lol....in the surfjunky.net thing they talk about how surfjunky.com is a scam...but I also saw a thread about studiotraffic being a scam to so I do not know what to believe....But I am saying right now to not register for surfjunky until I have proof that they pay....When and if I am paid I will post it here and then people can register if they want...But from what I have read they are a scam...I will continue using them though because I am in denial ...Well actualy just because I want to make sure...But none the less do not use them until somebody psots that they have been paid...And shows the proof.-SpaceWaste

Programing My Site
spacewaste1405241471 replied to jrdonjar0591's topic in Websites and Web Designing
the quickest and simplest way for beginers is to log into cpanel and then go 2 fantisco or w.e and look under forums...there should be i think phpbb and smf install one of those as a beginer until you learn the art of good forum moderating. and once you've installed the forum you can download mods and skins at https://www.phpbb.com/ -for phpbb and http://www.simplemachines.org/ -for smf if you ant a mroe advanced forum pelase test out those ones first as a get to know and feel kinda thing... I suggest using smf though because phpbb's mod installation is very disgusting good luck -SpaceWaste -
What Is Wysiwyg? Do you know?
spacewaste1405241471 replied to vujsa's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
wysiwyg is becoming quite popular among almost all webhosts... They seem to offer programs that will help you easily manage your website without any prior html expirience...This is also usefull for webhosts who incorparate adds...Because it makes puttings the adds into the website a hell of a lot easier. the best wysiwyg program would have to be dreamwaver...It allows you to work with coding and wysiwys all at the same time while underlining the code.... A real good tool for the rich coder or smart cracker... All in all wysiwyg is a good revalation in website design and is VERY usefull for the beginners... I remember my first website was made by wysiwyg....I then completly messed it up though... I thinkt he link was http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ It's really bad though...oh well enjoy ^^^ -
I know...I was referring to a link somebody produced at the begining saying it was a scam.... All I know is that if it's a scam I can't understand why they still have so many users doing it...I don't know though...I will tell you if it's a scam in about two weeks from now when I'm supposed ot get my payout .....*crosses fingers* although a lil hope would be nice to

Trekkie out of all the people I have ever seen...You've gotta be the one who loves SMF the most...Therefore I officialy deem you to be the official SMF spokes person . Honestly though every forum has it's high points. As trekkie stated mini is not a good one at all...unless you're VERY low on space. phpBB is a good forum but trust me....They are about to get much much better in their new version olympus. So don't give them the cold shoulder just yet. Although currently the only major problem I find with their forum is the fact that adding almost any mods is so bloody hard that you'll honestly just die and throw your comp and stuff. I've been there best way to install their mods is manualy IPB on the other hand is a lot better and easier at installing mods for that I love them....Unfortuantly there is three thigns I can't stand about them...NOT FREE, not the best skins...And all technical support is scattered among the internet so you need to change from site to site whenever you need help with certain things...Atleast with PHPBB they have a majorly active forumt hatw ill always help you...and NEVER charge you. SMF....I'm sorry to say it trekkie but I've only tried SMF once and I didn't like it much....I was really new to php and forums n portals back then though so it was kinda complicated....I promise I will try it again sometime though.... But for now I simply use e107....It is a webportal with the easiest mod installation I have ever seen in my life...And to top it off they have every skin I could ever want...Every mod I could ever need...And a nice clean built in forum that seems tow ork great and not have any security holes at all Thats just my opinion on the matter...Don't take it to heart. Hope you guys chose the right forum or portal though L8r

That is quite the game you've got going on there....And it seems quite legit to...I got a email about it through I think it was...ah yes bravenet.com through their news letter I've been subcribed to for quite some time now. For this I started the topic in hopes that some people who be optimistic about the company I posted to help them keep their program going. I'm not completly sure if they are going to pay out...But so far I've made 29$ and my account has not been deleted. They pay a month after what you have earned so I expect a payment...(if any) in the next two weeks....If I do recieve a payment I intend on posting the proof on this thread...That is the reason it has not been closed yet. If people click the link and are suckered into it that is their own problem...But it should be their decision and not a decision made by others telling them is is a complete scam (although it could very well be that). So far there is no evidence that is for or against the factt hat this is a scam but let me post a few reason why people might have thought that in the begining: PEoples accounts were deleted int he beginging because they did attempt to cheat and write programs to allow them to cheat as you mentioned. Also there are security mesures implemented to prevent leaving your browser running 24/7 by making the browser time out...Sot hat the user would have to reopen the window manualy showing that he or she is actively watching the ads. Second of all they are add mroe and mroe severs to the cause to help keep it going...You can check for yourself by doing a WHOIS search of the website....So don't start bashing saying it isn't real at all. The only reason people were banned or deleted in the begining was ebcause they did infact cheat....Espicialy the ff users...They cheated majorly and got the browser banend. In the end of all things this company is just like google...IT will ban you the seocnd it sees any signs of cheating...Without any email varification on why. So basicly the whole matter comes down to a trust issue. If I am not paid though I will personaly close this topic and warn people that it is a complete scam....But until then I tell people to join at their own risk...But to be optimistic about it also. Good luck...And continue making money without working

