It's all probably one big farce.I am going for .co.nr for my free domain. All you need to put on your site is a little image of theirs and agree to their terms and conditions, which are all worth it. Although in the future, when I have a pay-pal account, I'll probably use that to buy a domain from somewhere like 1&1.Thanks for the info on hbdomains, perhaps in the new year, when all my resolutions come into affect, then I will be able to post in there and maybe get somewhere.

I prefer the version I have now (11 (aka 2003)), as the user interface (UI) is much better and not to mention more logical. The features are also very rich. The graphics however on version 12 (in document) look better and more controlable, but those effects can be made with patience and knowledge, in a vector graphics editor (e.g. Fireworks).

In order for Google to come up with an O/S that people would invest or download if it was free, would take a considerable amount of dedication and effort.Google's somewhat relaxed and happy-go-lucky is a very hard 'business karma' to have, as businesses often come with stress and hard times. To get the team to go from being relaxed in their approach from designing web applications, and now desktop applications, to building an O/S would be a big step. It would almost ruin the karma of the company, and may prove to be a downfall, if they were to dedicate themselves to it.However, if they were to maintain their approach and slowly, but surely, step on Microsoft's toes, I wouldn't be surprised if Google took over some smaller organisations, like the FreeBSD and accompanying Linux Kernel Platforms, and brought them under the wing of Google, to fight Microsoft's domineering power in the war of the O/S.I think that in the near future, we may even see Google realising a shell to Microsoft Windows Vista, which puts the users into a flexible and more stable environment within Windows. I would also expect them to do this for Linux.

PHP Vs. Asp.net: Which Is Better ? PHP vs ASP.NET

But with ASP, you need to make sure that the users sessions are ended at the appropriate times, or else you do get a system overload. -

So, in other words, it is just another webmaster-discussion zone, where people collaborate information and generally hang-out.Sorry, HTML, but I think you need to come up with something a little more dramatic. Something that yells out "REFRESH ME and BOOKMARK ME". Something with a little oomph. And originality.

How Animals Survive Under -50 Degrees C Pretty intresting
twitch replied to iGuest's topic in Science and Technology
Fish also stay warm because of a chemical in their blood - known to us as Antifreeze. This chemical, or more scientifically known as a protein in the DNA sequencing. They have used this protein, through splicing, to give plants Anti-freeze properties.Good list though. -

Google's World Domination! Possible?
twitch replied to salempc's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Google can and will conquer the industries based around information organisation. But, remember all companies that go to the top...must come down. And trust me, Google will fall. Probably by corruption, or having that many lawsuits against them. -
Great tutorial Guru. Additional information: Although you are not limited to the number of meta tags that you can put in, it is a good idea to keep them to about 4 or 5. Anymore, and your source will become too heavy. The major 4 you should count on are: AUTHOR, DESCRIPTION, KEYWORDS and UNICODE. These are the ones that the search engines (that still use meta system) look for mainly. Additional meta tags are for additional information. You are not restricted to what type of meta name is put. For example, you may want to put geo.position as a meta name and give the co-ordinates of your country in the contents. Or, you might want to put dedicated.to and in the contents put the persons name who you are dedicating the page/site to. Note, that these will not be read by any (known) search engine. I personally stick with the four fundamental meta's - AUTHOR, DESCRIPTION, KEYWORDS and UNICODE, as the less clutter in my files, the better. Misc Information: DESCRIPTION - Keep this thing short. A simple one liner will surfice. Remember, that people don't want to see irrelevant information, they just want a quick text snapshot of your site. For example, my personal site description would be: The online home of Michael Land, web designer, developer and spork extroardinaire. And that would be it, as it provides the information. KEYWORDS - Again, try to keep it to a minimum, and only put the commonly used words relating to your site into it. For example, I would not put "exasperatingly good" into my keywords, as who would use that and how frequently. Keep keywords as relevant as possible, you will only gain respect from it.

Welcome to the forums, const. I'm sure I'll see you around making posts dedicated to music.Anyway, as abhiram said, this is a more professional forum ( ) than Xisto, so you might find it can be a little less humorous, although we always try.

That is very funny. And I mean piss funny. I have downloaded it and sent it to a lot of people already. Can't stop laughing.

I used to use fantastico for installing PHPBB and WordPress, the rest were obsolite. But then I found myself doing manual installs because of the versions within Fantastico being outdated.Although the applications are back and a noticable new one known as Joomla (or whatever it is called) they have been updated to their latest forms. However, I will still find myself doing it old-style. And soon, I hope to be righting my own scripts.

plot, if I am getting you right, then OpaqQue is very busy trying to reinstall everything. Just yesterday, he put GD back on. I'm sure that other scripts like it will also be put back on when he has the keyword - time.

Poll: Stem Cell Research Your opinions, please?
twitch replied to shaldengeki1405241473's topic in Science and Technology
I believe that if goes towards making us more and more resistant and unaffected by everyday problems, then so be it. Evolution is not depicted anywhere that it MUST be natural. Human intervention is going to happen sooner or later, and why not sooner. People who babble on about "we were made this way for a reason" is *BLEEP*. Why do you think mother nature wipes out a species every so often and replaces it with a better one.My niece was born with some very rare syndrome - Cornelia DeLange. It affects her in so many ways that it is very disturbing. If stem cell research were to go ahead fully with the backing of eveyone, then these very rare genetic disorders can be prevented, letting the people live as normal lives as possible.People often say that it will lead to designer babies. In my eyes, I see nothing wrong with this. If a couple (married or not) want a baby that has blue eyes, green hair and sixty legs, then so be it. It is just another step in the evolution process. However, this may lead to secondary problems and such, by tampering with the genetic coding, so it is ill-advised at this moment in time. -
Organ, you mus be living in a secluded place.3G has hit the UK very heavily, especially with the company 3 coming into action. However, where I live within the UK is very mucked-up on the transmissions scale. I live between several major cities, that have very power transmitters, they cross directly over Wakefield, which gives a slighlty limited service. Many people that I know who have tried the service prefer and have gone back to 2.5G

This is a strange thread, because I read in an article that Atlantis may not be anywhere near the Atlantic ocean, rather near the bay of Mexico instead, where root forms of the word Atlantis can be found.Atlantis, as a myth has always facinated me. The prime of Greek technology and logical thinking at one point. A place submerged by tectonic activity or a tidal wave of some sort. I personally think it was a massive city on one of the small islands in the Atlantic ocean, a place where greeks had ventured to, away from the main land. If this so-called Atlantis was built, it would be strategically more sane to put it in the middle of no-where, to protect against Roman uprising. If anybody is unsure what Atlantis is thought to be like, the imagine several concentric circles. The circles are the walls, creating small sectors within each part. When I say small, they are thought to be very large, city-sized spaces, where clusters of villages could be based.
