1. If a man had female sexual organs, i wouldn't or would no longer consider them a man. If they obtained these orgrans through surgical means, then they're sick people in my book. Trying to find your sources, i came upon this website: . You know, i'm not the kind of person that gets grossed out easily, but that pretty much grossed me out. Whether it's a hoax or not, i don't know, but although science doesn't define morality, that doesn't mean it can't be moral.
2. Let's re-look at the definition of prayer. You say there's no manual to teach someone how to pray, but how does one pray? To whom do they pray to? What does prayer involve? (Though i quote Dagoth, i say this in connection with where i left off before the quote.) Prayer and meditation are two different things, where one takes the time to ask for things or be thankful, while the other is just to become relaxed and requires a clear mind. If one didn't believe there was someone on the other end that hears you, wouldn't they believe it to be silly to pray? For who else would you be talking to except yourself? People are labeled "crazy" when they talk to themselves. This is where meditation comes in. So... When you define what prayer is, you mix things up—this makes things confusing because of what you go on to say. You say that prayer is when a person starts focusing their energy (this implies spiritual energy), but you go on to include outside sources of energy (i.e. physical energy) (see your example of a laser and the link to water crystals). By using a laser and water crystals as an example, you remove anything personal from your definition of prayer [1], making a laser or water crystals, prayer. The only reference you give that even gives a definition, though implied, for prayer is the Byrd study. The Rubik one only mentions the word "prayer" in the title, but it doesn't give a definition for it, and that's not enough to conclude that prayer is focused energy. Also, the title includes the word "love" though the article has nothing to do with love, so the word "prayer" could have been chosen for the same reason as the word "love." The way you presented everything is contrary to the way you "would just like to" do something. So, indirectly, you are telling the "religious" that prayer isn't communication with a Deity. You're using a loose term for "energy," which one do you want us to assume? As i see it, you did not prove your definition of prayer. The Byrd article does nothing to convince because it adds opposing criticism. The Rubik article doesn't explain what they mean by "healed" and the experiments are questionable. The Byrd and Rubik article deals with human involvement along with your definition of prayer, so i'm not entirely sure where you're going with the water crystal thing, as they can form on their own. 3. I get jagged text for the "Welcome..." I highlighted it to make sure you see it. I'm using Opera to view it; in Firefox it looks fine. Hmm? If the forum gets popular, let me know? I'm assuming the forum will soon have a lot of catergories other than "Ultimate Questions."
4. I've always recommended Geany as an editor. By "MySQL editor," do you mean one that edits the database or do you mean a subset of PHP (i.e. PHP MySQL functions)? If the former, then try the MySQL Query Browser. If the latter, then Geany. Actually, auto complete doesn't degrade the learning process, for if you don't know what the function does or how to use it, what would be the point in selecting that function except to pause and look it up? Also, the auto complete feature is a good learning tool, as it introduces other functions that the person may have not even known existed. But i agree on the copy and paste part.
5. Faith is found in science, and science has been known to increase faith. There's nothing contradictory about the two, especially if the objectives and interpretations are the same. You can't say religion is false just because someone said something while science said something (that appears to be) contradictory to it. Faith will continue on, whether it's in the belief or disbelief of something, and so will the study of things; that is, until the last day, of course. As i thought, you weren't looking at it as a whole. Religion hasn't decreased, especially since you include atheism as being a religion. By your own words, you contradicted yourself. Religion keeps growing. I think this is a case of faith before logic on your side. By the way, religion and logic go hand in hand. People not making it look that way doesn't mean it doesn't. After all, philosophy is the field of religion. I wouldn't necessarily say that people fear dying as much as they fear how they're going to die. The unknown can be pretty fearful. But one who has many unfinished business would not want to die for the sake of finishing what they would be leaving behind.
6. Actually, it does translate to something. It's in Latin. It's not the complete version of the original but bits and pieces of it, which makes it a bit hard to translate. Lorem Ipsum.
