  1. i agree with t3jem regarding the brain not having enough oxygen supply. you need to do a lot of breathing exercises in order to supply your body with more than enough. take note of the proper breathing (inhaling through nose, exhaling through mouth, with deep breathing). you might also want to do some exercise, it also helps with the breathing part.with regards to the buzzing sound, i believe it's either you spend too much time in a very noisy place or listening to very loud music using earphones. cellphones don't usually do that to the ear unless the opposite end is shouting at you. you might want to lessen being in a crowded place making phone calls. it's like a "duh" situation. if you're in a crowded place, and it's very noisy, the tendency is for you to shout and for the other end to shout as well (since you can't hear them).and lastly, you might want to go to the doctor for that and not to us despite the fact that people love to give out advices, things like these need a professional checkup.
  2. well i haven't submitted a tutorial of my own, but i agree with this one. since tutorials mostly composed of programming, web designing, graphics design, etc. it would help people put their tutorials on the right place and for others to see it easily.
  3. well for one, there are a lot of ways to contact her and greet her on her birthday. and there are more ways to remember dates as such. it is quite embarrassing that you forgot her birthday. i guess of all people, why those who are close to you. i'm not rubbing it on to you. i guess it's just weird, for me at least.anyway, as for the topic, i really don't know if i would forget my parent's birthdates since i'm always the one who cook during birthdays in our house. but in the case i would forget it, i would probably just say sorry and just make it up to her by cooking dinner or going out for dinner just for that. i don't usually go out, so i would probably just cook dinner
  4. i would say neither. honestly, i don't know why paris is a big deal to some americans. i don't see anything special from her, but when i turn on the tv, i could see paris from almost every news channel not to mention larry king. on the other end of the spectrum, there's britney who is probably in the depths of nothingness already. i usually vote for the underdogs but she's just not worth it. but then again, she was in the spotlight before, just like paris (only i think britney was younger, correct me if i'm wrong). her share of spotlight is now over. i never really liked her voice (i remember hearing her singing live, she sounded like a frog), nor her way to fame. but i do admit she's good at dancing.
  5. lol of course not! i don't drink :P

  6. lol i don't know. hehehe. who knows.

  7. i've had a lot of dreams that usually end up like me dying or having an accident. i recall two of my dreams, one was i was riding a bicycle so fast then i lost control (yeah i know, i don't understand how i could loose control of a bicycle myself ) and slammed to a wall and woke up. the other one was if i remember correctly involved me riding a car and having an accident.i also remember dreaming of witnessing a mass murder and when one of the "goons" noticed me, he wanted me to lie down on my stomach facing the dirt. at that time i was conscious that is was some sort of a dream, so i forced myself to wake up before the trigger was pulled.
  8. lol. busy or pretending to be busy? :P

  9. well i downloaded that one too, but i haven't really installed and used it. i just thought you could check it out so i just suggested it. anyways, i'm glad you like it. i'm not a guitar player, but i'm planning on studying how to play it.
  10. you know what's so funny? you keep on using examples that has little relevance to the topic just to support your ideology. just so we're clear, this is a topic about the possible harmful effects of cracking knuckles, feet, and neck. gymnastics don't crack their knuckles to do their routines. they do stretching, so they'd be able to perform with their best. like any exercises, stretching is a good way to "warm-up" your body so it could function well during strenuous workouts to simple ballet movements. THEY DO IT WITH SUPERVISION SO THEY WON'T HARM THEMSELVES IN THE PROCESS. that's why you have coaches and gymnast teachers. in the case of yoga, yes i know they put themselves in positions that are probably unimaginable to most people. and most people who believe that yoga is some sort of a fad that they're easily into joining the bandwagon just for that. from the looks of it, you mean that "it's good for you" because you could have benefits like loosing weight. you see, when one puts his or her own body in positions like that, i'm sure they're doing a lot of work so indeed they'll end up loosing weight. yoga, i believe, uses the "mind over body" so you could put your body into positions like that. it uses extensive meditation and concentration just to will your body and let your mind tell your body that the pain is nothing. it's not more than easy talking, i believe yoga is some serious stuff. most doctors aren't suggesting such stuff because they can cause some harmful effects, especially to your joints. but like what i've said in the previous paragraph, THEY DO IT WITH SUPERVISION SO THEY WON'T HARM THEMSELVES IN THE PROCESS. they follow steps in doing that and i think they won't force you if you're feel a lot of discomfort. it's like a mandatory rule. that's why you have yoga teachers. so you're saying, cracking your knuckles, toes and neck is a way to not make them stiff? funny, because i feel a lot of ignorance in that statement. there are ways for you to attain flexibility, ONE OF WHICH IS STRETCHING.