spacewaste1405241471 replied to spacewaste1405241471's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yeah I tried that but I got some configuration problems and it didn't give me a panel to configure it or anything...And when I tried to setup a virtual host it didn't work at all...It seemed really awesome though N I plan on trying it l8r on but for now im checking through sourceforge for projects Here's a link to the section about servers. Sourceforge That has so many good projects and I'm slowly testing them...If somebody finds a good one after testing through there please post it here so I can try it out Thnx for the help all. L8r -

How Do I Translate A Something.com To An Ip?
spacewaste1405241471 replied to rapco's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yes yeah...Szupie is completly correct....It would be like finding the ip address to wasteofspace.astahost.com and then when you sue the ip address to go to my site you'll go to Xisto.com.Since http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ is just a subdomain you need to find out where the site is being redirected from. I'm sure you can find that by speaking to the webmaster of the website. Also you could probably probe the whole website and find out where exactly the folder for your friends website is located...You can do that using some type of website downloading program....Or some other indexing thing....I'm not exactly sure, but it seems simple enough. -
Yahoo's New "Adsense" Style Program
spacewaste1405241471 replied to webguide's topic in Online Advertising
You're really against social security numbers eh Jguy? ;)Meh well...There are a few other ad programs that scan the full page for relevant words...Some of them even take it a step further and make those words into little ad links...I know this because some members ont he site have that technologie and it seemed pretty engenuise to me.Ad for opaque...Well you really h8 google man N I love the h8 thing...But I'm still a optimist for them...Because I really don't want my account deleted sO I just pretend they are nice and hope everythign works out :DYahoo...On the other hand is quite hte big site, you are right on that opaque. But to whoever mentioned that thing about yahoos search being based on google...I doubt it's possible since yahoo was here way b4 google . Meh though. It should be interresing to see how this all works out...I dunno if yahoo has enough of a crew to respond to allt he help emails that will be sent though...Just as google can't. -
Ugh....After hours of looking through servers to install on my comp to run a personal/test site I haven't found one that fits all my needs. The list so far is:ApacheIISOmnihttpdXitamiNetscapeThe one I've come to love the most is omnihttpd....But I kept getting a error when I tried to run cgi-php scriptsThe error was: Something enable redirect-cgi-phpOr something like that...So yeah. If you have any ideas on a server that reseembles omnihttpd please post it here, or even better...If you know how to fix that error post htat here to :DThnx guys. l8r

Well moonwitch...I for one get paid big wads of cash to be a global moderator because of my supreme moderation skills.....LOL I wish....Nah we have these forums here for the reason that opaque stated up ahead...But like..everybody has their own personal reason to own a forum. I have mine just so I can have a active community and make some money on the side through advertisements...All in all having a forum is a simple and easy thing to do considering the major forum codes make it so easy to run a forum you could set it up and then be done with it :DMeh...W.e you do If you are gunna make a forum go with phpbb I love them....Their mod installation is horrible though.L8r

Setting Up A Web Server Computer At Home
spacewaste1405241471 replied to e-kiene's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Sweet jesus....This thing with ominsecure is really ez to use opposed to apache....It is basicly the same thing as apache though...only much simpler put...and a lot less manual text editing...that can cause serious headaches to beginners...I'm not sure how secure it is exactly, but so far I am loving this new program -

Upgrading An Ancient Notebook which HD?
spacewaste1405241471 replied to moonwitch1405241479's topic in Hardware Workshop
good lord....that is pretty crazy that you have that many thigns running on background! you should look into egtting xp though? they have a nice paging system that allows you to have a good amount of swap space when needed. And I was just thinking about it and you probably could find a bigger harddrive, but you wouldn't be able to hold both inside your computer I don't think :)Sorry about your luck...I will search ebay 2night for you though.L8r
