  1. Thanks for the warning! :PBut someone tell me, is this an illegal action? Sucking bandwidth? I mean, it's just wasting something of someone that they really need and you don't even care about the damage you have done. That should receive a punishment... at least.Banning an IP address is one punishment but wow... just sucking up someone's bandwidth!! Is it possible to track this IP and inform this to its Internet Service Provider company? I'm sure they will do something about it...
  2. Hmm... is Php_nuke a popular free-of-charge portal software? I've heard that it is... I don't know what else.Anyway, before you can do anything, post up everyday and upgrade your account. This will clear down some problems concerning 'disk space' issues. 20 megabytes to 150 megabytes! *hiccup* Bah... I hate hiccups
  3. Alright. Thanks for all your information and advice!! I'm going to make another thread because the question was answered: Not necessary to upgrade my BIOS
  4. I swear... I really read about an AMD and an Intel in two seperate computers that were on for a week or so. The AMD computer had to be rebooted a couple more time than the Intel did. If I'm wrong, either my eyes or brain is deceiving me... Also, what is waste energy? How can it be harmful? Hmm... I don't think I am liking my Pentium 4. It was bought about 4 years ago and maybe it's time to change? My computer has two memory sticks: 1 giga + 256 mega with an Intel Pentium 4, 2.0 GHz CPU. All I changed were memory sticks and the PCI slot cards (like GeForce FX 5700). What's going on? I can't play games as well as some other computers, which has worse system specifications than mine!! o_O
  5. Alright alright. Let's cut the talk about "games that have good endings and I recommend them to you". No, no. Well, here is my littl elist of games that have bad endings:1. Star Wars: Republic CommandoWow. I have to say this is the worst Star Wars game ever! The graphics are a little cheesy to me, well, because I ran all the settings on low. I wonder what the problem is with my graphics card? Anyway, the ending is about one of your comrades dying... or something like that. He gets ambushed and you and your other two commandos run to help him but get denied by the base commander. Why? Well, this is the ending - he's just another clone. So you get to fly off on your LAAT transport ship, talking to Yoda, and the game ends with stupid, cheesy, "Latin-ish opera-ish" music. Not just the ending sucks, the game is very unrealistic as well.I have to leave for school right now so I will have to post later. By the way, do not buy Star Wars: Republic Commando. It's a waste of time and money!!
  6. Hmmm.... alright. By the way, do you think games ever store information in the registry folders? I don't know how to back up such huge amounts of data. For example, my Star Wars Galaxies game is at least 1.5 gigabytes, plus another 1.5 for the Test Center version. I can reinstall Battlefield 2 again.Let's see... well, it seems that I have a lot of things to worry about. You know what, I think it's the CPU and the CPU heat sink/fan that are giving the problem. First, we know that the BIOS doesn't need to be upgraded... so what else?-Have been told that Pentium 4 CPUs hang when they cool down-So I shouldn't make it cool downAre there any options or settings that disable this 'cool down' feature? o_O
  7. Oh boy. The Incredible Machine. I played a demo version of it about 5-7 years ago. Back then, I didn't even know what Google was - nor what search engines were.Anyway, putting treadmills here and there, making the cat fall over the edge, etc etc. It was really fun and a good experience!! If it's too hard for you, then think simple. It's a puzzle type game where you have to think to beat the level.Heh, this also reminds me of old games, like Tetris... Yikes! Such an addictive game
  8. First, I thought The Urbz will be for PC and maybe a few other consoles. It never really came out for the PC though. No, I'm not familiar with it. But you can check out some walkthroughs at forums, game sites, etc. You know what, after searching for "the urbz" on Google, I doubt you can find one at all because most queries are about "help me on mission 4!" "looking for cheats!" "anyone help me? please?"Hehe
  9. Wow... this is somethine similar to my experience with the ACDSee. It would take so long to open up a picture through ACDSee and when I would close it, it causes some stupid error that causes me to close explorer.exe or reboot the computer.Well, thank God that I'm using Windows XP now. The previous Windows versions caused so many 'blue screens of death'.But hey, it says uninstall any extension plug-ins. That way, it won't crash your explorer.exe anymore.
  10. Yes. I prefer Pepsi over Coke. Pepsi is more... like... cool and pippy. LOL? Errm... can't describe it but I have to say it doesn't grind your teeth as much as Coke does. You know, when you slide your two rows of teeth against each other? They grind... Heh, I hope you guys know what that meant.Anyway, can you believe that we're just drinking chemicals and water? I mean... it's not fair! You can get 2~2.5 bottles of water. Somehow, it lures us to those two drinks when we're thirsty. *eek!* Weird..!
