This is really the best deal i have ever seen, guys, this is really worth it.... i got my own domain from this, but the bestway to do it... is to work with a friend! like if you are both doing the same thing, like business, then you both post... its awesome... althought i am low on credits, (-6) i still like to come here.. its a great deal, im getting my post up now.. and hosting.. just think.... you can buy credits, some hosting on other sites is about... 40-50 dollars a month. and on trap, i forget, its like 25$?

This offer is only available to the members who have got their hosting, so first gather 30 credits and get a hosting and then make up 280 credits for the domain.

This was almost confusing.

To clarify as far as I understand, you need to actually have a host first (which is where the 30 credits come in). After you have your host, you spend 250 credits to obtain your domain name, which is basically the DNS address you type into your address bar that redirects you to your page. So you could really have 310 credits, spend 30 to host (or even using another host), then 250 for the domain to redirect to your hosted page.

Did I understand that right?

Also, out of curiosity, when you register for a domain, and someone inputs that address and goes to that domain, does it show as http://www.mydomain.com/ or does it literally redirect you to let's say https://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/;? Will your following pages look like http://myDomain.com/main.htm and http://myDomain.com/anothersection/index.htmor will they actually retain their URL?

It's a nice offer, just a couple of questions:

-Do you have to be hosted first and then collect the credits to get the domain?

-Will the domain be a .com or .net .org or other?

-If the one year of having this domain, is over doyou lost your hosting and have to apply for a new one, or it will be replaced by a subdomain?

-I'm so sorry for my poor-lite english but I didn't get the first part, are we allowed to choose one of the three options? Which mean I have to get 250 credits to get a domain and another 250 if I wanted to transfer it etc...?

-If we got a domain and hosting, do we have to pay a credit per day like an ordinary hosting account? Or we will get a year with the hosting offeref for no credits per day/month?

Thanks for this great and unique offer.

1. Yes, you must be hosted and the domain will be pointed to your Xisto account.

2. Any you want, .com, .net, im not sure about .org.

3. I beleive they give you back your sub domain

4. Don't really understand the question, basically you MUST have 280 credits, 250 will be deducted, and for the 250 credits you will get the domain.

5. Umm, I don't get how this one is worded, however, when your hosted, your credits for the host account, is turned into how many days you get to keep your hosting. So 1 credit = 1 day. So when you get 280 credits, they'll take away 250, the 280 is because 1. you can only transfer credits as long as you have 30 credits left, plus then you have 30 days of hosting left.

Hopefully that answers most of your questions.

Youi need 30 credits, you apply for a hosting account. That 30 credits is deducted, and you must post to keep your hosting, 1 credit = 1 day. Then, to get the domain you need 280 credits. 250 credits is for the domain which will be deducted, then you will have 30 left. The reason you will have 30 left is to make sure you keep your hosting up. When you get the domain you will choose your domain name. Such as yourdomain.net, yourdomain.com, etc.

Your domain will show up as the following:

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (fill in xxx with .net, etc)

or depending how you set it up

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Sometimes, if you don't take away the sub domain (the Xisto default one)

you can do right click - properties and itll show a different domain. When you go to a different page, it'll show up as like

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/page.html

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/page.php

etc. Hopefully that answers your question

I must be missing something here. Great reviews are coming in from every direction. The only people, who I can find to talk to in Trap 17 are the forum people, though. No one else appears to be home.

After a two-hour wait for some reply from the approval people for hosting a site, I moved around until I found a page that said that I had been disapproved.

There was a “level 1” problem that was not explained. Less than 0 credits didn’t make any sense to me. Then, there was some talk about being terminated or something. It was all Greek to me.

Apparently, all of the Xisto big help people are in India (too far for me to visit them, I’m afraid).

Hopefully, there is some alert administrator, who can explain what’s going on in my life. I don’t have a clue… well, at least about my new life in Trap 17.

Hey! Is that why this site is called Trap 17? Was Catch 22 already taken?

Have I been fired or am I going to jail for something? Could we work out some kind of deal?

My email is britneysbto@aol.com

Looks like you JUST joined us. If you haven't been already welcomed to the community... welcome to the community. :P

You're going to need to start posting to earn hosting credits. You need 30 credits to begin utilizing the web hosting service here on Xisto, which will be earned by your posts, depending on longevity, quality, and frequency of posting. Or something like that. :) I believe that you'll be needing at least 60 credits to actually put an application out, just because you'll need hosting credits to keep your hosting alive. Otherwise, the account goes into suspension, in which case you will have to keep posting to maintain the 1 credit/day upkeep.

As for the member level 1 problem that you mentioned, my only guess is that you may need to be a level 1 member, which comes with posting 50 posts or 100... I can't remember. But with that, you're sure to be up there with your web hosting credits, which tells Xisto that you are indeed here to stay and not just sign up and leave.

(If anyone has more input off the top of their heads, feel free to add or correct me on anything that I may have put out wrongly.)

I cannot get over this! What more could this hoster provide?Seriously, for no money we can now spend our free time posting non-spam on the forums and be eligible for a free domain name and hosting.I have tried x10 Hosting, and they appear to not even stand up to this one.If you think about it, it's not hard to post quality posts to get credits!Remember! QUALITY NOT QUANTITYThats what my Form 1 teacher used to always say...Kind Regards,Bradley Kirwan

Hey.. Am i missing something here? Last I saw that the domain was for a year only, now it says that it's for free for life.Is there a catch here? I mean you have to have 280 credits to apply for the domain for a year and have to get 280 credits the next year to keep the hosting alive or it's just a one time deal. Get to 280 credits the first time and you're free for life?Either way man this is really awesome. A top level domain is not what can be achieved freely on the internet. Please clarify.

I think it's a good incentive to get people posting. Just one question: How do you actually pay for all of this stuff? Servers? Domains?

Thirty credits in an hours really isn't that bad. Some people takes a week or even longer to build up that many credits as they don't have as much time or they spend more time putting thought into a post. If you work at that rate you could have a domain name in about 8 hours of work which is really rather nice rather than having to put in credit card information on an actual site. Just look at it this way, 250 is better than 365
