Help Me Fix A Problem On A Laptop Runnig W98
FLaKes replied to andrescasta's topic in Hardware Workshop
Why dont you just format the pc and reinstall the O.S. It will run much faster than the operating system it has now, and you would instantly get rid of any junk it may have (not to mention spyware or viruses that couldve been the main cause of that malfunction.) -
Yeah, what Joshua132 said is very true. I have a PVR (the tv tuner, I dont know why its called a pvr) and media center on my pc, and first I was really happy to play the xbox on it but I realized that I was getting my a** kicked in halo and it was because there is a lag, which is created by the computer decoding the video to display it on the laptops monitor. So I guess it wont ever be a hd solution to playing the next generation games

Top 10 Gifts To Avoid For Christmas Dont be a bad Santa
FLaKes replied to The Pianist's topic in General Discussion
Interesting, I wasnt thinking of getting any of them anyways. -
LOL, that was really funny. Succesfully installed cancer, lol. Its sad cause here in Mexico you can see lots of teens from middle school smoking thinking they are cool. My girlfriend was one of those but she quit and looks back at how stupid she looked. Its really really sad lately cause now its not only smoking, but cocain is the new trend, and its really really easy to get. I wonder what will come next..

Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire May contain spoilers
FLaKes replied to mykokology's topic in General Discussion
This was the first Harry Potter movie I have ever seen on the movie theater, and believe me I was Impressed, totally. I always had this idea that it was sort of like a spy kids type movie, and I have obviously not read the book either. I got into it a couple of months ago when my girlfriends sister was watching the last harry potter movie on dvd. I saw some frogs singing, and you bet I will never forget that, it was really crazy. This last movie was great, I dont know about the book, but it really wasnt that hard to understand except the part where harry potter enters the well of thoughts or whatever it is called of the director of the school (dusseldorf or whatever he is called) where they are judging someone. -
When In Doubt, Cut Your Computer Into Pieces Interesting forum topic...
FLaKes replied to Dooga's topic in Hardware Workshop
I would like to see the image first. Maybe it was photochopped like some other guy in the forum said. I wouldnt believe someone would do this, unless he is rich of course. No person that works hard for this type of hardware would dare to try and cut it just because a friend said so, atleast not by himself, or at least thats what I think... -
Good Luck! I hope you get the best place in the venue, I would definetely go If I were you. I like Mudvayne also (though I liked the L.D. 50 a whole lot more) but not as much as I used to, but I would go anyway. Not many bands come to my city even though its the second largest city in Mexico.

I think this is going to be really good, especially for the children and schools not only in Africa but all over the world. They wont have to carry as many books as they would have too, and the secretary of education (at least in Mexico) is going to save a lot of money (well actually I guess they would invest it in the laptops) compared to all the books they give out for free.

Help Required Regarding Adding Javascript In A Web Info.

I think that you can avoid this by linking the javascrit file externally instead of having it in the page. Like this: <script type="text/javascript" src="file.js"></script> -
Can Someone Help Me Out? Im a bit confused
FLaKes replied to AmandaB78's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I think you should do something about the pictures, the Kates bracelet page takes forever to load. You should compress the pictures more. They weigh like 200 kb each. For their size I think they should weigh about 40 to 50 kb max. And amandas earings and bracelet section doesnt show up for me either, they appear as html code. -
It must have to be a really really hard pressurized suppressed sneeze, because Ive sneezed really hard (specially cause I have allergies) and suppressed it many time but nothing like that has ever happened to me. Now that I know I wont do it anymore. (you know when you do something without knowing nothing ever happens to you, but when you do know the consequences or something suddenly it happens. Like the coyote when he is running in the air and he doesnt fall down until he looks down.

Yes, and I bet that all this technology is the reason why computers havent steppedo out of the technology they are in right now, cause as soon as they come up with something almost instantaneously there is another huge advancement that could work better for it with different technology. I wonder how much more time will pass until we have a new generation of computers in the commercial sector. Maybe they will combine everything, (nano, light, those new paper thin screens, etc.) When it does its gonna be really cool though.

