First of all, did you finally succeed seeing the login screen ?And secondly, yes, this would be a great idea reporting the problem to Mozilla, especially if you can show two screenshots, one displaying the login screen with the other browser, and the second one with Mozilla not being able to display it.RegardsYordan

It's a browser display problem. Here is how it looks with Internet Explorer. annoy.htm You see at the right the Login square, asking for your email and your password. You can also go directly to https://support.xisto.com/ and give the infos (E-mail and password) found in the mail you are talking about.

Anyone Use Fast Download Servers For Any Source-based Game?
yordan replied to tgp1994's topic in Computer Gaming
Not sure this could be done at asta, because most cpu-intensive or i/O intensive or network-intensive accounts would be suspended. -
Check Your Hosted Websites And Cpanel [solved]
yordan replied to 8ennett's topic in Web Hosting Support
You don't really have to worry about that, but.. The physical server names are alpha, gamma, mu, etc... You can see it in the first page of your cpanel, "Server name". For instance, if you are hosted on gamma, at any moment you can have a look at the Server Status page on the Xisto main portal https://support.xisto.com/serverstatus.php and check that everything is OK on your server, et check the uptime for your server. -
It's partly free : you order a paid hosting plan, and you work in order to sustain your hosting. So, you give your work in order to get hosted. Of course, if you don't want to work in order to get an ad-free hosting, you should have a look at another site of the Xisto group : register at http://forums.xisto.com/qupis/ it's fully free and you only have a one-lie advertisement on the bottom or your website page.

Nice point, rather common when talking about such a universal genius. "Nikola" is probably the greek way of writing this first name. Nicholas is probably closer to the way Mr Tesla wrote his own name. And, personally, I write it Nicolas. This first name is rather common, probably coming from the same name a long time ago. And it's written differently depending from the local ways of thinking. You are emphasizing differences on the number of consonants. Just think what will happen in the countries where the vowels are not written!

Open a ticket at Xisto - Support and ask the question. However, I'm afraid the overdue issue is real, and you will have to post in order to earn enough for the back months. You ordered hosting at Xisto, they did the job, they will probably want to be paid.
-
You are not hosted at Xisto yet. Xisto is a post-to-host forum. You have to post on our forum, and then you will earn MyCents. with these MyCents you can order a paid hosting plan at Xisto. More info's here : http://forums.xisto.com/topic/96232-topic/?findpost=1064394946 first of all you should post five interesting topics in order to make the system start. As soon as you have enough MyCents, you can order a hosting plan. When your order will be granted, you will receive instructions for accessing to your cpanel, which is not where you tried to connect. Hope this helped. Yordan

Windows 7 Taskmanager Broken [solved]
yordan replied to grim reaper1666's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Did you try going to C:\Windows\System32 and clicking taskmgr.exe ?Or try start --> run --> C:\Windows\System32\taskmgr.exe ?And after that, try a viruscan with a standalone scanner, like ClamWin antivirus. -
@abcmei : please avoid double-posting, mods around here hate that. And do not forget to use quote tags if you really need to post copied text. @Quatrux : maybe it's not easy to extend the c: disk if you booted on this disk. I think that for this job you should better boot on an external disk (CD or flashdisk). gparted does that fine, and it's free, it boots off a CD or USB disk. Also see here : http://forums.xisto.com/topic/92590-topic/?findpost=1064366014

How did you pay for them? Probably not with MyCents.Did you choose a paid hosting plan and pay with PayPal?
-
I agree, this seems a sever statistics need, which can be fulfilled only by a server-side tool, and network traffic monitor available with your cpanel should be the best solution.

That's the problem. Java has to be available. Moreover, the same version of Java has to be available. I had tons of trouble when needing to use two programs on the same PC, one of them needing one version of Java, and the second one needing a different version. This cannot be solved. If you have such an issue with a C++ program, you can imagine fix it within a code evolution. If you have such java issues, you need to work with two keyboard/display units, each one with a different java version.

What do you mean by "Sell it to the students" ? The students are supposed to learn how to work by themselves, so they don't have to "buy" anything from you.Besides this, concerning the spirit of your topic, VB6 is interesting if you want to stick to the Crosoft world. If you want to work in the "open" world, you have to learn more standard languages, for instance you should learn how to use C or C++ compilers. Or lear how to use the standard databases (Oracle, MySQL, PosGre) and their interface with their embedded compilers or with php.RegardsYordan

Are you sure? I would say exactly the opposite. C++ is a standard language, which exists on quite a lot of systems, starting from your PC and ending with the huge AIX or Sun-Os machines. Portability is the key point of such compiled languages, and a philosophy of life in developers world. It creates a binary program which is executed very fast because the linker is optimised for a given hardware. And the code obtained needs nothing to be installed on the target system, which is not the case for Java which needs java to be installed and correctly configured. As a customer, when I have to decide which team I will order my next work from, I will choose the team which is able to deliver optimized C++ programs, because I will know these guys are experienced enough.

I love ClamWin antivirus. It has a standalone version, so you can put it on a flashkey and use it on your friend's computer directly from the removable media, no need to install it.

Remove Frontpage Extensions From My Hosting Plan?
yordan replied to tansqrx's topic in Web Hosting Support
As stated by enza, this has probably to be done manually. And this will be done as soon as you submit a ticket. -
windows (almost) all versions. Have a look at the "Your first computer" topic, some people around here already played with quite a lot of computers.
-
Usually, when a game freezes the computer, Alt-Tab pushes the game in background, and I can unfreeze it or restart it. And also, almost as usually, if the first Crl-Alt-Del did not unfreeze the game, the second one reboots the PC!
-
I didn't know Ctlr-Shift-Escape. I love it. It opens task manager directly, unlike alt-ctrl-del which is opening a pop-up window inside which you have to click "open task manager".

Great idea, thanks. Now both topics are merged as a single one.

Build Your Own Custom Linux Distro [on Suse Studio]
yordan replied to ysNoi's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yes, but... Is it a way of creating your own distro (create your own auto-install DVD in order to boot on it) or is it a way of customizing your Linux environment after having installed a standard Linux distro? -
If you right-click on the desktop, you can see "desktop icons", where you see checkboxes where you can check (if unchecked) "My computer", "network", "configuration panel" etc...This is the way to have "my computer" or "network" come back on the desktop.
