead of a b-boppin' hitler ;)and didn't the doctor say to get lots of rest? what are you doing that causes you to get light headed. STOP THAT. you need to recuperate!
  20. hey! welcome back. i was wondering what happened to ya. glad you found your way back here. do you remember me at all? ;)hey, you disappointed me. i wanted to see how messed up you were when you came back but it requires me to log in to face book. i was too lazy so dude, pm a mod to a new link so we can all see without logging in somewhere. glad your not dead....really.....near death experiences are a great feeling sometimes like you are meant to be here and someone is watching after you....but then you look around, think for a second, and the feeling goes away, and then you think you wished you hit your head harder....
  21. i think there are pros and cons to it all. we all have our different opinions of what a family should be like but nobody can really ever say their family is "perfect". i think every family has it's problems and is dysfunctional in some way depending on how you look at it. but that's ok because that's life and one of the good aspects of any family is to prepare you for life.as for me, i have no regrets about my family or those i meet. sometimes i get hurt, sometimes i don't. it's just the way the ball rolls sometimes but even though my family isn't perfect, they have taught me a lot and been there for me during the hard times.the sad part is, not all "families" have the qualities of being a family. what i mean by that is that you can be born in to a family that doesn't care, who abuses you non stop, who teases you, who just brings down your whole morale and self esteem. so even if you are technically a family, i can't possibly consider a family as dysfuctional as that a real family with the qualities that go in to a family relationship.i've been lucky to have met a whole lot of people in my life and a lot of those people i consider friends. i am also blessed with 4 of those friends who i consider family and my family considers family. my mother mioght as well have given birth to those people because they are that strongly connected to my immediate family.the sad part is the dysfunctional families. i grew up in los angeles where in the 70's and 80's, more and more kids were joining gangs. this wouldn't have happened if they felt they had an immediate family. when getting to know these kids, the most important thing they needed was love and loyalty. i have absolutely no problem when kids join gangs because they do have something to offer that is family like that they aren't getting at home. what i have a problem with is what they sometimes do in gangs and gang initiations. it's not only illegal, but it sometimes has to do with taking a life or robbing people or just intimidating people enough to where these people know not to go in certain neighborhoods because certain gangs sometimes like to claim territories. you talk to any gang member though, they wont say their immediate family is their family. they will say the gang they belong to is their family. a family they would die for because they were never given enough love, attention, and guidance growing up when they were to little to even join a gang or go searching for something that was missing in their lives. so when you hear about drive by's and robberies or people getting beaten up that is gang related, yea, it's disgusting, but people often focus on the ones who didn't and not the mother or father who abandoned them as children and to me, that is even MORE disgusting.btw web designer, you made this long setup speach for this thread, but you didn't talk about your own family. why not? what is YOUR take?
  22. actually, there is nothing wrong with changing paswords every week. let's get even more extreme and say that people should change them every day. fact is, you don't have to. i pointed out that the typical hacker uses programs to hack accounts so whether you change your password daily or weekly wont help. the most common hacker techniques right now are fishing sites. it's easy, and targets the gullible. although it is more secure when you can change your password daily or weekly or even monthly, you really have to have a balance and weigh the pros and cons. so this is why i personally suggest changing a password every 3-4 months because there is a balance to it. although still frequent considering most people never change their passwords, it's wont take 3 hours out of your precious day when you're paranoid about being hacked. saint michael give a good example of what you should input as a password so you don't have to change it as often. i did read the articles and it just blows me away about the ignorance. they use an example of a thief who found your house key and would use it right away rather than wait until the locks have been changed. this is wrong thinking because typical hackers like to play and they like to play undetected so if a typical hacker hacks your account, he will be logging on and off your account several times for months if it goes undetected so the house and key theory is a mute point. also, you are sorta contradicting yourself in what you wrote. at first, your talking about a more secure account by changing your password every week. then you state that using the same password for every site is ok(a more insecure technique for security). listen. now i will tell you something right now. that is just BAD advice and i will tell you why. if you use the same password for every site, then all your accounts are pretty much linked together by the same password. what this does for a hacker is make his job easier because once he gets in to one of your accounts, he can have easy access to all of them. also, if this happens where you have the same password and one of your accounts get hacked, it's harder for the real owner to start changing all the passwords all at once if he has caught the hacker in his tracks. if a person uses a different password for each account, then people can rest assured that one one of his accounts is really a threat instead of all of them and a hacker wont be able to access other accounts with the same password so with that said, i offered a suggestion in changing passwords every 3-4 months for a balance of time, energy and security. it's good advice. but if someone wants to change their password daily/weekly/monthly, by all means, that is even safer. but i do want to stress that a lot of hacking attempts do occur by people you know believe it or not and those people can be proved to be more dangerous than a typical hacker. they just have to look under stored passwords or look over your shoulder, or they have some idea of what passwords you would use. internet security should be taken seriously. that's why i am shocked to see these titles of articles floating around. some of the best sites i have been on offer internet security to the end user to help prevent hackers by not allowing someone to log in if the recorded ip does not match. from there, it might ask you a series of security questions just to verify who you are. and that's another thing. when choosing a security question and answer, make it a hard one that very few people know. even your own friends and family. it should be personal to YOU. if you have trouble picking one, and they are all simple security questions, what i tend to do is answer to oppossite of what the question is asking. so if it's asking where you went to high school, put in your jr. high. if it's asking your favorite pets name, type your pets name backwords. those are easy security questions to guess so you want to be creative in how you answer so nobody can figure them out if they are trying to hack your account....especially if they know you and know the answers to simple security questions. and yes, saint michael gave good advice. use at least 10 characters in your password(the more the better) and use numbers, lower case letters, capitol letters, and symbols. this is the easiest way to protect all of your accounts but not the only ways.
  23. woa! i don't agree with that at all. although i didn't read the article, i just read the topic title.although i wouldn't suggest changing your password every week or avery month, i would suggest changing your passwords ever 3-4 months. normally, hackers will target specific victims and use programs to figure out passwords. but sometimes the non typical hacker could be someone you know where they try to figure out your password or saw you typing it one day, etc... that's why you should change your password every 3-4 months. not only that, but never use the same password for multiple site. for every site you have an account on, choose a different password.if microsoft is really saying frequent password changes are useless, then they are full of it! don't listen to them. i have a hard time believing they said that though so when i'm bored, i might just go ahead and read the article and comment further.
  24. he was talking about an interview for a school he wants it get in to. not a job also, i saw some really common sense answers so i would like to add one too. i would suggest you bathe before the interview because....well...i think it would be the right thing to do....
  25. i like the title, but i think it's overly exagerated and doesn't really state the truth just like the quotes fail to really tell the whole story.i'm not really keeping current records on current time in great britain, but i don't know what officers have to gain by arresting a resident rather than gypsies who were supposedly breaking in to a home. fact is, the quote included "intent to steal". that part of the quote right there tells me that the whole thing is bogus. nobody knows someones intent unless the person with the intent tells the other person what their intent is.so while i was reading these quotes, my first thought was "where are they coming from" and "are they reliable". well i have just gave one example of why i think the quotes are unreliable.so it's very clear to me that there is more to those stories than what was printed or quoted in this thread. it's really hard to comment on it when we really don't know the whole story.also, talking about gypsies, whenever i think of gypsies, i think of the good cheesy movie, "thinner" haha what a good movie....
