that's weird. i actually thought i already posted in this topic... or was there a duplicate thread? jeez, i can't remember i'll post anyway :Pback in highschool, i used to make cheezy usernames and thinking about it gives me the chills (like i couldn't imagine i came up with such embarrassing usernames). i remember using (as part of the nickname) 'ice' instead of 'eyes'. at least i wasn't one of those people who used h's and z' excessively. i think it was during college when i thought of a decent username that stuck with me since... and that was this username, master bacarra.initially, i used mbacarra for short. i was obsessed with the tv show Charmed and there was this warlock that came from the future via a time ripple. this ripple was caused by phoebe, one of the sisters, trying to save her boyfriend from getting killed. the name of the warlock was bacarra. he uses latin spells and since he came from the future, his spells are more powerful and stronger. in fact, in his time he was the right hand to the source of all evil. anyway, he came to kill the guy, but later decided to make his visit worthwhile by uniting with his present self and planning to steal the sisters' grimoire. they successfully stole the book and disempowered the sisters thru a spell in the book. in the end he was able to kill phoebe and paige. piper was able to escape and undo all the changes by going through the same time ripple and letting phoebe's boyfriend get killed. other than The Source, he was the next villain to be able to match the sisters (of course there's the seer, who, by the way was the best villain in the series, but she's a female). i just added "master" on the name.bacarra, is also a name of the town in one of the provinces here in the philippines, ilocos norte. i haven't really visited the town, but who knows, i might do that later.

That's great to hear. I love to do some night-sky observation since i was a child. watching the stars is fun, although i think some people would think it's boring. the sky is mostly clear on our area during normal days so i could see most of the stars compared in the city where there's a lot pollution.too bad we only get to see it at dawn here in my side of the world. good thing lunar eclipses are frequent compared to solar eclipses. at least there's more next year

i'm an RPG fan so i tend to power up my characters by leveling them up way ahead so bosses aren't really much of a big deal. sometimes, i feel like i overdid the leveling up because the battle usually ends so fast, i don't have to break a sweat. although there are three bosses that i particularly had some problems with (actually just two because the other one is a sub-boss).i have been a megaman fan and sometimes i really suck at playing it, although it's a lot of fun (the playing of course). in megaman x4 (one of my favorite megaman games), i've had problems with sigma (the final boss). he has two forms and you have to retain your life gauge to full during the first form so you could fight the second form. but that doesn't end there, the second form has three forms (i think) which you have to battle with caution because you have to hit him in a specific spot. moreover, he goes invisible while he switches forms so you can't really do much. the game gets harder if you choose zero as your main character, since he's a short-range fighter (he uses his z saber).the other game whose boss i've had problems with was lunar 2: eternal blue (the silver star story was really easy) and it's two bosses, the white dragon fiend and zophar. the white dragon fiend is actually more of a sub-boss, since it's one of the four fiends you have to beat in order to release the four dragons of althena. the reason why it's difficult is because you don't have any super-power to rely on, other than your team's mediocre power. lucia has been toned down to a "human" level power and she's AI so you really can't rely on her helping you with healing and melee. your only source of healing is ronfar, but he's not much of a help since he's a retired priest (he hasn't healed anyone in years thus reflecting his abilities). you're good to go if you have enough starlight (which is very pricey) for MP and herbs and potions for HP. another reason why this boss is difficult is because he's the white dragon's copy so he's technically the strongest among the fiends. but after you defeat him, everything will be a cinch... until you reach the main boss of the game... zophar.zophar has a huge amount of HP on his (some use 'her', because he/she looks like a woman, but has the voice of a male) sleeve. he was the only boss i wasn't ready to face the first time i encountered him. i had to redo the stage for about 4 times (i literally lost all my items for backup because of him). he has 3 forms which will drive you insane. his first form is moderately hard, but you have to maintain all your reserves. his second form has two parts, first part is you have to defeat two of his arms to release lucia and you'll get to have your team fully healed once lucia is released. the second part you have to finish everything. the last form is just the head, but it's pretty easy and you only have hiro to do the damage.i'm still waiting for other bosses to overwhelm me, but as of now they're the only ones that really had me stunned.

although not related (not in a date), i've also experienced being late in a previously-planned meeting with different people, and it's humiliating. i remember my professor telling me that "i should act professional most of the time". the latest was during an interview. i was scheduled for an interview at 1pm. i usually plan at what time i should leave because i'm coming from home and i have to travel (which takes at least an hour) alone. i left home at 11am not taking into consideration that there could be heavy traffic during the travel. i had to take the taxi in order to get to the place as soon as possible but unfortunately i arrived at around 2pm. i was lucky they still interviewed me despite that, but since i was late, the superiors probably have a bad impression of me (which would definitely affect my application). i'm not really a tardy person since our home is very far to the city, traveling alone takes around 1-2 hours at least, imagine if traffic was really bad.so in a sense i kinda understand how you feel and how your date felt. despite planning everything ahead, there's still something that would probably mess things up. in cases like that, you should put another extra measure like setting up an alarm 30 minutes to an hour before the time of rendezvous. personally, i add extra time because i take too long in the shower. moreover, in the case that you're already late, you could inform them beforehand that you'll be late (it's up to you if you want to be honest and tell them the exact reason, but don't go too far in telling lies just to get past it).

well i'll put up my vote again for playground after my previous vote got canceled. still voting for playground and to even things out. it's simple, not over-the-top (unlike mine ). i also love the usage of violet and yellow to break the scheme of dark greens and browns also to bring out the render and make it stand out (since the render has the same color background of brown).