... How will I ever get that song out of my head now? But its a great invention.

OMG. I would totally die for a teddy bear like the one in the artificial intelligence movie. Im sort of jealous that in some years kids are going to have a teddy bear like that, and that when I was a kid I got my teddy bear taken away because it gave me allergies.

Here in Mexico its half and half. There is the new generation (kids, teens, modern people) who celebrate it, and there is a lot of costume parties, but trick or treating is sort of rare (I think its because its too dangerous). Then there is the older people, or more traditional type that hate it and are trying to abolish it because it is sort of eating up our own tradition which is celebrated on November 2, which is called "dia de muertos" or day of the dead. Everyone sells candy skulls, ornaments, and there even is a bread "Pan de muerto" that is baked especially on this month. Well the celebration is about going to the cementary, remembering the ones who have passed away, they sing them songs, and put lots of things on their graves that they used to like, for example, tequila, favorite foods, play their favorite music, pictures, etc. Then in the morning like 4 am of something like that, people leave the cementary and they dont have to work that day.Kind of scary, but I think its actually fun. My family is sort of modern and we celebrate both though there is no trick or treating or going to the cementary. Costume parties are really fun, and the candy skulls and the bread is good too. I would like both traditions to stay, but this year halloween was really dull and ignored, I guess because it landed on monday.

Dofus Is Free Now ! THE famous MMORPG made by flash ,
FLaKes replied to aminzzlink's topic in Computer Gaming
Hey, Thanks a whole bunch for this game. Its really cool, and I havent played and Rpg in some time, so thanks a lot. My characters name is FLaKes in the game if you ever see me so we can make a group. -
Ive played all of them, and indeed they are different. I remember thinking that xbox and halo were a piece of crap, until I played it. I thought it was really awesome, I beat the game from start to finish in the hardest difficulty level in cooperative mode with different friends, and the vehicles were very cool. The same thing happened to me with counterstrike, I was like, how will I ever stand to play a game were you get killed and have to wait for some other people who could be camping somewhere to get killed or plant a bomb or something. Then I played it and, wow, what a great game. The Quakes, Ive always liked them, except the Quake IV which I did not like because it felt more like a doom v3.1 or starship troopers the game. The Unreals have always been awesome fps.

Wow, I didnt know Rare got sold to Microsoft. I always thought that Rare was one of the best video game companies. No wonder I havent heard of any new Rare games lately.

Hi, first of all, Im no graphic designer so I dont know much about graphics. I heard somewhere that graphics that are going to be printed need a resolution of 300ppi. So I started making some ID cards with this resolution (keeping in mind that many of them will be printed) and when I finished it I got a really huge image. Then when I print previewed it on firefox and explorer Instead of being the original inches it was supposed to have it took up like half a page. Please help me out so I can send these Id's to the people once they are finished so they can print them out in normal size.

I think that it depends on the console. I remember that mario party and goldeneye were awesome on the nintendo 64, on the supernintendo it was streetfighter and mario kart, on game cube it was super smash bros, and on xbox it was definetely halo. I dont remember ever playing any party games on playstation, but on the pc there are a whole bunch of games, it used to be starcraft, counterstrike, half life, quake, warcraft 3, and the list can go on, and on, and on...

Thanks for the info, im already downloading it, Ill probably play it tomorrow. -
Wow!! Awesome!!! Yeah, Im gonna get a couple of these, and instead of having still pictures in my walls I can have video!! and, imagine all the things that can be done with this technology, Did anyone ever see the movie, I forgot its name but it was directed by Steven Spielberg, and Tom Cruise was the main actor. They had tvs on the cereal boxes!! Marketing is going to have lots of advantage with this technology, I think it will really be a huge revolution, but sorry, I guess I got a little bit excited, but thanks for the info!

New Technology Gives Thought More Power
FLaKes replied to beeseven's topic in Science and Technology
Wow, this is great technology. I dont see myself as ever using it to be a lazy person, but instead Im already thinking of a bunch of things I could do with it. Multitasking, like doing many things at the same time. It would probably be hard at the beginning but once you get the hang of it you will be able to do awesome things with it.
