Dude...It's nothing...trust me my zone alarm has a 6digit number for blocked access attempts...if your on a network that could trigger it...Also since you reformated you are probably gunna get all the same attempts as last time aswell cuz they need 2 all be reblocked n such.Also since you just reinstalled microsoft will probably tend to check for updates a lot so the number incline will slow down soon enough. Also since you've just reinstalled your computer is much more vulnerable to attackers then before...So a lot more attackers so your computer on the net, n try to attack it...Try changing your windsows firewall to...Finaly...check the log to see exactly what ips are trying to access it.If it's the same ip's over again they are most likely not causing you harm...Espicialy if they are for like windows and stuff...and the ip's 127:0:0:1 or 192:168:1:XXXSo yeah...Just check your log files

Whenever I try to change my prefs for the e107 website hosted on Xisto i get a 406 error. I know its not a problem with the script, because I did a clean install of e107 to test it and it gave me the exact same error...I also got it when I tried updating my webblog for the site...But now the webblog works...But I still can't update my prefs...I'm pretty sure it is a server side problem...But could somebody please give me info on ways I could correct this. Thanks

Ack...Well for the begining of this post...Gawab only offers those 2084mb emails to egypt n those surrounding areas....N the 1001mb account is nice but it doesn't offer smtp....Which is what I really needThe bluebottle one seems like the best mentuioned so far considering it has smtp n pop3 but I can't seem to login to the account I made at the moment so that has me questioning things to :)I say just stick with a 1gb account...If you want more then that then ur power hungry...But a really good way to transfer large files is to put it in torrent form and then you can just leave ur comp on n access n download it from another comp ;)Stick to google guys...IT's fast, simple, good for organisation, barely noticeable adds , and you can always convert it into a online drive :(But you know it would be nice if somebody could post email services that have smtp support and about 250mb's of storage or more :(thnx

I think the only reason people started using "www" was that when the net was just becoming popular seing www inside the link made it seem cool cuz www stands for world wide web...So people must have been in aww about it...N back then typing http://www.something.com/ was ezer then typing http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ cuz back then browsers didn't send you someplace directly if you just typed something.com...You always had to type http:// or www.

Waht exactly do you mean one forma website?...Like did you download one from a certain website and are tryign to install it onto your account...? Cuz that could etheir be because you are doing something wrong or the fact the mysql could be down... What error do you get?

Don't worry about it whenever something along those lines happens...IT tends to happene very so often and then fix itself within the hour...If ever it happens and the problem lasts several horus then send a pm 2 the mods n admins n we may be able to informe you about the situation...For now this topic is CLOSED though

I wouldn't even consider paris hilton to be a super star....I don't even see how people can consider her good looking...Cuz like thats disgusting, but thats just my opinion lol....N well hotmail n gmail will always be able to be hacked no matter how much secutiry is put into it...Espicialy hotmail, cuz nobody really likes hotmail...Espicialy l8ly with all the "server 2 busy" messages, but with gmail since it's new it prob has a lot of vulnerabilities to it....and soon enough people were start finding ways to emss with it...For example the "turning your gmail account into a online harddrive"...there's a perfect example but yeah...People might not explot google considering how loveable it is n such...So only the saddistic bored hackers will do that....

As k22 said mysql.org is a great one and also Xisto has a free db hosting server, and Xisto is a lot more secure then if you were to install mysql onto your computer Trust me I've tried it and it's a damn hassle!...Espicialy on windows boxes I'd say if you wanna host your own though go with http://dev.mysql.com/

Because sometimes people just type the www directly and at those times there r alot more room for extra connections and more processing speed available so it can process ur command faster then if everybody were doing the same thing as u n not including wwwI personaly never include www but thats cuz I can stand 2 w8 a few seconds more

Hey...This is more likely a question for admins who have full database access, But I'm wondering if anybody knows where exactly image magik is located for each user...?Cuz the hosting package says that it's available...But I can't seem to find it, and I need to know where it is for my website, cuz I'm going to be using image magik to resize the avatars n such...So any help would be appreciated :)Also...If it isn't installed, Could somebody maybe give me means to install itThnx... :)Night

Hmm...I really dont' think that's what they had in mind. The person who started this thread is looking for ideas on how to design a big art museum and I think he wants resources as in links to sites that offer knowledge of revolutionary ways to design art museums that would completly change the way they are currently designed... For example the circular museum that was mentioned above. Unfortuantly I'm only 15, so I can't really help you with that ...But if it means anything I plan on maybe becoming a civil engineer...Or some kinda engineer meh...Good luck with the search though... l8r

There are quite a number of people on this forum who do not know PHP so it would maybe be wise to include a help file with that zip.....it is a good code thoughIf you do chose to make the help file make sure to say that if somebody already has a index file made they should just copy paste what si included inside the index's that come with the zip file to the include section (which is at the top of the php file) of the php file they want to browser protect...I myself am not that well with php so thats why I suggest the help file...Still it is a pretty good ideathnx

you may not be able to host your website but could you maybe use gmail to host for example images or files and then have them link to your website through google? hmm...that would be pretty nice if you could :P

Welll...technicaly you can already get google webspace for free but I'm not sure if you would be able to get it to host your website....The thing with gmail is...You can turn your e-mail account into a virtual webdrive... so like you'd have about a gig of free space where you could store your things

Good god you people are very unfortuanate lol...In canada or atleats in ontario where I live internet acces is quite cheap and really nice My dad pays around 40$ a month for a connection of 1.5mps which equals to about 250kb/s of downloading or abotu 150 on average, plus our service is upgrading all our accounts for free to 3mps and upgrading the account class one up form us from 3mps to 4.5 or something like that and we have unlimited bandwitdh...And I know you guys are thinkign like unlimited bandwitdh=impossible right? well I dunno how my service does it but they are good :PI use sympatico...A company that just merged with msn if you haven't noticed on msn website...And I think thats why we are aloud to upgrade cuz msn's giving us even more speed ....Unfortuantly I think sympatico is for canadian resisdents only...If anybody else on this forum has sympatico say something about it...Cuz they are a good service ...Also cogeco is good but its a lil more expensive and you have to have cable to have it...And I can't get cable where I live. But one added bonus for people who don't mind breaking the law is that once you buy cogeco internet getting free cable is very easy....Cogeco should really find a way to stop that....Meh I think I'm done talking about my connection though... But I do gotta add this one last detail about it :Sympatico=static ip...Which means everytime you connect to the internet you have a different ip address which makes being banned from servers or websites a lot harder to impossible :POh well I'm donel8r...Canada rules!

Yes there are many scripts pre mae for you and most of them are installed you cpanel....Just go 2 fantistico like lacking said.... I can't remember the name of one of the scripts inside there but it is souly made for the purpose of teachers and students to come together...and answer questions and stuff...I can't remember the name as I said but you should really look into it...If not just got with phpbb or invisionboard...And if you want to make a webportal kinda thing I recommend going with e107 they are really amazing and quite advanced for a webportal...They have almost developped up to version 7.0 of their software and it has a really nice community, people who really help to contribute themes and plugins for your specific needs, and it's more user friendly and not over used like other web portals such as phpnuke or post nuke....So yeah good luck with your site and if you need any help just ask here
