The Global Warming Scam The Global Warming Scam
Alex Cicala replied to sofiaweb's topic in Science and Technology
To True, People need to understand that if the world's population continue on this path for a while, the world is not likely to end or come to disaster or anything similar. Al Gore's movie "AN Inconvenient Truth" shows people all the possible 'theories' that are out there about Global Warming, He says that the carbon emission content will grow 4 times as it is now, although if this is true it's nothing will can't handle. Plant life will adapt to these changes and so will we. If it is us that will change or technology, us humans on Earth have a way of figuring things out. The issue on Sea Levels is a scary possibility, although people need to realize technology is changing by the minute, we will figure something out such as alternate living spaces for the masses of people and so on. Although Sea Levels are only growing at such a slow rate that it may drop a few Cm's a year as well as rise, it's pretty much all a cycle. My view on this is that if people could survive some of the Ice Ages those many years ago, well what about now with our kind of technology, heh ??? ... Think about it! -
Hello Endy Jasmi,Welcome to Xisto Forums, I hope you will help contribute to the ever growing forum. You can just talk about anything in here. Make sure you read all the rules and understand them, also follow the guide to getting a free hosting account on the main page. That will help you out alot. Also beware not to spam, the reason is that if people start to spam the forum will start to get boring, and then eventually die out of members .Best thing to do is keep active, share your knowledge around and support the Xisto Community. Hope you enjoy your stay here xD.

What Is Your Favourite Operative System? Most used only.
Alex Cicala replied to SpiderVV's topic in Operating Systems
My OS is now currently Windows Vista, because I got a RAM upgrade and thought it would be good to use Vista. My favorite operating system is Windows XP, Windows XP is the easiest, fastest and most reliable operating system. You can use more programs with it, you can personalize it to suit you, it doesn't use alot of RAM and it's very user-friendly. My favorite thing in XP is the ability to customize the entire OS to suit you. You can create your own GUI or create something that looks like the desktop of a MAC or Linux system. The best program to use for customization is Rain meter, its a system monitoring application that can show the computers information on the desktop in fancy and interesting ways. You can easily hide things on the desktop and then add a hover-dock with all your shortcuts and allow for extra space for things you want. The most interesting thing is that Vista still can't run all the programs that XP can run, these are mostly older programs that existed around the time of XP's Release. I like the Vista Sidebar, although it uses alot of ram. XP can have alot of things similar to the sidebar but with less RAM usage. More games work on XP than Vista, Vista's only advantage in games is Direct X 10 and the upcoming version of 11, i think. . XP is compatible with pretty much every driver that has been made for the PC, which is amazing and is what people need. The only program I see is that Windows 7 is soon to be released. This will cause a problem for Windows XP as it will tend to seem outdated been 2 versions done, no doubt people will still use it, it's just it won't last long.... -
Witch Is The Better Plan Order! In Xisto?
Alex Cicala replied to myke's topic in Web Hosting Support
I used to have the Logic Plan $1.95 and it is very good, with alot of features. I recommend this as your first package. I'm going to be posting alot after this week, I'm building up my MyCent's to get the Ideal Plan/Package which comes with unlimited everything at only $11/mo. Hopefully I can get $11 of mycents per month. :S -
Not exactly, if you have a high upload speed that means no-one is seeding that torrent. Setting ur upload speed down to 3 or watever makes ur download speed go down to. My suggestion look for a better torrent source.

Signature Tutorial Learn how to make a complete signature
Alex Cicala replied to madjar's topic in General Discussion
I like your tutorial, when I used it I decided to use a different color and use an overlay of another color. Made it look heaps good. -
I will give you some reasons why. It's a small and lightweight program. It is easier to port map and upload your own torrent. And I use it also.

"gamer Buys $26,500 Virtual Land" (from Bbc News)
Alex Cicala replied to wonbin's topic in Computer Gaming
It's really annoying to see this, from a non-mmo gamers or non-gamer perspective. Although the people playing these type of games take it way too seriously. It's entirely up to them, they are spending the money, so it is there decision. In my view its just utter madness. But, what can I say, it's not affecting me. -
In Australia the general idea of torrents or torrent downloading will get our home internet suspended or possible jail terms/penalties. It's stupid that the government would think of such things to combat piracy. The best way too combat piracy is to find the source of the content uploader and give that person the penalties. I use torrents to send CS:S maps to people, the torrent content can contain up to 4gb sometimes. This is why I use torrents, it is more useful then flying overseas and delivering the content on a disc or USB drive. Piracy has latched onto torrents for sometime now. The general idea of people downloading the content is that the content will remain in-house and not sold or publicly viewed.

