  1. this one might work for you on Window thoughtshots.com/2011/08/turn-a-webcam-into-a-motion-sensing-security-camera/
  2. yes i would recommend you try out ubuntu or kubuntu... because as yordan suggested, it could be to do with Lubuntu (LXDE) compatibility issue with VMware toolsanother light weight alternative (which i have used on VMware with no problems) is Xubuntu (Xfce)
  3. ok i never knew page load speed really has much use on SEO.... interesting
  4. im on the same boat, when studying i would rather read something other than the chapters i'm suppose to look at for the day... so i have to force myself to read it (everytime)...
  5. i don't think C is Object Oriented but definitely C++
  6. I have been playing a fair bit of gaming lately (holidays) with my siblings... Titles include:1. Street Fighter X Tekken2. Need for Speed: Most Wanted3. Borderlands 24. Blur5. WarCraft III: Frozen ThroneI notice that Street Fighter X Tekken and Need for Speed which is played quite the most (due to multiplayer split-screen capabilities) usually crashes (the game itself and a few times gives my machine the bsd) with the bsd i never had time to view what the problem is because it just restarts immediately....I have two 12" Case Fans, and i am sure there is enough air flow, at front of the case underneath the hard drive i took out the front panel cover (DVD opening) and opening on side - so air flow shouldn't be a problemThe case is an Acrylic Sunbeamtech ACUF-HUVBAnyone had any suggestion on what could be the cause of the problem?
  7. wish i loved reading, one of the drawback when studying for my degree - reading... not that i can't read but just the drive and interests to read unfortunately i never had... but fortunately i like reading on the computer (forums/blogs/news etc) and also i get most of my text books on pdf format and reading you guys posts here on Xisto hehe
  8. should be... the real challenge comes when you get deeper in to the language core structures... especially when you get to classes and objects (there is an OO implementation of PHP as well)
  9. as yordan mentioned, shared folder would be your best and easiest option... i currently employ that as well which makes file access between host and guest very effective
  10. good luck Ahsaniqbal111, batch files are very handy for automated tasks
  11. I think page load speed would be more to do with the client/users connection speed... so in my opinion i would look more in to the contents of your pages, if you are worried about low speed accessors (dial-up)... is your website hosted by Xisto - Web Hosting (Xisto) services?
  12. you got any other Virtual Machine running? specifically another Ubuntu? Its very likely due to a Lubuntu/VMware tool issue
  13. have a look at motion on Linux https://infectedproject.wordpress.com/2007/06/26/set-up-a-webcam-security-system/
  14. hopefully they will make a mark and compete with iOS and Android, instead of being the Geeks OS on the Desktop Platform
  15. so Ubuntu will try and come up with the One OS to rule them ALL... awesome idea, very fragmented from an Apple perspective but it would be awesome to see Ubuntu on the mobile market pumping up competition and hopefully bring a great OS with a different feel then the usual and very popular iOS and Android http://www.gsmarena.com/ubuntu_for_phones_announced_arrives_in_early_2014-news-5277.php
  16. since google has acquired motorolla, it will very likely be pushing to creating its own hardware for android, so samsung has and is investing on the Tizen OS... Years back i thought that was the whole purpose of Bada OS... Samsung's own OS for it's hardwares... http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_to_sell_multiple_tizen_devices_in_2013-news-5281.php
  17. I am trying out Blur (Racing Game) which fortunately has split screen mode on one PCfor input i have Keyboard, Logitech 310, and a PS2 controllernow Keyboard and Logitech works with the game but PS2 controller isn't recognized, although all three controllers work with Street Fighter X Tekken
  18. i'm sure there are a few programs out there that can meet your requirements, have you come across one yet?
  19. the benefits are basically - i get instant access to these Working Environments (Windows or Linux) when i need themespecially when testing stuff or just when something comes to mind and in need of a quick double check...
  20. awesome... great to know you have decided on a language to start on... i think once you grab hold of programming concepts and fundamentals, it won't be that difficult to add other languages to your list
  21. i don't think it really does have any significance issue in performance in your case... unless your website is heavily traffic
  22. on vmware and virtualbox you can attach a physical partition to a virtual machine https://www.vmware.com/support/ws5/doc/ws_disk_add_raw.htmlon virtualbox http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
