  1. hopefully it works out good for all parties... it will definitely be a boost for Linux
  2. hehe the thing is its a way lower ppi than most recent Mobile Devices which will make screen display more pixelated... I own a Galaxy Note 2, and comparing it to a Galaxy S III Phone, the GSIII has much more crispier display due to its 306 ppi compared to the Notes 267ppi and this difference is quite noticeable so if Galaxy Note 8 is actually 8" it will have a 188 ppi display - very pixelated for sure
  3. yip i think the pricings is just the same as in Windows... but one can always go with the humblebundle game deals because valve's steam is making a move, hopefully it will encourage other devs to port to Linux as well
  4. yip only problem imo is the resolution which is 1280x800... a bit low for the screen size i think
  5. Looking at the spec i don't think this device is any better than the note II other than larger screen but a more diluted ppi http://mashable.com/2013/01/24/photos-of-samsung-galaxy-note-8-tablet-leaked/
  6. steam on linux is on beta stage at the moment... Linux Gaming's future looks bright http://gamingillustrated.com/linux-and-steam-what-does-it-mean-for-gamers/ https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Steam_under_Linux https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Steam_under_Linux

  15. perhaps a text file... depends on permissions you have to where the file (where submission content is to be stored) and what kind of tools the system has for creating/writing files/contents
  16. I signed up, seems like a pretty cool service... hopefully it won't be shut-down again like megaupload http://www.stuff.co.nz/technology/8201230/Kim-Dotcom-launches-Mega-co-nz
  17. i remember couple of years back they were trying to sell Ubuntu Computers, see all the advertisements on TV a lot... but i think people just weren't Computer literate enough to buy into Linux (eventhough these packages were a few hundred dollars cheaper than theirx Windows counterparts) but with Steam on Linux, Gaming on Linux has a promising future
  18. and apparently Ubuntu Phone OS will likely be installable/usable on most Android devices http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ can't wait for its release so i can have a play with it on my Galaxy Note II
  19. i thought NSA stands for National Security Agency i thought NSA stands for National Security Agency?
  20. i thought it sounded like so (IT Pros vs Windows ways) I like Windows although i tried shifting to Linux but due to certain Applications (Especially games) i can't leave... but with steam being ported to Linux as well (Beta stage at the moment) i probably will completely shift at some stage in the future
  21. have a look at this review... i love the elegance of ElementaryOS but the work on the project seems quite slow... http://www.techdrivein.com/2012/12/elementary-os-luna-review-full.html