i don't know why this is supposed to be a big deal. personally, i put up an avatar or signature image because i think it's a cool sig/avatar, but i'm not bothered if members don't put up their own sigs. your sig doesn't show your reputation in the forum, SPECIFICALLY this one, unless you're part of the gfx team who loves to show their talent to others (but we have a subforum for that). you build your reputation in the forum by posting [according to rules] and by that others would remember you in one way or another. and besides, i don't think the sig and avatars are the first things that people look at when they search for posts/topics.

i'm currently listening to KT Tunstall, Joss Stone and Regina Spektor. i love KT's songs so much and it's so catchy and moody. Joss Stones' current album is hip, sexy and full of soul. Regina Spektor is fun and sassy and i love her style as well. i'm not so much into rock, i think the last rock band i listened to was a japanese rock band named No Regret Life.

i recently graduated (last april to be exact) from college with a degree in computer science. right now i'm currently jobless, and still struggling to look for jobs. it's kinda tough really and will all the turned down applications i've had, it's kinda getting into me and is a bit disheartening.i took a one-week work in our university, as a registration assistant. i assisted incoming freshmen with their subjects and gave them tips with the whole university life. it was quite fun giving advices to the novice, wishing them a great life ahead and all that stuff. too bad it was just for a week.then i took a problogging job for about a month. i recently quit it because it was a bit difficult and i couldn't get myself into a working habit. plus, i was a bit guilty because i was giving out advices that i wasn't doing myself. i am more of a "practice what you preach" kind of a person so it gave me a weird feeling.all i could say is go for what you really want and what would make you happy. i know i shouldn't be saying that, since i still have to find some jobs for me, but i could do that as well, right? good luck to the both of us

i don't know if it's one of the causes but the first time i "double-clicked" the build directory button, the progress bar went off, then it went off again on the second "loading" stage. anyway, i just reported that, might help you anyway.

i saw it earlier. there were bugs during loading (the loading bar exceeds the size of the loading area). oh and i have changed my domain name already i don't know what data your script is getting but i have changed it already.

sorry to hear that. i feel for you when you decide to get a new dog. i remember when i lost my pet (she died from a weird disease), i couldn't force myself into taking care of another dog. i couldn't take her to the vet because i don't have money. moreover, she got sick and died quickly, at first i thought she was just sad then she doesn't eat anymore then the following day she died. now that we have a new dog, i still take care of them but i don't want to get too attached because of that death of my favorite dog.i think it's good in a way that you're getting a different type(?) of dog, in a way you're sort of moving on from that phase. in my opinion, getting the same type(?) as the one that died before feels like you're not yet moving on, and that you want to find the qualities from your late pup in the new dog. they're different dogs with different personalities, and i think comparison would bring some resentment on your part.of course in the end it's going to be your decision. good luck on that and be sure to post the picture when you do have time.

i have to disagree with tramp. i have used fireftp for quite some time now, and i think it's very useful. i've used smartftp before but it has expired already (i only have the free one). since i'm a sucker for free stuff, i just downloaded the firefox extension and i'm all set.

they provide mirrors in downloading the videos like rapidshare. you just have to wait before they put up the link though. well, downloading naruto isn't in my priority list so i could wait for a day before i could download it myself. if you have the connection, use torrents, if you have time, wait for them to release the rapidshare link. i don't like youtube that much. i only watch madtv skits in youtube, or probably some live performances by my favorite artists.

did you know that there were issues behind narutofan.com? i won't tell the details but i've been told by one of my friends about the narutofan site issue. anyway, i go to narutofan because of the manga for naruto. but when it comes to episodes, i usually go to narutocentral. regarding bleach, i was able to see the first four episodes (care of one of my thesis classmates). it was good, but i wasn't wowed by it. i won't compare it to naruto because they are two very different anime shows with different story and plot.

how would we know that it's your logo? for all we know that could be anybody's logo. i could say that could be mine. who knows.

first off, i appreciate the fact that you admit your mistakes that you've done in the past. i think it takes a lot of courage to speak up (although on a crowd like us, i think it's a bit safe, but then again, it's still one big step ). well going to trap and telling us about it means there's already some changes happening to you.in order for you to start clean, you have to let go of all of these things that have brought you to a different direction, a direction that your folks don't want you to be in. it takes time, especially with the drugs. you have to get help from professionals that would make the process of "moving on" a lot easier.if your parents really care for you despite what had happened, they would accept you with open arms. but sometimes, some parents need proof that you've changed, that it's all for the better, that they would be able to sleep at night without worrying about you anymore, knowing that you're doing great. after the process of healing and starting over, you should set your goals and what you want to achieve so you could be proud of yourself. try to accomplish these goals one step at a time. get a job, so you could establish yourself and finance yourself, if you've given yourself enough time, you could probably get back to school. i know it's a lot and it would take time, but if your parents see the change, and maybe one day they could invite you back in.good luck with your problems and i hope that helps even for a bit.

um, i hope this has nothing to do with the thread regarding you hearing a buzzing sound in your head.anyway, honestly speaking, this is reckless and quite imprudent on your part. i know extreme sports (although i won't consider this as such) give that indescribable rush of blood on a person, but they do it with supervision, and with a lot of back up just in case. rushing in a busy intersection with a bike and coming out alive doesn't make you cool. it makes you insane. not only it could have thrown you off your bike, but you could have also caused even more problems like cars crashing into each other, people getting hurt or even killed. just because people said "it was a killer" doesn't mean they thought it was cool. or probably you just heard that but actually that person said "you could've killed yourself". please put into mind that bragging about such doesn't make you look cool to people who think what you've done is probably out of insanity.
