  1. The only way to reduce your warning is making us sure that you will stop posting copied text and you will stop spamming. Then a mod could accept to reduce your warning.Regards Yordan
  2. Should be in your mail.Also have a look in your account at Xisto, you should see your service status being pending and then OK.
  3. Simply choose the "Logic Plan" hosting. It's suitable for most of us. If you reach some of the limits of this hosting plan, you can increase it at any moment (add more databases of disk space for instance) or you can switch at any moment to the "Logic plan pro", which has almost everything unlimited.Hope this helped.Yordan
  4. You should stop thinking like that. If you want to be an IT engineer someday, you most cope with the fact that most of personal computers are currently sold with IE.A lot of important applications (for instance reading your account balance in your bank or asking something to Social Security people) are optimized for IE6, and very often simply stop working with other browsers. That mean that each website you design must first work with IE6, and then of course work faster and be nicer with more modern browsers.
  5. Now we should not talk about PHPBB2 any more, because the current version is PHPBB3.Rather similar, of course, and still free. However there are some differencies, security holes removed and the way security is implemented is also slightly different.
  6. OK, it's exactly like the Unix Shell "exit" instruction inside a shell-script, or the "exec" in a C language program : everything below this line is ignored.
  7. I removed the 20% warning.Please try again.
  8. I removed the warning, it was due to your double-posting.

    Notepad++

    My favourite feature is the fact that Notepad++ directly opens source files coming from a Unix Machine.Standard Notepad shows Unix files as a single-line text, which is really painful.So, each time I can, I nfsmount the Unix sources filesystem on my PC and edit my programs with NotePadd++.
  10. No problem.So, my name is YordanMy dream is : being really as clever as I feel myself.

    Notepad++

    I use the portable version of Notepad++, so I have it on my USB flashdisk along with my files, no need to install it when I switch from my PC to a friend's one.And I have no plugin, si everything remains very portable.
  12. And of course on your Xisto account it's "www" !
  13. Have a look for instance here : http://forums.xisto.com/topic/97469-topic/?findpost= If you have a look one of your topics in the forum, under your name, you will see two lines, "my earnings" and "mycents". You have about $ 1.5 inside your MyCents account. This is one half of the cost of the monthly fees for a standard paid hosting account at Xisto. So, simply, while you are posting here on the forum, you accumulate MyCents. These gains are in your Xisto account, and are used each time you need to pay your hosting to Xisto. Everything is automatic as long as your balance is positive. The steps are very simple : you create an account at Xisto with exactly the same mail address you used for creating your forum account. Then, when logging to your Xisto account you will see that your account credit balance at Xisto is exactly the amount of MyCents you accumulated while posting. Knowing that, you simply order a standard service at Xisto (have a look at "Logic Plan" first) and you choose "MyCents" as payment mean. Choose a subdomain at xisto (for instance frazz86.astahost.com) and see how it behaves. If you have your own domain you can park it on your frazz86.astahost.com hosting; if you don't have a domain name you can simply purchase one from Xisto, exactly the same way. Please come back here if you need more info. Regards Yordan ------------ EDIT. Please be careful with spamming and double-posting. Having posts destroyed is very costly, and can lead to negative MyCents.
  14. OK, one more basic html tutorial, why not.However, you could have made an effort.The first tag you show is not defined.Ok, you said that <p> stands for "paragraph".But what does the "body" tag stand for? I saw that it is most of times omitted, so what is it for?
  15. Is it really named HT_Docs ? or simply htdocs? I know this name is very distro-dependent ; however in a lot of Linux systems, the directory names are case_sensitives, so can you please confirm that it's really HT_Docs ? With capital H, capital T, capital D and an undercore before Docs?
  16. You topic seems to concern talking about ourselves. That's why I moved it here, where it's place most probably is.RegardsYordan
  17. Teaching furtive ways for obtaining windows administrator passwords for a laptop is definitively against Xisto TOS. Concerning topics will probably be destroyed and the poster should be banned. Please do not play with this kind of stupid things.
  18. Briefly speaking, seems that you want to steal some files from a laptop, and hope the laptop owner cannot see that you accessed his laptop.Explaining how to perform that is forbidden by our Xisto TOS.Of course, you have seen on the TV that some clever secret agents know how to do this within seconds. None of us here knows how to perform this.
  19. Facebook decided that only registered users can see some pictures.If you make that non-registered Facebook users can see some of these pictures, you are against the law, and Facebook can go to court against your website host owner.
  20. You cannot post any part of a copyrighted software here, it's illegal, and it's against our TOS.You can only ask for help implementing or using it, if you can precisely describe what your problem is.
  21. install phpmyadmin, or use the one provided with your Xisto cpanel, and you will be able to administrate your database, see the users, connect as a user, etc...
  22. First connect to the database, this allows you to check that your user named 'a9466816_db' really exists in the database, and has the password you provided.
  23. If you are the owner of the pictures, you can use them on your website.If the pictures are not yours, you cannot.If you took the pictures from another website and you removed the watermatks from the stolen pictures, you cannot use them on your website.If the pictures are coming from another site and have watermarks and you do not have the owner's written permission, you cannot use them on your website.
  24. OK, now I understand. Even if you leave the watermark, you cannot use their images without having explicitly obtained their agreement. You must have official papers (made with help of a lawyer) allowing you to use these images. Else it's illegal to put them on your website, and you cannot do it at Xisto. I expected it the be clearly explained in our TOS, you can show only your own images (the holidays pictures you took with your own camera, showing only your family, for instance). All copywrited materials cannot be shown here.
  25. I don't understand your question.Are you asking if it's technically possible? Do you need us to tell you yow to add text to an image?Or are you asking if it's allowed by the Xisto Terms of Service?Please be more explicit.RegardsYordan
