1. Try using a negative margin instead of manually setting its position (assuming you want the image to slightly overlap the banner): #news-content-title { position: absolute; margin-top: -10px;}
2. Isn't Illustrator verctor based? Anyway, in Photoshop, when creating a new document, just increase the DPI to like 600 or so. This will make things appear more vectorish, but will make the filesize become pretty drastic. I'm not sure how to increase the DPI after creating the document, though. It's been a long time since i've used Photoshop.Also, it is better if you place the paths on their own layer and the colors on layers below it.
3. Looking back at one of my older topics, you were one of the people that posted in that topic. It's been a long time since i've drawn anything and i still need to figure out how to get my scanner to work in Linux so that i can scan some of my other work and maybe do a tutorial. But i suppose i can still be of some use, to whatever extent. I mostly just sketch and painting isn't necessarily my thing, but i don't mind doing some brush work in the GIMP.
4. 402277 Laws are nothing without a maintainer. Miracles happen because God chose to momentarily stop maintaining a natural law. Since He created the system, it is not hard for Him to continue maintaining order in other areas while He chooses to cause a miracle in another. If we were to talk about other kinds of laws, like it is against the law to murder, those laws are useless if not maintained. If anything imbalanced is caused, it is through some kind of will, for if the universe was placed in balance, only some other will can destroy that balance and that will would have to be equal to the will that placed it in balance or greater or be allowed to cause an imbalance. Therefore there is no imbalance for the universe unless God so wills it but an imbalance in the lives of people, wherewith God provides ways of accepting life and peace. If things are in constant balancing out, then there is little to no free will, for all are on set paths for things to balance out—you have to "roll with the flow." You cannot balance out what is already balanced, it's like trying to fix something that isn't broken—you might just end up breaking it, causing an imbalance. Therefore, if something is balanced out, it was because there was a previous imbalance and not because we perceived it to be imbalanced. So either things must have already been balanced and we just perceived it as imbalanced or it became unbalanced and therefore balanced itself out through an outside will. The original poster mentioned God and the church as due their faith. When the Bible says "be rich towards God," what does that mean? Luke 12:16-21 is useful. Can you give anything to God that He Himself hasn't already given you? Therefore your only choice is to give to those less fortunate. The church tends to have a community willing to help, where one person alone can only do so much. Giving away everything you have is also a Biblical teaching. You cannot say that doing such is a bad thing because of the natural balancing laws. For if things are constantly being balanced out, then those who gave everything they had will just receive things again to give it all away again. So there is no problem with giving everything you have away. If you refrain from giving due to a selfish reason, then that is a desire for an imbalance to continue. For you are just giving to those that already have, and those that don't have are still left not having. When one gives everything they have, they no longer have to worry about college, etc. But you're assuming that "giving away everything you have" means literally "handing things over to where you no longer have any ownership whatsoever to these things." It can also be bringing in the homeless into your very home, etc. "What is mine is yours also." It can also mean giving it everything you have in effort. When times seem troubling, do not fret, but rely on God. Also, everything is perceived, so there cannot be a sometimes, for it is an always. Without God things can only be subjective, where there is nothing positive or negative outside of how one perceives things. If things are constantly being balanced out, then there is no need to fret when evil is committed; there is no need to fret when injustice is prevalent. People would only need to care about their own desires, for things will "eventually balance out anyway..." I can only be grateful that there is a God that is just who provokes others to do good, for i do not see how this balancing-out thing can ever be any motivation to do good.
5. You can look into the following and choose which one suits you best: https://www.samba.org/samba/GUI/ There may be a way to integrate Samba into Nautilus if not already integrated, but i'm not that experienced with GNOME.
6. The topic is quite general; the topic is not limited to money. Money was mentioned since it is an easy source to target—money gets you what you want, it is the main thing people trade to obtain material things. Churches ask for money because you can't trade, for example, a chair for food; you can't trade a chair as payment for the electric bill—it's not how the system of today works. It is only logical to accept money over other, non-organic (non-edible) things. Believers often volunteer to transport the goods that were purchased with the money that was given to the church. Indeed, i would like to see how people would feed the poor if there's no way to get the food to come to the poor.

