Advice On Eliminating Audio Noise, Please?
spacewaste1405241471 replied to banjosforpeace's topic in Hardware Workshop
Hmm....I've thought this through...and it may be the speakers themselves?...It seem that that or the mother board is the problem...Try plugging in a different set of speakers to test it out? -
Astahost Ftp for hosted users
spacewaste1405241471 replied to rapco's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Ugh...... Ok two thigns you cna type as the ftp server that will let you log in for sure are Xisto.com or ur cpanel username.astahost.com (type those inside hte ftp host slots if you have a ftp program... Then type ur cpanel user name as the user name slot and ur cpanel password as ur password slot... The server port for ftp is 21 (which is default for ftp hosts) If you are trying to log in through internet explorer type Xisto.com or yourusername.astahost.com and then a message will pop up...Click ok...Then right click the screen and hit login as... and you should be all set And for n e body who hasn't caught on yet yourusername is just a example -

Ack...Last post for the night...Umm yes the MYsql program seems to be havign some problems that I'm sure Opaque will look into but for now its up and running again...I dunno how it will be 2morrow though...Hopefully well and for your website problem it might be the flash coding if you are using a flash intro...Make sure hte flash intro coding is correct...I believe there was a previous entry posted about that just today? Not sure...Oh wellHope that helps out a little...Night All -
Yes webguide that is completly correct infact...Dreamweaver if I'm not mistake can even edit the pages to help you make them w3c compliant which would be really helpfull in a situation like this...But when you try to make something compatible for all three types of browsers...You might have to remove some features....So maybe designing three different types might not be sucha bad idea?...
-
yes I'm satisfied now....That was quite the amazing post...I don't know where you found the time to put it all 2gether but it's damn good man...Sorry I thought it was forged...But I've seen a lot of forged tutorials on here just had to make sure... Sorry again man... But can I ask how long you've been working with linux for?

good god that looks long and copied....Meh though anothereven funner and easier way to use windows and linux is to download my favorite linux distro topologilinux or something like that....you just install it through windows and then once installed it will give you dual boot options...No need for partioning and it's a project that is being maintened!!! ...I think it works best on NTFS cuz on fat 32 I'm pretty sure it could only create a linux os that has only up to 5GB's...so yeah hopefully you have ntfs ...And ummm...I like to use the previous version and not the newest...I find the newest to be kinda buggy still but meh good luck and hope you try it

Advice On Eliminating Audio Noise, Please?
spacewaste1405241471 replied to banjosforpeace's topic in Hardware Workshop
First...Check to make sure there aren't any products within the computers range that could be causing some sort of interference... Second check the fan for possible things stuck inside it....If that doesn't work try replacing the mother board but first get a second opinionAlso...Have you noticed any slowdownage of your computer...Could be a virus making your computer have to use more processes then it should... But it sounds like a CD-ROM problem...Try taking all disks out of the computer and then restarting it? -
Macs Vs. Pcs In College Labs
spacewaste1405241471 replied to pluperfect's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Hmmms...In the begining of time...The pc was just a rip off of the mac... And now look...The pc is killing the mac in almost all computer stores....But the mac is slowly making a comback...In another 20 years we should see much improvement to the mac to pc difference... and to the topic at hand...Most people only use pcs because they are MUCH less complicated to use and lets face it...Most of the world are not very good with technologie (the population in general) cuz inside my whole town I doubt more then 5 people own a mac computer... For the two reasons of lack of advertising and o complicated and expensive... Hopefully that will one day change... -
Hmm...I like black colors....Staring at something white for hours on end could really do some damage to your eyes...It'd be like looking at notepad for a hour or so each day....not a wise suggestionAnd yes....I like the black abdpurple thing you had before...And um... The choice of using dreamweaver was a wise one...Its a easy program to edit with...But what are you using to edit your pictures?

Flaws In MSN Search according to me :-)
spacewaste1405241471 replied to OpaQue's topic in Search Engines
pft...You are all windows bashers lol....First of all I can name one AMAZING PRODUCT that have come out of microsoft...HALO 1...So they messed thigns up on halo 2...I'm pretty sure 3 will be the greatest...And yes one thing that I'm quite pissed about is that MSN merged with SYMPATICO (my internet connection ) and now it's so much harder to access information about my account...But I must admit with this new merge sympatico can now give even faster internet connections for cheaper prices...Plus with all of microsofts space...It's kinda a win win lose win situation lol...And yeah about the Windows being bad...I ask of you how many of you actualy use windows yet bash it...Cuz I use windows and I know it's not the best...But I don't constantly bash it...It's a decent Os and if you know how to mulnipulate it right...And maybe get yourself a freaking ad aware program and anti virus program and spyware program...And not go 2 crap sites that will obviously attempt to mess with your computer.. Then you shouldn't have any problems... -
Hmm...I didn't know the cpanel user name was manditory...Could have sworn it was optional..Or atleast I see many people without it lol...Eh though one of the reasons it could be there is incase you ever forget it or something...Not exactly sure...Maybe it's for identification...Take it up with the admins...I see no security hole inside the matter though... It's not like any of us have a brute forcer program...Or even if we did we wouldn't hurt our own hosting site...That would be pointless...But If somebody did attempt to do sucha thing...Well...I pitty them...Cuz revenge is sweet lol...l8r

Guesss What Another Hole In Ie
spacewaste1405241471 replied to RGF's topic in Security issues & Exploits
lol yes....I've seen a few people with that banner ;)But hmm...About the microsoft bashing bit...Microsoft can't afford to give away their Os' for free...Do you know how many people exactly work for microsoft?....IT's a damn high number...And they are paid weekly just like the rest of the world...If they were to stop selling the Os then honestly...I doubt anybody would be making money. And one of the reasons they can't clean their code is because SOOOO many people use microsoft apposed to say Linux that they spend their time targetting windows and not the other systems...For example have you ever noticed that (if you have norton...I dunno about other anti-virus protection programs) when you get a virus and you look up information about it it says linux systems will not be affected and this is primarily for windows...Well thats because the ratio of people who uses windows and people who try to improve windows is way off...To many people attacking it and not enough trying to fix it...For linux on the other hand there's just the same amount of improvers as users...Or maybe a little less...But I know that there aren't as many attackers as users or improvers and thats the basic concept...Meh though thats only my opinion on the matter...l8r -
Arg... Time Problems
spacewaste1405241471 replied to spacewaste1405241471's topic in Web Hosting Support
K problem solved....Your server time is just not gmt it's like gmt +3 I THINK so I just found a portal that could compensate for the difference.... and voila! fixed... I just had to add +3 hours to the portals gmt to make the gmt 0 So then when I I set the normal gmt time it is at -5 and not -2 -
Hmms...I dunno if this is a problem that can be resolved cuz I think it might be a server-side problem that Xisto would have to change but...I will post it anyways...Ok for my website (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ All the times are not what they should be...Like say I want my time for the forum posts to be gmt -5 I have to change my damn time to gmt +4 (gmt being my local time..And the local time for most of the visitors that are going to be coming 2 my site...A site for local friends) I don't know if this can be resolved but any help would be greatly appreciated...The current settings for it are at gmt +4 so inside the chatbox you should be seing my local time (gmt -5) and the date time thing around the top right corner...it's javascript that just takes the time from your computer so thatw ill always display your time...So don't think that there is no problem just because that time is correct for youThanks, spacewaste