  11. yo! :P haven't seen you in the sb for days! haha!

  12. well there's nothing wrong about asking, right? and besides, it's just people's opinions, you need not take them seriously if you don't want to. i can say that you have two options: either you accept things as is, that she might not be the "girl" for you, or you could pursue her and win her back and keep the flame burning. if you do the first option, you have to accept the fact that it's not meant to be. you see, she's also in the same stage as you're on, and she could have thought that her relationship with you was part of the recovering process, that she also needs a shoulder to cry on to (in some people, they try to find someone as a "substitute" to the ex as a defense mechanism for the failed relationship. i'm not saying your case is such, i'm just saying there are some people who do that so they could forget their exes.). anyway, if she felt like this maybe she realized that her failed relationship must have affected her judgment. that part would be a bit hard to accept especially if you thought her intentions were true, that you thought her feelings were true. but you can't blame her for that. like what i said, she's on the same stage as you're on. now, there's another option you could do. in the case the previous is true, you still have a chance to "re-light the fire", that is, if you feel like she still has feelings for you. you could continue pursuing her. now this is a bit difficult, since she might think you're still not over your ex (i think that's probably one of the reasons why she acts that way, she's thinking maybe you're not yet over your issues, that's why she wants you to finish the problems first). she could also question your sincerity because of that. in the case you're really sure you're over your ex, and you're ready to move on, then it's a green light for you. in either case, you don't have to blame yourself saying how "pathetic" you are that you should have said "yes" before. you're in a stage of your life that your heart is still healing and you're still not over your ex. if she loves you, she should understand that, and if she REALLY loves you, she would be there to be the "shoulder you could cry on". in either case, you must take note that friendship is the best way to start a great relationship. you need not take things fast, just take it one step at a time. start over, forget the past, your exes. it's up to you if you want to take it up a notch, but i think time would tell if things are heading "that" way. good luck with your dilemma and i hope things would turn out for the better.
  13. we have a pet dog named allondra (my aunt named her after a mexican telenovela character). we wanted her to breed puppies but i think she likes female dogs as well anyway, this dog is really hyperactive. and whenever we come near her she suddenly jolts out as if she's going to attack you or something. it's funny and freaky at the same time. she usually does this when she's lying on the floor then waits for her "victims" to come, but she never bit anyone. she just loves to put her forearms above your shoulders (when you're in a sitting position), as if she's trying to embrace you. another funny thing the female dogs here do (my late dog, Peewee does that too before), is that when they're lying on the floor and you start calling their names, they raise one of their hind legs to show their "private parts". i don't know if your dogs does that too, but our dogs usually do that (mostly the female ones).
  14. here's the thing, when you crack your knuckles, neck, etc., you're putting the joint out of it's normal range of motion. the habit of cracking them would eventually loosen the joints, and usually cause a "loose grip", thus probably some people assume it leads to arthritis. in some cases, the joints become dislocated and in others causes the tearing of the ligaments. whether it's backed up by scientific study or not, the main point is you do more harm than good. whether it would cause you a loose grip or not, the fact is that you develop a habit that lets you crack them more and more. like what i said, just because it doesn't kill you doesn't mean you have to be careless about it.
  15. i use winamp here in the pc and the core media player in the laptop. i used winamp for a long time and i like the skins that can be used in winamp and the core i've used for the past few months. i downloaded a video that can only be played in the core so i downloaded it. i like the simplicity like the winamp and i also like the file association. there's a specific icon used for specific extensions that can be opened in the core (eg., yellow for midi, blue for mp3)
  16. well you could get ideas from the website's theme and contents. your website says it's about programming (i see a lot of C++ entries). you could start from there. i'm not really good at making logos (i don't have one on my blog, so whatever right?) so i can't really give you a sample logo. i'm just trying to give you some tips that would hopefully help you in your logo-making.