  11. Hmmm... it seems there is a good variety of worty FTP managers here! Well, the one I use is the WS_FTPLE, like chliyo said: It seems like a nice program - with a nice looking account wizard. However, I should try out that FileZilla. That company is going too popular!! Heh, I think they are looking at all the programs and just putting them into style-and-a-couple-better-and-more-features-than-the-original stuff. Hey, it's just a thought! XD But anyway, is the multi-file uploading a new feature? I've never seen that before. Or maybe it's something secret..? So it means if I have broadband, it will take me less than a minute to upload a hundred pictures? Well, something like that. But you get the idea...
  12. Optykal is right. You will need more details. Also, have you checked out the latest laptops and PCs? The specs are pretty average when it goes to power users but it's much better to buy your own computer parts, etc.Let's see... if I were you, that desperate, I would go with Alienware. However, it is pretty stupid that they want you to pay for your warranty. I have to say that Alienware is VERY money hungry. Just wants to keep every penny for your PC.Here are some guidelines if you haven't changed your mind on the branded PCs yet:1. Alienware: hardcore gamers / power users or computers2. Dell: More of SOHO (small office - home office) computers with average spec (by the way, what is the original word for specs? o_O) It's like a classic system if you aren't too much into gaming.3. Acer/Compaq: I don't know about these. Some of these branches in Bangkok have closed down. Not very popular these days but they're also not for the serious gamer-type systems. However, like others have said before, it is best to get your own computer. But! don't forget to post before you assemble your own if you have not done it before. You need plenty of experience and levelling-up in your computer hardware skills (lol j/k). Seriously, if you don't, you should at least take a good picture of where all the wires go with a camera. It will save you a good amount of money but it's a trade with time. It took me three hours to assemble my own computer but hey, it's gonna take a lot more than that for the computer to arrive You'll also get better with computers too!
  13. I have to say that it's really cool. However, I have some comments for ya:I would prefer a darker border but your border type is good enough. Maybe make them bold? If you are using Photoshop CS, you should try using the outline for your web page URL. It's a little hard to read.I prefer the bigger, darker "Christy".Well, that's all. Man, how I ever wanted a sig like those (I mean, images).
  14. Hahahaha!! Wooh!! This is so funny! I had the same problem since I was a kid. When I was typing in Word 95 and needed to change something in the text, it would happen the same thing like what happened to you!! :PYes, they're right. You'll have to press the "Insert" button, above your arrow keys. I learned of this about several years ago. Bah, what a doofus I am!! LoLIf it doesn't solve your problem, then you'll need a system wipe
  15. Simply: No Just like Jeigh said, nothing beats the fan base of the Halo series. Area-51 won't support multiplayer much and it's one of those story-mode-only games with limited multiplayer. Something similar to Global Operations... I really liked the singleplayer mode but I think Battlefield copied it.
  16. You wish. How are you going to drive cars just by making a fire? Is that what car engines are for? No... fuel is pumped into the engine and a chemical reaction produces a powerful burst of energy, which pushes up the piston. The piston, pushed upwards, opens up space to bring in fuel again. Then, the cycle is repeated over and over again. Putting fire in there will blow up the whole car. Not a good idea. Have you noticed solar-powered cars? Now THAT will definitely reduce the use of fossil fuels.
  17. You guys have to be really happy for me. I got a new computer case today!! The best thing is that they put in the power supply and three fans for me. I got it for 1890 baht, which is equivalent to approximately $47.25. Not a bad price. I will have to post a story and pictures later because it took me three hours to take out the motherboard/parts, clean them, and put them back in the new computer case. Man, it was hard work!! Also, it was my first time so I feel proud of myself Well, my computer is VERY cooled... three fans instead of two. Well, make that four. A fan on the side, power supply fan, back side fan, CPU fan. Uhhh, yeah. As I said before, look for my next post >_< It's probably gonna be tomorrow. I need to play some Battlefield 2 - I had 3 hours of looking around for hardware information at an IT mall. Thanks, dhanesh. It will be very appreciated Just let me know when you get that software! *chuckle* Edit: By the way, when I turned on my computer after I changed cases, there was a CPU error while boot up. It went something like this: *Warning* CPU error! CMOS checksum ... something Please go to BIOS and change settings... F1 Continue DEL Setup I turned off my computer. I connected my router (which I forgot to do) and my speaker cords. I turned on my computer again and it went like this: CPU Error! Loading default settings... F1 Continue DEL Setup Alright, so I pressed F1 and continued on. Now, something at Norton GoBack. It told me that the system clock was different than the one in the logs of GoBack. Hmm... weird. So I didn't care and told the logs to change to the way my computer clock was set up, meaning change the logs so it will be the same as my computer right now. Right before I editted this post, I found that it was 12:29 AM. What? No! It's supposed to be 6:35 PM. I double-clicked on the system clock and it showed 1 January 2002. What in the world happened?