7. ! I believe you've just done yourself a favor and provided yourself with an argument to go up to London and get yourself one. You complained about three buttons, then go on to show how many buttons you have to press just for Windows. All the buttons you say one has to press for Windows equals 12, and that's excluding saving the image.
8. I don't think the word "logistics" fits, but if you did not want help in the matter, please say so in the starting post.
9. Not necessarily. Some people don't take the time to search for and look at the topics concerning Xisto or Xisto in general, especially when they believe submitting a support ticket will solve their problem. The server movement does not affect Xisto alone, it also affects other Xisto hosting sites. It is proper and much more convenient to post at Xisto - Support than to go into each forum and make a topic concerning this. And since Xisto forums have been down for a while (i'm still feeling some lag on my side), the Xisto forums shouldn't currently be relied upon for making announcements.
10. Quick question: why are you making it appear harder than what it really is? You say it's impossible to argue for both sides, but people do it all the time. All you have to do is give reasons for both sides. No theist that believes their religion to be true would accept things that is contradictory to their faith, and no atheist will agree that the amount of religions in the world is proof for God's existence. There is nothing contradictory about those two. Just refrain from stating misconceptions or assumptions (e.g. sexism, homophobia, logic and religion don't mix, etc), and you should be fine.
11. From what i've read when the beta was out, there is supposed to be better hardware support and detection, specifically making better use of Xorg's autodetection feature, making pulseaudio the default, et cetera. You personally may not notice a difference, but there might be a performance increase. I switched mostly because i like to have the latest and greatest. I only have Xfce and KDE4 installed for DEs.
12. Are you looking for something similar to Cpanel's File Manager? Or are you not interested in viewing the contents of directories, and just want a script that creates directories?
13. Although i've been running the beta version of 8.04, i'm currently downloading Xubuntu 8.04 stable so i can start on Trubuntu. Mhmm. KDE4 is not yet ready for mainstreaming, and i don't expect it to be until maybe 4.2. Although, i do have KDE4 installed next to Xfce. KDE 4.1 will have some awaited features, like extra panel configuration, though. But KDE4 is a work of art.
14. It'd be more realistic if they had a smoke machine pump smoke behind the balloon missles, but the smoke will probaly get them pulled over and handed a ticket. But this seems like an interesting and funny way to prevent people from tailgating you.
15. Personality typing is a method to classify people based on how they function, derived mostly from Carl Jung's theories. There are eight different temperaments and sixteen types in total. Each type consists of four temperaments. The most popular methods for personality typing are MBTI and Socionics. Socionics is similar to MBTI but includes a process called "Visual Identification," where one attempts to idenfity a person based on their appearance (facial structure, body movement, etc), and may differ slightly when typing people. Introverts and Extraverts Extraverts (E) are described as those who feel more "energized" around people. They're known to speak their mind, be more outgoing—they're people people, if you will. Introverts (I) are basically the opposite, spending most (or a lot) of their time inside their mind; that is, they feel at their best within their own world. Introverts are usually labeled as the "quiet types" by others. They aren't naturally outgoing and may be seen as distant or reserved by others. Sensing and Intuition Sensing (S) types are those who receive information via their senses. These types tend to be in the "present," reacting to or dealing with things as they happen or arrive. They are interested in things that are pleasing to the senses and can be quite realistic; they're generally not interested in abstract things (like theory) but concrete things; they're are generally interested in the practice of things. Intuitive (N) types take in information via their intuition, often trying to deal with things before they happen; they tend to be in the "past" or "future" (mostly future). They are into new and abstract things. Thinking and Feeling Thinking (T) is the process of handling or dealing with the information received (whether through their senses or intuition) through logical analysis. Thinking types are often seen as cold people, not naturally considering the feelings of others. They are into things logic (e.g. systems, structures and patterns). Feeling (F) is the process of handling or dealing with information through emotion; this does not mean that they aren't capable of using logic. Feeling types tend to be more into (care for) the people in a business over the business itself. They're known to easily pass their emotions onto others. Perceiving and Judging Perceiving (P) and Judging (J) is how one is motivated into situations. They basically control how the previous four temperaments work. Perceiving types tend to not fully confront things, they tend to flow with the situation. They can start a lot of projects, but finishing them isn't necessarily their main concern. Perceiving types tend to deal with constantly changing situations without much difficulty. Judging types do not like to leave things unfinished; they prefer to come to conclusions. Following rules come easy to them. Judging types work well in stable situations. What Type Am I? By many MBTI standards, i am considered to be an INTP; very few, INTJ. By Socionics, i am an INTj. I personally prefer Socionics method, as i have found it to be more accurate. I've found Socionics Visual Identification to be quite interesting, and helps me identify a person easier. Some say that if you want to convert from MBTI to Socionics, you just change the last temperament to the other. Though this may be true (like it was for me), it is mostly not always the case. What Type Are You? Psychological Type profiles.