The "energy" that is "absorbed," when released, does not necessarily have to be the same "energy" that was "absorbed." It could have been "converted" when it was "absorbed," and therefore a loving "energy" is released in turn. There can also be cases where no "energy" is absorbed, or after being "absorbed" none is released. But energy does not need to be transferred; energy is only "transferred" when "absorbed." If there is an outside source that gives what one has lost, then it is reasonable to say that this outside source is God, for this source has to have a conscious, or else i would assume it impossible for anything to get anything in return. However, that would imply that God is Himself subject to the very laws He set in place—but this is impossible and (slightly) blasphemous. But a question arises regardless: What happens when evil gets what good deserves and vice versa? Is the system therefore imbalanced? Or is it that what was observed to be good is what was kept and therefore marked as "wisdom"? Did they willingly exclude undesirable events? However, we are met with this statement that contradicts what was previously mentioned: For this implies that God is above the laws He set in place. If i think about it, "cause and effect" does not mean things will balance out. For the cause could just be a desire for things to be unbalanced, therefore reaching its effect of imbalance.
7. So this now only happens when you run WoW? Are there any power saving features enabled in Vista? A friend of mine once had enabled the HDD power saving feature in Vista and he noticed a decrease in performance afterwards. But can you go into full detail of all the things you did to Vista? All of the modifications, not the undoing part.
8. The ones i provided are free and the full version. They're both open source software. Both are capable of recording audio from a microphone attached to your computer. I myself run Linux and have used recordMyDesktop to record myself playing games.
9. I think you're looking for a screen capture program. There are commercial and free ones available, but i'll supply some free software for you. For Windows you can try out CamStudio. For Linux there is recordMyDesktop.
10. KDE4 applications on Windows, available for Windows 2000 through Windows Vista. Want a file manager other than Windows' file manager? Install Dolphin. Want to see how your next web layout looks in Konqueror, or want to use a file manager other than Dolphin and Windows' file manager? Install Konqueror. There are many other packages to install, just go through the list of packages for what you want to install. The programs, i think, take on the theme of the operating system, so those with Vista or a modded Windows XP set up might have a nice theme. Ever since KDE started using Qt4, many have been making their KDE applications become more KDE independent, where these applications are becoming available not only for Windows, but for Macs as well. Visit https://community.kde.org/Windows for more information. Mac users may check out https://community.kde.org/Mac/ Note: KDE 4.1 is near the point for a production environment, but not entirely there yet.
11. There may be more to worry about than that. One shouldn't give or trust their health to a fast food restaurant. It's best to do research on what you eat at places like these before continuing. See Mcdonalds Nutrition Facts for Desserts and Shakes. It appears to have a little less sugar than 8oz of soda (i usually compare sugar amounts to that of what soda has). As for the nutrition the fruit provides, either it doesn't have much fruit in it or the fruit lost a lot of the nutrition during the process (this is usually the case), 'cause 15% daily value for Vitamin C isn't something i'd expect from something that has fruit in it. I've never eaten any dessert from a fast food restaurant—i try to keep away from fast food restaurants—so i'm not sure how much fruit it has. But you (i.e. giselle) may be better off making your own yogurt.