  18. Uhm... what's a graka? Uh huh... *shakes head*
  19. Alright. So, that's what you call it? A computer hang? Hmm... alright then. First of all, I would like to show you some pictures. Don't forget to click on the thumbnail to read the stuff I wrote. Hmm... but more questions: 1. What does CPUCool do? Does it really cool my CPU? 2. I want to overclock my CPU (Battlefield 2 requires at least 1.7 GHz but I have 1.9. I think that's slowing down the Frame Per Second but I'm not sure if RAM is slowing it down too) What programs can I use? 3. Remember that my BIOS doesn't show any options about overclocking
  20. I have bought the game but it doesn't work on my computer. I think my DVD-Rom is kinda messed. I'll have to try again though. Also, can you explain what 'Halo killer' means?I've watched the trailer for Area-51. Wow, it's really fictional - Area-51 is just an outpost in the middle of an American desert. Workers go there and do stuff. Very secretive... I don't think there's an underground base there. No, sir.
  21. True, true. You kind of ringed a bell inside my brain. However, that guy was old. He had white hair and I think he is old enough. Also, able-bodied people can apply to be the streeth cleaners equipped with rakes. You can make a living with that but those kind of people had enough time to think of what to do.*nods*
  22. Heh. I have been using Xfire for a long time now. There was a raffle drawing of free Steelpad mousepads!! And I won!! A cloth mousepad worth $19.95. You can go to their site at https://steelseries.com/ You can also go to their site: http://www.xfire.com/ - Also, please sign up for their newsletter because they will update you about the hottest demos, games, movies!! I downloaded the FEAR Singplayer Demo movie there... it's awesome You also get the image that tracks what and how much you play your games. Two words: Get it!
  23. Okay MitchellMcKain. I kind of overreacted because someone was thinking "robots are like humans" but no. They is a clear line between robotics and humans. How? Robots are like computers. They take in information and what they don't need goes out, something like 'garbage in, garbage out' (GIGO). And they are automated. They do not have free will and all those movies about humanic robots are just "programmed". Remember this! Their cybernetic brain receives information and tells how to respond. Robots cannot think. Nor can computers. This is similar to the best chess computer in the world. What is its sole purpose? To defeat the opponent. How? By looking at all the counter movements. If that pawn moves there, and I move this, he can move that knight, then I can move my queen here, and by doing that, that player can either move the pawn or his rook.Yes, the computer can look at up to 64 counter movements and choose the best move. Of course, since you can't look at what the computer is trying to do, you won't really move your pieces to counter that movement-procedure.Even though you give that chess computer a human look by attaching bone structures, organs, blood, and flesh, it still won't be a human. Not even CLOSE to being considered a human BY FAR. Wait, make that NEVER. Never close to human. What makes humans stand apart is that we're created by God. We are similar to animals, we have instincts, are unique, we can reproduce, have free will, have souls, etc etc. Robots, computers... they're just slaves to what they are programmed to!!
  24. It's said that at least 8 million people in the world have MySpace. So, that means there are at least 8 million blogs in the MySpace thing. No, I don't have a MySpace and it takes longer time than usual to edit information, look at the pictures, etc. I don't know why they don't allow us to leech the pictures... maybe privacy?Edit: OOOpS!! I'm sorry - when you said "Space" I was thinking of "MSN Space"Hahhaa... sorry for the numbers - forget this post
  25. Wait. I never said I was going to flash/upgrade my BIOS because I wanted to overclock my RAM and CPU. I get the blue screen of death - after my computer just shuts off power by itself, sometimes. It's really frustrating because I have to run Norton GoBack and restore my drive. It happens every other month or so. Anyway, here is what I get. Not running much applications but my CPU is at 48 degrees celcius. Is that fine? Edit: Also, I made up my mind: I am not going to upgrade by BIOS because I don't understand the risks and all that. Anyway, why program do I need to overclock my CPU/RAM/FBS? ***IMPORTANT*** While I'm playing some graphinc/memory-intense games, like Battlefield 2, something weird happens every now and then. While I'm moving forward, something happens. I change directions to strafe left to avoid an enemy but I keep moving forward. No matter how many times I press the 'A' button (for strafing left), I keep going forward. Sometimes, my computer would make a "beep" sound (not the speakers... the computer). If I scroll my mouse scroller, it would make continuous "beep" sounds. After 2~5 seconds, I can freely move around. That "beep" sounds don't come anymore until 5~10 minutes later. What's wrong? I heard from my friend that my CPU is at something like 80 degrees celcius. Is that true? What should I do? o_O
