If he acts like that with all the girls, have you ever considered how it would be like if you two were together, as a couple?

Your use of "born again" implies reincarnation. But your use of the word "God" in your later quotes implies the Christian God, because you state "his children." You seem to be talking about two different areas that are totally separate. There is no human reincarnation in Christianity. Reincarnation, in the sense of Buddhism, if i remember correctly, is a constant loop that occurs, which would mean a lack of hell. Did your parents ever discipline you whenever you did something they didn't like? If so, that would mean by your own statement that your parents are silly. [1] You're confusing religions again. You are only born once, not every time after you die. If you take on the view of reincarnation, then of course you're not going to be in hell. But this is the Christian God we're talking about, so you can't include anything like that in your judgment. [2] They're not the same people and those that die don't immediately go straight to hell. You seem to be assuming a lot of things due to considering more than one religion as if they were one. Out of curiosity, what was this "only thing"?

They're really thumbnails, so they're already linked. They don't load for me either, when using Opera. They do load, however, when viewing them in Firefox (which i find odd). Strange, they load now in Opera.

Network Install Linux On Laptop With No Cd Drive?
truefusion replied to ckcomputerstallahassee's topic in Operating Systems
There's something known as a "Poor man's install." There are many ways to performing this kind of installation. The Knoppix Wiki and the Ubuntu forums have information on how to perform a "Poor Man's install." You could try Googling for it as well. -
Been messing around with Blender, recently, and have been viewing a lot of tutorials. My current goal is to build a cathedral in Blender to be used as wallpaper. I've figured out how to make things look more realistic when rendering; though, i'm still a novice when it comes to textures. Blender's not really a hard program to use, easier than many proprietary 3d modeling software out there. Anyway, here's the cross: In case you're wondering the setup: I used a plain with an image on it for the background 'cause i couldn't get it to look right without it.

Why not just have the PHP script search the database for the same input and deny it if a match is found? I've seen, i think it was, the WordPress comment script do this.

[1:1]I do.[1:2]Only because you don't see atheism as a religion. (See number 2 in the quote.) [2]Everyone agreeing on it doesn't necessarily make it established in the same sense as that in a dictionary. Also, as we have so seen, to accept that kind of definition to the word "atheism" is to accept a definition that is contradictive to certain definitions of the word "religion," therefore making it unreasonable. [3:1]Are you accusing me of this or speaking in general? If the former, could you point out which ones i did not address head on and why it is not head on so that i may address it head on? [3:2]Is it perfectly fair and reasonable to exclude definitions from the word "religion" that is in complete contradiction to the belief in the inexistence of a deity or supreme being? [4]In what way does Darwinism allow for the possibility of a deity? If life can form without a deity, how would it be reasonable to accept that their is a deity? Just like many other words, so does the word "religion" contain more than one definition. Also, you mention that only one source has the word "atheism" marked as an antonym to the very definition that which you quoted. In what way does that not make sense? Shouldn't everyone be expecting that given the definition you have so picked? The definition which you limited the word "religion" to deals with a supernatural being. Of course the word "atheism" is going to be an antonym to it. Consider considering things as a whole. [1]And that is similar to my argument. [1]Every single nitpick for an atheist would exclude a deity, or else they wouldn't be called an atheist. Therefore they'd follow what they have set up for themselves; they are the judge of what they accept, not a deity. Atheism is the way of life for an atheist.[2]Heh. How about the first commandment out of the two greatest commandments? I am one that studies the Bible, you need not go to the trouble of obtaining a verse. Albeit, a believer does not need a command, it would come naturally. [3]Any atheist that doesn't have a firm belief, in the inexistence of a supreme being, would not be called an atheist. Therefore making all atheists "religious atheists."

For starters, turn off your caps lock or let go of the shift key when you type. You may end up annoying people doing that.

This doesn't hold. I'll show you why: "Theism is a lack of belief in no God or supernatural diety of any sort. Therefore theism isn't a religion." A lack of a certain belief proves nothing. And atheism does make up one's way of life. Who can they follow but a human (normally themselves)? This never holds water. For atheists have been known to do the same thing and to a greater extent than any theist. Perhaps you should stop being an atheist then? Also, i don't think i haven't seen an atheist that didn't also take on this view of yours. As mentioned before, it is unreasonable and biased to pick one definition over the other for the sake of calling something other than what it really is. Click on that very link you have provided and tell me what definitions are the only ones given that fit atheism. If you want to take things metaphorically and literally, then we shall. As i mentioned before, who can they follow but a human? (Literal.) They observe rituals: they are intrested in arguments and ways that attempt to eliminate the belief in a deity or deities, and may be found whole heartedly supporting these arguments. (Metaphoric and Literal.) Atheism has its own denominations (e.g. Darwinism, Neo-Darwinism, etc; some even go as far as to claim that Science is part of atheism). (Metaphoric and Literal.) I'm sure there's more, but i'm not going to go through all of them.

As rayzoredge said, the definition of religion includes "a set of beliefs." To deny this is to be unreasonable: you would be committing a logical fallacy known as "appealing to consequences." However, no matter what, there will be those who will continue being unreasonable. You cannot say that atheism describes someone without a belief or set of beliefs and then go on to say that these very same people can have beliefs. We all know that an atheist has at least one belief. Lacking one belief does not prove that atheism does not contain a set of beliefs. If it denies (a) divine being(s) or creator(s), then it is part of atheism; doesn't matter how it denies such (a) being(s).

