Haven't had our new year yet since we are behind you time wise. I am jealous, none the same, as we live in a small community in the middle of a National Forest and don't have such a nice celebration that goes on here. We have to watch any celebrations on our TV, we do have cable. Although the local casino is having an indoor celebration tonight. We will probably take that in. HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody!

I find the pop-under ads most annoying. Then there are always the pop-ups that propagate so fast that your pop-up blocker can't keep up with them. Flashing ads are very annoying too, as they are hard on the eyes. The noisy ones are really annoying, especially when you happen to have your speakers cranked up listening to a CD. They about blast your eardrums out.

That's going to be rough to do for one of them. The phone in the kitchen is a rotary dial hard line wall phone (no wall plug)

Filters? Where are they put? AT&T is taking about sending me a modem to hook up to my line and then puter. Wireless is not an option. I will be using a desktop without that capacity. I will probably wait until spring because my present yearly contract doesn't run out until then and I can't get a refund.

I started a new topic because my question was not getting addressed in the other post about Cable and DSL. Has anybody had any experience with DSL since AT&T and Yahoo have come into the picture? I am considering it as an option since it has now become available in my area through them. No, cable is not an option for me.