12. That's how i thought it would be. You have two instances of the variable row_albums that give the variable mysql_fetch_assoc(). The foreach in my coding assumes that the array would be ordered like this: Array( [0] => Array ( [albumname] => cool album 1 ) [1] => Array ( [albumname] => cool album 2 ) ...)If you comment out the line near the top where the row_albums variable is initiated, that should fix the problem where the word gets cut. But i need to update a certain part of the foreach so that each album appears on its own line: foreach ($albums as $key => $val){echo $albums[$key]['albumname']."<br/>\n";}
13. Hmm. Can you do me a favor and run the following, after the while statement, and show me the results? echo "<pre>";print_r($row_albums);echo "</pre>";
14. This is where the WHERE clause comes into play (assuming you're using PHP)—we'll use Grendel in this example: $result = mysql_query("SELECT `albumname` FROM `albums` WHERE `bandname` = 'Grendel'");To be able to pull up all ablums by the band, you'll have to do a little looping: while ($r = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)){$albums[] = $r;}Once that is done, you'll have to go through the albums array: foreach ($albums as $key => $val){echo $albums[$key]['albumname'];} Note: i chose mysql_fetch_assoc over mysql_result for two reasons: mysql_result has always caused me problems in the long run; you may later want to select more than one column.
15. When a person feels that the fire is no longer there in the relationship they tend to start having second thoughts about the relationship. This is improper, since a spark can still be ignited. Unless you have forgiven her, i don't believe that the spouse you say cheated on you is your current spouse. If it is the one you're with now and you have forgiven her, then it is pointless to bring up the past; you will not be justified in leaving her, because you have forgiven the past. If it is your current spouse but you have not forgiven her, that does not mean your aunt in law has a valid reason for leaving her husband. Also, if it is your current spouse and you have not forgiven her, if the event occurred long ago, why bring it up now? A relationship isn't about leaving when the times are bad or when things feel sour. Do you know what kind of emotional stress you and your aunt in law can place upon your current spouses just by leaving them? You say you have been cheated before in the past, you should therefore already have insight on how one would feel. Let's imagine for a moment that you and your aunt in law were together like you guys want to be. Then the relationship becomes sour, and we're back where we're at now. This is silly; emotional stress was placed upon your past spouses in order that you and your aunt in law may be together, but in the end the relationship you once wanted is now sour. Therefore, consider your current relationship, for unless your want for your aunt in law stops here, things will only repeat themselves.
16. The Kernel source should be in Ubuntu's repository, but if they say version 2.6.24 of the Kernel has built-in support for your device, then i guess you can forget about the drivers. To send them an output of lspci, simply type this in the terminal: CONSOLE lspci >> ~/lspci.txt That will create a text file called lspci.txt in your account's profile with everything that lspci outputted. If you do no have lspci installed, the system may inform you of that and tell you what programs specifically to install. After installing it, run the command again, if you did not already have the program installed. Then you can just send them the text file as an attachment. Just first make sure there is some information in the text file before sending. To answer their second question, run: CONSOLE sudo modprobe e100 If there's an error, you may want to write it down. After running that, to see if it is loaded into the Kernel (i'm assuming this is what they're asking for), you run: CONSOLE dmesg | grep e100 I'm running Gentoo, and when i do that last command, i get the following output (just to show you an example): CONSOLE $ dmesg | grep e100Allocating PCI resources starting at e1000000 (gap: e0000000:10000000) e100: Intel? PRO/100 Network Driver, 3.5.23-k4-NAPI e100: Copyright? 1999-2006 Intel Corporation (Note: the dollar sign is a terminal prompt, where you type commands at.) If you do not get any output, then run: CONSOLE dmesg >> ~/dmesg.txt and send them that as well.
17. Yeah, finding a job now is difficult. But what about "mi casa es tu casa"? Currently the best thing i can think of, as i don't see any other way to help unless you can provide his dad with a job. I'm not an employer nor do i believe i live in the same area, so this is as far as i can help.
18. It's not a phpMyAdmin problem, it's more of a permissions problem; it never was a phpMyAdmin problem. Learn MySQL and make your own database administration panel that uses cookies instead of sessions. Otherwise wait for someone to figure out the cause of the problem from the server side like we are waiting. I have assumed that a cron job may be causing this error, but i can't verify it. Starting a support ticket with Xisto - Support is useless and pointless (as time has proven) for this problem at the moment, so i don't recommend doing that. It has been said that Opaque would look into it when he gets the chance. Until then, let's try to keep these topics from duplicating.