The default e-mail address is with webbie (ending with vlaanderen-flanders.org.uk) and would, therefore, get placed in the "From:" header if no alternative e-mail is provided. According to the script, the default CC address is with info (ending with vlaanderen-flanders.org.uk). I haven't fully examined the CC one, but checking all of the "From:"s, i see that all deal with $_POST, with the exception of the no alternative e-mail as previously mentioned. So, either these aren't the e-mails you want or an alternative e-mail address is being provided when the form is submitted.

When i hooked up my two computers together using a crossover cable, i didn't need to set any IP addresses—they set themselves up; through DHCP, i think. It took a long while to set themselves up, though. But then again, both operating systems i was using were Linux, so i'm not sure if the same will occur in a Windows or Mac environment.

In Ubuntu, the only way to log in as root through GDM or other display managers is to first re-enable the root account. I forgot how to do it through a GUI, but it's unnecessary. I only know of about 3 ways to log in as root through the terminal, but i've only needed to use sudo or gksu (GNOME or Xfce) or kdesu (KDE) and nothing more for things that required root access. To mount an NTFS-formatted partition using NTFS-3g—after making sure you do indeed have NTFS-3g installed—you can edit the /etc/fstab file by finding your NTFS mounted partition in it and changing "ntfs" to "ntfs-3g". If you don't want to edit it through the terminal, you can hit alt+F2 on your keyboard and type in: gksu gedit /etc/fstab After saving, restart your computer.

"From" is a header that is sent when using the mail function of PHP. Check out example #2 found here: PHP: mail. I'm assuming that your Coffeecup Webform maker asked you to provide your e-mail and used that for the header.

Looking For Graphics Card Drivers [resolved]

What operating system are you running? Kind of hard to help without this small bit of knowledge. -
I have the same GFX card as you and Ubuntu picked it up quite fine. Since you've already ordered Ubuntu (and tried it out), there's no need to recommend it; the CD you ordered should work properly. But to answer your SuSE question, if it's the same as OpenSuSE, then, yes, your system should be able to run it; OpenSuSE requires a decent GFX card to run. And, if it's the same as OpenSuSE, you may find it to be a bit sluggish, from what i've heard about OpenSuSE from OpenSuSE users. Also, if you continue having trouble with the Ubuntu Desktop LiveCD, you may want to consider the Ubuntu Alternative CD, as it has helped solve some problems before.

"Stay on top of his daughter's education" doesn't say much. The sentence, i'd say, is unjust, as no one should be responsible for the actions of another. A test cannot be an absolute determining factor of one's education. If the judge mentioned the punishment that the defendant would suffer during the court case before the test, then that could have increased stress on the student's side. However, due to the way the family members responded, it implies that the judge did not mention any punishment before the test. No matter how much effort the parent(s) take(s) to see that their child gets a proper education, there is still the possibility of the child failing. For example, the father could have been someone who had trouble with their education and could have also forgotten a lot of what he learned in school, therefore where the teachers are unable to help the student, the father can only do so much. Also, for example, the father, due to a busy schedule, could only keep tabs on his daughter for a short amount of time. Another example: the daughter could have chosen to continue in her old path, and even with punishment from the parent's side, the daughter could have retaliated by continuing in her old path. Another thing, the article says, "months ago." How many months is it? Is that really enough time for someone to cover everything found in an average G.E.D. test? Apparently there was a pre-scheduled date for her to take the G.E.D. test. Even if this was a message to parents all over the country, how many will bear knowledge of this event, how many will actually see it as that and how many will actually care? Consider getting to know God.

The Power Of Prayer Energy at its focused best
truefusion replied to GrinningKittie's topic in General Discussion
Mhmm; i saw that point, but having the same outcome doesn't make them the same thing. The logic you present is this: They have the same outcome, therefore they're the same. Is rubbing wood together the same as using wood, gasoline and a match? Is a hand-forged sword the same as a machine-made sword? But at the same time, in your own post you show differences between prayer and meditation. -
I would if the sub category was named "Any sport that ends with 'ball.'"

In your case, you've made it simple to work with—you have a fixed width for the content. Do this: Make a DIV element that surrounds everything. Open up an Image manipulation program. Make the width of the document slightly wider (maybe 30px wider) than the width of the content ID. Make a bi-linear gradient that looks good to your liking (make sure the background is transparent on all layers). Fade the bottom half out to your liking. Export, PNG. Fill that newly created DIV element with a none-repeating background of that PNG. Optional: Set a min-height for that new DIV element.

Incredible Rising Gas Prices Gas Out of Control
truefusion replied to Echo_of_thunder's topic in The Vent
The gas prices don't bother me; let them go up. We have enough bad drivers as it is. The majority, from my perspective, of people on the road are hungry for speed. Any complaint from them is unjust. How many people here actually take the time to reduce gas consumption, whether it's by accelerating slow (or keeping within 2000rpm), obtaining a better gas-efficient car, or other methods? Here's something to consider: When you drive, how far up the RPM bar do you go?
