  1. Would say be happy for her if she's already got a guy. The quote that raibbd posted pretty much sums it up. Although like the rest, whatever is the best for you, give it a go, provided it does not wreck your friendship with the lady.
  2. Unlike the other things that seem to kill as posted above, smoking is probably one of the few things that may be prevented. A strong campaign or shock campaigns could convince some smokers to give it up. Although down in Australia, it seems that young women smokes more than men those days. But yes, as much as non-smokers have the right not to breath smoke from smokers in public areas, smokers have the right to smoke in public areas, but only in designated public "smoking" areas. They have every right to smoke at home or anywhere else if they wish.
  3. Like many others, I tend to use the computer lots for many reasons (at work, at home, and the like). But have to say that most wont be able to live without a computer today, and even if they werent invented. There will still be some form of technology, which will be a neccessity. But in my experience, yes I can balance things, eg go a weekend without it and the like. Eg head out and do something, spend the night at the pub and the likes. Even on holidays I can go some days without it. But since work involves using a computer, I'm pretty much on it a lot.
  4. Hadnt played much of it, but had to say I didnt like it that much from the short time on it. Guild Wars, WoW, Warhammer Online (not officially released, only in beta) and the likes I found were much better.
  5. Good point.. Iraq war for example, those that may be disloyal to Saddam (rebels) could've ended up as heroes when he got overthrown.
  6. Agree with most of above. Usually a beer (or rum drinker), although I dont mind having the mixed spirits or alcohlic beverages mixed with some form of 'lolly' water (eg coke/orange juice/etc).
  7. Its known when drunk and at a keyboard, the user suddenly knows how to use the language of 'typonese' (geek term), hence just typing dribble and so forth. Also there are also some people that suggest that even Drink-walking home is pretty bad and its suggested that ya either get a lift, or crash the night at some friends (or poor bloke's place).
  8. It's a short name of my real name. MY real name is spanish, although I dont come from Spain!. Have many short variants I get called by as well.. Arnz, Arnzy, Arnie (younger days... *does facepalm*).
  9. Have to say Tourism has been down recently due to recent events involving Indonesia and their Australian neighbours, but while it was at its peak, I'd agree that it was a nice place to holiday at.
  10. Pretty much agree, NZ maybe the runaway favourites to win the cup, but as I hadnt been watching the Rugby that much apart from the recent Wallabies upset over the All-blacks. I believe that there are a few nations out there that could be suprise packets. Australia would be one of the suprise packets considering their poor form in recent times untill the last few games as of late. Also in regard to Europe, I'd probably tip either France or Ireland to spring out a few suprises (agreeing with above posters reasons).
  11. Very interesting, yes. But at the same time, some may say its just a weird co-incidence about the numbers. As one other said, if it was well planned based on those numbers (which imo think it's unlikely) it probably doesnt prove anything. Sure some or parts of it may be planned, but then again it doesnt add up otherwise if we went by the numbers theory. I agree with husker that many western nations could learn from their mistakes, rather than looking up weird theories and so forth.
  12. Cascade Premium Light, Hahn ICe, Carlton Mid, many types of beer are up there (well except VB and Fourex .. ugh). Dont mind the vodka, Rum (Bundy Rum) though. As for lolly water (chick's drinks) eg Cruisers I dont really drink it that much.

    New Rpg

Would suggest at least making a story to the RPG that relates to the game. It would help players understand what the game is all about.
  14. Cloning might be a solution to stop the leatherback turtles from coming extinct, but it's not going to solve the problems which caused the bit of overpopulation in the first place. All I can say is if they are going to clone those type of turtles at least do it in a controlled environment rather than let loose, population spikes up again, then drops again to a point where people are going to be concerned that those turtles will go extinct again.
  15. I dont know about Bangladesh being a power, but one thing I'd have to say they are improving and some up and coming players are starting to impress. Razzaq and Ashraful are a few that can impress at times.
  16. Many commercial stations broadcast on the internet, but yes have to agree with the internet-only broadcasters that they still need to stick around to show new artists and the like.
  17. Illidan the Betrayer (half elf/half demon) from the Warcraft trilogy, quote from WoW - "You are NOT prepared!"
  18. PRobably say that I rotate between IE and Netscape for various reasons, esp when working on pages, code and so forth. Considering some WYSIWYG programs messes up things at time (Dreamweaver is one of em leaving varied MM sigs).
  19. As far as I'm concerned, both genders start off equal. One may be better than the other doing specific tasks, job mindset and so forth, but as one other poster has said already, they are working towards job-specific goals at the end of the day.But as far as competitiveness goes, have to agree that both genders are always bound to try to out-do one another, but also both genders should receive the same rights, same with races etc.
  20. Warhammer Online - The Age of Reckoning is a upcoming (mostly PVP objective based) MMORPG. I havent tried the beta, but going by screenshots it looks pretty good.
  21. That quick eh, Happy Birthday Xisto! and may your many years of hosting be around to come.Hopefully a lot more new customers over the next few years = a more active buzzing community.May your next years ahead be more prosperous!*Grabs a slice of cake while i'm at it *
  22. Not a bad idea to be honest. I'd have to agree it has to be kept as simple as possible, but with less of the bugs that myspace has (eg the Music lagging up the load times of the blog space). At least it would seem pretty easy to edit if it was in a similar style to the wiki.
  23. As I said before, I personally think that all religions have their nutters, yet the majority, or most are really peaceful people that respect other peoples way. Of couse there are the few that may not a particular religion or so, but thats just the way it is with some people. Some people have their beliefs, and most people would respect that. Most Islams I have met are very nice people.
  24. I may not live in America, but I guess it may depend on the voters views on the war on the time. Whether if they actually vote, is another question. Considering in some countries, voting is compulsory (eg Australia).
  25. Yeah I tend to use pre-paid cards rather than using credit cards atm. Had took a 1 month break to concentrate on other things but since work hours has changed then restarted it back up again via the pre-paid cards. It doesnt seem too bad for about $32 (using the cards from the nearest EB or some other computer outlet/major retailer).
