  1. I understand your reasons for the topic, and it's quite funny in it's own way. I don't really feel something for a moral debate since this has been discussed over and over again on almost every other forum I was on and at school.I wasn't pointing out that downloading is illegal though, although it probably sounded like it. Of course filesharing could be used for legitimate purposes, but be honest, usually it isn't.I suppose I was a little inconsistent here, since I did my amount of posts in that topic about secret bittorrent usage you talked about . No excuses can be made, although I read the 'Shouldn't be taken to seriously' part, I still took it a bit too seriously.ps. Hm.... BitComet seems to have crossed the 100GB "Total Downloaded" value today.
  2. Well, what do you know... I just happen to be planning to buy a new rig with 4x 250GB maxtor drives Did anyone else start to wonder why people are offering more and more disc space for email accounts? As everyone here says, it's quite useless since noone is ever going to upload 1 TB with their 1 MegaBit connection or whatever connection. Isn't the only reason for all this is the popularity that one gets as having the accounts with the greatest space?
  3. Notice from jipman: Topic started at 23 may, and still no reply from the topic starter. I think it's justified to close this one down.
  4. Euhm... rubenEven if you download yourself, you shouldn't try to get someone else to do criminal activities (which, I'm honest at because it is illegal). Some people just want to have a clean conscience (did i spell that right?), which you just have to respect. If someone askes you how to fileshare/p2p/whatever, then I, and i think everyone can explain/help without any hesitation, since you are NOT the one who started it.There's no need to convince anyone that filesharing is good, this is indeed a moral issue and everyone has their own thoughts about it. Also, why would you persuade anyone to start filesharing? You don't gain anything by it so unless the person asks you themselves it would be silly to walk up to a person and say: "filesharing is good, you should do it too"...ps. Can't say I'm innocent though, got 2 harddrives of 160, and managed to fill m up in 2 months..... Ahh well... nevermind
  5. Euh... There's a button to delete the IE history didn't you know? Anyway, if you can't delete a file which you are supposed to be able to delete, it's in use by something. So what you can do is just close that program (as mentioned above) or insert a line into the autoexec.bat that can be found in your C:\ directory.eg. del c:\cant_delete_this.txt autoexec.bat is a batch file that is executed everytime just before the system is fully boot up (should be already existing in your c drive)
  6. No worries, all you need to do is just ask him and it will be done. SSH access is one of the most usefull inventions of the computer age :)btw. mse, aren't you a admin?
  7. Houdini, that's not the point, hiding sourcecode is usually used to prevent people ripping off other peoples layouts and designs. Also, there are some javascript sourcecode scramblers that can give a certain degree of safety against most of the people who try to rip off. They work like this:the entire website is put in one string, that string is then encrypted by some kind of encoder. The encoder puts a decoder (java script) and the string into a html file. So if you check the source you only see a javascript code and some encrypted string, most people stop there. The thing is, isn't there any plugin available for FireFox that somehow shows the output of the javascript in the source. That would be possible wouldn't it? All you need is a javascript interpreter that displays the output.Side note. Most people don't appreciate encrypted site like that which will result in a low visitor number.
  8. fyi, xboxrulzthe url doesn't work(http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/)
  9. @ViriiguyIt has nothing to do with the bloody headphones, he just stated that in the startpost.I think the contacts inside the hole for the output are goofed up or kinda got loose or something, try bending the contacts outside for a bit to have them make good contact again.
  10. I've started playing Rose Online this afternoon, although it seemed like a zelda 64 adventure ( graphic's and gameplay wise). For some weird reason I couldn't stop playing :). Also, I really think that rose shouldn't qualify as a MMORPG because the interaction between other players is not too much. The basic gameplay is just that you have to kill certain cute looking 'monsters' and levelling up (as in every other normal rpg). Quests usually consist of killing a certain number of a certain type of monsters in order to get some kind of reward.ps. About having to pay every month in order to play a game is a real pathetic concept. Basically you pay 40??? dollars for a game, and an additional fee to play.ps2. Glad that rose is having an public beta atm, so you can play for free for a while.