Nintendo Developer Kits found the website :)
Alex Cicala replied to FruitRocks's topic in Science and Technology
I think their too busy thinking up another console to compete with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3. It's a shame they didn't reply that makes me not wanna like them more . I'm okay don't need to worry bout this "offer". I'm too busy mapping for the Source SDK for Valve games on PC. PC is sooooo much better than console. -
We used to play these games on the school LAN network, when the teachers weren't looking. We always got caught though but kept playing the next day. *probably why i failed year 7 math* Anyway we stopped playing the games when the IT coordinator left and we got a new one plus a bunch of tight IT Techies. Something that the school didn't need. Now the internet and computers have multiple firewalls and website blockers that slow down the computers to a state that makes studying or doing homework impossible. All the games we played were on Windows 98 Systems and this was in 05, 06 so the school's computer system is retarded. Now we have Windows XP and all the computers run not from the box, but from the network, which sucks.

Aids Or Swine Flu? Which Disease is dangerous you think......
Alex Cicala replied to arjupun's topic in General Discussion
Swine flu isn't fully considered dangerous, possibly only to people with pre-exiting medical problems. In Australia over 6000 people have the Swine flu and only 10-20 have died and they were mostly cancer patients. Swine flu indeed spreads the fastest and most easily although AIDS would be considered more dangerous. I live in the state of Victoria were the majority of people have swine flu, but in my area only a few people have it. I'm not in any worry. Although even catching the normal Influenza Virus is more dangerous then Swine Flu. The number of people who die from influenza is higher than the people who die from the Swine Flu. On a final note AIDS is far more deadly then Swine flu but AIDS does not carry as easily to one person to the other. -
Please Make A Review Of My Blog
Alex Cicala replied to moonheart's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Seems very knowledgeable .First thing that is wrong with it, is that it's easy to get lost. The pages need to be sorted in a way that is easy for the visitor to navigate. This can be done through ways of formatting and color coordination. It's a simple theme, which I like about blogs but needs some more color. Probably a smarter way to advertise, TheDisturbedOne is right about the page loading slow. It's not very slow for me, but it'll be hell for 56k users or similar. The header tabs and the white do not mix.A better organization of categories, its fine but you can do better .So overall I rate the site 7.5/10. Final words: With a bit more work put into this, it can become something great. -
I don't think Wordpress would use many resources. Although I searched up the issue in Google and found this optimizing page for your wordpress blog: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ It may come of use to you. I'm not a user of wordpress, well I have tried it once but never sticked to it.

Bill Gates Is No Longer The Richest Man In The World
Alex Cicala replied to Saint_Michael's topic in General Discussion
I think this is old news, I once heard Bill Gates earned from personal income and shares over $48 million dollars per day. Anyway the thing is Bill Gates wouldn't be the richest anymore because is one of the most generous billionaires in the world. He now donates most of what he earns. This is why I respect him. People like Donald Trump on the other hand are greedy rich, not really donating at all. -
Siamese and Burmese cats are my favorite.I like indoor cats, they are good to look after and they are very playful. They also listen LOLThey are easy maintenance when they are indoors, they don't get messy and they don't get sick. It's best to look after them well or they can get annoying, treating them with fresh food is the best thing. I have a Siamese cat myself, it loves leftover chicken, sometime we even give it fresh chicken on the day we have it for lunch or something. These two breeds of cats also like to get to know people. Normally they sniff the scent of a person who is new to fully get to know them. My cat sniffs me to identify who I am. They are very smart cats. Also age can live up to 25 years I think, depending on how you treat them. Mine is 14 hopefully it gets to 20 and beyond

How You Justify Piracy? let the debate begin
Alex Cicala replied to Baniboy's topic in General Discussion
Piracy picks out the good items that people release, from programs to games, movies tec.My view is that Piracy is only good if no profit comes to the source and all of the content is kept private, and not distributed or shown publicly. -

Torrent files are all legal yes, Cause torrent engines such as Utorrent and Bitcomet are all freeware. The person uploading the file should be the one who gets the penalties.

All a bunch of mumbo jumbo. [made up] In my view Religion was made up to answer the confusing or complicated things in life, like The Universe and Sex :S. God is just a shield to protect people from the trues of life.My view of the world being destroyed is our Solar system's sun going supernova or dying. Life will never live for ever, although new life can be created, that what I think. So if the earth was destroyed, then life would be in another galaxy or planet.

Nintendo 64 Or Playstation 1...what Was It The Best?
Alex Cicala replied to fermin25's topic in Computer Gaming
The N64 is the achiever here. N64 had much richer graphics for its time and was an instant classic. Although the PSX had many hardware malfunctions and the graphics side was a bit ripped off from the N64. There are many console scenarios around like:N64 - PSX = N64PS2 - Xbox = XboxPS2 - Dreamcast = DreamcastXbox 360 - PS3 = Xbox 360PC against Console = PC always -
Black Holes do exist, but they popup randomly. Thats why its hard to see or track one. It is theorized that Black Holes can be found only at the appearance in the universe, because all things + light will be sucked into it, and it'll only be opened for a short amount of time. I believe they can lead to other dimensions/universes. Just nothing has been proved... :S
