ill 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2005 I'd have to say HTML even though it isn't as advanced as lets say, PHP or C#. Good HTML can work everywhere while others don't. I dunno..

biscuitrat 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2005 I'd probably say PHP - very customizable, most browsers support it, can go from being simple to very modern coding-wise. So many great things you can do with it
bjrn 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2005 HTML isn't code, HTML is a markup language. XHTML isn't code, XHTML is a markup language. DHTML isn't code, DHTML is a grouping name for a markup language + a client side scripting langue + some layout technique.Having said all that, I guess I prefer to use Java of the programming languages you've mentioned. I think it's a readable language (when written decently), and capabilities to do many nice things. And the fact that it's cross-platform is nice as well. Becca 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2005 even though PHP is extremely popular and has many scripts etc... html would probably be the most reliable. That is in my opinion. Other than that PHP is probably the best.
Xedos 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2005 HTML isn't a programming code. It is a markup language. Therefore you must be answering PHP. I would say PHP myself, very easy to learn, controlable and by far the most featured scripting language. PHP would win all other codes by far. It even won best language award in 2004. Can't argue with that.PHP > All.
round 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2005 Php has to be the best, tried my hand at java but got tired of crashing my computer.Thank the lord for php.net couldn't do it without it.round

DHTML isn't code, DHTML is a grouping name for a markup language + a client side scripting langue + some layout technique.Yep. So we can't vote between this choices. The best are definitelly, C++ and PHP. But they are different kinds of scripting languages. We cannot make softwares with php, at least I don't know how to. Yet, C++ is more powerfull than PHP because you can make (almost) everything... So my vote goes to C++

I dunno.. 48492 Thats a good point html can be used in every field of computing i use it in web design and game design and loads more but other codes like c## are more advanced so you can get cooler results. So i don't know.
The GGs 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2005 I prefer HTML as it's the easiest programming language to learn, you can do a lot with HTML and plus I struggle to learn programming languages such as PHP and Javascript.
novaforme 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2005 I would say PHP because its dynamic and once you get to learning it, it gets easier to understand.

kristofer.hoch 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2005 Whats you fav code? 48465 Hi all, This is a really good subjective question. There are several answers for me. If I am doing straight website stuff (no database connectivity) I would chose PHP. That is what it is designed for. If I am doing Database/Text Processing I would choose perl. Even if it is a Web Front End, all of my processing would happen in a backend Perl environment, and the Web Front end would just get the information and beautify it. If I am doing larger projects with one of the constaints being cross platform, or Application Scale-ablity, or if I want maintainable code, I would Choose Java. If I wanted to torture myself, or serve penance, I'd use C++. If I wanted to do a Unix or Windows simple utility that ran like the wind, I'd us C. If I wanted to do something wrong, I'd use Visual Basic There really is no "best" programming language. It is all based on what you need to do. Abraham Maslow once said "If the only tool you have is a hammer, then every problem looks like a nail" ---------------- Kristofer Hoch "I nailed that project:D"
