no9t9, you just rubbed me the wrong way with your earlier post, that's it. it felt you are so callous to explicitly write: like you think not enough prayers/attention can go around, and that there is already enough for the pope and there shouldn't be more. well, i just pointed to you that prayers for the pope and all people around the world (including you) is sufficient/enough/goes around, and is never lacking. if i were a bigot, i would exclude you in our prayers, and not include you. and you ask: "Why don't other important issues get the same attention?" would you have learned of teri shrivo if she was not in the news, and she didn't get attention and not publicly discussed and debated? http://forums.xisto.com/topic/9610-terry-schiavo-the-pope-dead-and-dying-what-do-you-think/ i thought that would have been a post you made, with your constant moaning about important issues and how you feel like they get sidetracked. but i was wrong.

Adding Downloads Can my website support downloads?
serverph replied to Cypher's topic in Web Hosting Support
it's better to have those things hosted in a server which can handle heavy bandwidth. although i have a downloads section on my site, these are just a listing of links i have going to a separate server. GIVE ME A +REP, and i'll share a link which can host your files up to 30MB each, and unlimited number of downloads. heheheĆ¼ just kidding about the rep thing, it's april fools day anyway! but the hosting server is not a prank, it's true: THIS is the link. Enjoy! -
to Wyllt: it is a good heart which should be admired most, and not his religious leanings. you have a good heart. :Dto no9t9: you are correct, everyone will die. but don't piss on anyone for wanting to pray for the recovery of a revered person who has inspired a lot of people, who even in his illness fought for Teri Shrivo's right to life, and even cared more for people of all walks of life, nationality, religion, or whatever, more than you'd care to imagine. you would be assuming too much if you think people didn't care nor even prays for people you mentioned like those people in disasters, calamities, and other individuals. a lot of people do. and we pray for souls like yours too. to dragonfly: this is the pope's second "last rites" (it's actually called, "Anointing of the Sick/Extreme Unction"). first was when he was shot by a turkish assassin way back in 1981.

Need To Think Of A Good Site Name...
serverph replied to cragllo's topic in Websites and Web Designing
xebuild is great becca... but do a google search first. looks like it's already in use by incredimail. but hey, if they didn't register it as a domain yet, then go for it! -
Read the article in full here:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4396387.stm my thoughts (without the benefit of a brain chip as of yet ): amazing! and immensely beneficial for people who have lost their motor skills. but will it remain in the threshold of use by paralyzed people only? will there come a time when even non-paralyzed people can have implants such as this, for the sheer pleasure of having the capacity to control mechanical devices by way of thought, like a neat party trick one can hide 'under one's sleeve'? "Hey, look! I will think of a number, and see it flash on screen!" even if you don't need it, would you consider having a brain chip to read your thoughts and control external objects? it's possible, right? of course i just gave a mundane example above, but what would you do if you have some power over matter with your mind?

Need To Think Of A Good Site Name...

how about CLPort or CLPortal? just some wordplay on your initials and the word 'portfolio'. sounds like a nice destination for me. -
if Xisto hosting terms are not acceptable to you, and don't want to post to earn credits, you can always get your free discuz forum from these providers...

actually, a town of that description can exist. that barber just needs to grow no beard/facial hair at all. not all males can grow beard/facial hair anyway, for some genetic reason or whatever, so if that male chooses to be a barber, and strictly follows to shave daily every man who does not shave himself, then the paradox is broken. :)or there could be another barber altogether, but FEMALE (who does not need shaving), who shaves the MALE barber daily. again, paradox is resolved: THAT TOWN CAN EXIST.

New Custom Bbcodes For This Board
serverph replied to miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG's topic in Alerts, News & Announcements
nice ones, admin micros been waiting for that NOTE tag all along. why? because i used to use the CODES tag to include mod notes to erring and edited posts. aside from making other members informed on what pitfall to avoid in their posts also, i didn't want to add more credits to that member who violated forum rules. and the NOTE tag is the way to do it. B)now i'm a happy mod. -
Not Really Sure... question regarding an all in one site
serverph replied to demongaara's topic in Websites and Web Designing
yup, CMS it is. there are several ready-to-install cms from your cpanel. check those out to see which one fits your need. if you don't like one, uninstall it, then auto-install another. -
beats me! firefox doesn't seem to complete processing of rep pages, and one would fail to view the rep points and comments in its entirety. usually fails to return the last rep comment, so what you might have seen is the rep comment from a previous member. i don't suppose it's random at all.

welcome to Xisto, nonon. enjoy your stay here.

there's an issue with viewing rep system via firefox. don't know if it can be fixed right away. use IE instead if you want to view and give out reps.
-
issue resolved then. closing topic.

you seem to have missed to upload your logo.gif, that's what appears as a blank image from your index page. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/gives a 404 not found error. just re-upload the file. i didn't check your other pages so if same error occurs, you just missed uploading some of your images.

Problems With Videos Within Games.. need some help..
serverph replied to heavensounds's topic in Computer Gaming
maybe a better video card is needed. would you know what specs your friend has for his gaming system? most built-in video cards (those included within the motherboard) and older video cards would yield problems like these, especially with newer games. best solution is to upgrade video card. maybe other options are available. just wait for some more replies here. -
you just need to overwrite the default background image with the picture you want to appear as you new background. but you should consider to resize your new background to have the same size configuration as the old one. when done, just upload it to your host with the same filename and extension as the default.

i suppose you want the code to break out of frames? here it is: <script language="JavaScript"type="text/javascript"><!--function breakout_of_frame(){if (top.location !=location){top.location.href =document.location.href;}}--></script></head><body onload="breakout_of_frame()"> take note that the javascript has to be inside the head tags (so i included the closing tag for the head tag in the code). don't forget also the command within the body tag (included as well in the code to guide you). hope this helps.

what i like best in the new features google adsense offers is the new payment option via local currency. luckily, my country is included in the 43 countries they currently support for this. benefit? reduced bank charges and shorter clearing times. what i like to see next, is to have the text "ads by gooooogle" removed from the ads they show. wishful thinking, perhaps? oh well, google is still the best.

welcome back, eric what happened to you anyway?

good question, casanova. that's scary stuff. a "self-preserving blackhole on earth" can be a nightmare. maybe those with solid background in physics can help us out here.