  17. hahaha well i rarely go there to post but then again, i'm probably one of those people who wasn't so into games and what's new when it comes to gaming and stuff. as i've mentioned in the "favorite games" thread, i only relied on emulators since my parents really didn't get us any consoles (yeah, i know sad life ).
  18. i think a life sentence (or probably a death sentence) is too much for a materialistic crime. had the objects stolen been returned to the rightful owner, i think the charges shouldn't be as exaggerated as that. the owner could probably charge for emotional damages (or whatever other things that might have been damaged along the way) and the convict should have some jail time (i'm thinking five to ten years is the maximum).it's like saying, "one wrong move and you'll pay with your life", which sounds to me like paranoia on loose.
  19. lol. if you have time to convert this manually, good luck to you. i'll try converting this using java later. i don't have enough time right now.
  20. i would say i love the megaman series (from megaman 1 to 8, x series and zero series. never played the battle network yet). i'm into a lot of rpg games, but i've only played them in emulators (my parents really didn't bother in getting us any consoles ). i also like the lunar series, advanced wars, fire emblem. i've heard about final fantasy series but haven't played a single game, except for final fantasy tactics advance in gba. i'm now shifting to nintendo ds as a new megaman game has been released there.
  21. well i had a site that i made before that is hosted in yahoo (back then i think i had some limited bandwidth per day, so i only had my friends visit that). it was a charmed-related website. the theme was supposed to be the "book of shadows" presented in the show (that's the family grimoire where the sisters get their spells from). i wanted to draw the images to be put there (a la book of shadows style), but didn't have time to do the sketches. then i wasn't able to update the website anymore that's why i shut it down.a few years later, during college, my neighbor introduced me to blogging. i forgot the title i used initially, but i remember it was dedicated to me being a middle child (yeah i know, kinda pathetic really). anyway, when i decided to change my nickname (from a really cheezy online nickname) to master bacarra (or mbacarra), i also changed the title to mb's grimoire. it was a great title and i use it in my current blog that is hosted in my Xisto account.
  22. welcome to trap steve! i'm quite amazed you're a gamer at heart at the age of 26. usually, i would hear that from mostly kids at the age of 10-18. anyway, enjoy your stay here at trap. just make sure you follow the forum rules and you'll be set (which would make your application processed a lot faster because mods and admins will check your posts before they approve your hosting application).
  23. hello ben/gamerglitch! welcome to Xisto. like what we always say to newcomers here in the forum, enjoy your stay! if you're looking for great hosting, this is the best place for you. just make sure you follow the board rules and you'll be fine. no one liners, spams whatsoever.again welcome and enjoy your stay.
  24. i'm over with my hair. i get a buzzed cut every now and then to keep my hair short. i still use shampoos and conditioners, but not that much, since i have short hair and it doesn't have to be maintained that much. however i have to keep my scalp in check because i don't want to get dandruff and probably lice. public restrooms are the worst. i know how you feel. i flush the toilet using my feet, but i'm not too obsessed, that i had to bring my own toilet seat. i could just wash my hands and maybe rub some alcohol or hand sanitizer. your dad is right, there are some good bacteria that resides on our skin. it's the first line of defense of the skin. all the germs that go to our skin are killed by these good bacteria. so it's not really advisable to be too much obsessed with getting rid of bacteria. in some countries, it's the reason why they don't take a bath more than once per day. whoa. that's so much obsession. obsessive compulsive as they say. i think i've seen one case like that before while watching tv. and she constantly smells the dishes and cleans it more if she thinks it doesn't smell clean. i don't know if it's disturbingly alarming, but i think it's just normal to want to be clean.
  25. i'm halfway with this. i mean i guess everyone's with me when i say i'm terrified to see how and when i'm going to die. i don't think anyone who would see how they'd die would say "cool". moreover, i'm not going to be "good" because i know i'm going to die soon. i still would act the same, only enjoy stuff a bit more. i would probably say sorry to some people but as to being good to make up for things, i probably won't. but then again if you're dying, i think that's the only thing you would want to do, right? now, if there's a way that i could prevent it from happening, i probably would. i have this sort of belief that i got from one show i was watching before, that if you're next on death's list, you can't avoid it, it means it's your time. if you try and cheat death, it will come to you again and again until you're "taken". but then again that's probably some hearsay.
