  1. Well, Bugdom is a third-person game, but it may work well for first-person gaming too, but I really couldn't tell you. It doesn't seem like it would be the best thing for FPS's or flight sims, but if you're playing third-person games, you'd porbably like it. If you aren't the gamer, it's still a great mouse, because you don't have to pick up the mouse and plop it down again if you run out of room on your desk. The only downside is that you ahve to clean the ball every now and then because it tends to get greasy from your hand, but who cares?
  2. I recently discovered this article. I'm seriously considering taking at least some of these steps. Already got iTunes... Anyone else interested in this?
  3. Well, the Mac Mini is only $499, but it doesn't come with a monitor, keyboard or mouse. If you want to pay extra and just get all at the same time, the eMac an extra $300 bucks. I don't really see their prices as really unreasonable, except for laptops. For a 12-inch iBook G4, you have to fork out $999...yikes. I really wish they had a $799 laptop....
  4. Just curious, but is anyone else a fan of trackball mice? I personally would like Kensington's Orbit. My uncle has a similar one hooked up to his iMac, and it's great for playing Bugdom.
  5. I mostly use AIM, but I maybe getting MSN and Yahoo accounts soon. As for clients, I don't use AOL's, I use Gaim. It's very nice, and it also supports Jabber, MSN, a few others (possibly Yahoo), and even IRC.
  6. I currently use Norton, but when my update subscription expires next month, I'll start using AVG.
  7. Here are mine... Mozilla Calendar 0.8.1+ A calendar client based on iCal standard Web Developer 0.9.3 Adds a manu and toolbar with various web developer tools. ChatZilla 0.9.68a A simple, straightforward Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client.
  8. No, not the Athlons they're currently making, the Athlon64s. They all use the AMD64 architecture, although x86 stuff will still run on them. So, you can run an x86 OS on them, but it'd be better to a version optimized to take advantage of its 64-bit architecture.
  9. I don't think you can buy any PowerPCs to build your own PC. However, some people have figured out how to install Linux on Xboxes (clicketh), and they'll probably figure out how to do it on Xbox 360s, which will have PowerPCs. Otherwise iff, like me, you REALLY don't like x86, go with an AMD Athlon, which uses AMD64 architecture. Very nice.
  10. The 12-inch iBook G4 is a good choice, if you're willing to shell out $999 (Apple should really introduce a $799 laptop). If you want processing power, go with an AMD Athlon. If you just want something cheap and reliable, go with an AMD Sempron. Please, for everyone's sake, don't go with an Intel!
  11. My Bubba is an Enpower Nitro custom-built by the guys from PC Club, with an AMD Athlon64 1800+, a half a gig of RAM, and an 80 gig hard drive, and I usually get to the XP Home login screen within 45 seconds.
  12. Well, some day when I get an iBook, I will. However, my G3 iMac (Maclena) is on the fritz, and my PC (Bubba) doesn't really need much pampering...but I'm gonna have AntiVirus do a full system scan and defrag my drive again sometime soon.
  13. Yup, read this in a newspaper a couple weeks ago. He'd have to be an idiot to not even have a cup of water....or just play that long nonstop.
  14. thedevil: If you look at the facts, the Apollo missions would have to be on the moon. All the evidence with the photo quality and stuff like that... destinyblue21: First off, there's a button that says "Caps Lock" and should be on your keyboard. Second, why the heck would we be helping Osama?
  15. I personally recommend TargetPoint. They're nice, and I haven't heard any horror stories about them, like with AdSense...
  16. First of all, the X-1 may not have been the first plane to exceed the speed of sound; it's believed that a two weeks earlier, an F-86 Sabre prototype broke it in a shallow dive. Anyway, Area 51: Yes, it's a site at Nellis AFB in Nevada. As for what there, probably ultra-secret stuff...such as the Aurora, if it exists. That's probably where the F-117 and B-2 were based too. But with all the security, it kinda makes you wonder...
  17. I'm a purist, so I fell the shortcake could go without the Strawbewrries, but still: yum!
  18. Blogger allows for it. Go to blogger.com, click the "Change Settings" button, and click the "Site Feed" tab. It's all there!
  19. Well, the AMD's better partially because they're 64-bit processors, versus a 32-bit Intel chip. Also, I believe the overheating problems were fixed... Anyway, I have an Athlon64 1800+ on my PC, Don't do much gaming, but it pwnz.
  20. First of all: IPB is made by Invision Power Systems, and vBulletin is made by Jelsoft. I dunno what the phpBB guys call themselves..I just know their product sucks. >_< Anyway, I like Jaia Interactive (aka Daniel Murdoch), which has the MyTopix forum software, which t0t4lly pwnz.
  21. ....You mean me? I've gone to the sight, but I'm stuck with dialup, so the download would be horrible.... >_<
  22. Personally, I think it should be illegal to talk on a cell phone while driving, unless you have handsfree equipment. It just causes so many accidents...
  23. Yeah, I think the price of CD's could and should go down a bit, but seriously: if all music was free, how the heck would musicians make a living?
