Your right actually, I have a nephew who is 10, and he is able to pull off more hours of computer-time than I have, and I am 18. I got my first computer at the age of 11, which was just before I went to junior high? something like that. Anyway, all he (my nephew) does is playing counter strike :|.... I can't say that I was such an outdoor kid when I was younger, but I certainly did not spend three quarters of the day indoors, I used to be outside, playing and building cool treehouses .It is really weird, but after I got my computer, i got out less and less. Also, I seriously think it's bad for kids to computer so much. What I can see about my nephew is that he's showing signs of lacking social skills, he's kinda shy around people and stuff. Did you play alot around with (re)installing new network connections? If you do that a lot you end up having a lot of unused connections, the best thing to check which connections are actually used and remove the unused ones. Tor's a proxy serv, you only need one of those. Also, you don't need a client, just setup your browser/mailer/mirc to use the socks server.

I've had something similar like this. My old comp had some soundcard which win98 se had standard drivers for. However, those drivers sucked, so everytime I tried to play anything, it simply didn't. Without stuff vizsky mentioned before, my not so random guess would be to try to install the new drivers for your soundcard.

It's recommended to clean your computers interior once in a while. Because after a while the fans start to collect dust and the temperature of your hardware will rise because of that. If you don't clean once in a while, the hardware will heat up more and will have a shorter lifespan.