16. On my Linux system, i just do CONSOLE sudo apt-get install apache2 php5 php5-mysql mysql-server and in a few minutes (depending on download speed) i have my local server up and running. Back when i was in Windows, the only thing that prevented my local server to work was the Windows built-in firewall. Compiling from source takes a while longer because of dependencies, but everything worked out fine. On my website i have two tutorials on how to manually set WAMP or LAMP up.
17. You can try Warzone 2100. Originally for the Playstation, but ever since Pumpkin Studios dropped the project and released the source code, Warzone 2100 has become available for popular operating systems and for free. It's one of my favorite RTS games; gameplay is greater than graphics for me.
18. No, that's not what my original statement means. My original statement says that humans did not create color. Colors "being there already" doesn't mean they could not have been created. (By the way, i added some extra words to "electriic ink" in the quote.) The both of you are trying to turn something subjective into something objective without using something that could be considered as absolute as a source for your arguments.

What color would you attribute to "colorless"? (I know it sounds self-contradicting.) How could you prove to someone that can only see black, white and their shades that the object that they're staring at is the color (for example) red?
19. Why not something more realistic? Not one human being has ever created a color—the colors were already there. Humans just gave them a name for sake of reference. But now-a-days, it's not about being or creating something unique, it's about who can do it better than the other. Also, humans can't create anything, we just manipulate our resources to fit our needs; it's more like: we don't adapt to things, we make things adapt to us.
20. I wouldn't say it's something that's required or that you need to be worried about. But if you want, in Ubuntu's repository there's ClamAV. I think ClamAV is the only anti-virus program in the repository. But i've been running Ubuntu without an anti-virus program since 6.10, and all problems were caused by me with root access. ! But don't worry, even in the most extremely rare case you were to get infected by a virus (as i'm sure most if not all viruses for Linux have already been taken care of), it wouldn't be able to do harm to your system unless you were running under root; you can't log in as root, per se, in Ubuntu. Just make sure everything you install is from their repository or from a trusted source, and you should be fine.
21. There appears to be no mention on whether or not they burned (disposed) the table. If that table is still there, i'd hate to be the one to sit at that table.
22. I call this a form of "bad publicity." If he was seen, then it wasn't in private (or in a good hiding spot). It doesn't matter what age it was that saw him, he did it in public, and that's enough of a reason to arrest someone. But where did you get this information?
23. Even if it did replace the 1 variable, it still wouldn't work. As i've mentioned above, you cannot include files the way you want to. If you want to set $_GET['id'], you have to do so with the parent page.
24. I don't think Avast advertises that it's a lightweight program. Out of many of them i've searched through back when i was using Windows XP, the only one that advertised that it was lightweight and after trying it out proved to be lightweight was Avira AntiVir. For the free version i was amazed that it had certain features that other antivirus companies would only give out if you purchase their program.
