  1. i still have that big interest in the need for speed series although i personally think that need for speed undercover let the series slip. not because of the missions but of the fact that on the wii you couldn't get the buggati veyron and that in my opnion is what alot of people get the game for because they wanted to be able to race in that car and go to extreme speeds throughout the city. as well as using it in any races that you havn't completed after getting it for the simple fact that it would make things like the time trials much easier.i think as long as the games stick to the need for speed formula they are good, although they should have the same cars on the game throughout the different consoles, otherwise people get annonyed at the company for discriminating agaisnt the other consoles. in my opinion companies should not be able to discriminate between the consoles. its okay for exclusives but any other times is not good.
  2. need for speed underground in my opinion was one of the good need for speed games. becase it gave the games free roaming and the games without the free roaming element to me seems just too boring. for me its because it allows you to speed through the city instead of just being forced to race and that gets old. its strange even though it is a racing game, because it is set within a city you expect to be able to actually race through that city.
  3. i hope when they release the ps4 that they have it so you wear a headset and then you are fully emmersed into the game and you maybe actually walk about in the game and say have some gloves to control the arms inside the game. in my opinion that is much better than a controller anyday. i suppose the ps4 if it was like this would be a virtual reality console where it actually allows you to feel like you are actually part of the game. although i think you would have to set a time to have it save and turn off since otherwise you would be up for hours after when you usually go to bed.i think that they would give you a virtual watch which allows you to keep track of the time, and automaitcally sets itself to your contry time, getting the information from the local atomic clock.
  4. i prefer windows since it runs at the speeds i like and it also runs on my computer theres a reason for me not having a mac os the mac os can only go on apple hardware which is too expensive when you can build a computer cheaper and faster. the reason why there are more viruses that attack windows out there is because they have to be built to target certain files and structure since macs structure and files are different the virus can't be a virus since it one can't be ran since macs use different executable files and everything.windows is getting better almost everytime they release a os (i don't count vista as a os since it wasn't meant to be a full release ms just milked it). that is my opinion on the operating systems. i have never used a mac os so i can't really compare so if i seem a bit biased towards windows thats because its the only os i ever used.
  5. i am voting for other since windows 7 isn't on here, windows 7 is fast reliable and has alot of features. it has the stabilty of windows xp while keeping the looks of vista. and lets face you would only ever use vista for its looks since its bugs and glitches are nightmares to cope with. thats why i stuck to windows xp it ran better and stayed that way. vista required constant reinstalls to keep it running fast and reinstalling the enitre os was annoying so i downgraded, formatting stops vista from trying to stop you downgrading. which is another annoying thing about vista it tries to stop you downgrading to a better os.
  6. i like multi operating systems, besides the only thing for me that xp comes in handy for is to run 16 bit programs, but the majority of them can be ran on dosbox. so why should i have to use something by microsoft when thrid party people beat them to it. it does what you need and contrary to what you think you do not need to know programming to run it. all you do is type help and it gives you a list of functions and you just mount a drive (the folder where you game/program is).
  7. this appeals perfectly to my scrouge side, free vouchers money off random junk. in my opinion this is very useful, too bad you can't get 100% off anything from those stores. i d annoy them and buy a £500000000 thing and give them the discount voucher, they'd probably call the manager to check if they are allowed to do this sale. make sure that you also read the small print and conditions on them afterall they like to cover their backs with such things as spend £50 and get 15% off.i know most people don't like getting money off things but its a recession and everything you have to find a way i suppose of getting people to buy stuff so this must be a way how the shops are trying to do it. lure in us scrouges who like to horde our moeny *looks side to side trying to hide* afterall we may as well horde the money and get the interest on it. if i had enough money in back to live of the interest with more to spare i would never work. but in my opinion i would get bored so i would most likely have a job to pass the time.
  8. i personally find gimp to be too complicated when you compare it to programs such as firefox, which perform the same functionaltily but quicker and alot of people like the idea of being able to do things quickly. but i think for general purposes gimp is ok. and a good thing is by having more than one monitor you can put all of the different window things from gimp on different screens. this frees up your image modification space and also allows you to access different tools quicker than you would if you only had the one monitor.