19. Have you seen bug #1? I found it to be interesting. Apparently it was started by the founder of Canonical.
20. Try closing Vista's sidebar and see if that helps. It could be a gadget that is causing the random crashes. If that's not it, then perhaps doing yet another fresh install but this time wait a while before installing anything, like 30 minutes or so, might help. If no crash, then install one thing, wait a certain amount of time, like maybe 30 minutes or so, and repeat. Start with the graphics card driver. I've been doing some research and it seems to be mostly concerning the graphics card. Let's forget about the fact that the drivers for your system is "Vista compatible," and assume that all are faulty for now. After installing all the drivers at set intervals and the problem persists, if you were installing the drivers from a CD that came with your hardware, perhaps those drivers are already outdated. If they are and the problem still persists after upgrading, then perhaps it is Vista.
21. I already knew about the other two (and i have been working on an Xubuntu-based Christian distro), but... What in the world..? Sadly, i feel like this should have been expected.
22. Well, to install the driver according to the readme you have to navigate to where you extracted the driver, in the terminal. One easy way to do this is by navigating to where the folder is through GNOME's file manager, then right clicking on the folder in the file manager and choose "Open terminal here." If that option isn't available, then open up the terminal through the applications menu (should be under either accessories or system). You have to use the cd command to navigate to it (assuming it is extracted in your home directory): CONSOLE cd ~/path/to/e100-<x.x.x>/src/ Replace <x.x.x> with the version number (hitting tab after typing out "e100" should do it for you). Once in, type this in the terminal: CONSOLE sudo make install It'll ask for your password here. Once it is finished, to load the module into the kernel, you type in: CONSOLE sudo modprobe e100 If it fails, consult the ldistrib.txt file that came with the driver, as the file may have to be moved. I'm going to leave steps 6 and 7 to you. The readme has some information concerning make errors which you may be interested in.
23. If you posted this topic via your Intel pro 100VM device, then it is not a driver issue. You may want to consider Samba for networking multiple computers that have different operating systems installed.But, yes, the readme assumes you know how to use the terminal.
24. The rule means if you're going to have your site in a language other than English, you must have a way of viewing it in English; every page that isn't in English and that is visible to the public must have an English version of it.
25. I haven't researched if the GIMP can do batch processing, but since this is already posted under the tutorials section, i'll reply here. Depending on the size of the water mark and how complex or simple you want it to be will be a deciding factor for the size of the pattern that we'll be making. The easiest way i can think of for making a water mark would be through GIMP patterns. But for this example we'll use the default document size: w: 420; h: 300. Start off by making a new layer and make sure it's transparent. Delete the default "Background" layer so that we have a transparent background. I'ma assume what you mostly want to do is either place a logo or just some simple text. In this example we'll do some simple text (doing a logo is similar: just replace the text with a logo), so grab the text tool and type in whatever you want. Make sure it fills up the layer at least 51%. The position doesn't necessarily matter, as depending on the image you're water marking it may come out uneven anyway; you'll be able to move around layer afterwards if you want. Once you're done, save your work as a GIMP pattern. You should see this option under "Select File Type (By Extensions)" when saving. Browse to where you saved the GIMP pattern and copy and paste it into the patterns directory within the GIMP directory. (Under Linux it would be located under ~/.gimp-2.4/patterns or similar.) Back in the GIMP in the window where all the layers are, the default GIMP layout should have the Patterns palette located right under it. Hit the refresh button to have it load up your new pattern. The patterns are ordered alphabetically based on the title you gave it when the GIMP asked for one. Now open up the image you want watermarked. Create a new layer and while having the watermark pattern selected, click Edit > Fill with Pattern. You may want to set the mode of the layer to "Overlay" for a more appealing look. That's basically all there is to it. You can open up your pattern for further editing in the future, you'll just be restricted to one layer. In the end you should have something like this: In case anyone is wondering, i did indeed create that in the GIMP, so watermarking is perfectly fine here.