  11. Here something realistic:Try gathering around some other people who want to help you. If you want to make all these by yourself, you're probably be busy for more than a year. Unless you've got a lot of time ofcourse, but even then it would be a tight race against the clock.Oyeah... try working on one thing at the time.
  12. Don't know if you guys realize, but the Naruto fillers are going to last untill the end of this year. Talking about fast.... You know what, not Naruto nor Dragonball are on the animenfo top 10: My personal favorite is the #2, just all action is quite boring and I do appreciate a good story once in a while. So no more dragonball , since you can't really expect an 9 year old anime to be still #1. ALthough i do have to say that it was a classic, everyone knows dragonball. btw. Naruto, don't tell me you watch english dubbed versions of everything? Anime is best watched japanese with english subs, believe me. edit: Dragonball is ranked at 196. Naruto is ranked at 22 ps. If you like Naruto, try watch Bleach, it is of the same genre as naruto and doesn't have as much fillers.
  13. Nope, broken bios is one of those things that are classified as NON fixable :)Try contacting the shop where you bought the mobo or maybe Chaintech self and hope they send you a new one.
  14. I thought every dragonball character was already present in a game, with the number of those kind of games released ... :|.What do you like somuch about those games anyway? The gameplay is the same, maybe the graphics are better but that's about all the new stuff in it I suppose.
  15. Sounds like you're expecting to have someone tutoring you:P, which is impossible .I'm a freshman at the Delft University of Technology and we've started working on java there too, we use a book called "object oriented programming with java, an introduction from David J. Barnes", it's a very good book and it explains a lot in detail. Downside is that the price is a bit high (somewhere around €60). But ofcourse... ahem.... there's probably a.... cough cough... pdf...cough cough... around somewhere.
  16. People start to underestimate the power of paper.1. Paper doesn't have defective pixels2. Paper can have a lot of damage and be still readable, try that with epaper3. Paper doesn't need a powersource4. Paper lasts much longer than a screen5. Paper can be folded and put away6. Paper is cheap and it is throwawayable.7. Paper can be written on with about everything, you don't need a special stylus.8. Paper can cut in about every size thinkable, and therefor has a lot of uses, tags, covers etc etcHere ends my reasoning about why paper owns.
  17. Notice from jipman: Don't start posting these oneliners please, it's useless and lame both at the same time.If you feel the need to reply, at least reply with something longer than 5 words and a number.
  18. 1. CS is not a fighting game, it's called a FPS, first person shooter.2. I expect that there should be at least 5+ topics about CS3. work on your typo's4. Try to post more usefull posts nextime.5. About CS, I think almost everyone knows it, it's a bloody classic. Also, you don't need a cd to play counterstrike because you use STEAM, some online multiplaying client thingy. If you want help because you can't run your copy of cs anymore, ASK. Used to like the game a lot, quit playing where there were too much cheaters around
  19. Well .... ok... nice... what are we supposed to do about it then???????????
  20. Breaking? Dude, I think You better check up on your sources http://arstechnica.com/apple/2005/09/nano/3/ Those things real solid for their size. And some people just want a mp3 player, not a whole BIG *bottom* huge PSP thing. I'd go for nano, it has a colorscreen, and about the scratches. That's really bull. You can't expect something NOT to scratch if you put an ipod and your bloody keys in one pocket. Anything will scratch, either put your ipod in a pocket without sharp objects or buy some kind of ipod protection sock thing. ps. Killer008r, i'd like to see some references to an ipod breaking :|.....
  21. Welcome to the team.Goodluck moderating, you'll need it
  22. How do you compress 153 episodes of 24 minutes (dragonball) to 5.5 GB.... Kinda amazing. Do you use the RealMedia encodes or something?I prefer divx'es or xvid's.
  23. Notice from jipman: I'd say The usefullness of this topic has lost it's usefullnessA lock might be appropriate here.
  24. Which is not really possible, even the lowest quality version of dragonball already takes up 29 gigs of space.
  25. What is wrong with dragonball GT????I liked the kid goku there much more than the original one, it doesnt have as much baby fat and a bit more muscles and a cooler suit.
