I am guilty as well as MrDee to be "more senior" than the average Xisto member (heck, I was also a "senior" Xisto member) and I have also been guilty of being absent for long periods of time, however, like Velma, I make an effort to pop in here and Moderate a little every now and again.Actually, I miss the kids who have ben gthrough the Trap system and would like for them to also pop into the Forum and update their current status. Okay, here is the first lesson you need to learn about email spam and phishing attempts.The above post describes a classic version of a bad effort to scam you. The email was supposed to be regarding a "hotmail" email account but the reply was to an MSN.com address. Does that make sense to you? Me neither.When a link is found in most email software, by hovering over the link, you can find out where the link wants to send you and then compare it to the stated problem. Especially be careful about replies to a free and open registration email address like msn, hotmail, yahoo, etc because the scammer can get those addresses easily by registering with unconfirmed (false) information and this will be a major clue to the possibility of a scam in action.Glad you didn't fall for this one and I hope my suggestion to compare the source and the target will avoid issues in the future.

One possibility would be to offer the software for free, but offer an "enhanced" version for a fee.Or offer to "personalize" the software for companies/individuals on a fee basis.Or charge a small token fee to have language updates.

I figured there would be a package to suit you sitting there in the Repositories.Xubuntu is a very light weight version of Ubuntu and ideal for older, smaller, slower machines. Since I am running an Intel i5 chip with 8 gigs, I should be good for the heavier full Ubuntu package.