  9. it really in my opinion depends on if you actually need to upgrade your bios, say if you need the update to allow a better processor to be run on your motherboard. another benefit can be extra features which unless you really need it isn't worth updating the bios for them generally it is best to not update you bios unless you are having problems with it and even then it is really risky. s do not rush into it and make sure you leave all of your computers resources free for the update to use and make sure that no one will accidently unplug the power causing it to crash.
  10. well i view volunterary euthanasia as okay but i do not like the idea of where someone else puts you up for it if you can't make the decision yourself. there is also the consideration that whatever deasease someone has might have a cure in the near future so then they are already dead so they can't recieve the cure. sure if someone is really old and maybe age is preventing them from actually living a live (like being hooked up to a machine to keep them alive) then i would call that acceptable, because that is not really a live.although if it is legalised then the fact is that you should need the approval of a certain number of doctors, because if a population suddenly dropped sharply simply because someone who doesn't want to live anymore say if they lost their job was allowed to be euthanised. there is also the problem of ethics of doing this since relgions and even normal people have a opinion on it. in any contry for it to be immplemented then it should be voted in that way the people defiently want it. its like how governments can pass laws that normal people don't like but politicians brought into power vote for it and they generally have a totally different opinion to people.
  11. well i like my geforce card for gaming it may only be a 9600 gt with 512 mb of gddr3 memory but it does its job and i have not run into any problems with it, runs perfectly and with a good amount of cooling in my system it runs at good speeds as well, i remember when i first got it gta iv would not run very fast and the game lagged big time on some of the lowest settings now with the cooling it runs without lag at mid-high settings which i say is a good result. so don't forget don't just really on power and speed alone. if you don't have good cooling then the card will run slower to prevent damage through heat, the reason they run slower in my opinion is because they divert power to cooling so less power being drawn by the processor the card runs below expected speeds.although i would probably any day get a faster card just not this instant since mine currently runs most games, if say when i get crysis 2 if that does not run how i want it to then that will most likely be when i opt for an upgrade. at least by then nvidia will have released better cards meaning the ones that were the best are cheaper making it easier for me to upgrade mine. i say my experience with nividia has been good so i do not see the need to go to another company. if i do get a ati card then it will only be if i hear good things about them and if they are good at the time and if my local computer store sells then i will get one. funnily enough this is what got me into using nvidia cards purely because my favorite computer store sold only them. but now they sell only ati so you can guess what i will move to in the near future.
  12. i say that since windows 7 is out which deals with all of the problems created by vista and improving its looks at the same time then there is no point in thinking about buying vista these days, since most people either did not like vista and went back to windows xp. some people will have of course like me stuck to windows xp until it got to the point where the system went all slow and had problems with certain features. windows vista requires alot of work arounds to get some programs just to run while windows 7 does not have that problem. although it did take a while for windows 7 to have windows xp sp3 added to the compatibiltly list for games such as grand theft auto iv.i say that windows 7 is a great leap over windows vista, it is extremely user friendly stylish and clones some of the features that people liked from windows vista, i suppose you could say that windows 7 is vistas looks and windows xps stability. by windows xp mode they mean a download from the microsoft website which allows programs from xp that do not run on windows 7 to run on it. think of it like virtual pc, it is not the actual os just enough to have the relevant features to run tose programs. genrally for 16 bit programs this is used since i know for a fact that the 64 bit version of windows 7 does not have the 16 bit basecode so those programs only work in virtualisation.
  13. with advertising on a website if i got it would there be a way to link say half the profits to my xisto account? and if you are really bothered about file hosting just use external links and then people just click your links there that link them to a location say on megaupload where you have your file.
  14. don't forget internal temperture affects a computer because the cooloer the components are at the faster they can run. computer componenets speed is usually temperture related. they will run slower when they need to keep cool as they have to adapt to the temperatures other wise they will have to shutdown the computer. you have to make sure that you control the airflow as well since at the bottom of the case fans should be bringing air in and at the top they should be sending air out. don't forget heat rises and thats why top fans should send air out. you do this and then you have a constant and balanced air flow. it needs to be balanced since if you allowed the cold air to be blown out then heat will build up but by getting cold air into your case and hot air out then it keeps it cool. even just having one fan sending the hot air out is good enough since the effect of air going out the top has a tendacy to pull more air in to fill the void.
